Ruq:Well, it is like the story of the 10 blind men who went to the zoo to 'see' an elephant. After the visit, everyone had a different perception as to how an elephant looked like. honeric01:Send your collections through my mail, lol |
I believe the debate is getting unpleasant at the moment. The poster just ask a simple question and need an advice on that. But is seemed people are pouring their anger and hatred at each other over this simple issue. It is a very simple. Historically, half of Ghanaian population are from Nigeria. Before the influx of the latter-day Nigerians, there were millions of older Nigerians who are living in Ghana and consider that as their homes. When the trend changed, millions of Ghanaians trooped to Nigeria in such of greener pastures. And about 20 years down the line, the trend is changing again. Nigerians are now trooping to Ghana. Have you ask yourselves that why is not Nigeria and Benin, Togo, Sierra Leone, Liberia or any other country in Africa but always Nigeria and Ghana? We have a saying in Ghana that, "In every home there is Mensah there" (Mensah is a name of a person). What it simply means is that there are bad nuts everywhere. But it seemed Nigeria is perceived to be producing most bad nuts in the whole world. Just bear in mind that the conception of 'there is no good Nigerian' is not only in Ghana. But everywhere in the world. The Western media are not helping things since most of the time they set the agenda. Check the recent documentary on Lagos! Ask every one who knows the history of Ghana. The most respected and trusted people during the 17th up to later part of the 20th century were Nigerians. And I'm proud to say that my great grandfather was among these people. Most of the second hand cloth business were run by Nigerians. The aluminium smelting plant, etc. And these people were working hard and legitimately in a very peace and quite environment. But it seemed the present generation began to change the cause. They don't want to work hard but needed a lot of cash which leads to so many fraudulent ways of making money. It was so much so that, the Western world have set up special unit to deal with such crimes. And as I said earlier, the Western media give the tune, and the rest of the world back them with the chorus. Change must come, but within us! There should be an conscious effort to RE-BRAND Nigeria. And this will come from you! I always praise the Nigeria Ambassador in Ghana for that effort of re-branding Nigeria. I wish it will become a national policy. Ghana has her own problems, but compare to Nigeria, ours problem is nothing! And you know why? Nigeria is big in all aspect of 'biggness' and he is the Big Brother! So come on Nija, take up your mantle and re-claim your place in the world! |
@poster As a Ghanaian, I may not try to comment on it. But I think I should. I agree with those who advice that you should first try and make inquiries and take one or two trips. The most important thing is making CONTACTS. And the truth is, it is not going to be easy living outside your home. It is the same everywhere, be it Ghana or Afghanistan. There are Ghanaians who are making it in Nigeria, (my brother is still in Jos) and vice versa. So it is how you are able to leap yourself that allows you to make it wherever you will be. I however disagree with the assertion that Ghanaians are generally hostile towards Nigerians. As in any human institutions, there are some bad nuts. But I believe Nigerians find themselves in certain hostile environments due to some doings by some their country men. So it is up to the good ones to prove that Nigerians are not what some people perceived them to be in terms of bad habits. I love the initiative taken by the Nigerian Ambassador in Ghana to sensitise Nigerians in Ghana on the need to have good names for themselves. Come to a place called Zongo Lane in Accra. About 75% of those repairing electronics are Nigerians and many other places. I love nija, otherwise I would not be here. |
@Kakafo I believe Captain has said it all. I don't think it is Hispasat. If you can post the Tps, |
@tox Good news tox and well done. Since it is about Nigeria and other Anglophone countries I believe they may extend their filming to Ghana. So do not forget us when they are about to come to Accra. That is also my two cents observation oo! |
@enitan For the sake of trademark, if you are not autorised to produce something and you produce it using the same brand name, I think it is fake. I don't think clone PCs have the same name as the brand one. I could be wrong though |
Strangely I cannot get Infinity |
@George Tnx for clarifying the issue on Tox. Yeah, dong-qui-zot! lol |
@Tox Get your money back. If you need to get a lawyer, do that. There are things worth fighting for. It is not about the money, it is about your right |
@Mikyhans We will be checking on some project on Nilesat at Tema maybe over the weekend. If we get it, we will be able to confirm that Nilesat is gettable here. Then we can talk about your location. But I believe it is possible. |
mickyhans:What is your location in GH? |
I think we jumped to conclusion quickly on Tonero's assertion on TV Malawi on NSS7 Ku. May they just moved there. But to spare us the blindscan, can Tonero just drop the Tp so we can give it a try? |
alancruise:All free |
Sampdoria Vs AC Milan on MutiTV @ 1.00pm |
esuo2:Try A&C Shopping Arcade at East Legon. Regarding SABC. it is on at 62 Deg East on 3992 V 2900 (take note that the polarisation is dependable on our LNB) I believed you called me and asked about Paksat. kindly check www.lyngsat.com |
Ameboperoo:I fully support your motion. In addition to that if we could also add the tracking TPs for easier access. |
@esuo2 No sweat. You can reach me on 0241 992266 |
@seunoluomo It will help if you could tell us the size of your jack. It is possible the limit is around NSS7 so the dish goes down from that side and will only go up with an a push. With the trackable TPs you requested. You have to know which beam is receivable in your area. I can see that you have listed some satellites which will be impossible to get in Africa. eg. Turksat. |
I agree with pofolo for the use of the childboard. The issue of Astra 2B is rising up again. Please check before you post your question. |
Is it possible to add the receivable birds in Africa and their tracking transponders here too? |
Good stuff there at the backyard |
esuo2:To get the best out of that bird you need at most 3m dish. I use 2.4m mesh dish, but with quality level as high as 73% the frequency 3927 V 8300 cracks. I can only get it when it gains 1% upwards. And that is around dawn and late evening. But all other frequencies are stable. |
@Poster Cape Coast is the educational and tourist hub of Ghana. As most people advice, your expense will depend on your life style. I however do not agree with those who said Ghanaians are mostly xenophobic. Come and count the number of people selling VCDs around the capital, and you will find out 90% are from Nija. Well, maybe the poster is talking from experience. But, in my neighbourhood, I can say one out of every 5 persons you meet is from Nigeria. We do everything together. Come to think of it, don't you wonder what I'm doing on this forum? One person can always make a difference. So my advice is; come, stay, study, have fun. avoid bad company and get your grades! If you need further assistance, just email me: salamandercat@yahoo.com |
@Enitan The last time I checked, you were a male unless I've been mistaken all along or you just had a s*x change. Your profile shows that you are a female. Am I the confused one? |
Okaakoko:Visit www.lyngsat.com |
@Enitan Well said, but the bad news is by the time the next PEEP comes, he will not be able to read your post. So the vicious circle begins. |
aka tonero:If you don't know the rules, please use the backdoor |
@Tox Good piece there, keep it up! |
@Badaru Tnx for the info |
@Paps1 I have 2.4m mesh and Fuji LNB, but I can't get Badr @ 26. I'm thinking of re-aligning the LNBs and see how it goes. |
@Captainus Tnx, got it. @All W2A is the funniest sat I ever met. With my quality sometime hitting 73% it still does not turn green. I realised that the signal is stable around 5.30am. As at time of sending this post, it is stable at 75% and not cracking. Well, I will see what happens when I move to a different location and come back again. Anyone experiencing the same thing? |
@Captainus Thanks but I did not get it. Kindly use either salamandercat@yahoo.com or mbarko86@gmail.com Thanks once again. |
