I get W3A in Accra. That bird is a bit elusive.  Keep trying, that is the spirit of FTA.

I adopted the name from 1981 movie, The Salamander, featuring Franko Nero, Anthony Quinn, Christopher Lee and a host of others. It is one of my favourite films.

The 12605 is a promo I believe. I wonder if the alternative frequency has began active programming.

Thanks for the info, but I wish you could have followed enitan's example. We normally use a coded message. It is understood.

enitan2002:
@ all, what are d present channels on w3a, is the MBC signal still strong and stable? did anyone also watched the FA cup btw hull and arsenal on mbc? @ ola, nothing never surface regarding the FTB,how madam and my petit sweet angel? its likely i fall over at badaru's place on saturday.
The MBC signal is still strong and stable. No new channels have been added so far. Rather TV Malagasy has joined the fray of vanishing signals. I believe it has to do with the political turmoil in the country. TV Zimbo still shows green but nothing on screen. All the rest are intact, the last time I checked. I missed the Arsenal match.

Good evening all!
am so happy to post my first post in season 3.
I found it very difficult to locate season 3. am having a problem tracking intelsat906 with 1.8meters dish. initially i was having the complete channels but now nothing will come up again. I tried changing the LNBF, but nothing still come up.
Please i want to know what is going wrong. Will appreciate ur supports.
Thanks.
I believe if you could give your exact location, brothers in the house will be able to tell you whether you can get the bird you were chasing or not and advice thereof.

Glad you were able to make some gains. What I believe can also help is make sure that the LNB without di-electric should be a little down the scaler so you can get some leverage from the East line.

My setup is 2.4m mesh motorised and my 'last stop' is Intel 907.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by salamander(m): 11:04am On Mar 15, 2009
I had a good laugh when I read the thread this morning. So this is what I think I will do:

Sathob, I've one 4620 II that has a problem with the power. If you can work on it, then we are in business.

As enitan put it, no dedicated sat hobbyist gives out his box even if old. I still have some analogue boxes around and have not decided what to do with it, hoping that one day it may become useful.

I agree with Ecowas4all about the China products. It has helped us, but some of them are too artificial. Even the guys in Ijebu do better than the Chinese on some of the product. I can stand, Chinese gadgets, but their pharmaceuticals products, I doubt that.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by salamander(m): 4:47pm On Mar 14, 2009
@Ecowas4all and Sathob
I've not tried any of the patches yet. I still use the 4620 series. I wonder if it works with it. The only thing that is fried now is my phone. I need to get away from these 'sha lai pushuwa' phones. The don't work for me. Ecowas4all, I believe your pot belly will be flatten by fixing dishes.

Now that Gracious me has surfaced, where has Satman gone? Or is it still the issue of establishing Satman's gender? We need the ladies for a change.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by salamander(m): 1:48pm On Mar 10, 2009
I think I'll side with Captainus on the issue of the jack. It has to do with the length. So guys, get yourself a 36inch jack.

Too bad. Let's plan and move your dish. And pls make a platform so that 'tall' men like us can stand on and work comfortably.

Maybe the best way to clear your mind about Satman being a woman is to have hear call you. That you can hear her voice an talk FTA
