captainus:I could hazard an answer that there is about 5% improvement of the 69x over the two you mentioned. It is also very sharp in terms of picking up signal. Those using the 69x I need a second opinion on this. |
Hopitinto:If you could state your location and the kind of settings you have, members will be able to help you. adewest:Salam bro, long time indeed. Greetings from GH |
@Spacevice Sorry I could not reply earlier. I received over 100 channels. These are the birds I nailed From the East Intelsal 7/10 @ 68.5 Ku and few C band because I'm using dielectric Intelsat 902 @ 62 C Intelsat 904 @ 64 C Arabsat 2B @ 30 C Astra 2B @ 28.2 Ku Eutelsat W6 @ 21.6 Ku Eutelsat W3A @ 7 Ku Sirius4 @ 4.8 Ku West Intelsat 10-02 @ 1 C Atlantic Bird3 @ 5 Intelsat 901 @ 18 C NSS 7 @ 22 C and Ku Intelsat 905 @24.5 C Intelsat 907 @ 27.5 C and Ku There are some birds like Paksat, Express AM44 and Intelsat 7/10 C which I could get. My setting is 1.8 mesh dish SRT 4669x Receiver Strong C band LNB Fuji LNB for Ku |
Temayo:kindly visit www.lyngsat.com |
captainus:I have 2.4m mesh with Strong LNB for C band and Fuji for Ku. I have SRT 4669 and the signal quality for SABC is 60%. and Citizen is around 59%. You are missing NTV and Cartoon Network because they are Mpeg-4. |
Justtobor:Kindly check back some few posts, someone has posted the new frequency for StarTV and co. Citizen and SABC still working. I wonder if you are talking about the same bird, because I cannot remember AIT and CNN on that bird. I maybe wrong |
@Pito Wow, glad for ur narrow escape! I thank God for your life. |
Any news on Daarsat? |
@JMS Thanks for asking about me. It has been some busy schedules, but I'm always up to date with what is happening here. @Asuquo Hope your dreams come through, we are all waiting! |
@Emeritus That is a feed line. They come and go |
@Blackstar Definitely we will let you know when everything is set |
@Candyman The SRT4910 is the latest model and more expensive than the 4669x. As I said, from the beginning, it all about if you want to spend more. However regarding drop in signal, I believe you have to check your setup. It could be that you have to tweak your lnb a bit. |
@Candyman I believe since you are going to Dubai, it will be a lot easier to check the market there and might be a bit cheaper, just a thought. Depends on how much you want to spend, if you could get the SRT 4910, the better if not settle for the 4669x |
spacevice:Just get ur landlord a Mutitv box for free, lol. Anyway, I was not thinking of you having them. 'We' normally have a place that we do our experiments. Let's see if we can revive our Ghana group so we can set a date for that. Sathob, Ecowas, Captainus, over to you! |
spacevice:I dey oo. Just a bit busy. Have u ever try nailing Badr or Nilesat? If not, then lets put our resources together so we can see how track them down. |
larryenob:You need an mpeg-4 receiver |
Any channel showing Barca match today? |
@Goldenkey Forget it |
Congrats to all of us to making it this far. Please let us all follow the protocol and avoid all the petty distractions that spam the forum Long live FTA! |
@Ecowas Glad to hear from you again. Happy Independence Day to the Giant of Africa |
I'll agree with Pito on the 69x. FTA is becoming hotter and hotter. |
great job pito @all The SRT 4669x is sold at 210GHC here in GH |
@all I don't think the Strong receiver on the Ghanaian market is the SRT 4910. My check reveals that it a kind of customised version SRT 4669x Plus, which does not have multi-media interface. I stand to be corrected, but it is not a fully Mpeg-4 receiver. |

@buderline In netiquette when one writes in caps, it means one is shouting. Unless your post is meant for that. |
I love it here! |
@captainus You mean by the end of October? |
eduzo:You are right eduzo @Captainus When do you expect your Strong mpeg-4? I'm ready to get one if you have enough |
@all An African beam on W2A at 10 Deg E, 3818 R 3443 (Afro Music Channel). Can someone track and confirm to the house please? |
@Borderline I hope you have realised you have flooded the thread. Just stick to the CLICK ONCE AND WAIT directives. I believe it is not deliberate, but just a caution so that you will be careful next time. |
@captainus I dey oo. Just a bit busy. Any news for the Strong mpeg-4 receiver? I've decided to go for that one instead of Multitv box or Daarsat. By the way, a friend told me someone is selling a Daarsat box in Accra for 300GHC. Is that expensive? |
I have read all the post in this section with great interest. I agree in totality with Emeka_gh on the issue of transportation. I believe it is always easier and safer to come with ABC and the allied transport companies. We will love to encourage such interactions. It is only Nigerians that can change the perceptions people have for them. I always admire the effort by the Nigerian ambassador in Ghana in the drive to in that direction. Keep it up good people of Nairaland! |
