Day by day events in this nation make me feel so sad. It's as if we are moving backwards while others are moving forward. People do not just want to do the right things.

I am currently planning a sabbatical leave from this country. Anytime I am coming back, it is to ascend that throne for which I am destined.
Good riddance!

AgricultureRe: Strawberry Farming Crippled In Jos by sam90s(m):
They probably have problem with storage, when harvesting, temperature controlled container must be used or else the heat will cause condensation and that will speed up decomposition which you don't want, once again, government need to assist these farmers with the required skills and funds for that. Market shouldn't be a probkem considering all these fruit juice and yogurt factories we have, not to mention the fancy supermarkets, well, it is well.

Most Nigerians are just too daft as evident in the amount of support given on this thread.

No wonder the country is turrrible, cus the inhabitants will support any and everything as long as it comes from their tribe, out of spite, or an acute state of deftness.

See people saying, "brilliant", "good job fash", blah blah blah. If ones eyes were closed, one would think that on opening them, their eyes wouldn't be able to set gaze on such immense transformation.

Nooooo, this fvcking Nigerians don't have light, queue for fuel for days (often sleeping there to be first in line)... but just speak some grammar to them and they forget that actions speak louder than words.

They forget that being able to drive in to get Petri during your lunch break is sweeter than voices of opera singers.

They forget that being able to come home from work and switch on your air condioner is sweeter than a ballad from a top artist.

They forget, always, always forget.

I just won't to curse you all, but instead, I pray that God gives you and me too, the courage to speak up, to shame these leaders, to not be taken for granted.

Save your accolades when there is nothing to reward but mere words.
Errm...my fellow Nigerian, kindly share what part of Fashola's "grammar" you disagree with with reason(s) of course, it's not enough to say he's saying rubbish, cos anyone can say that, and dismiss as tribal sentiment, any support for his argument, when in fact, it could easily be the other way round.

No, he can't, he is a product of prolonged failed-governance.

The same reason we have all these elementary problems plaguing us.

Yesterday, I read IMF saying something about helping us with 'oversight' of implementation of funds, loans, and policies; yeah, like we're m0rons, can you blame them?

BTW, just in case you're good with summary, you can help 'gbengaizzHe' with his 'Attention Deficit Disorder syndrome'.[/i]
Be easy on the fellow, that remark was meant to make him/her appear cool, nothing more, I know what you must be thinking, "nothing about ignorance is cool," right? Plus, the creators of this new cool can afford it, they've got clever people in place to run th affairs of their country unlike us, we need to stay vigilant at all times, next generation can be cool, if they're lucky.

I can see we are on same page with this

issue,to me the same thing that happened to the dollar against Naira will also happen to the yuan against Naira soon.

Our level of importation has been so high before now and with this development it will aggravate it more, making us more dependent on imported goods which will surely affect our exportation strength.

Our local manufacturers will suffer it more except the govt will restrict some items not to be imported.

I await CBN approach on this,if it will still be the same old way whereby you have the CBN rate and BLACK MARKET rate for dollars, hope same won't be applicable to the yuan.
You make it sound like it's impossible to plan what essential, mostly fabricated, items to import, say what you want, the current team are yet to display any reckless tendency, so they've earned a chance to be allowed to carry out their plan, I say we'll find out soon enough.
China makes a lot tools we need in our farm processing industry, not to mention skills, with their healthy economy and good prospects, they are less likely eat us to the ground, better option in terms of immediate growth, I might be wrong, but I sure hope I'm not.

As much as I dislike saraki, I still see his trial as witch-hunting. Would he be in this situation if he hadn't contested for senate presidency? I doubt it. Buhari should prove this is not witch hunting by prosecuting amechi too....or does buhari or efcc want to tell us they are not aware of amechi's thievery?
You really need to bring up instances where EFCC was petitioned on this 'thievery' of Amechi and fail to do the needful, I don't think PDP will be so nice to ignore such instance, anyway, provide it if you have any.

It's not a switch button you flip to end corruption, it's meant to be a part of a large anticorruption mechanism, criminals operate even in the US, is that a valid reason not to have law enforcement agencies anymore?

Been a member doesn't guarantee that there will be no corruption as I can see that Kenya for example is a member of both the OGP and PIF and still they rank above us in the corruption index. So what exactly is the benefit of joining this group?

To be fair, she didn't asked anyone to come home, only to partner in developing the country, you can contribute to that wherever you reside, you don't have to come home, perhaps, the guy's probably used to being implored to come home(which is understandable), for now, returning home from the comfort level of Western Europe and the US is more like a sacrifice, not a job application where you need to access the prospect available for you from a prospective employer, I guess she should have acted like a 'politician', but then she couldn't help it, I'm sure would've have made a similar response if it was me as well.

We're still using NOI template, when did Kemi come up with any policy?
We all know the padded corruption laden first budget under Kemi.
Watch as Kemi is demoted back to being a state finance commissioner, she took a job above her skill level.
Numbers don't lie my friend, anyway, but that was a nice try.
