What a sad story. I'm happy the victim got her justice (which I doubt was done in Nigeria).
Would a person of Okpara's stature be tried and convicted for a crime like this in our country?

The prob is complex. Apart frm d competence of d doc, availability of facilities is also worth looking into. Had a similar story, my wife was wrongly diagnose for over 6mnths in naija until she visited another AFRICAN country. Thank God she's fit now.

So Dammy, lets go mathematical. what chances are there for a lady finding a fellow Redeemite who is well paid and still single. The present church must also start focusing on economic empowerment rather setting strict rules.

Secondly, is there any lady or guy on Nairaland challenging the fact that a GUY must have a job before marrying ? That is the dumbest thing i have ever heard in recent times. No wonder marriages crash per second and spouse kill one another, when the basic things are not followed.

Even the bible says that a man who does not work deserves no food. Not to talk of marriage.

All those launching unnecessary attacks should think. That you hate a man does not mean he is wrong and must be hated at all times.

I think d msg of nt lookin outside RCCG is directed @ d men. However, I would av preffered ways of helping jobless (but capable) men to get married.
Nigeria is loosing young men to migration everyday. Also economic climate is nt encouraging ones @ home.

We know dt whites generally grow much faster/bigger than blacks. But I wouldnt be happy if naija is being rep by players above 20yrs. Winning age grade competitions is nt by force. Im wary of cheats.

First, I must say a big thank you to Shymexx. You said it all. Nigerians are just too dull for my liking sometimes. These youths are one of d most disoriented set have seen, they hardly understand d roles of a responsible govt. Reason they are becoming a burden to many countries around d world that seemingly take care of their own citizens. Youths protest for jobs in Spain, masses protest in SA for failure to provide 'service delivery' e.g toilets (yes toilets). And these are countries that are FAR better than Nigeria (in terms of standard of living). Yet we see protests on religious sentiments in Nigeria. WHEN WILL NIGERIANS REALISE WE ARE UNDER AN OPPRESSION?
Any protest against our irresponsible govt got my 100% backing.

Speaking is more difficult. No time to correct your mistakes once they are made. I sometimes blunder when am over-excited. I guess this happens more to we Yorubas that enjoy communicating in our Language, just like the Afrikanners (whites) of SA.

Even countries like USA, Germany, Britian labelled as christian countries allow you muslim build mosque and practice your religion freely in their countries. And are even the largest aid donor to some muslim nations, why cant islamic nations tolerate other religions in their countries and worse still why attack d interests of these donor countries at d slightest provocation by one faceless individual?
