One thing I noticed in Igbos is dt dy do things PASSIONATELY (good or bad). So we shd hold our govt & cultural elders to task in makin sure this ENERGY is channelled positively. Stop blaming NL.

For those feeling sad abt dis news frm ur region. Nigerians living abroad feel same way too. Pls Igbos here shd nt see dis trend as anti-Igbo, cause it is d PLAIN TRUTH of tins happening outside Nigeria. However we got many diligent Igbos too.

The tolerance witnessed today is a result of core values established in Yorubaland b4 d 2 main religions. Christianity & Islam only came 2 complement d values pple already had. Unlike other regions where d religions met no religious/moral value systems.

Igbos on NL almost made me to conclude there is a 'dumb gene' in all Igbos. But I know better cos my pastor is Igbo, and what an awesome man he is.

FYI, in 2010 the govt of SA recruited some foreign nationals as interpreters at their various courts. Guess what? The Igbo interpreters were overworked due high number of criminals they were handling. The Yoruba interpreters worked intermitently, while the Hausa ones were just collecting salaries without working at all. Again, my friend and I were once accousted by some white policemen in a white neighbourhood. After we presented our IDs, those cops became friendly and asked us if we were Igbos and that are they (Igbos)the Nigerian tribe selling drugs in SA. We politely revealed we were Yorubas and also told them its difficult fasely link drugs to Igbos (a lie). For the Igbos on NL screaming about image, pls first inquire from your relatives the activities of Igbos in SA before condemning the media for bringing those stories to limelight. We know that Yoruba specialise in fraud and forgery and the extremism is an Hausa problem. Bottomline: ALL TRIBES are invovled in bringing shame to Nigeria, so let all condemn criminality!

Now you guys are sounding very irritating. Who doesnt know that crime has no tribe or race. Igbos still enjoy the largest positive focus on NL. In the past week I have read many new developments coming from that region (Anambra, Aba etc) here on nairaland. Abi, the guy that made the highest score at OAU and d young chap breaking academic records at USA were not reported and praised here on NL? The decision of d mods & owner of this site to ignore you guys is commendable. Just shows they are way more intelligent than you guys. These guys are definately suffering from something. Abi crime should no longer be reported?

Is Nigeria d only country with natural resources? Yet we dont hear of such crazy govt interventions in countries far richer than us. I believe there are beta approaches to N/Delta than bribing mere criminals.

Too much insanity in Nigeria. Paying militants so they cld use d money to buy more arms. Will youths be encourage to study & work hard in dt region?
