I accord my in-laws almost the same respect I give to my parents. My wife can't afford to do less.

As regards marriage, anyone enjoying his or her marriage AFTER ten years of being married is blessed. If otherwise, do your best not to also miss heaven; else, that will be moving from hell to another hell.

So we posted a job advert and over four hundred applied. Three were selected for interview and only one appeared.

Salary is about 150k for a start.

So this applicant came and did well in both oral and written interview but she was not given the job because of this:

She was given a paper to apply for the job. Excellent write up though but she messed up the whole paper with cancellation and instead of asking for a fresh paper to start over again; she even went ahead and handed over it like that to my boss.

My boss concluded that she was an untidy and scatty fellow.

And that was all.

Please take note of this and try not to make this mistake.

Did my NYSC in Tsafe, when the state was safe. Nice place and people. Welcomed Corp members with open arms, then. How time flies and people change.

Mine was in Zurmi. I had similar experience, nice and welcoming people.

I really enjoyed my service year and almost contemplated staying behind. Some of my colleagues got jobs and remained in State after our service.

I feel bad each time I read what has become of Zamfara State.

It's a mistake to come out from the University with a certificate and no sellable skill.
Most of us made that mistake, our children must not repeat it.

It took me 5 years after NYSC to get a 'good' job. My saving grace was that I took a 25k job, that opened the way for a 50k (plus commission) job, which in turn opened the way to where I am today.

By the grace of God, none of my children will be doing University education alone; except you are reading medicine or nursing.
While in the University, the child must be in a skill acquisition program along with the tertiary education.

Enter the street and get your hands dirty with a legit hustle. If it's learning a skill, learn a skill as long as you have a passion for it and it's marketable.

I find it bemusing when a guy becomes agitated and looses his peace over a lady he is yet to pay her bride price. Except there's a possible threat to life, such dissipation of energy is a complete waste.

Planning to attack someone in your home because of a yet-to-be wife is a very foolish move. Things can go horribly wrong. If there's a homicide and the lady is not the victim or the culprit, the lady will move on to another guy, probably a bolt or an Uber driver.

Matters of love are driven largely by emotions. But to thrive in love, a man must also use his head.
