The way we are dragging Seun and nl as regards innovation (two threads recently on this matter), na Panadol extra we dey take for another man headache ...! Granted, nl needs to upgrade but the way we are taking it here, it's almost looking like 'bad belle' or envy for Seun/nl. I suggest that members that can implement this much talked about upgrading, should look for how to approach Seun in a more business like manner and discuss with him. Alternatively, somebody should give us a better alternative to nl and let's see how it goes. The truth is that nl has no competitor in this country, so nl is king for now. No king, except God, reigns forever. So it won't be something new if tomorrow nl looses it's present market value. My 2cents! |
mainman7:...no be everything wen hunter see for bush em dey talk... However, to be on a safe side: shun greed and be wary of individuals with sudden and unverifiable source of wealth. He that has ear to hear, let him hear! |
SweetDipBenny:I doubted the existence of yahoo plus (money rituals) until recently. Series of incidents that happened in and around my area give credence to it's existence. My advice: Be wary of anyone with unverifiable source of income. |
Gerrard59:May the good Lord in His infinite mercies grant us good health and security. And yes, by 2031, I will still be here to hear from you. |
tensazangetsu20:Nigeria may not be doing well as one would want, but you need to reduce the frequency and volume with which you pronounce doom and gloom on the country of your birth. Anywhere you are going outside this country is definitely not heaven! So while you plan your exit, take a break from your dooms day predictions. You have my best wishes. |
Seun:It will be be nice to tell us why you are on a different path as regards the faith. Honestly, I was shocked when I joined the zoom meeting to hear your mother praying and you Daddy quoting scriptures, while you profess to be an atheist here. Do they know your stand? Kudos to your parents! By the grace of God, we will also raise accomplished children like they did. They have my highest respect and do extend my regards to them. Shalom! |
Quinex2:Seun don put hand for tortoise anus... ![]() I go join this monthly marriage seminar. The day dey go talk about 'marriage and raising your children to walk in your footsteps', that day, the meeting go catch fire! Em go tell us whose step em dey follow. |
Seun:Seun, so your papa and mama na born again Christian, you come dey form woke atheist for here.... No problem, I go table your case for this zoom seminar on sex abi money in marriage. |
WaffenSS:Are grants available for every area of research? Are available grants enough for every lecturer that would need it? What happens to those who fail to secure one? For those able to secure a grant, is there adequate infrastructure to conduct their research to a fruitful end? I visited the faculty of science in one of the Federal Universities, about two years ago, to see a lecturer friend. During work hours, there was no power in the faculty, not even from a generator! How will lecturers in that faculty carry out their research without electricity. The said friend eventually left for South Africa to complete his PhD. My point is that the working condition of our university teachers greatly hinders their performance and output. |
WaffenSS:With little or no incentive for performance, do you want them to perform magic? Research, publications, discoveries etc, all these require money and good infrastructure. The salary is barely enough for the lecturers to take good care of themselves and their families. How would one think well when he is hungry and has unpaid bills all around. If the salary stated in the article is what lecturers are actually paid, then the pay is grossly inadequate! |
Good one! Please I'd like to know if the Huion H430p active area is larger than that for Huion H420. Also, it will be nice if you can do a price comparison. I'm interested in getting Huion H420 but I'm concerned that the small active area will be an issue. I will appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks. |
HalpyBee:When you add house rent, fuelling for generator/car and miscellaneous expenses, the salary is gone, and the young man may even be in deficit. The truth is that the couple must manage the 50k for food or they look for additional source of income. |
libertyfather:If the op was replying the verbal and emotional abuse with physical abuse, the equation would have been balanced and we would be having a different narration. For me, verbal and emotional abuse is as bad as physical abuse. But because physical abuse, most times, have easily verifiable evidence more than verbal/emotional abuse, the society tend to frown more at the former while making excuses for the later. While I am reluctant to subscribe divorce as a solution to any marital problem, I strongly condemn both physical and verbal abuse in marriage. Nobody, husband or wife, should be repeatedly subjected to these kind of abuses in a marriage. I pray every day to God, that there will never be an occasion that will make me hit my wife or abuse her in any way. My wife is also sufficiently aware, that any form of verbal or emotional abuse from her, will have consequences. On a general note, I think the limits of what is allowed in a marriage relationship is set during courtship and in the first 3 to 5 years of marriage. But unfortunately, many young men and women, are carried away by 'romantic hollywood/bollywood's fantasy movies' that they become detached from the realities of marriage and the hard work that is needed for it to succeed. For the op, never you resort to physical assault neither should you take the abuse any further. Seek for outside help from trusted family members and friends. Take legitimate steps to keep your sanity intact- take the easy way if possible or the hard way if necessary. |
Aksnoopy:He really needs to work on that department, else he will be spending more time fighting for his woman than loving her. I don't know much about the lady's history on nl, but the guy sure has some catching up to do. All the same, I wish them all the best. |
JesseJo:I feel for that man. He always struggle to assert his leadership in that church, as unruly members will not hesitate to undermine his authority. Except the woman does not believe in her husband's calling, she needs join him in attending the same congregation. |
Op, your brother is dancing to the sweet melody of "surugede". Delay no further to save him! If need be, bring in all your family members to talk sense into him. He will not be happy with you for revealing his escapades, but years to come, he will look back and thank you for saving his life. |
henrybomb:...e no need fuel, e no need oil, e no need water but you no go fit sleep on top. That's why is always good to avoid wahala... ![]() |
My cup of tea is this: make sure you take good care of your parents while they are still alive. Not neglecting your parents and later spend millions for their burial just to show off and impress people. |
CzarChris:No where in Urhobo land is bride price up to 150k. The story na fake.... |
Mckeni007:Please, add Microbiology to this list. Thanks. |
Op, you seem to be everywhere on nl looking for this said lady and branding her a fraudster. But you have failed to explain how exactly 'she' defrauded you or what kind of deal you had with her. Sorry for any loss you may have suffered, but it's appropriate you tell us what transpired that made her a fraudster. |
Congratulations!!! Wishing you a blissful married life. |
AFONAMARO:So on point! Nobody is entitled to anything in a 'boyfriend-girlfriend' relationship. Not sex! Not money! When the chips are down, most times, girlfriend or boyfriend will disappear. But your mother and sisters will remain your mother and sisters. Op, the guy is responsible only to his wife not girlfriend. The holy book instructs: 'husbands love your wife not girlfriend'. Again, be careful how you meddle in that relationship, so that you will not be accused of being a relationship breaker tomorrow. ... las las both those wen they dash girlfriends money like father Christmas and those wen dem say stingy, everyone go dey alright.... |
Public proposal can lead to public disgrace! Maybe I belong to the old school. I can't remember doing any kind of proposal. Just told my babe, now my wife, that I wanted to come with my family members to see her parents. That was all! Every mallam with em kettle... |
At times, one wonders why those who have chosen not to believe in God, hate those who have also decided to exercise their right of choice by believing in God. .... I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. John 17:14 |
Happy Birthday Bro! |
Reucy:Quite awhile you visited this forum last. I trust you are doing great. My regards! |
No two marriages are the same. Every mallam to his kettle. If both are genuinely happy in the marriage, we should be happy for them. My only concern is that they are bringing too many information (which ought to be private) about their marriage into the public domain. These information could become ammunition in the hands of 'present and future enemies' should the marriage face turbulence at any time. Deep inside me, I still have this belief that a man who regularly washes his wife's undies, not that the wife is indisposed, has been subdued in one way or the other, by either the wife or circumstances of life. I may be wrong though. |
I don't wear mine. Reason: No felt need. |
What concerns marriage with having played this game? Marriage is good but let's take it easy with the hyping. |
Sufferingboy:Not holding fort for him though, but I trust he will. Just last two weeks, I came across a laudable project General Irabor did in Ika South LGA. He executed that project about 7 years ago. |
. Seun, accept Jesus into your life before it's too late.
