I am against a Southern sovereignty. SS has lost its political virginity and tasted power and they now act and behave typical of a newly dis-virgined young woman in her new found power over men; deliriously intoxicated and mischievious. The only way West should form any merger and cohabit in Southern nationality is if SE will regain its authority and power over SS and there exist just West and East.

It is almost equally as hard for SE to wrap SE under its wing of domination as it once did, but I should not put it past you to try. So my response to Eze was a message that should you succeed in achieving such a unachievable feat, then you have earned Yoruba respect and we will be glad to form a union with you and be countrymen with you in a common-front Southern sovereignty.

West has endured many unnecessary provocations from East and fortunately by act of providence they all backfired and became liabilities in your own backyard. It is naive for us to hope on providence always coming to our aid, we must anticipate and reject all moves and calls for closeness. In carving out Midwest from West the reason Igbos gave was that Edo elders wanted their ties to West severed. Well Edo state and Delta state are the products of Midwestern state of old. Today, Edo is fine and dandy by itself and were Nigeria to divide tomorrow I am sure they would be happy to remain independent and under no one. For Delta, it is a different story. Itsekiri people, whose land extend from border with Ondo to Warri, never in their history deny their Yoruba blood and ethnicity and so they are with us and we are with them and in the division of Nigeria we will bring them with us just as you hope to take Anioma with you.

I vehemently disagree that a joint Southern coalition is needed to defeat the North. Yoruba see North differently than Igbo see North.
Make up your mind buddy. You dont want alliance with the East yet you want them to go fight SS for dominance for the sake of the same alliance. Who do you think you're decieving? You go on claiming East sliced West into two, really? You ignored that Awo, Zik, And Bello were all in the same political brinkmanship to slice eachother's region into bits. Dont take my word for it just look it up. They were all engaged in slicing and dicing so dont think this your endless hollow cyber revisionism is convincing anybody.

You want your fellow country man to go square off with his brother so you can be friends with him - its really shameful and sickening. If the prerequisite for your alliance is that I shed my brother's blood or go on expansion binge - then shove it. If your life is not better than mine, you're not healthier, richer, more educated, wiser, its not like you've been to the moon, or that you're more technologically advanced, etc - why on earth should I break a sweat to seek for your approval or alliance?

Let me put it this way - this current Nigeria we're all witnessing is fine and needs no tampering. If BH likes they can blow "ia" out of "Nigeria" - I'll still be loving it. You want to cut off your nose to spite your face? - by all means do that. We all know where the hotspots are so if you're caught in the crossfire - you're out of luck, I'm sorry.

Its obvious some people are intentionally blind and patently suicidal so why bother to wait for them. To those who're still very much into saving the lives of their children in this jungle, time to start covert organizations/meetings is now 'cause, like I said, some people wont change and there's no need waiting for them or thinking they'll come.

Some people come here (political section) to grammatically razmataz and bamboozle unsuspecting minds, others come to either socialize or, at the very least, chip in what they think can make a difference. In the end we're all going to use that which we possess to wriggle out of whatever noose our current reality has around our necks. To that end I say - if you're calm, informed, genuine, discrete, unhappy with the state of things, secular, democratic, believe in live and let live, have respect for all ethnic/religious groups in Nigeria, and most importantly, ready to shake off the old guard/shackle and usher in a true nation with equality and justice for all - there's always a group of like minds waiting to work with you, just look around. Dont let big mouths deter, discourage, and hoodwink you with hollow political masterplan.
The creation of Rivers and Cross River States in 1967 was effective in partially diluting power and diminishing a blanket Ndigbo authority over the entire Eastern region but that authority recovered after the war, though the power had died.

From 1967 onward the country had abandoned regional governments and adopted States of the Federation. As at 1991, the former Eastern region had Anambra, Imo, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Rivers satates. Between 1991 and 1996 two more states, Anambra and Abia, were created out of Enugu and Imo. In 1996 Ebonyi was created and Bayelsa was added. Up until the creation of the 6 geo-political zones in 1999, the Easterners, in the national conscience, were were made up of Igbos, Ibibios, Kalabaris, Anangs, Efiks, Ijaws and Ogonis and other subgroups in the area.

On the question of whether Port Harcourt was in the East or not, everybody knew where it was. The politics of zoning changed that.

If you look on the geopolitical map today it is evident to see that whatever remote authority Ndigbo previously had in its region is completely eroded and handed to another ethnic group. From a geo-economic standpoint, Igboland is in same position of dependency that the North is in, or worse.

More to come. . . See geo map attachment below.
This is what you think of Igbos, SS, Hausas, etc. Now, have you asked us what we think of ourselves? And while you're at it dont fail to also ask us what we think of you. Do that please.

musiwa1: Sam_Ikenna, who created the south south. Asari dokubo. you make me laugh. On people land..

Why do you think Ojukwu did not claim delta state as biafra.

Itsekiri land is nearly half of delta state.

that is Itseriki.. is that not Yoruba. The correct word for God in Yorubaland is Orise. Not Oluwa. it was during the written of the bible , that I think Bishop ajayi crowther was the one who change the word God from Orise to Oluwa. If you look at Older Yoruba people, their names are Orisebunmi etc. Nobody was bearing Oluwabunmi or Oluwakemi.. All yorubas use to bear Orisebunmi, Orisewale, Orisedayo, Oriseyomi etc.. Nobody bear Oluwa anything. It is christain who change it from Orise to Oluwa..

By sleeping dog I mean your bolded. Every man has the right to determine his destiny so to that end I say - let people in SS choose, exist, allign, relate etc, as they deem fit. The survival of SE or SW does not and will never hinge on SS.

Its like you're sending SE on land-grab warfare. Even if that were to be the case, dont you think SW should also initiate their own expansion into Edo and Delta? My brother, like I said earlier - let the sleeping dog enjoy her sleep. SS and SE will always be friends, brothers, and neighbors just as, I hope I'm not wrong, SW will always be Friends with SS/SE.

We dont need to regain anything 'cause we're already whole. If only you looked carefully you would've noticed our long, arduous, and often - lonely walk to strength, power, wealth, destiny and lastly, re-establishment of a 40 year broken bond with our friends and brothers in the SS. We did this from the ashes of a bitter civil war that hadly left a tree standing in the Eastern heartland.

We're wise and magnanimous enough to let SS be without seeking for any expansion of any kind. If its natural that we'll come together under the banner of old East then so be it, but if not - we're still just fine. This is Nigeria, everyone is wiser and "sophisticated" now to bail the cat - meaning - we'll all (the south) defeat our enemy together and live or we'll play dead and let him sodomize us as many times as satisfy his dark desires.
PoliticsRe: The True Face Of Boko Haram (christians, Igbos ,CIA ,government ,PDP,God or Oil) by SamIkenna: 6:41pm On Jun 21, 2012
RoadStar: There's is something a bit mysterious about Islamic sect Boko Haram

Many leaders is the North (eg Buhari, el-rufai) think that Boko Haram was funded by GEJs government to destabilise and incite disunity in the north by recruiting mainly Igbo foot-soldiers/suicide bombers.
These Igbo terrorist
go about blowing up churches and then claiming responsibility as BH. shocked shocked

General Azazi thinks it is being masterminded by PDP. undecided undecided

Others like (Sanusi and Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu) think that it is because of too much money in Niger Delta. grin grin

Some say it is the CIA who have an agenda to see Nigeria disintegrated by 2015. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

All these theories went up up in smoke a few days ago when a dying would be terrorist claimed in HAUSA language that he was doing the work of GOD (Allah). cheesy cheesy

The begging question is who is the real Boko Haram , Is it Igbo Christians, CIA, Government or Hausa/Fulani Islamic terrorists in the name of God(Allah), PDP or CPC angry angry
Why in humanity's sake would you single Igbos out in this whole conspiracy conjecture. Of all the "christian" names that conspiracy theorists have proped up along side real Boko Haram members, how many of them are Igbo names? Did Igbo names out-number Berom, Jukun, Igala, Idoma, Yoruba, Ijaw, Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri etc ?

This is starting to look like 1966 again. So GEJ used Igbos but didnt use Ijaw, his own group? What I see is - people trying to bait Igbos into this mess and then abandon them when its showtime. Igbos are not the only christians in Nigeria, in fact about 50% of SW, 60% of MB, and 99% of SS are all christians, so why on earth should we, Igbos, take Boko Haram personal?

Please if this a joke - stop it 'cause it aint funny. You want to find Boko Haram, go to North East and North West. When Osiskankwu was terrorizing Abia state we looked for him in Abia and got him, we didnt look for him in Kano. If you want to find MEND or Asari you go to SS, if you want OPC or Gani you check out SW. In a weird Nigerian/core north fashion, they'll tell you to look for Boko Haram everywhere but in NE and NW. We have no business with Boko haram, so I suggest you guys look for your towel in your bathroom - where you took your bath.
Please make your points more coherently. Is Jos now part of the "Core North" you've been referring to, hitherto? I may have missed the point of you posts, so please restate how this Jos violence relates to BH or today's violence which the current administrtation has been unable or unwilling to tackle.
Read the link I posted and you will find out how and why it happened in jos. The violence that took place in Jos was mainly between Igbo and Hausa, two immigrant communities. I'm not here to pass judgenment on who was right or wrong during that period as there is no solid evidence now to that effect. However, what is true today is that Igbo is not fighting anybody in Jos as we speak but the same cant be said of core northerners.

I used the link to show your brother, nagoma, that his claim that 1945 violence was invented by Igbos is BS. Again, after 1945 another bigger and deadlier one took place around 1953, in the heart of core north in which 35 people lost their lives. Read my brother, read. All I'm saying is that if only you'll remove the veil of denial you'll see that violence has always been a tool used by core northern politicians.

Today, the disease has metastasized to a point where even the lowest class in the north can precipitate mayhem and get away with it. Its easy to lay the whole blame on GEJ without taking into account the chronology of religous and political violence in the north. Look, I still believe GEJ should try his best to halt this madness, but that does not mean the nucleus will be gone or destroyed by him - impossible. THE FINAL NAIL ON BOKO HARAM MUST COME FROM THEIR KINSMEN.
This excuse that the natives are providing safe haven for the perpetrators of violence is not good enough. The USA who is more than willing to share the methods used to turn natives in Iraq against Al Quaeda. Why is this president unable to use all the resources at his disposal to protect Nigerians? What happened to all the BH leaders who have been arrested to date, why are we not hearing anything about them? Where is kabiru Sokoto and why is he not on trial? Where are the BH leaders who were supposed to be named by GEJ??
Most of what you wrote here is true. Even though I take exception to the first sentence, I still think all of the post should be left intact, so I'll gbam it. This area is where GEJ screwed up big time. As the president I expect him to put some balls on a vise-grip.

If you are referring to the entity called "Slave Coast" by the invaders, then you may have a point.
Anyway, the point is to show that i wasn't goofing when i said 1945 was when we witnessed the first documented violence in Nigeria (ethnic violence, not full scale war). There is an easy way to know if this news is true or false, this is the way:

Drive to Bornu, meet a Boko Haram member, tell him you're a christian, and finally ask him if its true that he wants you to convert to islam. If you make it back alive then the story is false, if you get beheaded on youtube video - you'll do the math in hell.

If you ask me, I'll advise you to sit your black behind down in your house and quit denying the obvious! What is wrong with some of us? do you mistake Boko Haram for Firefighters?

nagoma: I am not trying to shorten your long post but I want to address the 1945 part which never happened. It is an invention of Igbo apologists to marr the actual fact that major communal killings (except for the shagamu ibadan ,lagos killing of Northerners in 1963)in Nigeria started after and as a direct result of the first bloodiest military coup in Nigeria staged by Igbo majors who went on ethnic cleansing murdering all senior non Igbo politicians and non Igbo Military officers. The invention of 1945 is to blurr that milestone in history and backdate killings in the North. We all know this. Why dont you give us the detailed authentic report of 1945 , if it ever existed? That was the time of the conclusion of the second world war in which nigerian soldiers participated.Everything in that period is recorded. Give me a reference in the outlook Newspaper or the West African pilot which was published in Enugu at that time. The truth is , you yourself know that the religious Boko Haram as a relatively small may be 50000 people (including their families) and not the whole muslim North. But it fits the agenda of hatred of Muslims and hatred of the North to include all the 50 million or so northern muslims.Excluding them as was done in Maitasine riot would today not serve the southern agenda of demonization. And you know it.
Here it is, you challanged me to back up my claim of the first documented violence in Nigeria that occurred in 1945, well now you have it.

This is the link: http://www.dfid.gov.uk/r4d/PDF/Outputs/Inequality/wp6.pdf

It is on page 16-17. And while you're at it, please do google "Northern Nigeria" and see what comes up your browser. I'll hope this is your moment of truth after-which you'll stop blaming others for the prevalent violence in the north.

nagoma: Now that your true colors are showing;
My suggestion is that all should forget about SNC and concentrate on dividing the country . That is a job that GEJ can supervise so that he can get something in his CV, the |President who divided Nigeria. . There is no way we can continue in the same country with you guys. It must be a peaceful separation . The 10 million ibos now enjoying the vast lands of the north must be received intact by their tiny enclave. We must not allow any of these people back. Forget about oil, think of the future world. We must make peace within the north and make kidnapping, 419 and drug trafficking punishable by hanging in order to discourage the heathens from infiltrating. It is not oil that makes a nation great but rule of law and steady level headed wel planned programs. North for NORTHERNERS and south for SOUTHERNERS.
Man! you're something else. Well, if my true color, like you put it, makes you sit up then its fine by me. I guess the only way you'll like to have me in the same nation as you is if I play dead and keep burying the lifeless bodies of my roasted brothers and sisters whose only crime is that they went to church on sunday. Yes, my region may be a tiny enclave, but if you ask those people bombed in Madalla church, I'm sure they would prefer living in a tiny enclave to dying in a "ginomous" empire. Wake up, the truth hurts but it sure'll set you free. Sit up brother or be gone, enough of the dead bodies already.

Besides, I didnt know Igbos were upto 10 million in the north. I guess with the number + the remaining Igbos in the East, it sure looks like Igbo population is higher than what you guys give us credit for. Methink you twist the figure to serve your purpose. When its time for cake sharing, Igbo will become 7 million but when its time to buy cake we suddenly become 50 million. Bro, make up your mind.

The northern political class has failed.
I saw reprisal one time in Aba, bro, it didnt look good. There's no need initiating our little youths into this ignoble and inhuman slippery slope. We dont have to take their innocence away like the Nigerian state did to us. What we need now is to solve this madness once and for all. Call for SNC or show core north the way out, reprisal and counter reprisal is a bridge to nowhere.

Cant there be a kind of contact to friendly countries who have suffered and overcame terrorism to show us the strategic plans needed to be instituted in order to effectively bring an end to this problems? It is becoming unbearable on a daily basis.
We dont need anyone to tell us how to overcome our current troubles. The solution is there for all to see and, most importantly, it doesnt require breaking a miligram of sweat.

The soultions are:
1) Call for SNC,
2) or have the West, East, and MB unequivocally tell the core north to sit up or be gone.

I respect other citizens and legal way life. The least I expect from an elected President is to ensure my security. I cant be a policeman or an SS officer or a soldier because I dont have such training. I don't expect soldiers , SS officers or policemen to come and teach chemistry in my school. That is what a nation is , shared responsibilities. The President is not doing his share = Period.
I have no reason to doubt your sincerity. What you're doing is great and if only many are doing half as much as you're doing then there's hope. On the flip side, I dont know how good GEJ is doing his own job, I guess we should ask him to brief us. But what I do know though is that no matter how great or bad he is at his job, the final nail on the coffin of Boko Haram must come from Core north. This disease we see in the form of violence has been mutating for about 67 years. Think about it, if you're infected with a killer bacteria and have remained so for 67 years you know you're going to need a prolonged authentic anti-biotic treatment - "Shot-time" treament wont do the magic.

Nigeria has been sick with unwarranted violence from North East and North West for as long as any of us can remember, so curing it will require a prolonged and painstaking therapy. I completely agree that GEJ or any president for that matter must be part of the solution, however, I would be lying to myself if I absloved core north of an even greater responsibilty. Core north has both moral and eternal duty to see to the end of this senselessness because when the chips are finally down its their homeland thats gonna be destroyed. Our people say that when a corpse starts oozing out offensive odour, it becomes the job of the kinsman to carry it. Boko Haram has become the greatest bringer of death up north so its time for the kisnmen to hunt them down like roaches, no ifs or buts, no more grass-root support, and no more religious sentiment. Point them out to the police and military, better still, create vigillantes that will ally with the army and pay all those extremists visit in the midnight.

nagoma: @Sam ikenna & others.
Every country has the law and security apparatus to curve criminal activity and bring criminals to face justice. The bombings are criminal activities and murder is the worst crime in our legal system . Who commits crime , whether he is a Muslim , a Christian or atheist is immaterial , a seriuos capable and effective government will bring him to book and show clear examples on how the government intends to protect the lives of citizens. When you have a weakling as a president , you are doomed as a country. To say that you will not blame the President s mare hypocrisy. Other serious countries will not only blame the president but actually take him to court for the killings or at least relieve him of the burden of presidency, which you said is beyond him. When you have crude oil under your raffia huts , that's good fortune but it may not automatically endow you with the wisdom of leadership of a country of 150 million people. Your president is daft and the country is eroding and dissolving into anarchy under his very nose and all you do is the archaic rantings of bigotry and religion. This is a question of criminality and rule of law. Keeping law and order is what is first for nations to be. Tell your Jona.
What do you want me to tell you? Yes I believe GEJ should provide us with security. He's the commander in chief, therefore the bulk stops at his table. But do I think any of these bombings is caused by GEJ's weakness? - hell no, this violence has been with us even before GEJ was born, we just gloss over it like we always do whenever core north gets out of line.

Let the truth be told. We all have been punks to core north, we've never pushed them around like they do to all of us and that's been our greatest undoing. so, to that extent I say - quit blaming GEJ for the violent actions of core north. We're all Nigerians, we're all in the same poo, we all share similar faith, in fact about half of SW is of islamic faith so why are we not seeing bombs from SW? Core north will always hide under one excuse or the other to explain why they do what they do, but then you ask - who are they doing all these to? is it not us? innocent people?

If GEJ was the problem why is SW not bombing Nigerians? why is MB not bombing Nigerians too? What about all those years the north held on to power and even killed MKO, a man Nigerians gave their mandate, did SW set off bombs? did the south set off bombs? was it not only protest that took place? Common people! what do you think we're - daft? Dont let our calmness in the face of unwarranted aggression fool you, my core northern brothers, 'cause we know the truth and one day we'll confront it head-on.

Since you called me out I guess I should ask you this - who was the president of Nigeria in 1945, was it GEJ? was it even a black man? did we even have a president? wasn't queen Eliza of Britain our head of state? did the headship of queen Eliza stop the violence in the north in 1945?

Now, take a trip down memory lane and tell me how many lives Nigerians have lost in the hand of core northern people from 1945 thru 2012 and explain to us why we should believe that this violence in the north is caused by an outsider. My brother, let the truth set you free - this bombing is core north's MO and any "infidel" who thinks he has the answers can go ahead and try. As for me, I'm tired of this 67 year old disease, its time for North East and North west to stop this madness and join the rest of us in building a secular and free nation or be cut loose.

I want Nigeria to work and I want to be part of it, but at the same time I'm not blind to realities on ground. The only reason I advocate for a break-up is - this constant maiming that seems to defy every measure.

I'm a human being with heart. Each time I hear - this got bombed, that got bombed, my heart sinks deeper and deeper because I know that lives, dreams, and hopes have been cut short. I'm not a mad one Nigerianist that believes that it doesnt matter how many lives lost, Nigeria must remain one. I want Nigeria to survive, but it must survive without taking the blood of her people. If it insists on taking the the lives of those it purports to protect then we must kill it.

I want to save lives, I have no interest in taking them unlike most "over patriotic one Nigerianists."

Bosuntop: This is boko haram stuff is purely religious fight from the northerners.if you remember they have tried to make some of nigeria northern state a sharia state which didnt work for them.i dont think this suicide bombers are nigerians, they re imported to the country by this evil religioius fanatics. They have a support from this islam terrorist group to achieve there aim.i think a repraisal attacks will work since nothing is working now.if they attack 1 church attck 50 mosques they will think twice before doing anything..
Look, there is a problem with reprisals, it solves nothing. Its just another knee-jerk emotional reaction that leaves the nation more and more wounded. There are many morsques in SW, what do you think'll happen if we go down the road of burning and counter burning? I think we can see some changes if West, East, and MB unequivocally call North East and North West to order. If North West and North East realizes they're alone with no regional friends in Nigeria, they'll sit up. Core north can kill Boko Haram in one week- take that to the bank. If they know the rest of Nigeria is ready for any kind of showdown, this nonsense will cease immediately. Our problem is that West, East, and MB are still dancing around this murderous fire like men with no balls. The day we show some balls is the day we'll see some changes.

odumchi: I remember the days when we heard about bombings, massacres, and terrorism in distant and strange countries. We never expected such things to come near us and we had this comforting sense of security.

2012. Now look at us...
Its a shame brother, those days now belong to history books.
SE candidates need to fight to win the nomination of their parties when its time for the South. Unfortunately, Ebele Azikwe Jonathan may have taken your spot for now.

Personally, I could support a Igbo candidate without reservations, provided he/she is sophisticated enough to rise to the top position within his party.
I like you. I see you're indirectly telling me to get ready and form my own killer cult that'll draw attention to my plight incase I get overlooked again. I see, you maybe right - pressure is the key. If SE fights for party nomination and fails then its time for Ogwu Nzu afterwhich we bomb and kill some few thousands. I get ya.

Nwanne, I think I'll pass. I'll rather have a smaller and secular free country than be fighting and killing every minute for power.

bayooooooo: I believe will need a national conference to discuss among other things:

1. Nigeria's secularism
2. Political structure
3. Resource control
Way to go. No ifs or buts. If we cant live together in peace then lets leave eachother in peace.
Sam_Ikenna, I call it exactly as I see it. It is clear to me that there is a political component to the BH issues and a lot of the violence is directly related to the violation of the power sharing agreement which has kept us together as a nation for decades. GEJ's announcement that he will not run in 2015 will have an immediate positive impact in the management of the BH debacle. The truth is bitter, but remains the truth.
I'm yet to see this power sharing agreement. Did I hear you say -kept us together for decades? so what happened to SE where I come from, how many shots of this sharing did they get throught this whole decade? Well its clear now that BH is political. Lets see how far this'll go.
Why are you playing tricks with small boys na? You ask for a solution to a problem; assuming the problem is unsolvable. Nwanne, if the problem is unsolvable then there can be no solution to it.

One quick solution: Offer the angry youths Amnesty in a similar level as what Yar'Adua offered MEND, give them hope for the future. Secondly, announce early that GEJ will not run in 2015. With these two acts, the BH problem should disappear overnight.
On another note, what do you mean by the bolded. We're not fools you know. Check this out - Gowon to Murtala, (OBJ broke the chain for about 3 yrs) Shagari to Buhari, Buhari to IBB, IBB to Abacha, Abacha to Abdusalami, (OBJ cam again and took 8 yrs) finally, we had Yaradua (GEJ is now taking his turn). Of all those people only two came from south and there was no time in history that southerners formed Boko Haram because of Nigerian presidency. We all did put up with mediocrity from Northern generals throught the whole time. We never said - tell us when you'll resign or we're not letting up on Boko Haramism.

The problem is that you guys up north (core north) take us for a ride, I dont blame you guys anyway. I blame southerners for putting up with this BS for such a long time. If GEJ chooses to take another shot at the presidency, hes welcome. Its the job of Nigerian electorates to either send him home to Otuoke or back to Aso Rock, no amount of intimidation or blackmail will work this time. Boko Haram doesnt factor into our constitution and never will. If it boils down to it then we all can go our different ways.

shymmex: Even if we agree to break Nigeria into pieces right now due to Boko Haram - where are going to put the Northern Christians surrounded by Muslims?

We can't break up along religious lines.
You're right, we cant break along religious lines - that'll be another monumental catastrophe. However, we can seperate along secular vs theocratic lines. The main thing is that we've lived together for decades and, unfurtunately, we've slaughtered eachother throught those decades. Somehow, its got to stop. Its either we're secular and free or we're not.
PoliticsRe: Pictures Of Bombings In Zaria And Kaduna by SamIkenna: 3:48am On Jun 18, 2012
shymmex: I understand what you're saying, but we don't really need a religious war - to break up.. The Boko Haram carnage has taken a different turn, and if care isn't taken, it will plunge the whole country into a religious war, which will be more disastrous than any tribal war.. If a religious war happens in Nigeria - how are we going to separate Christians from Muslims up North - and in the South?

God forbid, but I'd rather we have a tribal war - than a religious war!

That's more reason why our Commander in Chief needs to be proactive, we can't afford a religious war.
What if this nonsense is unsolvable - what is the solution then? Too many lives have been cut short in this country, no need to be serving the interest of colonial masters.

shymmex: GEJ has the keys to the house - and he's the only who can get in..

What's the point of having the Armed Forces, and a secret service - if they're not useful? GEJ already said he knows who the sponsors are - why can't he arrest them?

His defence adviser said the same thing.. So, what are they waiting for, and who is he scared of? How many people have to die, before they take a decisive action?

The ball is in GEJ's court - and he has one of the best Armed Forces, when it comes to guerrilla warfare under him - why can't he unleash them, on both BH, and their sponsors?

If BH was 'really' a terrorist organisation - they would have attacked the South.. It's a chess game, and power struggle - and they all know what they're doing... And they know GEJ is weak, and he can't bite, period.
Brother, easy. This violence we see didnt start today, it started around 1945. What we're seeing now is a different delivery method of the same old violence. This kind of senseless bloodletting had a hand in the first civil war, so curing it won't be easy neither will it be quick. Who knows, maybe we're just wasting time battling an incurable disease. Algeria defeated their own monsters but what you didnt realize is that Algeria is about 70-80% Arab with almost one religion. It wasn't like they used an "infidel" army led by "infidel" president to fight a "supposedly holy mujahadeen." The president was a muslim, the military was almost entirely muslim, and the enemy they fought was also muslim terrorists, Nigeria is a different game and a deadly one at that.

Nigeria is one of the most difficult countries in the world. The fact that something works in Haiti doesn't gaurantee success if applied in Nigeria. In fact, even if you take what works in SW or SE and apply it in every nook in this country, you'll be shocked at the result. This nation was not founded to be successful, I'm sorry to say that. A week ago I watched one documentary, "speaking freely - Vol 1.' By the time the film was over I almost saw myself hating Britain and America for what we've been through. Dont get me wrong bro, America and Britain are not the people bombing us today, we know our bombers - Boko Haram. Anyway, I'm not a student of conspiracy theories so I'll let folks watch that doc and then make up their minds.

In summary this is my solution - lets cut North east and North west loose. Its time they stayed on their own and let what remains of Nigeria adopt a full secular confederal state. North West and North East are great people with political, cultural, and religious peculiarities that are diametrically opposed to my idea of "one nation with one destiny." We all dont have to die because of our differences. There's always enough room for incompatible cultures to create their own breathing spaces without bumping into eachother. 2012-1945 is 67 years, and all these years we've been on the recieving end of this orgy of violence. North West and North East are our beloved African brothers but they deserve their own space just as Austria and Germany, Spain and Portugal, France and Italy, Ireland and UK, etc. Its better to be lean and alive, we've been big and dying for 67 years yet we dont want to embrace our moment of truth. The West screwed us big time because they never believed in "colored man's mental and economic independence" but the worst screw-job will come if we stay on this poo much longer.
