Culture › Re: There Can Never Be Gender Equality. by Sammy107d(m): 4:29am On Jan 03, 2009 |
@ post. U r right; but not because of the rib thing. As long as traditional and learnt gender roles portray men as the "men". . . Imagine a 12yr old cry and I tell him "you are such a girl"(weak, emotional sissy) The male usually learns to grow assertive, inquisitive and domineering, while their counterparts are taught to be self preserving, submissive. . . Experiments with maths and engineering have been conducted to prove these stereotypes; where a male and a female with equal capabilities were given supposedly "manly" tests in the same room. The knowledge of the stereotypes will kick in, increase the males performance, and have a negative effect on the females. If they are both told before the tests that males and females typically score the same average on the same test, the stereotypes are eliminated and they both perform to their potential; equal. I personally believe that men and women are quite equal. (We have fascinating tomboys , and effeminate bastards to show us that) These stereotypes took us a lifetime to establish, it would take another lifetime to erase. You can be whatever you want to be if you condition your mind to that new orientation. You Think, Therefore You Are. |

Good for Bauchi
A footage of a troop of baboons would offer more soothingness to the eyes as compared to Ekiti and its lawmakers. Ignominies at its zenith has become characteristic of the state house of assembly. I'm literally usually compelled to weep every time I see supposedly a honorable human bitch slap their excellency. My state; Ogun's childlike pettiness pales in comparison to Ekiti's bestialities. The people are basically screwed. watch the channels news on the website. |

"It had now become a national problem in South Africa, she added. . ."
for some reason, i dont believe this news. or its just one of those exaggerated articles. First ARVs are way too costly to be accessed by teenagers in quantity, and the kids are not stupid enough to grant journalists audience on such an issue.
Poeple or the school authorities knew the kids? "she was told to wait until school finished, so she could actually see how young some of the users were." And she watched them get high. "no matter how high they are, they wouldnt tell you who supplies the drugs"
"When I was doing the story, many HIV patients were complaining that they don't get the drugs and that queues are long and it was taking a long time to access them," said Ms Nhlapo.
Widespread problem" very inrealistic, especially with south africa's relatively "civilized" setting. Picture scores of aids patients queing for drugs. . .
and the kids she talked to were not taken to juvies.
Im sure its really no issue. . . |

U better read my post well.Actually now i know the type of Ghanaian u are.All the fact u kept on spreading on here u have not been able to prove any to us either that is wht makes it unreal. You better read my post very well, I never said Nigeria is the best or perfect. People like you are jst ordinary ghanain that are being caried away by little. My fren like i said there more pressing issues in Ghana ,other than election issue jst as it is in every country.
I read all you post unless you have some buried in your head without posting all of them. This post is about Ghana being a model to Nigeria for organizing elections period. If Ghana has other problems so is Nigeria and you are free to compare other Nigerians issues with Ghana's. Bring them on and you will be able to see that Ghana fares much better than Nigeria.
But, again you don’t believe that my facts are real, shoot me some of your facts for comparison. I know what will be your typical response. These facts are unreal without even showing some real fact. Since opposite of real is unreal show me some real facts. It’s not going to happen. Naija style.
America had a good election process in 2000 and 2004 but jst ended up with 8yrs of economic disaster and budget deficit. Use ur tongue and count ur teeth before u jst come up here and start bragging about ghana.
It is delusional to think that 2000 and 2004 caused all the economic problems. Would it be suffice to say that good elections in the past 100 years have made America an envy of the world? There is not a causal effect to show that good elections are bad for a country’s economic development, instead it is the contrary.
As per elections not being a vehicle for economic and social development? Can you give me lists of best countries in the world and worst countries in the world? You will not be surprised to see that best ruled countries are democracies and worst ruled countries are autocracies and semi autocracies.
Its only free and fair election that can help Nigeria. Damned conceit |
