Hello does anyone have any updates on the MTN leadership grant. The last I heard MTN invited some people to Lagos, Abuja and P.H. to make presentation of their business plans. Has anyone heard any news since then.

May I ask why you would want a free webosting to test your Joomla site? I am asking this because, maybe its the case whereby you wish to see how well your design would look before you upload to the internet , in that case you could host on your local wampserver, test how it looks before you upload to the internet.

I've always said it that Nigerians are amongst the most intelligent people in the world. I wish we could use it for good, then this country will be great. You can imagine that inspite of the corruption we are still surviving.

My Google account got disabled at a time.

It happened after someone in Nigeria contacted and said he wanted to partner with me by driving traffic to my site and I would pay him money from my Google advert. I was a bit curious and gave him one of my sites.

That evening I noticed 50 Euros in my adsense account. I had never made that much within 5 hours, so I checked on my webstats only for me to find out that the page loads, IP address and clicks did not match up. i.e. there were more page loads from a single IP with different clicking going on, there.

The next day, I had to call the chap to stop, unfortunately google banned me within 3 days and all my explanation fell on deaf ears to make matters really annoying, I was expecting 200 Euros that week.

I was really angry, but had to open up another google adsense account with another email address and this time monitor it.

After I left school in 2003, I caught the bug of how to make money from the Internet from Success Digest Magazine which I stumbled upon through a friend ( most successful Internet marketers in Nigeria attribute their calling to Sunny Ojeagbase' s SD mag. You can use MTN internet sim cards (which is what I am using now to type this message from my laptop) The Internet sim card cost N13,690 you would need a Phone that is GPRS enabled (I am using motorola L6) and connecting via the blue tooth function alternatively instead of using a phone, you can use the MTN GPRS modem which is about N24,000 - N28,000. With the MTN sim card you can browse 24hrs. You get to pay N13,500 monthly

Alternatively you can use GLO direct, I am not so sure of their rates but I think you get the Internet sim for N12,000 and their GPRS modemfor N25,000. It only works with laptops unlike MTN which you can use for desktop. Glo helps you configure and installs while with MTN you would do it on your own. You pay a N12,00/month fee for 24hrs.

With any of them, you get to browse any where you have a Glo or MTN conncetion. I hope that was helpful
