Oga we don't need to sugar coat anything.....if he is on HP he can't continually deliver 49k every week ....na bicycle him dey take work ni...do you know the hard labour the car will go through to deliver such week in week out....or maybe you are the one generalising what the guy told you he deliver in a week as every week, or the guy is not telling you the truth.

There's something he's not telling his friend. You are very correct Bro

I can see you're a total novice and innocently ignorant of this business.
You cant use your friend's situation to gauge yours. He's on HP, he can as well choose to dip his hands into another source of income and remit 100k weekly, it is for his benefit; the earkier he completes the payment, the better for him.

You're coming here to seek for rental and proposing 30k upward as a newbie is like a suicide mission; you can possibly make it in some weeks and not in another week; you will realise you're just like walking in cycle because you will have lil or nothing left for yourself after 35k remittance. You will barely have anything to save aside eating and even grow lean at that due to the stressful nature of the job while struggking to meet up with 35k.

In summary, 25k-30k is the standard, even 25k is the common remittance now; like the standard remittance, the era of 30k is almost gone.

Half words they say are enough for the wise............

@AdesuyiVictor.
Take it or leave it but u can't get anything better than this

Quite frankly, apart from the months of Oct, Nov and Dec. U make 60k a week on the average. So u see why everybody is surprised someone is delivering 49k a week. It means he keeps just 11k for himself after a full week of hard labour.
The fact that he is on HP self makes it even more unbelievable because he is financially responsible for every pin that goes wrong with his vehicle.

So ask that your friend again how him dey take do am. I am interested grin

Or maybe he has some offline customers that pay him big money. I know a guy on hp too who pays 30k but he doesn't work most of the days because he has some big boys customers. Sometimes they travel and spend a week in hotel. Only God knows what they are into. Any owner-partner that put yoke on driver-partner neck should just know that anything can happen any time any day

I see. Hope he's saving for when the car will require big money cos is partner maybe not rescue him o. I know someone who was paying higher but not up to 50k sha o and after lock down owner collected the car claimed the driver defaulted just because he did not remit and the car was with him throughout the lock down. You sounded like you have a piece of advice for me...

I'll like to listen to it.... Don't speak in parables.

A friend of mine do 49K weekly here In Lagos..

So.....
Are you sure your friend is not exaggerating? Maybe he's the owner of the car and what he's trying to tell you is that he save the amount every week as owner.

Engine was burning oil, the first time I serviced it I used 5w30 synthetic, but before the week ran out it was already at the low guage of the dipstick so I had to keep topping. Next service I switched to 20w50 and it happened to be one of the best decisions i've taken in my life grin
I was expecting engine to pack up in approx 6 months later but to the glory of God I'm still travelling upandan with that engine.
If my engine doesn't dry oil I would surely use 5w30 synthetic but for this situation? I pass cheesy
Now I understand

Maybe a little mathematics will convince him.

I top up with 1 ltr of oil aprox. every 1000 miles.

Difference btw mobil 1 synthetic 1 ltr and sharlu 20w50 1 ltr is around 3k so i save 3000 on each top up.

Engine has covered over 100, 000 miles, that means I've topped up around 100 times.
3000 x 100 times
That's 300,000 saved (and still counting)

Now oga dru23 if I have been putting that money in a safe, I can go and buy another engine now, and the old one is still working perfectly. Do you understand now?

What they teach you in school is always different from what experience will teach you in real life

Please I don't get it o, are you saying top up every 1000mil or change every 1000mil? Does your engine short oil or how do u top up and the oil won't be over-guage? Can you please set more light on this. Thanks

The engine finally gave up o ... he now sold it .. It is now a new car to the next sucker ........

So car running like new is very relative to different people .. This is why car engine is a big market in Nigeria... Nigerias change engine like the change lane on the road

Na him get him belle and him say him no hungry wetin again? Let d next user battle it when the time comes now átóńbùrú he said he had saved enough money from oil more that the amount to buy another engine. That's profit maximization now

No oooh I no travel ooh me still dey Lagos ooh... As a matter of fact I'm having my daughter's dedication come this Sunday so if you're around you can come celebrate with me one bottle sure for you diegrin.

As for that agro business? Mennn... Agro work requires huge capital unless you just wanna suffer so I'm trying to balance well.

Same day my former partner(manager) retrieved his car i got two offers:

1. Same car with the one i just dropped, same color too but heckney permit is not ready yet but the man is renting at 25k/week but me just dey drag yash for ground with am base on d winter.

2. Same partner to my former car (the real owner), its his fleet manager that advised... It's complicated shall... Base on Grace I got to find out the real owner and meet him one on one... (Complicated)... So the guy is bringing in a corolla by the end of the month or Feb...

A friend in my neighborhood just called in now self and he too has an offer from his close friend...

na dem dey rush usgrin

When you look at all of these I just get a little bit confuse because I can only drive 1, so considering the on going winter I'm just trying to apply my chess and poka game skills so I don't make a wrong decision like I did late 2019/2020 with my former partner (a bird at hand is worth two in the bush) and again, I wouldn't want to default neither do I want to over work myself just to meet up to 25kweekly fee n protect my integrity with option No.1...

So its a great dilemma I find myself right now. But I'm sure to make the right decision at the end of the day.

I wish I'm in Lagos to attend but all the same congratulations once again.

grin I don't know anything like courtesy again... some riders r funny in an interesting way grin rider phone rang and she put it on speaker, the caller to rider... where r u? I'm inside Uber, on my way home
Caller: There's no this at home, no dat, stop at so and so places to get them
Rider: I don't cash with me
Caller: Tell the driver to give you, that you will transfer everything with ride fare

Me just keep my straight face like The Game cheesy she looked at me and stutter for seconds, please can I get cash from u? Inside my mind I'm like: I hope u don't want to remain unfortunate for the rest of your life, on indriver and u are asking this kind of stupid question. I have to lecture her on how everybody does transfer lately, and how tedious it is to get gas, so am out of cash as well. Another trip that kind of make me laff, was the day I picked a rider on a 4k trip from phase 1 to CMD on indriver. That's how this girl is using me to play, next thing was her leaving a whatsapp voice note "Dear I'm leaving, or do you want me to stay back, let me know" cheesy smh and cracked a smile, that reply nah on 3rd Mainland bridge u go read em, by then we will b discussin what she want to add for return trip.

life is nothing I agree with u.But at least his children will inherit the cars. Even the Bible says in Proverbs 13:22: “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children.”

The children are rich already my brother. You won't be surprised those cars means nothing to them. The level of some of the children of these billionaires are even higher than that of their fathers. I've seen a billionaire Army General who died and the two children and his wife just came for the burial and traveled back the following morning. Family started fighting over his properties.

Please share experience we r here to learn... Yesterday as I park at d front of MKO Abiola gardens, my mind has already hint me I'm parked on major road, but with d low request , tiredness and frown, I decide to dare whatever. A man walked up to me and told me to b mindful, cos Lastma disturbs. Told him thank you and position d car to auto fly, in a kind off zoom drive, while other drivers queue at my back (God forgive me). This sleep kept hitting me hard, as I struggle with it, I'll check both front and rearview just in case... like the coming of Christ, I've lost my guard when dis ppl show, 2 towing vans and there vehicle. They were talking to the drivers behind me wit dia knives in dia hands, the kind speed I use to zoom off was next to none. Went to shop rite for 55 mins, no good trip, I gently find my way home, b4 my shoprite ticket cut. Diary of winter reloaded.

As I'm typing now, I'm just at yard, thinking of exit plan grin
