So the poster didnt see the good acts of Nigerians in Ghana? The best movie produced in Ghana in 2005 and 2006 werw both produced by a Nigerian resident in Ghana. see ROYAL BATTLE staring Kofi Ajilolo, Smith Asante, Jackie Appiah etc and also, POWER OF THE GODS staring Nonso Diobi, Mercy Johnson, Kofi Ajilolo, Jackie Appiah, Fifi Coleman, and many others. The guy has contributed immensely to Ghanawood. There are many others like him in Ghana, doing business legally. why wont you see those ![]() ![]() ![]() its only the bad eggs that you choose to see. Last year a ghanaian man raped a 9 year old girl in Lagos. it was in the papers. Did we scream "Blue murder"? NO. Every country has bad eggs especially the US. yet you're living there and refusing to come back, while they are the ones that started the global meltdown abi na global warming. That is CONFIRMED 419. where did all the money melt to ![]() answer me, and i'll give you a reward ![]() |
I don tire for this accusations and counter accusations. De-marketing Pull him down syndrome (abi na spirit) The fact is that there is global reccession and i know that no bank is safe. IBPLC, GTB, etc, even CBN, afterall the government of Czech republic crashed yesterday because of the recession, while some European countries have declared bankrupty. We should be happy that no bank has failed in Nigeria and we're just tackling this dollar issue(my major concern as a businessman) Since IBPLC has now told us again that minimum balance is now 1k, i'm ok. That was why we joined this thread in shouting Ole! "the best warriors are these two: TIME and PATIENCE" - chinese proverb time will tell, lets have patience ;D |
well said ![]() |
I dont know about the theory of NWO all i know is that this is plain and simple wayo which started in America and affected the world because the dollar is a dominant currency. Yesterday, the chinese government called for a united world currency and USA, Uk and Europe were very quick to brush off the idea. If na Naija yahoo boys do this kin thing America would use it as opportunity to attack Nigeria and take over our oil wells ![]() |
zomby:my brother, aint you a Nigerian ?which one come be "you and your people"? well, my people are driving through potholes, generating our own electricity, building our own schools. providing our own security, drilling our own boreholes, and praying that God will touch the hearts and minds of those in power so that they will realise that Nigeria belongs to all of us and not just a selected few who covet everything and expect us to clear the road for them when their convoys drive past. ![]() |
You've never crossed the shores of this country. No wonder you think Naija is all bleeped up. Try living in other countries and you'll long for Naija with all her ills. My business has taken me to 12 countries and i've lived abroad for close to 3 years now so i know what i'm saying. There are more corrupt nations than naija, believe me. |

Take a picture of Amaukwu road, Milverton, Onwuka nails etc. dont just post a picture of a clean street and talk. the last time i visited naija in 2007, Aba was a mess and i wept. I couldnt even stay in my aunts house in Osisioma Ngwa, she was afraid for my safety. She said armed robbers may visit them that night if i stayed around. I couldnt get to my cousins place in Amaukwu because the gutters were flooded. I spent the night in a hotel for security reasons despite the fact that i have over 15 relatives living in Aba. Each warned me to be careful. I had to leave Aba the next day. I used to say that Opkoko in Onitsha was dirty, but Aba was bleeped up when i got there. Opkoko is a graden. With what i used to read about Orji Kalu i had supported his presidentail aspirations and had praised him to i got to Aba. My cousin tells me aba has not changed. Its really sad. |
udezue:i no support that one o. you wan turn naija to kosovo or beirut ![]() ? |

For RCCG to defend the purchase of the Jet on Nairaland means that the complaints of people dey pain them well well. Some members in the church are not finding it funny. I'm not totally against the purchase but the timing was all wrong. The Pope is in Africa and the Catholic church is the richest church in the world. The Vatican bank has more money than the World bank but the Pope flies commercial Alitalia, despite the fact that he's a target of extrimists. I wonder what RCCG will do if they are as rich as the catholic church ??Buy a country, maybe. ![]() |

Seems we have some Atheists in the room. well, everyone is entitled to his belief. I belief that Jesus Christ knew everything about Judas. If there was no one to betray Our Lord Jesus, He wouldnt have been killed on the cross. Christ came to die> That was the reason for His coming. To redeem us with the Precious Blood. Judas was an instrument to our salvation. |
So, its now a battle between Richyblack and Zomby ![]() pls note: "In a community where THIEVES are made CHIEFS, the youth will THIEVE to become CHIEFS" thats the case with my country Nigeria. ![]() |
Na wah for this case o!!!! I've had people say i'm a staff of IBPLC becuase i dont buy Mr. Coker's story. Some poeple are also calling me names because i supported those who said its now "de-marketing". I dont know which is which here again. Do you guys think that a customer of the said bank cannot also come here and say good things of the bank ?? Just as we, the customers protested the 10k minimum balance increase on Nairaland, we still have the right to say "yes" the bank is not performing or "no, you're wrong" in this case my stance is NO. the bank doesnt have any problem.(none that i know of though) as a customer, the only time you say your bank has a problem is when your cheques are not honored. Lets get this facts straight. None of us know the true state of things. Mr Coker is not a staff of IBPLC, so how did he get all these "said facts" including the "bomb" he threatens to drop?? Why is he doing this? What is in it for him? If you've ever held a top position in your village/town/school politics, you'll know that there are cases you dont just delve into and decide. you have to get facts and also ask yourself these questions when allegations are made; why? where? How? why now? Whats in it for the complainant? Answer these questions, and you're not far from the truth! |
lmao ![]() |
you are welcome. we'll keep some space for you ![]() |
neogogo:1. I'm not a staff of Intercontinental bank. 2. I joined in criticising them for the 10k increase 3. I've been an active member of Nairaland since last year(check my profile) 4. I dont reside in Nigeria. 5. I believe this is now "de-marketing" and i first used the word "pull him down syndrome" cos its actually happening 6. You just signed on newly and all your posts have been on Intercontinental, this shows "PULL HIM DOWN SYNDROME" This blogger clearly has a lot of inside information on Intercontinental, so i'm willing to deduce some points. 1.His job application had been rejected or had worked for the said bank before being "fired". There's too much venom on his attack on this bank. I think this is personal. Over here, people go to jail for these stuff |
youngmonie:Give it to the poor if it means nothing. Dont stand at the pulpit and tell me to give. You've got thousands of jobless, underpaid, and hungry people in your fold. $20 million will go a long way to address their plight. If that money had been spent to better peoples lives,, they would have made him a living saint. "papa Theresa" would be his new nickname ![]() Why do you think many people patronise these churches? For financial and spiritual salvation. abi you no know ![]() ![]() |
I dont think there's anything wrong with Intercontinental. My company has had accounts with them for over 12 years now and all through last week and even yesterday we've been making major withdrawals and deposits without any incidents. While i joined in shouting Ole about their 10k minimum deposit which has been reversed, i believe now that what is going on with this particular post is DEMARKETING PURE and SIMPLE I've also noticed that this "pull him down" syndrome in Naija will never change ![]() |
i-report hey, i'm glad we introduced Nollywood and shaped the industry. we've created employment for thousands of Nigerians without the aid of the government. You should be happy about that. I'm proud of it. ![]() |
iReport:The documentary was based on a Nigerian youth. And Nigerians were more willing to be interviewed and co-operative than their African brethren. Besides, didnt you listen to the documentary? |
Based on the history of my community, there are two categories of Osu. 1. Slaves/prisoners bought /captured during the ancient days who were later given their freedom by their masters and inculcated into the communinty. This category were given land and a slave wife given to them. In our present generation they are allowed intermarriage, but are wise enough to steer clear of village politics. 2. This second group are natives of community but their ancestors ran to the oracle for protection and swore allegiance, so as not to be taken by slave traders or killed by their kinsmen with jazz or anything. Once a man does that, his wife and immediate family and descendants all become "Osu", property of the gods. Anyone who associates with him is seen as an Osu and because in those days, the oracles were very deadly and powerful, no one crossed the Osus or did business with them for fear of the anger of the gods. It is only the original man that swore allegiance to the oracle and became "osu", that can go back to the oracle and make serious sacrifices to redeem himself and family. Once the man dies, all his decendants are called "OSU". Note: many of them are seriously rich. the ones in my town are in High offices of government and very rich businessmen. They never try to invovle in village politics because it will be used against them. |
this is not nigeria town. it should be caled ibo crime village in china.
why should it be called that?? It seems you have something against Igbos. hm? Guangzhou has over 20,000 africans living there, Nigerians are about 50% of that population. We have Yorubas and Igbos here too. Few hausas are here but many of them are in Beijing. The song that was used as the sound track was composed and produced here by an up coming Igbo musician who lives here. The song narrates what nigerians living in China go through. |
Nuzo is not in any of the pictures. That is Guangzhou city and Nuzo doesnt live there. |
Did you guys even listen to the commentary by David Hogsholt or did you just look at the pictures ![]() ?Nothing about crime was mentioned and most Nigerians there are businessmen. Even if they are Igbos nko? You should know that any city in the world that doesnt have an Igbo man, has nothing to offer. PURE and SIMPLE ![]() |
I dont know about other banks in Naija and i HONESTLY dont have a problem with the 50 naira deduction for using the ATM. 1. ATM's cost money to buy, install, and maintain. 2. Banks need to make money like every other business. My problem with them was the 10k minimum balance which they've rectified. As a customer of almost 13 years, i get BIG stake for that bank so i can halla at them as i want. thats why i joined in Shouting "OLE, OLE!!"The fact is that majority of the customers dont like the 50 naira charge on the ATM, Personally, i dont even have ATM card,i have no use for it. so i dont care much about that. I suggest Intercontinental should ask customers withdrawing below 20k to use the ATM but i've seen someone withdrawing 2,500 naira from ATM and charging the person 50 naira for such withdrawal is not fair o. |

Ifygurl:You've never been to China. People bring in drugs into China from all over Africa and Asia. The normal grass you'll see for 10 naira in naija is worth 750naira in the streets of China. Cold dey there plenty so, many of them need to be high ![]() |
Well said. they should have thrown shoes at the ugly man |
