how come it bears that name, cos last time i was in ghana, it was refered to as pure water.

thing is that we cant do without them, that is satchet water and bottled water

not all pure water producers are registered and i believe for one to have a pure water production facility, you MUST get clearance from the Ministery of health and Nafdac too.

on your statement, we know they are not all "pure". it all depends on who is producing the pure water and the Recommended water treatment from NAFDAC.

My brother, i wont lie to you.
I worry about the state of affairs in Nigeria, and what we, the Nigerians in daispora go through when we identify ourselves as Nigerians.
We are seen as criminals, drug pushers and thieves.
It got to a stage where i shamefully started denying my nationality. Right now, some people think i'm Jamaican, others believe i'm Ghanaian cos i featured once in  ghanaian movie.

But, i've started correcting them and i'm fed up with the insults we recieve abroad as Nigerians.
I keep coming back to this thread so that i can learn one or two things about ways we can go forward as a nation.
I'm waiting for someone more intelligent than myself to profer reasonable solutions and we'll start from there.

Believe me, we really need to change the way things are in Nigeria, but the BILLION DOLLAR question is

Even Prof Wole Soyinka is not too happy.
His words:

“If Obama decides to grace Nigeria with his presence, I will stone him. The message he is sending by going to Ghana is so obvious; is so brilliant that he must not render it flawed by coming to Nigeria any time soon,” he said.

Commenting on Nigeria’s downward spiral status in the international community as a result of the recent non-invitation to the G20 Summit and now Obama’s preferred visit to Ghana, Soyinka said Nigeria had never had any status in the first place.

According to him, there is no basis to judge if Nigeria’s status is either increasing or decreasing since the factors upon which such analysis can be measured are lamentably absent.

Everyone is entitled to his own opinions and thoughts about Nigerian politics, the masses and what goes on in our respective states.

I'm tired of people questioning other peoples actions and complaining from miles away.

I'll do what i can as an individual to contribute to the developement of my locality. Right now all i can do is to provide employment for a few people and put a couple of others on scholarship through any Nigerian university they qualify for.

I'll be relocating permanently to Nigeria before the end of this summer to contribute my quota to Anambra state. I'm done complaining.

Its not for the faint hearted and many of us are faint hearted. Politics in Nigeria is a ruthless business and a close friend of Governor Peter Obi once said that "peter is on a hot seat and has many people working against him"

Political assassins are making big bucks by blackmailing, kidnapping and killing.
the MOST annoying part of this is that the assassins are graduates/undergraduates recruted and funded by political parties and individuals

I said it, I have an issue with this being mainly about hate for a party and not necessarily about ensuring things change for the people in a positive manner. From the much I have read of things in Anambra state, things do not seem any better than they are in other states.

Don’t get me wrong here, I am not saying that the youths did not do a good job, but I sort of sense it is being done for the wrong reasons or the drive ended after the elections and that, to me is not what I believe will cause change in the short term. If we want to, we can compare that move to the one that tried to get Abiola in office at all cost out of spite for Hausa’s and IBB. Problem is Abiola himself was not necessarily a better man for the people as his hands were seriously stained with blood and stolen gold.

we didnt do it for the wrong reasons. I'm a business man and was resident then in a business district and PDP messed up my state with Gov. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, so naturally we all disliked the party.
Then, APGA was formed and it presented a fellow businessman as a candidate. A man who had never delved into politics. A respectable and God fearing businessman who we all know where he has his office and shops in onitsha.
He promised us change and we united and campaigned freely and he won but the election was rigged and Dr. Ngige of PDP became governor of my state.
though Dr. Ngige was imposed on us, he refused to share the wealth of Anambra state and began doing what we never thought was posible in Anambra state. he built roads, schools, paid salaries and provided infrsatructure and many loved him, but APGA kept fighting for its mandate AND WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN IT IF THE PDP DID NOT COLAPSE ON ITSELF by declaring that they rigged the election and it was Mr. Peter Obi of APGA who actually won the election.
PDP felt it was easier to remove Mr. peter Obi from office than Dr. Ngige, but they were wrong.
Mr. Peter Obi is still governor of my state and he's doing what he promised us he'd do.

Our youth leader was approached by PDP before the elections. they tried to buy him so that he'll sabotage APGA youth movement but he turned them down.
He was later kidnapped, threatened and released.
The poor guy just resigned from APGA completely.

i lived with a Ghanaian in Nigeria for 6 years and he made a lot of money in Nigeria and went back home to Suhum, Eastern Region where he established his private school which i hear has won awards in Ghana.

The ghanaian movie industry has also learned a lot from Nollywood. Your producers prefare to hire Nigerian directors for serious movie projects.
The biggest movie ever produced in Ghana till date was a Nigerian project.

Power of the gods had a cast and crew of over 90 people. We spent a month in Ghana for that production and paid Ghanaian stars well for it. It was a media frenzy and we had reporters on location almost everyday because the movie was star studded with Nonso Diobi, Mercy Johnson, Fifi Coleman, Jackie Appiah, Emma Anyalogu, Kofi Ajilolo etc
It was after that movie that Jackie Appiah became hot demand in Nollywood.

My brother inlaw ordered some goods that were shipped in February this year directly to Lagos wharf, till now the container has not been cleared. A friend of mine shipped his own container the same month and sent his to Lome port. His goods are currently in nigerian markets now. they both used the same shipping line. Imagine.

The questions you raised will not be answered by Mosun_ade, cos we all know the truth.
We cry out for change to happen but we all benefit from the corruption and mayhem directly or indirectly.
This will be a hard pill for most of us to swallow, ie admitting to benefit from the chaos in Nigeria. I’m not talking of the government officials, or politicians, or police men and soldiers. I’m talking of we the masses.
Here are some examples.
1 an okada man rides his bike without helmet/proper papers and believes he’ll dodge the police. When his luck runs out, it’s a matter of 20naira and business as usual.

2. True that Nepa or is it power holding officials rarely read meters these days, (no light) they just give out bills of estimated readings. Most guys accumulate large bills and go bribe the PHCN officials and they wipe the bills off the system.

3. Most items we trade on and use in Nigeria are contraband and we gladly bribe to customs to look the other way.

4. How many of us can afford to buy brand new cars or cars below 10years old? The cheapest of those cars is about 1.2 million naira. How many Nigerians can afford that? We all cruise in banned cars, smuggled across the border and issued fake shipping documents gladly provided by our corrupt officials and we blame the police for detaining us at the checkpoints.

5. when was the last time most of us paid our taxes?(some will argue what has the govt done with oil revenue)

6 .many parents still pay for special exam centers for their wards, and even bribe the kids way into the university. How do you expect campus cultism to stop?

7. In Nigeria, you’re only respected and appreciated if you have money. No one cares how many certificates you have bagged. They’re only interested in how many houses you’ve built and what kind of SUV you came back to naija with. (Nuzo take note)

8. When most guys abroad call and say they want to return to Nigeria, they are asked why they want to return.

I just spoke to a friend in Nigeria on the phone and when I told him I’ll be returning finally to naija, he screamed and asked me why.
