Chai! If this is actually true, sorry man. I hope your country rewards your exceptional decision... Not many can be this strong. |
pacificom:Oga, nothing will change. Governments development can't make everyone better off it is NOT possible... Don't mention govt in cases like this instead mention parameters like parents, family etc. |
Go to school, so you can at least know the difference between left and right, right and wrong but NO. Everybody wants to be at the top with no value. Imagine, aspiring to be a maid. To me, nothing has changed. Slave na slave! Slave in Europe or slave in Mali. Since, they've achieved their dream job, I wish them lasting success in their endeavor. |
Who else thinks their marriage can not work? Cheating and jealousy would be the separating strategy. No bad feelings, just my thought... |
Wait o, shey breeze no blow am for that open yansh? The temperature suppose different there na |
"after he won"? Comments below me would address this! |
I am still curious to know why these people can't dress to look cool. Parents won't let their kids develop skills that could sell them in the entertainment industry because of these set of persons. Wizkid can't comb/ brush his hair neatly, see those fat guys too, looking like what I can't describe.. Did that guy fix that hair on his neck? |
Shape or no shape, this is wrong. Her skirt is too short and tight plus she's on slippers, really?! So she cannot afford to buy a nice shoe and a fair enough skirt? |
Early in da morning!!! Sex experience ko?! It's only a stupid fellow that would seat somewhere and share something like this... We are busy thinking about our personal next level, government or no government |
Lol ![]() Something is wrong with this one. |
I don't get. Where is the "huge backside"? |
There's something I still don't get. Was their active participation summoned to this rally? I still don't get why people would be so idle to go seat under an unproductive political rally of whatever party. They could have been somewhere else, trying to make ends meet, or just in their various houses. |
![]() Like seriously ![]() |
hinograce:You're blessed! Honestly! |
You can't check via website. |
Ekpekus:Yeah! Thanks Ekpekus. |
Who else was expecting a family photo as in everybody together? |
kowasco:One way to read fast is to try another reading method. There's a type/method of reading termed "skimming", it is said to be the best and fastest. Skimming is when a reader skims-through a book hastily. This is how skimming works, you start with the page where what would be discussed in the entire book is summarized - the topic highlights and the about the book. Now, read through each chapter, don't write anything or underline. This way, your brain automatically would pick what it finds most interesting, plus some text are saved in the memory. Do this for the first few chapters (divide the entire book and deal with the first fraction). After you must have skimmed through, now go back to chapter one and try to read 250 words per minute. Each line of a book is assumed to have 10 words, so 25 lines in a minute. You would be a little faster because your brain would relate to the texts since you skimmed through but you wouldn't meet to the 1 minute target initially, because continuous practice makes perfection. Keep reading and trying, over time you would get better... When you get a hang of what the chapter is about, you can then underline, memorize etc. There's a TedX video of 'how to read a book a day' on YouTube, you should watch it. |
I can't see anything wrong in particular. Maybe you should use descriptive words... |
Now this is simple, you did not encode the text you read into the long-term memory. Remember that there are three types of memory: 1. Short term memory 2. Working memory 3. Long term memory. Like I said earlier, you did not encode well, so your hours of reading suffered to your short-term memory which last for some hours. The possible solutions are, 1. Free your mind off thoughts - This is really difficult but try to distract it with unknown musical instrumentals (I try rap and Indian songs) or a very sensitive environment where people are watching you. This again might be difficult due to your type of learning. 2. Space your reading sessions - this is one of the most reliable way of retaining all you've read. Read in fits-and-starts. For instance, read from 4 - 7am, go do some other activities, continue reading from say, 12 - 2pm, revise what you've read and read something new again before sleep, say, 9pm - 10pm. For everytime you get rest or take a break, the brain syncs the information and tries to transfer the information to the working memory. 3. Relate the text to events - this is the best way to retain information. Syncing your readings to events quickens the long-term memory. Let's say you're reading about Cognitive Development, trying to relate the topic to the stages of development in humans from birth using a friend as an example would help you take in the information about Cognitive Development. Another could be to write down the key-terms in the text you're reading, then map it on a piece of paper. You could also try the first alphabets of some terms and make a word/sentence out of it. This would help you memorize a very long paragraph, sincerely. 4. Revise - One best way to revise is to set quantitative and qualitative questions about the texts you've covered. Then, try to answer the questions over and over again. 5. Explore different reading environments - Unfortunately, this doesn't do much in some campuses in Nigeria. On your own, try to read at a corner in your room, read on the bed (but ensure you don't sleep off), read while on the floor, read with music, read with people around you, read in the kitchen, read in the toilet, read outside, maybe under a tree free of animals, read in a garden, read at the bus stop etc. This may sound crazy, but sincerely, you are gradually building an environment where nothing or nobody can disturb your concentration. And at the same time, your memory would find events that would help you take information into the long-term memory which you'd remember after years. 5. Share with friends - This way, you're gradually transferring whatever you're discussing into your long-term memory. Teach your friends what you've discovered and hear from them too. 6. Get sleep and nutrition - Every other thing above might be put in place but with less expected outcome in return. Give the body what it needs to function well. Look-up "foods for the brain" and inculcate the ones you can afford then get good sleep. With all of this in place, you would memorize an entire textbook, make it a challenge... |
ProsperOkec:Like an instance? Man of the moment! No one is holier. Good one there! |
Which curve did she flaunt? |
OP, your story is nice, but the breast-feeding etc. doesn't amout to anything. The word "own" is quite heavy for this context, because nobody owns anybody, truly. If I would make the sense out of this post, I'd say the mother, any day, anytime! Husband and Wife are partners! No owning! |
franchasng:Every region of my brain is intact. I think and I reason well too. This is just your discovery, it's everyone's assumption that nobody is HOLIER. In the midst of recovering looted funds, some funds are currently misappropriated, funds are embezzled. But it's minimal, those who get away with fund looting are scared because EFCC and DSS are the hottest watchdogs, they could bounce on you one beautiful morning. About Abacha and Buhari, I don't have any CONCRETE information just as YOU don't too. Just a reminder, "when you attain some certain positions, the benefits attached to the positions are not just for you nor your family, it "trickle-down" to many others." |
OP, I didn't read your stories above. But one thing is for sure, this guy is relatively better than those you think are better... Moreover, there are some life changing benefits that comes with attaining some positions. When you get there, you'd see the spread effect, not only to your family, but to many others on your tree. |
Lol. The guy just loyal even when the slap landed. That Mr. Yes or No, must not handle them, there would be no need for court case. ![]() I hope money wouldn't save this ones. |
hisexcellency34:You shouldn't have replied. Lagos is free, go out and see for yourself! |
princevih:You could have passed this same message across in a more polite manner... Everyone has to believe in something that must have convinced them, and of course everyone can't be religious. That user has not been convinced by religion that's all! The user is not a fool for that! |
