I have not heard the hi track, but if we all can listen to some "acclaimed"Nigerian musician with their crappy music, then we should cut the young lady some slack, she said she is going to get better...am not a fan of hers, but the way you all are going it seems you love to hate her...come to think of it,when I was listening to the its over track,it sound so much like Goldie. |
As hard as I feel my heart is,I dare not watch that video of the killing cos my heart can't just take it,it's just beyond any word in my dictionary........it's a very common thing for students and indigenous ppl to have frictions,I remmeber my days in UI,the host community always look @ the students with disdain,it's just a common feature every where in the country,I fully understand the outrage from everyone of us but I also want us to remmeber the MUBI massacre. And to think that most of this host communities fight to have higher institutions of learning in their domain it's so pathetic. |
Rip bro........it's so sad talent can be wasted that way.....I can't imagine cats like this spewing lyrics doing what they av being accused of....no matter what the story is no one has the right to take another ones life. |
Sincere 9gerian: If what Achebe wrote is the TRUTH, then why shouldn't he tell the TRUTH? Why do some persons want him to hide the TRUTH? That someone says it as it is does not mean the person is still ANGRY or BITTER. The TRUTH is the TRUTH and the TRUTH can never be late in coming. So SORRY if it offended some Yoruba persons or any other person but the TRUTH should not be withheld because it will offend some persons. Again the TRUTH may be RIGHT or WRONG depending on your side of the divide or your understanding of issues. To some persons it is right to use starvation as weapon of war but to others it is an ATROCIOUS act. In the opinion of Achebe and some other persons, it is WRONG but in the opinion of others, including the Late Chief Awo, it is RIGHT. Such is life. But bottomline is was starvation used as weapon of war during the Nigerian civil war? Yes! Was Late Awo the driver of such policy? Yes! Was late Awo interested in becoming president of Nigeria after decimating the 'enemy'? Yes! Was Achebe right in documenting these TRUTHS in his book for posterity sake? I think yes. FOR THE INFORMATION OF ALL, not ALL weapons of war are acceptable or 'fair'. That is the reason you have the red cross and UN to deliver food to the civillian population even in the period of war. Also it is unacceptable to use certain cluster bombs during war or bomb certain targets during war. Again Igbos did not declare war on Nig rather it was Nigeria that attacked Igbo homeland after the east seceded due to massacre of Igbos in the northThe Truth!I really don't understand how starvation was used by Awolowo on two million easterners mostly children,I don't understand and have never come across where starvation was mention as a weapon of war,I know there are blockades from biblical period till date (gaza strip),or a siege, but during the war Awolowo was not the commander in chief,he was not even in the military he was a mere advicer to the military leader who had the last order. During the war the old Eastern region had a sea port,a border with Cameroun,so how come Awolowo starved the people, even when they had their own land to graze upon and cultivate their own food, why should I feed you only for you to come back and fight me? I av read the story the prof is talking about but the real truth is that he was being economic about the truth, the Nigerian govt at that time use to send food to the east through the red cross to feed the children and the women during the war,but I was discovered that the biafran soldiers hijacked the food materials (which is a common thing by soldiers during war) the purpose of feeding the little ones was defeated,Awo then ordered that the supply should be stopped,so please how did these translate to genocide?if the soldiers took the food that was meant for their children, who is to be blame?Awolowo or the soldiers |
Kelskelly: It's amazing the kind of comments I see on this forum. This country is in real trouble if this is the mentality of our generation. I have just a few points.Thank you my brother, all of a sudden people who never saw a rig before becomes geological experts,am stunned with the response am seeing from people I assumed are Educated, the report didn't say the oil will Finnish ,it only said that the rate of production will reduce by that time,if will continue to produce at the current level of production 2.5 million barrel per day, couple with our "proven reserve",it take almost a million years for organic materials to decompose into crude oil. |
afam4eva: Now, let me chip in some questions and i need your sincere answer:I won't have cross the Niger that's what I would have done differently, crossing the Niger was what changed the war if he had stayed in the eastern region blow up the Brigde then I think he would have being successful, but crossing the Niger and heading for the capital Lagos through Owo over streached his men,and that to me was the real reason why he lost the war,not Awo's policies.staying put to defend his land would have being better, also I don't understand the blockage the prof is talking about, when you are at war with an enemy and you have access to the sea,a boundary with another sovereign entity(cameroun),why can you get food for the people?why should you expect food from the enemy?what if he sent you poisonous food instead of food?Awolowo was and is still the best leader Nigeria never had, look at all his achievements in the old western region, most of them where the best in the world at that time and many where the first in Africa,a man that brought tv station to Africa even before the white men in SouthAfrica and Rhodesia did?,then please imagine what he would have done if he was the one in charge of the whole federation, pleases let him rest and stop blaming him for the war,the then authorities in Biafra shouldnt have crossed the Niger, they should av stayed put and defend their land rather than try to conquer other territory . |
How do I download music and movies on my iPad,I have being trying to download movies and music from torrent sites but it's not working pls help. |
Bakassi does not belong to Nigeria period, the white men demarcated and defined Nigeria,an agreement that was made between two parties, which one was the former and another the latter,we should all know that, with this agreements, the latter supersede the former, bakkasi was part of southern Carmeroon, the argument of human element on the land should have being what we should have fought for at the ICJ not the agreement between the old colonial masters,if we are going to claim bakassi base on human elements, then we should be ready to ceed some other part of Nigeria e.g. Badagary and some part of Adamawa too,the issue of bakassi is a peculiar issue in the whole of the African continent,so my advice is that we should relocate the people, and rest this case or they face destiny,my brothers and sisters the truth hurts.....Bakassi is not ours. |
BetaThings: Tell me the last time a movie of this kind was made on the Pope. I am not into abusing leaders of other religions. That is not part of Islam. But when people who want to do so (on NL!) about your pastors you quickly drape them in the cloak of divinity - "thou shall not judge. Touch not my annointed" etcav seen couple of foreign movies that the pope was mocked, its not a big deal if Jesus, mohammed, the pope any religious cleric was mocked that shouldn't make ppl to go out and protest, going as far as burning an embassy and killing the ambassador,I think you guys, moslems are going just too far on this, beside atheists makes movie mocking the almighty God you guys did not protest it was when a human being was mocked you guys decided to protest, that to me is very sick,FYI my my mom is a moslem and half of my family are,I don't hate moslems but I detest fanatics be it a moslem or a Christian. |
Bsmartt: the united state can help stop the violence against its citizens especially those in the arab world by arresting and interrogating the producer of such film and ask him is motive of producing such a movie.to all the muslims please let's be patient and let the legal steps be taking by the Government.peace4allwhy should they arrest the guy?there should be freedom of expression, just because someone made a movie mocking your prophet you declare war,I think its high time people of other faiths put there foot down and stop pampering Moslems, any slight joke or mockery moslems will go out and kill, that has to stop.infact phuck mohammed so you people can go out and start protesting, rioting, moslems are acting like they don't mock other religion,if they do,its ok but if someone ahould mock them, they av to kill to atone for the blaspheme. |
But we all know that anyone who resist arrest from the authorities(police, army, even lastma and ferma)will be treated the same way same thing happens in Europe and most especially, the us,police there will beat the hell outta you and restrain you if you dare resist arrest. Our danfo bus drivers are too reckless, they drive recklessly, break all the traffic rules with impunity, and in most cases when they break the law and sight an official, they try a getaway and crush anyone on their way. |

I really don't know where this man got his his_story from, from all studies, man started with hunting and gathering.they hunt the animals and they gather crops not breeding animals, before wild dogs and bisons(wild cow) where domesticated man was already tilting the earth to put the grain back in and after the rains he will come back and they will be there. It is a well known fact that farming came before we started breeding animals, the fulanis are a major problem to the entire Nigerian people, remember Usthman Dan fodio, and the way he wage war against the Hausas in the name of religion, the same thing happened in ilorin in the time of Afonja, nomads are very common the world over but the way our people are going about their business raring cattle should be regulated to avoid this kind of conflicts among people.I con mend the cross river state government for repatriating the herdsmen soon as they were sighted in the north of the state, because if there should be conflict now, this same man will say, they av being bringing down their cattle to the Atlantic to drink water from the Sahara so they own the whole of the country. |
Can we just split pls....NIgeria na by force?yes there was Biafra war,but now this is beyond that, let's just split along north and south, for the love of God and Allah, and if the Christians in the north want to move or down south let's accommodate them plssssss. |
franklincn: Is buttom belle a song?Bottom belle is a corruption of bell bottom pants of the late sixties and seventies, which was very popular, just like ladies today are Brazilian and peruvian hair,it was the in thing then. The song was first done by Dr Victor Olaiya I think, because I have heard it before @one of his shows. The lady was just telling the guy to buy her one of them (bell bottom pants)to make her happy(cool my heart). |
prolly an Igbo boy. Their mothers can control them from the grave.
ileke as much as I like you,you shouldn't attack every other tribe like that,am a yoruba guy too and I always believe we are the most accomodating of all the tribes, this thread had nothing to do with wazobia, just give the op what she asked for,an advice. |
Inlight of recent evidence, I change my view on girl D. Boy A should tell girl D[/quote una no go kill persom ooo, this thread is so funny... |

Guy, youse bad!sorry shawty, all the hair you ladies call Brazilian,Peruvian or if Venezuellian or Agertinian tomorrow are Indian and chinesse hair, and its all based on the level of treatment for the manufacturer in china,I have a friend who is an importer. |
For the love of God!can't we all just tell this politicians to shutup?this is 2012, we just had an election last year 2011 and all this career politicians are jobless, there is no more candidate for them to collect money from, pat on the back and promise support only for them to turn around when a higger bidder shows up.I do think all the camps should face their work for now and deliver on their electorial promises, rather than heating up the politi With boko boys around.they all need to concentrate on how to improve the economy, not who the next theif is going to be just a year after election. |
aasog1: Walmart will create employment, but it would still be exploitative like it is in the US.I don't think its a bad idea to bring in a foreign firm into the country, where I have problem with the idea is regulations, all the big multinationals should be compled to sell atleast 60 per cent of their share holdings, this will make us retain 60 per cent of the money they are currently taking to their country,in our economy,it will also stablise the naira.Caution should be taken to make sure that our money bags don't hijack the management of the company, that should be left in the hands of the foreign investors. |
All my heart for droc and ambramovic |
Idowuogbo: Disaster section cindy!say no more, ![]() |

elampiro: City has been spending for three years, and now they manage to win this on goals difference and referee assistance with a red card to QPR and 5 mins added time. The 5 mins allowed QPR to get the other result and they knew they had survived. The rest was a scripted and fixed match, later money will exchange hands for allowing the winning goal. They can keep the cup on loan and clean enough to return it to the owners again.conspiracy theory master, please tell Man city congrat, and look forward for the next season,it was a good game with no foul play, any football fan is surppose to enjoy today's game without any bitterness either you are a Man U fan or not, there is nothing scripted in today's game. |
The only way out is to split the country into two, then am very sure our Northern bro will identify who the boko haram,s are. |

I think she should move on,poor guys are always nice when they don't have money, they pretend to be nice, once they have money it's either they stick with cos they think that they owe you, basing the relationship on self pity and debt etc.when the money comes thats when you see the real character. |
Seun: Why is it letter-boxed?Maybe the op crop the image, but I think it's real the passenger on the power bike was also taking a picture/video of the car on his phone. |
Ganys: Bros...have you forgotten that christianity was introduced in Nigeria under the guise of colonialism. Alright, why do we still have Dean, Rector,Provost and chancellor in our educational system? Arent they chritian jagons.Lawanson is not lawalson, the full meaning is oluwalawanson.Mariam or Marian is a Jewish name and that's the name of Moses sister which you call Musa,he is not an Arab but an Isrealite.if christianity was introduce under the guise of colonialism, was that not better than the way Islam was introduce by Usthman Dan fodio which was with brute force? Also a dean, rector, provost and chancellor are not Christian jargons they are more of adminstrative titles.Am not an advocate for any religion but I think it will be better if a muslim man preach about his religion to me,convince me,make me see why his religion will be the best choice for me rather than force me to accept his own religion. |
slimyem: do men ever reform from womanizing?ell that's a huge mistake you did,no matter how harden a player might be there is alway one that his heart will belong to and he will do everything possible to make her happy,he will definately stop his escapades just because of her...you should have given him a chance cos its the holier than thou guys that turns out to be the bad guy. |
