I'm not in a present relationship at the moment, but what I missed about my ex is the absence of her need to be right. Her peaceful, settled and responsible behaviour. Her homely attributes, and how gracious she revel in her feminity. You'll never see her curse, use profanity, or treat others in anything but good.

Well, I think I need to comment on this thread cos I have faced similar situation.
In my own case, my parents were not chasing me away, but things were so hard at home. We struggled to feed. But at least we managed to feed twice a day. Seeing the situation as the first born, I started conceiving the idea of leaving home cos I felt I needed to relieve my parents off the extra burden of feeding me. After my NYSC, I made calls to some of my relatives and friends, telling them, I would like to stay with them still I could secure a job and gather some extra money to stay on my own (cos I had some savings from NYSC at that time). But to my amazement, everyone was coming up with one excuse or the other, hmmm. Being that I had already made up my mind not to go back to my parents, I used the savings with me to rent a room(dunno if I should call it face me I face u, cos bathroom and toilet was outside ) and the remaining to feed myself pending when I would get a job...
Oboy, after a month, when the money don finish, you needed to see the kind of hunger wey come dey flog me left, right and center on a daily basis. . I was struggling to pay bills too, and I was starting to regret my decision of leaving my parents.
Well to cut the long story short, after three to four weeks of intense suffering, I was called for an interview for a job I applied for, I was given the job and was asked to resume immediately. Feeding and accommodation was taken care of by the company whenever I was on duty, cos I was sent to a location outside the town in which I reside to resume. And since then till now, I have not regretted my decision to move out( apart from when hungry wan kill me initially ooo )

So bro, different strokes for different folks, if your parents are buoyant enough to take care of you, fine you can stay and enjoy the benefit of having well to do parents, but if you look at things, and you see leaving home will really bring a big relief to them, then you should find a way to leave the house oo, cos they would never tell you with their mouth to leave, you are the one who needs to take the initiative.

From my past relationships, if I'm to advice any girl I'll tell them to avoid sex and stand on it. Sex makes you suspicious of your partner. It makes you have unnecessary problems, unnecessary commitments, unnecessary responsibilities.... etc. How many guys would you keep offering your body to just to make them stay?

What makes most guys wants sex is when the financial demand from the girl becomes too much. Most girls will tell you that they're not ready for sex, but will still want you to show dedicated financial commitments towards them. No guy will ever agree to that.

Many girls naturally lack wisdom. Let me share a my own experience here. I met this girl some years ago, she told me her usual no sex till marriage. I asked her if she's a virgin she said no that she dated just one guy who broke her heart and now she has decided to zip up till her wedding night.

To me, I didn't have any problem with that. My problem was that this girl literally flirts on the phone with guys even in my presence. When I confront her she'll tell me they're just toasters that she doesn't have anything with them. She receives calls like a call center agent. Always on Facebook and WhatsApp till even midnight. And to make matters worse she's the urgent 2k type. So tell me would any guy in my shoes honour her request to date without sex....of course not. I had to end the whole stuff cos she wasn't contributing to my life in anyway. Most times I initiate a discussion with her on chat, she can't even sustain it without indirectly telling me one problem or the other she has.

My take...if you don't want sex in a relationship and you don't want to have any problem with your man concerning your stand, then avoid unnecessary request so it won't make him feel that you're owing him. Avoid flirting with other guys on phone and in reality. Concentrate on your relationship by looking for ways to make an impact in his life. It could be through business ideas, could be counseling, could be partnership in business, education...etc. also develop yourself. Let him see that your life is progressing. That you're successful in whatever it is that you're into.

Make him see you as someone he can't do without and he'll stick to you regardless of your no sex stand.

Ever since I came back from school due to the pandemic and ASUU's strike, my younger brother has never shown me an iota of respect. I discovered he is into internet scam, and I cautioned him seriously to desist from such but he never listened.

He mocks me indirectly to my hearing, gathers little children in the neighborhood, tells them all sorts of defamatory things to say about me. Whenever this children see me around the compound, they start making jest of me and calling me all sort of unprintable names.
I warned him sternly to stop all of that else he would regret it. But the more I speak the worse he becomes in disrespecting and defaming my personality in the neighborhood.

I have been emotionally down for some days now due to this issue, but I refused to use violence on him out of anger.

Pls help me what can I do?

Hmmmm....I had this same issue years back and I know that feeling. The thing is that you shouldn't expect him to respect you because you are just his elder brother, like you said, he is into internet fraud and he must have lost every sense of morals. For now that you are still at home, just try to avoid getting into a physical fight with him cos trust me, you might not like the outcome. And don't do that mistake of buying him things now that you guys are not in good terms, it will give him the impression that you are scared of him and want to bribe him with your gifts. Just try to maintain yourself in that house no matter the insults and disrespect till you go back to school....Start planning to live on your own after school and don't ever think of going back to the house to live there.... That is the only way you can get a little bit of your self respect back....Cos with the level he has gotten to ehn... confrontation would not get you anywhere

There was a time I suffered from chicken pox and a lot of my guys were keeping their distance from me, I told my babe to also keep her distance too for that period so that I wouldn't infect her, but she wouldn't hear of such, infact that period she was the one taking care of me, as I had no one around. Well to cut the story short, she also got infected too, and it became my own turn to reciprocate the same kind treatment she bestowed on me...Lol. That incident really cemented the love I had for her.
