astrodome:Apparently, you have no idea of whatever it is you are saying here. According to South Africa's Immigration report of 2017, about 4 million immigrants moved to South Africa between 2015 -2017. The number has gone up beyond that today. Plus, Nigerians top South Africa's immigration list. Saying about 1% of Nigerians are into crime in South Africa means you only chose to cook the figure to support whatever it is you want to tell yourself. The percentage of Nigerians doing illegitimate stuff in South Africa trumps that of Nigerians who have chosen to hustle the right way. Don't come and spew nonsense, please. |
BobiNick:See, it will affect them, no doubt but it is very much needed. |

Nonsense! If this useless human think the best time to play politics is now, then I say to blazes with him and his home! What prevents him from leading Nigerians to closing up South African companies here in Nigeria? This is a national issue and it honestly can't be tackled or resolved using threats. While I condemn the acts of these guys, Nigerians are not the only nationals affected. Plus, this is a ripple effect of the massive criminal activities of majority of Nigerians living in South Africa. Where was Reno when reports emerged about 'Nigerians' caught in the act of trafficking Ghanaians and even South African teenagers? What were his responses or reactions to daily drug reports of Nigerians in Asia and Africa at large? What was his response when 77 Nigerians were apprehended by the FBI for a massive fraud of over $1 billion? Has he ever mentioned anything against or concerning the influx of Nigerians in Ghana doing nothing? Buhari is a disaster and a disgrace to Nigeria but he is not responsible for the many crimes Nigerians commit abroad. And as much as there are unfortunate Nigerians caught in the cross fire, it is inevitable given the crime culture and the get rich quick mentality of some persons. No one would tell me that most Nigerians in South Africans are legit business folks. This is what happens when crime is being reinforced with titles and recognition. The unfortunate part of this whole thing are the innocent Nigerians who have been true to their hustle in South Africa. The so called Xenophobia didn't start today. As a matter of fact, it gained prominence under Jonathan till it died a while. Where was Reno then? The FFK I know would have published a four-paged article laced with superfluous words on why Nigerians are disgracing the country abroad but he is quiet today for obvious reasons while this serial loser of a human with beards like a he-goat thought to make this an ethnopolitical affair. Nonsense! |
2special:You no nothing. The attack isn't so strong yet because of the Nigerian embassy in South Africa. The moment the embassy shuts down, Nigerians lurking in South Africa would be plucked like apples. The embassy, for now, remains a haven for Nigerians in South Africa. Should talks fail, the NG will shut down its embassy in South Africa and advice its citizens to return home. |
First Bank of Nigeria must be leading the pack. First, it was my money some months ago and just last week, my cousin whose was #200k+ just last week. And to think that they do this with reckless abandon and blame it on nothing when you air your displeasure tells you these contract staff guys are not working alone. |
kenwhawha:Do you have any stats to back this claim? Perhaps you'd also love to share why this is happening. I don't approve of what South Africans are doing but this horror is self inflicted. If Nigerians are not selling drugs they are either kidnapping South Africans and using them for prostitution. Cyber criminals are not exempted as well. |
helinues:This isn't the question. It is normal for citizens to seek refuge at their country's embassy in a foreign country. As a matter of fact, it is the responsibility of the embassy to ask its citizens to find their way to its doorstep as that is the only haven available to them at the time. While they might not be able to take everyone. The idea isn't to get a standard Orthopedic mattress and a private room. |
He should be killed, abeg. |
eni4real:Apparently, you are cluessless or you just started watching football yesterday. There is no such thing as 'teenagers' in football so long it is a senior tournament. The teenagers you downplay eliminated Real Madrid in a shocking way. I'm sure you have forgotten it is called the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. Your arguments naturally drain me because they don't make sense. There are tons of highlights I could pick from this Peppersoup and beer parlour logic of yours but I'm sapped as it is. I'm talking comebacks, you're talking nonsense... |
eni4real:Without checking on Google, kindly mention the number of times Messi ended up as second best in the Ballon D'Or vs the number of times he won it. This will show you history does not and will not regard second best or third best in tourneys and awards. Modified at 5:41PM So you could not respond even though you're online. Six minutes wasn't enough to save you just by mentioning the number of times Messi came second best or third best? The bulk of you are what I refer to as' Up Chelsea Boys'. |
Astark:Some of you write like you had your brain fingered before punching your virtual keypad or whatever it is you write with. Has Hazard debuted in La Liga at all? Or the ICC is your definition of La Liga now? Lol! You call a massive comeback a bad game. How about Roma's comeback against the same Barca team which had Messi in it; it is another bad game, yeah? This is why I am very selective at mentioning when it comes to football because the lots of you who bask in your cluelessness do so with shame. Has Barca been scoring, yes or yes? I'm sure you were one of those who claimed Barca had resurrected after match day 2. I have been following the La Liga since 2000 and I know fairly well that goal ratios per game in the league is 3.45 as opposed to what is found in other leagues. A 'horrible striker, winger or forward' in Madrid or Barcelona, averagely would find the back of the net 25-30 times a season while the best English striker, forward or winger for a particular season won't even get to 40. I'm a Madridista but not a fan of Hazard. What I do know however is that he'd have a field day when he shakes off his injury and face the season proper. |
mvem:I am a fan of the La Liga and barely watch the EPL. Goals are easier scored in the Spanish La Liga than anything. However, this is not an attempt at rubbishing the feats of Messi and his performances. We have always known Messi tends to disappear in matches that matter the most, other than the El Clasico. The season before the last, it was a similar comeback loss at the hands of Roma and then almost the same thing against Liverpool. Commentators even mentioned it that Ronaldo would not be in the Barca team and experience such disasters. His Copa outing was much worse. For a touted World Best to score just a goal from the penalty spot with a team as Argentina goes on to tell a lot. My point is, of the three, Messi does not deserve it. This isn't about his La Liga performance but his all-round performance in a football year. The Liverpool comeback and the Copa, I believe, have blighted his chances save the regular PDP antics kick in again. |
Astark:You should be saying this about Messi. He was in the team that fell hard in one of the most intriguing comeback in the Champions League history. His COPA outing was the same as the years before and he only managed to score a goal which was a penalty in the entire tourney. |
drips8:I'm sure it has to do with their laws. The stricter the drug law of a country, the more expensive drugs would be in that country. These criminal elements understand this and wouldn't mind risking their lives for a trip. |
naptu2:The 'Chakai' has changed overtime, largely because most of the visiting dignitaries are not Japanese and don't understand the culture. It would be weird to have them do the Seiza over tea. That alone can kill someone like Buhari who prolly has Arthritis. |
missjo:I don't know who asked you this nonsense. I only pointed out an observation. Reverence or not is not the point. It's like seeing a first class king such as the Ojaja in suit all because he is meeting with presidents and foreign world leaders. |
Heaven knows I read 'emperor Naruto'. God help me ![]() The Japanese culture has been tainted. Why is the emperor not wearing the Sokutai? For a country that has maintained its cultural integrity for decades and even teach its students using the L1, it is strange that its primary symbol of culture is seen in suit instead of the complex Sokutai. |
Queenjuliette:Stop hyperventilating, lady. She called, introduced herself and asked if it was okay to talk, to which he confirmed in the affirmative. That was enough. She might have gone ahead to publish an unconfirmed/unverified story like Linda Ikeji does and it would have degenerated into something else. Stella is just about the only gossip blogger who is true to her craft. I don't get the part about 'someone I don't know'... Stella had made her name before Teddy would ever dream of featuring in the nonsense reality TV show. So what gives? |
NwaAmaikpe:Anything for the likes and comments... iidiot ![]() |
jeff1607:I don't sell electronics but I know for a fact that when a goods or a product is sold to you in perfect condition and you confirm it before the seller that the product is perfect, only to reach out to him or her on DAY 3 that the product is no longer working, he or she reserves the right to claim it got damaged in your care. I got an LG home theater from a regular electronics shop two years ago. I spent nearly an hour testing every speaker it had to make sure there were no stories. Less than a week, the console didn't come on. It was only normal I returned it since I 'just bought it'. Guess what? The semi-literate guy who sold the electronics to me pointed to a very tiny part of the receipt that read 'goods sold in good condition cannot be returned'. I didn't need a prophet to know I'd lose on all fronts in a legal battle. I diplomatically renegotiated, added money to purchase a new one and it has never developed a fault ever since. Whether or not we use electronics after buying them isn't the point. Rather, its condition at the time of buying. Electrical appliances are unpredictable. If I was selling, I'd be brutally honest as possible about the condition of what it is I am selling. If it was in a perfect condition prior to selling and someone returns it afterward, I just might not take it back because I have no idea what the person did to it. The buyer might not be honest. |
Ganiz:'Babs' Fafunwa of blessed memory... |
drips8:It's enough, actually. What does it profit him to make all the money there is to make and lose his family in the end. Home is where a man's heart is. |
Dedetwo:So IPOB is an ethnic group? Tell me what I don't know, please. Am I in any ways surprised you have someone as Kanu who never completed his education and had no life before become 'Supreme leader' leading your likes? Joining words with some of you is like watching Nollywood movies ![]() |
tsfisheriesm:LMAO! So you are actually doubting it? ![]() |
James4bright:Kanu was still battling carry overs at Nsukka when Sowore was neck deep into student unionism and activism. I doubt there are many Africans who can stand shoulder to shoulder with Sowore when it comes to looking a government in the eye and damning the consequences. Of all persons, Kanu doesn't even come close. Not by a mile. |
Beverlyjean:My dear, 300 days in office and nothing to show for it other than constantly chasing your predecessor. That is witchcraft at its finest. Even Buhari was attacked for running after and blaming Jonathan for the mishaps that plagued his administration. Almost all South Western governors who got into office the same time as Ihedioha have been in the news for one policy, feat or another. Rochas isn't clean, no doubt but chasing your predecessor this way rather resort to using the law is an indication that Ihedioha is not interested in governance. Imo state is not in any way blessed with good leaders. |
kinglee007:Lesson: Whether or not Osas is a fraud isn't the point. For all it's worth, you are part of the entire thing, largely because you fronted for the 'company', meaning you trust its products. The fact that you didn't tell the truth from the get go still makes you a part of the whole thing. I know for a fact that people try to avoid middlemen but you should always tell people the truth. You that to potential sellers. |
dialinn:But you never mentioned you had gotten your money back. In a previous post, you claimed the laptop was collected from you and your money had not been returned whereas you went with the police to collect your money and you even sent the so called middleman your account details on WhatsApp just so you could collect the 3k he made from the sales. One thing I have come to realize about buying and selling is that problems aren't often with sellers in some cases. You weren't really honest in your narrative and to think that you claimed you were yet to be paid until the guy cleared the air on that goes a long way to tell your person. You tested the laptop and it was good but developed a fault on the third day. To be fair, the problem must have been from the laptop but the singular admittance you attested to about the laptop being okay before the delivery man left is enough to make a case against you. Electronics are unpredictable. Regardless, I'd say you are not really a honest person. Your narratives prove this. The middleman has his fair share of the blame but you an not entirely innocent with the recent outburst. Sellers, it pays to be brutally honest. Not all so called buyers are genuinely interested. Some would rather buy want to buy and find every reason to have you demonized. It isn't worth it and the truth doesn't hurt. |

The best thing is to recall your own ambassador from south Africa, close down the embassy indefinitely and give the south Africa ambassador to leave your county within 24hours cos you can't guaranteed his safety and the safety of south Africa business in Nigeria.
