Stricker321:
My question to the minorities is this, when will you get this resource control you have been asking for since the days of your fathers? The north will never allow resource control as long as crude oil is still flowing from your lands.

The only time you will get resource control is after the north must have lifted the last barrel of crude oil from your land. At that time, the minorities will be the greatest losers. You will be left with your ravaged lands and dead ecosystem while the north will simply move on. At that point, they wouldn't even mind if Nigeria disintegrates. We all know that one nijeriya is because of crude oil.

You guys should think. Use your heads. Ken Sarowiwa was executed because he was asking for Justice.

Everyday you keep saying that you are for one united Nigeria but want resource control but I can guarantee you it will never happen. Now is the time to take your destiny into your hands when the crude oil still has little value.

A word is enough for the wise.
I count your words as rants because you clearly don't understand the true strength of the core South. Oil is an advantage but never her strength. Ab initio, palm oil and rubber in commercial quantity was our strength before the entrance of oil. Should oil dry up today, which I pray for, we would revert to those days. Not forgetting accesses to the oceans in the region, it would be a different ball game as trade would definitely take a different turn. Why everything is beat down the way it is is because the government, for certain reasons, thought to bottleneck importation routes, with Lagos being the major, if not the only efficient one at the moment.

The losers of a regional government would be those who would solely depend on the seaports of others as well as their market.

About taking 'destinies into your hands', I sincerely hope you are not referring to raising dusts and causing mayhem and then fleeing when the heat is turned up? Two different persons have tried this and they ended up disappearing. The first came back a stronger Nigerian after sacrificing lives while the other is rumoured to be hiding.

this people are just so backward, hw can we be repeating same thing over and over again.. parasites they are.
GEJ was and is a weakling. He could have run the government the way he deemed fit had it been he had the balls to. Regardless, our only shot would be to support someone from the South, irrespective of the part of the South he is coming from.

Another thing to note is that Jonathan allowed himself to be frustrated. It would have been a different ball game if he actually drew his own closer rather than lustre after strange, unproductive folks who ended up going mum the moment he lost. The Northern game of numbers have been from time immemorial and it seems to be working amidst all things as it is clear that we have only one majority in Nigeria and that is the North.

The thought of a Southern president would no doubt sicken the North, but it would be the perfect advantage we have towards regionalism and resource control. A Southern President would see the North kick and probably reject unifying with other parts of the country. That alone is capable causing them to sit and dialogue over regional governments.

I think I find the word 'referendum and restructuring' to be conflicting. However, this has been my call as well from the outset; let us adopt the United States model and allow for resource control. Each state and region would grow at its own pace while the centre would be relieved.

Unfortunately, the parasitic North wouldn't allow this because their Governors and the president have been robbing Peter to pay Paul. They are more interested in seeing that they don't lose out from their proceeds of the oil rather than see that it is about time Nigeria develops.

I just pray the North would lose its grip in the 2019 elections to anyone in the South such that they would be in a hurry to allow for regional restructuring and resource control.

What is wrong with these Nigerian anyway, I am Nigerian but many of my country folks are a disappointment. According Prof, Wole Soyinka Who felt ashamed sharing the same Nationalities with sort of Humans.

How does beating up another country's police force, One that accommodates you, a form of justice? No matter the injustice there are ways these thing can resolved without displaying such disregard for authority.

If it too hard on ya'll in south please return to your Homes in Nigeria!
In all honesty, you clearly lack sense. So accommodating Nigerians translate or warrant that you fell them like logs when you feel like?

You have no reason being a Nigerian because the average Nigerian is neither given to fiefdom nor servitude. Apparently, you have been sold over a plate of porridge.

My joy is that the South African government has kept mum over this issue as the death toll climbs weekly. A time would come when South African companies in Nigeria would either be brought to their knees through violence or force.

The South African people and her government does not deserve a single regard from Nigeria and Nigerians.

No! No!! No!!! India and China have never been as passionate about football as Nigerians are. India is crazy about Cricket, China about Kung-fu or some other martial art for beating people up.

Nigeria has always been crazy about football.
We've had some superb football players in our Nation's history but that has not in any translated into being passionate about football as the South Americans.

The Nigerian football world should have been a force in world football had it been we are as passionate as South America and Europe.

We are still learning the art. This is why we produce a superstar with nearly ten years intervals, whereas the likes of Brazil have starts ready to take over from the other. Until then, we are nothing but football lovers who are not passionate about the game.

Everyone has a past. While some might get lucky with taking it to their grave, others cannot just control how theirs leak because its intended target is not one nor ten persons.

Regardless, you would pose as a huge problem to the country with the way you think. She's but one person and the difference between you both is the popularity she enjoys. She's the one in the video, quite alright, and other politicians might end up using this as a smear campaign tool. Her past is hanging on the Internet right now and it won't be going away anytime soon.

Trump's past nearly cost him the American seat. Tinubu's background was capitalised on by Jonathan all thanks to a dedicated documentary about Asiwaju himself. Not to judge her with the things she has done in her past, Nigeria is the way it is because the wrong people are leading the right ones.

Iceland's population is less than that of some suburbs in Lagos e.g. Ikorodu, Alimosho, Ojo.

Nigeria should have won the World Cup by now.
We've had our glory days but that does not mean that we are that horrible as a country when it comes to football. Interestingly, we share a similar fate as Argentina when it comes to team football. We have the qualities but playing together as a team often time seem like a Herculian task.

That said, the size of a nation does not determine whether they would win the World Cup or otherwise. Uruguay is the first country to win the World Cup in 1930, and they did so with a population of 75,000 people. Your defence might be 'well... the cup wasn't as structured as it is now' but the ready response to that is that there were far 'better' nations with a better population.

Going by your assertion, we might need to wait for China and India before we dream of winning the World Cup.

in all this your emotional and fear laden mumblings you've not told me how Nigeria can withstand trade or arms embargo rather you assume 1967 will repeat itself on a platter not knowing that quite a lot has changed. events of the past few months have shown that the world is seriously watching Nigeria and the UK and us support of dialogue shows no country will support Nigeria in any military solution. you also assume Biafra will not get arms if push comes to shoves. arms are scattered world over and fly into Nigeria in thousands. if book haram without any serious backup could wipe your army then u need to stop boasting and understand that times have changed. millions died of starvation in 1967 but was shielded maximally by the media but a future video from Aba last month got
the world talking.
I read this severally but could not make sense out of it.

Perhaps you are just too myopic to know the world would not sell arms in the face of impending war. Here's the harsh reality you need to take away from this post; if the U.S refuses to sell to Nigeria, Russia would without stress, just as anti-American countries would. Is it any surprising the the only statements that have been made by the UK on this is nothing but Kanu's citizenship and not on the purported killings per se?

Of course, you would get arms but it would be a replay, another auto restart for you guys to start from the rubbles. Ojukwu had a shot in the war because some parts of the oil region were mapped to his then region. The same does not apply today and except you have something to trade for aids, a repeat would be swift and would be done away with in months.

The British media reported the starvation of the Old Eastern Region during the war and it was sent by Michael Nicholson and his crew who got a bit of support for the hungry folks. So I don't understand your 'maximally shielded' warped narrative from.

Just so you know, the South East is surrounded by other Nigerian states. You were favoured with the Old Eastern region mapping. The same is not applicable today. Until you learn to channel your grievances through your political leaders, your rants come off as that of a someone who needs air to breath. By design, you are all terrorists now. Learn from Catalonia and get people who matter to voice out.

Fake news, but if there is any iota of truth in it then this government is being very biased. Have they pursued Boko Haram sponsors with this kind of ferocity?
I doubt the authenticity of the news. About Boko Haram, the Northern politicians alongside Buhari know those who are behind the funding of the group. What they have done is to reduce the flame in the region and possibly wait for 2019 when the South would slug it out with the North.

So long they don't kill others from parts of the country, particularly those from the South, I would not lose sleep.

continue consoling yourself with some feel statements. you should bother to ask why your govt is troubled. the answer is that most of the nations you compare with Nigeria are relatively dependent and can withstand sanction and isolation for a long period of time. Iraq is not bothered about Kurds leaving and has vowed never violence because they the west is interested in Kurdistan. turkey are the ones pushing them.moreover, any military by Iraq will can lead to arms embargo which will affect their fight against Isis.what Spain did is only unacceptable in European standard. even if they ever choose military option, or ever get sanctioned, they won't be hurt like a regular broke third world. ordinary two months of attack k from avengers your country started hybernating in a recession. what of if she suffers isolation or total arms embargo? where will you get arms unlike Spain that have domestic arms production. check Venezuela under a month of sanction- citizens are begging for food. all countries are not equal and Nigeria is among the least in the economic ladder.
This agitation naturally makes you guys less intelligent. Apologies, really, but it's the truth. The Biafran project and the IPOB cause is a strictly Igbo affair. The Avengers are of the core South. Indulge me, please, how are Igbos related to the Avengers?

As much as you want the world to fight your battles, you might need to raise a more dangerous ragtag group that would blow up the Niger Bridge and cripple economic activities in the East before you guys might be taken serious.

Besides, should war break out today, the Nigerian state would generously get weapons and mercs to cut to to size the operations of the opponent, regardless of who they are. You need to ask Ojukwu how he was roundly defeated despite controlling the then oil.

Finally, treat yourself to the stance of the EU on Catalonia, the submission of the American government the same, the stance of Turkey of Kurdistan, the stance of Iraq and Iran on the same, the stance of the American government on Texas and finally, the stand of the British government on Biafra. You just might be amazed.
