Uniquewise:I bought the same from the seller a few months ago hence why it was easy for me to spot the anomaly in price. You are currently creating the difference in litres now which you could have done in your post but never did. Isn't that the BAC-200? I can't tell what litre mine is but it is exactly the same as the one in the picture. If it is, how then is it different from the one you listed for sale? For the record, be rest assured you don't have an enemy in me. If you think I am antagonizing your business because I have spotted some 'ridiculous' pricing over time, then I am sorry. Regardless, it doesn't mean I will stop. However, I will do it fairly. The same seller Iisted was the person I bought from and my 'few months ago' was only less than 3 months ago. First you implied I probably didn't buy then implied it was 10 litres, which is needless if you ask me. I see no reason why you should be on the defensive over this. I would have replied with prices from Jiji or Binatone Nigeria if I were in your shoes. That would have easily added credibility to your price and possibly cemented the fact that I bought the 10-litre version. |

Uniquewise:Brand new: 49,800 (approximately 50k). Your clearance: 42,000. I bought this from some months back from the same seller on Jiji months ago. 'Clearance' is just by 7,800 difference. A used item on clearance sales Toh.

Busybeehf:You are thief sha. You scammed someone and you are telling lies in order to ward off suspicions. The same you currently created a thread to sell PayPal funds. Meanwhile, you used the number said number: 07061444857 as far back as 2020 and 2019 on the forum. Dominique, Tabbaz, this lady, if at all she is a female, is a scammer.
|
Kacism:Even moderators are tired. Some of the scammers on the forum have gotten so bold that they threaten their victims. If it isn't, what modalities has Nairaland put in place to curb this? Dominiqu.e is a moderator but human and I believe what she does is of her own volition. The said Ekene is not even up to a fraction of the regular scammers who defraud and still go about doing their business. Unfortunately, the absence of anti-scam measures by Nigerian banks and the CBN makes it easier for most of them to walk away after being defrauded. You can open a bank within minutes which gives these degenerates an advantage. Pay a trip to this thread https://www.nairaland.com/3430558/scam-alert-dont-victim-updates and see how many Nairalanders fall prey to scammers on a daily basis. I almost got ripped by someone I had been doing business with of over a 100k. Knowing I have the means to get my money back, it was all plea and it took nearly three weeks. I pulled up his details using his number and showed everything to him before he realized I was different. The same person did it to another person recently. Fraud on this forum as nearly as old as the forum itself. Well meaning people don't like it but it doesn't take out the fact that it is prevalent on here. If I am not mistaken, I was one of the earliest persons if not the one to suggest the use of escrow on here and I specifically mentioned wese90. This was after a deal went sour here. Fraud is normal on Nairaland and as much as possible, safeguarding oneself and one's money comes with being conscious. |
081087n:I don't understand; like you want people to suspend their sales or declare a thread holiday because someone got scammed? Fraud takes place everyday on Nairaland and unsuspecting folks will most likely fall prey. It can't be helped. If anyone offers to be your escrow on WhatsApp, send him down here to confirm his identity and ask people if he is safe to deal with as an escrow. I trust people easily and can transfer money to someone without battling an eyelid just to buy something. All of that changed the day I checked the fraud thread Tabbaz and Dominique manages. It can't be said enough, scammers will start paying attention to this thread now since one of them pulled out a rabbit from a hat. They will try to play the distance game and would want to force unsuspecting buyers to send money first. Some might even agree to escrow but would ask that you send them the waybill fare to move the item because they are broke. Before dealing with an escrow, ask questions, do your due diligence, look through their posts, run their numbers (account number and phone number) on Nairaland and Google then settle for a popular escrow if you are convinced. Be sure to state the terms of refund or rejection before going ahead and most importantly, drink water. What happened is unfortunate but scam is the new normal on Nairaland. So long you are well informed and not greedy, you will be fine. Business must go on as usual. |
This is not news. Some persons prayed he contracted the virus and died. That is to tell you how terrible Buhari is as a ruler. Ironically, wicked people tend to live longer than good ones. I still don't understand the logic behind this to date. |
A dangerous trend has been playing out for a while now and it has reared its ugly head all over again. Several Northerners including politicians and Islamic religious leaders have compared Boko Haram to MEND who "enjoy" the government's amnesty. It was only recently that the president's "I will treat them in the language that they understand" was taken as a genocidal threat towards Igbos since it was spoken within the context of IPOB, Igbos and the South East. Ironically, the president's body language toward herdsmen, bandits and Boko Haram is totally the opposite when juxtaposed with that of the IPOB. Several times, the president did nothing but issued warnings to these groups. Examples can be seen below: 1. Buhari to bandits: Your menace’ll be addressed soon 2. Buhari warns on killings by bandits in Zamfara 3. Nigeria’s Buhari Warns Rising Banditry a Threat to Food Security 4. Stop pushing me, I can crush you all – Buhari to bandits 5. Buhari warns bandits to stop kidnapping, killing poor people 6. You Are Not Powerful Than My Govt, Buhari Warns Bandits The list of warnings the president issued to bandits in the space of 4 months is well over 20—despite killing defenceless Nigerians and even men of the Nigerian army. It was almost a case of a powerless president against a mighty insurgence. About three weeks ago, bandits shot down a military jet in Zamafara with the pilot barely escaping. That, ideally, is an act of war but as usual, nothing was heard from the government. Everyone pretended and looked on like it was the new normal. Sheikh Gumi and Isa Pantami have all spoken in defence of Boko Haram and banditry respectively. Old but indicting recordings released months ago had Pantami weeping passionately during an Islamic lecture that then government was killing their brothers (Boko Haram) like pigs (sic) and even called for the need to defend them. It was old and Pantami was supposedly young and ignorant at the time according to excuses. In 2020, the Senate Committee rejected the rehabilitation of repentant Boko Haram members but the government rehabilitated them regardless while some Northerners likened them to MEND. They were soon released into society after being 'deradicalised' but it wasn't long before they went back to their old ways. As if we have not learnt a thing, the military lately, has been claiming that its recent offensive approach against insurgency has resulted in massive resignation of members of ISWAP and Boko Haram from their groups. What's interesting is that these unlearned individuals strategically held cardboards with various inscriptions. https://i1.wp.com/www.naija247news.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/5E273B48-09E0-4972-8AF1-55075B72E42A.png?fit=1008567&ssl=1 1. Do we need to ask who wrote those inscriptions on cardboard for them? 2. Should we ask how they got markers and cardboards to write assuming they are formally educated? 3. What happens tomorrow when they relapse again if they don't get their regular supply of guns, drugs and young girls to rape and sleep with? 4. Are we to bank on their deradicalisation and believe those in charge mean well? 5. Why is the military allowing these groups to surrender instead of taking them out? 6. This is not an attempt at whataboutism but why treat Sunday Igboho as an enemy of the State when ISWAP and Boko Haram have crippled activities in Northern Nigeria for nearly a decade? 7. Why not treat ISWAP and Boko Haram equally as IPOB and the ESN are currently being treated?

The prison official went to collect 'his share'. How do you singlehandedly move a murder suspect out of prison premises without the escort of other prison officials? |
darmilolah:All given out already. Sorry. |
affordablefads:I believe you had a mail pending since yesterday morning which you probably haven't replied to as at yesterday evening when I checked. I naturally don't like waiting and love things to run in real-time. The idea of having to wait for nearly 12 hours to make an inquiry via email is tasking for me. I understand you probably do not want your number out for privacy reasons. I would also understand if it is a one-time sale but if it isn't, you might have to explore other avenues of attending to potential customers without hours of waiting. |
lilachiever:I read his "loan" thread some days ago. Ideally, I wouldn't even dream of trusting someone as that even if I was a newbie to the forum. |
Bobbyunitedfc:How did you arrive or measure "80%". It is hard enough that scammers are parading the thread, don't make it hard for genuine sellers in Abuja or Port Harcourt. True, scammers might try to make sure they create a phantom distance between you and them in other to force your hand and pay before getting an item but claiming escrows bolt with money is the height of it. The stupid Ekene who scammed someone paraded himself as an escrow. Maybe you are referring to him as genuine but he never was. Perhaps there are other escrows on Nairaland but if it is not WESE90, you are setting yourself up to be scammed. |
Not sure I have compassion or pity on anyone who is scammed on this thread after my needless epistle on how to avoid being scammed or defrauded. USE WESE90 FOR ESCROW, EKENE THAT IS DESPERATELY IN NEED OF MONEY INTERESTINGLY BECAME THE ESCROW PERSON. @femiblacky, post details of the "escrow" whom you paid to as well as his phone number. |

DeltaBachelor:Someone already made a request. Sorry, boss. |
Holluwahgbenga:Someone made a request already. Sorry. |
homez01:Choi! Someone who follows me made an instant request when I made that post and I already promised the person. Sorry, boss. |
lilachiever:Please send me an email on sanchez01s@yahoo.com and I will have a dispatch send to you, hopefully before the week runs out. |
lilachiever:And you have one already, boss. Please let me know if you are within Lagos. |
Lusola15:This particular Mifi is sold for 12k in Airtel shops and they come with 25GB of data valued at N6,000. Take out 6k worth of data and that automatically makes the brand new one N6,000 in Airtel showrooms and shops. Yours shouldn't even go more than 5k if I am being generous. I have two of these collecting dust but without batteries. I plan on giving them out. |
affordablefads:This is a good deal. However, I don't understand the idea of having to first write a cover letter before getting a number to deal in real-time. Not having to post a number is a red flag. Not implying you are not genuine but don't complicate the communication process for people. Let people do their due diligence with your phone number. Besides that, it will be cumbersome for you yourself and could kill off interest easily. Please drop a number, I need to get one. |
yehmy:Insulted like some teenager without making a sense only to tell lies? You asked someone to go to the bank and make a report, guaranteeing that the money will be refunded: yehmy:And even when someone tried to explain that messaging the recipient's bank does not work, you insisted still and claimed it is doable with this: yehmy:And when I took you up on it, you cited an epistle, claiming your "friend" successfully pulled it off because the bank turned judge, judge and escrow exclusively for him until the person who supposedly defrauded him agreed to pay back. Your story, to me, is bullsh!t because it is very easy to cook up stories in defence like this. On average, about 30 Nairalanders get defrauded on a weekly basis. A trip to the fraud thread reveals this and not one, since the creation of the thread in 2016 have been able to get either their bank or the recipient's to do a refund but you have a friend. However, I think you left out the part where this your phantom friend possibly knows the person offline or through someone. I understand the need to resort to insulting but it is all a ruse. Beyond the watery explanation and cheap tactics of putting up a disjointed rejoinder laced with 80% of insult, I just hope you won't be stup!d enough to think or convince someone that they can get their money back just by writing to a bank's support. In some cases, it is better to swallow the L in peace and move on rather than let out a rebuttal from 4G fingers when the brain is actually on EDGE. Enjoy the rest of the night. |
yehmy:This is misinformation at its highest. I wanted to keep quiet over this but misinforming people about possible refunds when you have been scammed is not only hilarious but unbelievable and it makes me wonder whether or not you've experienced it up close before. If you are scammed by an someone, the best you can do is to call their bank and share details of the transaction. This won't help you get a refund. As a matter of fact, banks are not authorised to carry out transactions from customers' accounts without authorisation or permission from either the customer or the government and some of its agencies. At best, a bank can assist prevent the recipient or scammer from using the account until they visit one of the bank's branch but you will need to go all out to be able to do this. Banks like Kuda and a few others issue disclaimers and make you confirm you could be sending money to a scammer, particularly for non-beneficiaries. The moment you confirm the transaction and it is sent, you are on your own from thereon out. It is worse when the recipient has withdrawn the money already. So long you initiated the transaction from your end and confirm that the account number tallies with the account name before sending, there's little or nothing the bank can do to help you realise a refund. For transactions over a million Naira, the EFCC can step in and do all the waka on your behalf. If the money in question is in the range of 50k - 500k or 800k, the police through legal means can place a post no debit (PND) on the person's account. Before falling victim to a fraud, do your due diligence, insist on escrow, where possible or require a physical meeting. |
NoToPile:A gaming laptop is a laptop designed specifically to play games. Not just any games as a matter of fact. And yes, people, particularly westerners buy them specially to play games. However, creatives also use them for different tasks such as coding, video editing, graphics design, etc. Because of their powerful CPU, GPU and dedicated graphics card, they handle resource intensive software or apps flawlessly whereas the regular laptops could freeze on launching some of these programmes, apps or software. I remember I used to have a laptop that would freeze for up to three hours when I launch a particular software then and it still won't open the app in then end. Yes, gaming laptops are well built, sturdier and are more rugged than our regular laptops. Creatives mostly buy them in Nigeria for certain tasks since it keeps their frustration in check. A sizeable number primarily use them for games. |
This is a very disgusting read. There is no denying that the DSS is a lapdog and the government's oppressive tool. However, seeing that a pro-Nigerian group convener wrote this tells you everything you need to know about how a draconian arm of the government is desperate to look good before the public. If the writer cites Boko Haram, why is the DSS mute on Miyetti Allah and Fulani Herdsmen? Not a single arrest has ever been made yet these folks boldly threaten sitting governors that there won't be peace in their states for opposing open grazing. I believe in being wicked and owning up. The DSS shouldn't pretend to be a friend of the masses. It is not. So many Nigerians have been treated unjustly by the DSS and all it took was for one nonsense well placed individual to call and order them around. We know the DSS is a lap dog like the EFCC and it is highly partisan. This sponsored post to make the DSS look clean tells of their desperation. A Nigeria without an ethnic jingoist and a so-called secret service waiting to do his bidding is what the country needs. The DSS is pro-government. Period. |
Mrluv:Lol. It is normal. I could go into details about their features but it might be confusing. Easy ways to recognise gaming laptops are: 1. Keyboard light 2. Big air vents (bigger than regular laptops). 3. Different Exterior (generally, they have slightly different looks from the regular ones. However, some have distinct looks that you just can't miss). 4. Sufficiently powerful GPU (graphics processing unit) and CPU (I'm sure you know this). Minium Requirements A good gaming laptop should have a minimum of i5 processor, 8gb ram, 2gb dedicated graphics card. This is the minimum criteria. Now, the more money you invest, the better thing you’ll get. With more money comes more features like, RGB keyboard, QHD display, higher refresh rate, good heat management etc. Note that some dubious folks can easily tag an i3 processor as a gaming laptop just to sell their market. If you are patient and have some decent cash, you can build yours yourself; right from the casing to the screen, to cards, etc. I have a gaming desktop that I built from scratch and it is worth it. Preferable gaming laptop brands: MSI & Acer. These brands are easily within reach, even for a decent budget. A dream should be Dell Alienware (the least you'll get is about N950k). |
pafo:Not sure I have an idea. I would like to believe this is a software minimum requirement interface, correct? If yes, look above the requirements when getting a PC in this range. If you intend to use as a gaming laptop as well, it is best you look above the Intel GMA x4500. You could play some high graphics game on it but on low in-game settings. The x4500 graphic card, in my opinion is a weak graphic card. |
GRACEGLORY:This is so wrong! Success is relative and it is not necessarily tied to money. |
Mrluv:Except you see someone who deliberately wants to let go or except you are buying from Yahoo boys who want to sell because they are broke, I am afraid your budget can't get you a good gaming laptop. Something in the range of 90-100k should get you a fairly decent one. |
lekjons:Very true. However, given the option between Nvidia and AMD, I'll advise anyone interested to run away from AMD. Their processors as well as their drivers mean one is deliberately buying problems. My fair share of AMD processors and drivers over the years has shown me that you should avoid them if you want to live long. Some argue that AMD new generation processors do not exhibit the same nightmares as that of their older generation's and that their current drivers are more stable but still won't fail to hint you to go for Intel with dedicated GPU if the purpose is for heavy gaming, coding and editing which are resource intensive. It is all about cost. If that isn't a question, then AMD should best be avoided. |
