It is not a gender war and should never be. There is no denying that most of the girls involved in these act are poorly bred but the fast rising count is worrisome. I hate to knock anuoreangel because it would look like I am antagonizing her business. She is on my WhatsApp list as a matter of fact and we have chatted a couple of times but she has no idea it is I.

In that context, "good quality" is ambiguous and ambiguity leads to vagueness.

If I ask you how good a product you're selling is, that is me asking about its quality, durability and honest opinion, from a seller to a buyer. The response should have been clear as dew rather than masked under an ambiguous response. Plus, she's a seller, right? Her definition of "good quality" is subjective since her aim is to sell. The buyer didn't need to wear the shoe for a day in order to tell the shoe's quality and outrightly reject it.

If the seller is coming back to state that the buyer wants an original sneakers for 10k plus, that for me, puts me off. She knows the product she's selling. Why not state as is? Why market under an established, global and reputable brand when she ought to add the word "clone"?

PS: I was trying to get some female sneakers from her as baby girl needed them and I recall anuoreangel didn't have what I wanted at the time. I will still get some female sneakers if she advertises good ones but unsuspecting folks should be made to understand that they are clones.

Look at it this way;

1. He prolly doesn't know the cost of an original NIKE sneakers because I doubt he would be comfortable buying an original for 12k.
2. He ASKED the seller from the outset that he wanted an ORIGINAL and he was assured he'll get one.
3. The seller lied knowing the NIKE is a clone but still claimed they were original anyways. THAT'S DECEPTION.
4. That we all love quality does not mean we all know brands and prices.
5. That you ordered from her and found it to be good does not mean it isn't a clone.

The point is, the buyer asked he wanted an original. "Oh, sorry. You can't get a decent, original NIKE sneakers for a starting price of $150. These are clones and they are not bad either. As a matter of fact, it is difficult to tell them apart from the original on the feet." If I was a seller of such product, that would be my response to anyone who comes to me asking if my clones are original.

Either of two things would play out in the end; "oh, okay. Thanks for your honesty. I wanted original and thought yours were" OR "I sincerely appreciate your honesty. Let me order one for a start and see the quality. If I am convinced, I'll other another for my wife." It would have been very easy and smooth but she lied for what purpose?

Just because you patronised her and think the quality is decent does not absolve her of deception here. Nothing stops an aggrieved buyer of this nature from getting a full refund instead of bragging that money isn't your problem when you probably have spent 2k plus off the money and given the original seller his or her own actual cost.

I was once swindled in this manner at a sharp Igbo man shop who sold me a cloned LG home theatre as original for the price of an original. The dude thought he could run me street and said I am not subject to a refund as stated on his receipt. It wasn't until soldiers got to his shop to pick him that he started referring to me as his best friend.

Some buyers are just ignorant or unaware of market trends. That does not make them foolish or dumb. I believe the fellow has learnt from this episode. For the clowns pitching their tent with the deceptive seller and blaming the buyer for being greedy, ask yourself if this issue would have come up if the seller outrightly stated that the products were clones.

It is very deceptive to include *Original* in the description of an item that's not Original, if it's not from the actual manufacturer, then it should never be tagged as Original, and make una dey use actual pictures of your item quality, rather than the pictures of higher quality of imitation you usually use.

To the buyer
There is no way you would see Original Nike for that amount, even the ones I sell for 20-35k are not store original.
Perhaps you had no idea of the cost of the original was why you were expecting actual Nike Store quality.

Bless you! The OP probably had no idea how expensive Nike products are, which isn't exactly the issue. Anuoreangel, on her part, is a long time seller here but the problem here is the quality. She expected him to probably know it is a knock off of the ORIGINAL NIKE while he expected the ORIGINAL for the same amount.

The deception here is the word 'ORIGINAL' since the OP claimed he asked and was assured of getting an ORIGINAL only to get a knock-off. Ideally, I see no reason why he would not get a full refund since his earlier stated expectation was not met.

I have seen some wristwatches being advertised on here and I know they are clones of the original but then, I found it intriguing that the seller never bothered to include "CLONE" in his/her ad for once. Rather, he/she uses names of popular brands the clones model after.

Clone or original, people will patronize within their means. The deception is unnecessary.

Yeah, she tried or so she said. I don't have much friends, say two know friends and that's it. She got through to them but they couldn't help. The idea was to go away for as long as possible but I turned on my phone out of curiosity only to see tons of Glo missed call notifications which came in as text messages. I got texts from her and my friends as well and they influenced my going back because I had to return their calls.

In situations like that, I find it very easy to leave the environment for a while rather than stay back, become tempted and get physical. Not me.

Honestly, I didn't bother going through this thread because of the ridiculous comments on the first page. This is my response to your questions:

1. I hardly get triggered or feel disrespected in a relationship but here are some things I take personal and consider to be disrespectful.

a. Abuse of any kind: Heaven knows I won't give any lady a second chance. An abuser is an abuser and they can't change, whether male or female. I have been with someone who doesn't see anything wrong with verbally abusing people and interestingly, she never directed it at me for a day but I knew it was over the day I found out this dark side. We stayed a while longer but that was it.

b. Yelling or shouting: I enjoy communication a lot and would rather the other person communicate meaningfully and pour out their heart in a 12—hour discussion rather than raise their voice at me. The moment that happens, I will not only put the person in their place, I could leave the house for them. I recall being with a temperamental person one time and she yelled during a mild argument. I just took one of my shuttle bags, picked some clothes and went to hotel to stay for 2 days. Unfortunately, I am unforgiving about these kind of things. The moment it happens once, I will continually judge and find it impossible to erase the event out of my head.

c. Cheating: I consider cheating to be an act of 'see finish'. As with the first, I won't give any lady a second chance. I am of the opinion that cheating is a nature and people who indulge in it can't change. I ended two relationships the day I found out. Other than trust issues, I sincerely don't see how low someone could think of me so much so to lump and 'manage' me with other males (or females).

2. This is weird but I doubt kids can make me remain in a chaotic marriage. I won't cope or tag along in the name of kids and I won't have kids grow up in a home that could traumatise them tomorrow. I love the idea of a home and a peaceful family, just as most people but I will never wish anyone remain in a relationship or marriage particularly when they are being abused, violated and subjected to domestic violence or abuse.

If it is not working, it isn't. If it is workable, then fine. If it isn't, let everyone go their separate ways, but not without first discussing how the children will be managed.

A note to sellers to help them sell faster; always add extra details of the product you're selling. Doing this reduces empty inquiries and increases the possibility of getting your items sold at a go.

1. If you are listing a mattress, include the brand and size. Don't just say you have a mattress for sale only for someone to realise you are selling a student mattress.

2. If you are listing a laptop, including the full specs, issues and backup strength or whatever is left.

3. If you are listing a washing machine, microwave, oven or griller, ALWAYS INCLUDE THE BRAND & SIZE IN LITRES. These sizes matter a lot when buying.

4. If you are listing a TV for sale, always include the display type or tech type. Examples: LED, LCD, OLED, QLED, etc. It is not enough to state you are selling a 32-inch LG TV.

5. If you are listing a phone for sale, always include the phone's specifications, condition and battery strength.

6. Always include your prices instead of asking people to write formal letters on WhatsApp before this can be revealed.

Here's what the above does to your items:

1. It adds greater value and respect to your item, particularly if it is of good quality.

2. It saves you the stress of too many messages without patronage.

3. It shows you know what you want to sell and divulging information means you are honest.

4. It makes only serious buyers contact you.

Used or not, full disclosure on the item you are trying to sell and the full details will help buyers make informed choices.

He's a middleman. I'm sure the owner must have told him to sell for 15k, but he has to make his profit, not taking into cognisance that by selfishly adding his 5k it makes the price of the item exactly the same or almost the same price as a brand new one.

I do not doubt this one bit. His prices have always been outrageous for clearance sales. I recently changed apartments and bought lots of new stuff. If I am to start quoting all of the things he has been listing as clearance sales, he would have no option but to claim I want to destroy his business.

Just to set the records straight, these are prices given me by the owners, I don't fix prices for them. Some of them are adamant about the prices they want for their stuff. Most times, I omit these ones from the ads. There are many items I don't even bother to advertise due to the fact I feel their prices are not Clearance Friendly, that is my prerogative.

That said, please let's be civil while calling people out; if you feel the prices are not good, make your point and move on. Don't make it a point to talk down on vendors please.

Let me pretend to believe you for a minute. However, there should be a simple trick to how price tags are slapped on used items. Current cost, condition of the item, financial state of the person selling (which partly forms the purpose for selling) and WHERE the seller listed the item to be sold. As a middleman, you should also do market research on the items; cost of a brand new one and an unwritten rule cost of a used one.

Clearance sales, on average have 30% - 50% OFF on items listed as clearance sales. Now if the difference in cost between a brand new item and a used one listed as clearance sales is just N3,000 - N4,000, then that does not qualify as an item on clearance let alone one sold as used since it is almost the price of a new one.

If you feel offended that people mark your listed items as outrageous, price-wise, then there is a need for introspection. I can't tell you how to do your business but just because an original seller wants an item sold for a particular amount does not mean you have to take it when your outlook and how you're perceived is on the line.

PS: As a way to combat middleman and their insatiable greed, people who mean well for this thread must, as a matter of fact, call them out. It makes no sense to term here as clearance when used items are more expensive than brand new ones. I do not intend to shvt on your hustle but if I see anything that does not go down well with me, I will call it out.
