He's posing with them, not inspecting them. |
EroticAngelina:Concord does not deal with tenses... The problem with the two sentences are the verbs "drank" and "drunk". It is an aspect/tense question. |
TRADELYN:She's not correct please. English language is just like Mathematics. The teacher would fail you if your application is wrong whether your answer is right or wrong. She got the answer clearly, but her explanation is way off. Concord deals with the plurality and singularity of verbs in sentences while putting the subject into consideration. Concord does not deal with verb tenses. |
EroticAngelina:You're right but your application is wong! This is a tense cum aspect question and not subject-verb agreement. To answer this we just have to break it down; 1. I've drank the wine you left in the fridge. 2. I've drunk the wine you left in the fridge. Our main focus is the verb 'drink' and its variants which in this case are 'drank' and 'drunk'. Drank: The SIMPLE past tense of 'drink' Drunk: The past participle of drank, used for the PRESENT PERFECT and PAST PERFECT. Present perfect tense: A tense which describes an action that has been completed in the present. Eg, "I have never drunk the coffee". Past Perfect tense: A tense which describes an that has been completed in the past. Eg, I had never drunk the coffee. **To the answer;** The answer is B; "I've drunk the wine you left in the fridge." is correct. It is a present perfect tense with 'have' as its marker. To make this clearer, here's another example. It's just like the OP asking which is correct between the two. 1. I've forgave (past tense) you - Ungrammatical 2. I've forgiven (past participle - present perfect) you - Correct. |
lolaxavier:The internet is vast, true, but you would not see it anywhere on the internet asking you to use Tramadol and Lacasera to get the perfect date rape tool. And true, people make bombs online and even post them on Youtube. Understand that those who post these videos make do with tools and substances around them, which may be hard to come by in Nigeria. And of what essence is alerting the public Teach people how to spot Tramadol or other substances in Lacasera and other drinks You know the answer to this is an obvious "NO!" Not every part of an information is worth dishing out to the public. I get very uncomfortable with these aspect. Just recently, a Nairalander was asking for people's opinion on what to drop in the drink of a girl who had planned on visiting him. The police in particular don't know that some of whatever they tell the society, particularly about substances and criminals end up being recycled by desperate teens and youths. |
My problem with Nigeria's security services is that they lack decorum. Imagine the PPRO giving details of what and how the drug is used by the cultists. I believe that aspect is inconsequential. For those looking for date rape drugs, the PRO has announced one on a platter, just like Rohypnol was publicised during Cynthia's death. I wouldn't be surprised if the NA soon comes out to explain what the Boko Haram use making their bombs. Not every crime details should be divulged to the public. |

jboy73:Hahahahahaha! ![]() ![]() What's the poor boy's own na?
The father made it available, the son was only eating. |
xender:Hahahaha ! It's not like the money is up #2,000. What "small" business can someone possible start with 2,000? |
wristbangle:Perhaps I didn't see the "shaved beard" part. I agree with your latter part though. |
wristbangle:You digressing. Remember the bone of contention here is the "sleeper cell" theory. And I took the other guy on over his obvious hate towards the President. According to him, Lagos was the ISIS suspect's destination, the same thing you assumed. If indeed he was to meet with some cell mates here in Nigeria, it wouldn't be Lagos because Boko Haram's territory does not have such range. He can only be hosted in a cell which is close to the North. By the way, an average Lagosian would raise an eyebrow over such beard, and to think that he's a foreigner would easily make him a suspect. |
DTOBS:You're welcome. No, I'm in Lagos. |
DTOBS:The sitting out to have taken place before now. The recent NASU strike disrupted a lot of things. Regardless, waiting till noon would be the best thing to do right now. |
DTOBS:True that, the most important is the department's though. Senate sit over results at intervals which is not a problem as well. IED, Language Arts. |
wristbangle:Your assertion is still based on assumption. If indeed he has a link with the BH sect, then landing in Abuja would have been proper. Abuja has more Northerners than Lagos. @the bolded, yeah, that's me ![]() |
DTOBS:The best way to know your results have been approved is when they show up on the "Check result" link (note: now "raw score" .Once your result shows here, then it's approved. The problem now is "how fast your department is in mobilising". Dejt4u, if you're of 2014, then I should know you ![]() |
wristbangle:And Lagos has the only international Airport in the country Because I still don't understand. Please explain. |
sweatlana:Bless you! Tinubu is a thief and a corrupt puppeteer. I pray Fashola gains relevance in the political sphere without Tinubu. The man is a greasy stain on any upright person close to him. |
NoRetreat:Fashola is the reason APC was able to gain several other states. I could remember the APC asking electorates during their many states campaign if they (electorates) would love their states to be just as Lagos. Fashola may be "small" in power compared to Tinubu, he is still loved by all... If the APC and Tinubu does not tread careful, BRF would be their undoing just as Amaechi was Jonathan's undoing. |
Flets:I still can't believe someone typed the bolded. Perhaps your keypad is faulty and your device developed a brain of its own which I doubt. The report says "Nigeria" and you mentioned Lagos. If we say hate has clouded your reasoning you would argue otherwise. |
McKren:Your stupidity is legendary, you rushed to post without reading the OP's post and worst of all, some lazy clowns like yourself "dashed" you likes when it's obvious your hate could not be concealed. When will you have sense, please ? |
oweniwe:You still don't understand me. I'm not asking for an FG Map or detailed manuscript about Biafra. For example, I have atlases and maps of the old Bendel in my mini library as well as that of Nigeria. Fortunately, they correspond with the ones around and I have even seen some part of the map (in words) in one of Shachris' posts here. An Igbo collector or historian should have the map of The Bight of Biafra if indeed it's true. The ones I have seen online are recently designed and cannot be trusted. |
shachris:Not true, my NL bestie (ammyluv2002) is a full blooded Igbo chic. A PDP member and a Jonathan lover. She has gotten over it unlike most Igbo PDP folks and is indifferent about Biafra. You keep seeing her posts on restating that she's a Nigerian and she's going nowhere (I'm sorry for the mention, Dearie). Not just her alone. My childhood friends (two sane Igbo guys) and I went out today. At some point, we involved politics as "men's talk" but guess what? Both clearly stated they have no affiliation with Biafra. Worst of all, they claimed it's a movement for "grudgers". Shachris, I cited ammy to oppose your assertion. Read through her posts to confirm this. Jonathan is from the SS but I gallantly voted against him. The election was never about geo-political zoning for me. My problem with Biafra is simple; do not rope the SS in on your struggle. Face your battle alone. My advice to them is direct; war would only result to more casualties. There is a way, a better way to get what you want. |
shachris:I don't really embrace this. I refuse to believe Biafra agitators are largely PDP folks or support Biafra. I have PDP Igbo friends who are indifferent to the cause. Some do it because they believe the movement is true, some do it because they hate the present government. It's unfair to say all are PDP stalwarts. |
oweniwe:As much as I don't dispute this, I find it questionable for several reasons. The fact that there are no documents, cum "real" maps to back it up is enough. The only maps we can see are the ones online which could have been easily created by God-knows-who. Biafra still remains the struggle and emancipation of Igbos, by Igbos and for the Igbos. |
Sweetlemon:I'm with you Dear. Let the Yorubas back of the SS/SE biafra or no biafra ish. We're not in for Biafra. |
52 men ![]() What's with teens and initiation these days? Lalasticlala, come and see this. |
otr1:Honestly, we don't need the President to publish their names in print. We know them, public officials from the previous government have allegedly gone to him several times in order to help plead with the President to grant them soft landings. The several "closed door" cum "secret" meetings long after the election, I'm sure, bother on this corruption issue. For the greater good of Nigeria, let them allow the President see through his anti-corruption crusade. |
Freemanan:Everyone dreams of it, not wants it at all cost. And we both know it is impossible for everyone to have it. So what then happens to those who don't get the luxurious wedding they dreamt of? Should that stop them from being happy? Obviously not. |
Other those who carted away sums and properties while in office, the so-called political friends and god-fathers we have are equally responsible for the way Nigeria is. Corrupt public officials are alleged to have looted and you're looking for a way to make sure these thieves are not "disgraced". Let justice wield its sword and let it pierce anyone found guilty. The shamelessness of the PDP would soon push them out to say the President is stubborn for not bowing to the will of Abdulsalam Abubakar. We need fearless leaders. Lalasticlala |
