plus pidgin is the norm now

infact na only miguor, mavo, doh, omagare I sabi sad

I beg to disagree. I think it all comes down to parenting. I could remember mom would tell us folk tales strictly in Urhobo way back... In Lagos ooo. It is challenging and interesting at the same time. She would ask us to suggest morals learnt ONLY in Urhobo language and we (my baby sis and I) would babble, mix up the words with some English words, add Yoruba and back to the mother tongue. At the long run, I acquired and perfected the thing, even better than most grown Urhobo people.

Today, I move freely, interact with Urhobo folks when the need arises and most people find it hard to believe I've never travelled there before. My problem, however, is the pidgin accent. I don't have it at all and I admire people who eat it like rice.

Urhobo language is actually a beauty!

I've heard a handful of these proverbs before. To hear them, get the uncles together and have them gist over bottles of gins and kolanuts.

Were they translated from Urhobo, or do Urhobo elders normally tell proverbs in Pidgin?
Both. It's funnier even when spoken in Urhobo. The wicked pidgin accent kills me. Unfortunately, I don't have itsad

They have started cloning AIT Staff when High Chief Raymond Dokpesi condemned the Buhari ban.

Whether they like it or not, We shall resist decree 2
Honestly you need to start learning to adorn decorum. You really need it.

Read your second paragraph and see it makes sense to you. This is not a military regime and the whole nation knows this. Dokpesi would for a long time remain as you. I'm sure he'd remain bitter that his cash cow lost gallantly but it still should not give rooms for hates and senseless attacks.

You can't go on living in denial. We have a President elect whom Nigerians chose. You just have to deal with that.

It makes it easier if you kneel. Remember these creatures are not bulls. No amount of lying would save you, since they'd use their teeth and not horns. Honestly, one has slim or no chances if these dogs intend to go haywire. One's saving grace would be guns. If you keep guns, then fine.

To those doubting the OP, it's true. Fortunately, the artist himself is on the forum and he goes by the name "Oscarrazzi". The GEJ picture made FP yesterday; www.nairaland.com/2249963/amazing-hyper-realistic-biro-drawing-president.

BTW, OP, I think it's unfair opening a thread and posting the person's works when he probably didn't ask you to. You couldn't even mention his moniker even.

This is a very stupid tale. And to think that this is coming on the first day of a new month...

Policemen are killing more people each year than Boko Haram. Christiane Amanpour asked GEJ this sometimes back to which he denied. If only these men in blacks could be given typical trainings like the NA..

We're really on the same page. I love them as puppies. They're adorable and irresistible at that phase, but the moment they start growing teeth, that would be the end. Playtime's over. angry

BTW, the dogs are TOO big. They're not supposed to be kept as pets. What if they turn on their owners? undecided

yes, Delta Igbo
given the lessons learnt from the injustice that has been done to the oil producing parts of the South, the Lower Niger would must certainly practice absolute resource control, little or no oil money will be given to non-oil producing regions. The oil money would only diffuse as it is in circulation.
As an Urhobo man, are you comfortable with the way Urhoboland is despite the fact that so much wealth is dug up from there?
In Texas, usa, If oil is on your personal land, it is yours, you only pay royalty and tax as you drill.

The south cant be like this, Nigeria shouldn't even be like this but thanks to so many years of Northern rule, Let us unite and cause change.
No, as an Urhobo man, I'm not. I've never been comfortable with the way things are run particularly with how those within the waterside, and the Creeks have been treated unjustly. But whom should we blame? The FG or the representatives in the guise of militants? Dokubo was an ordinary militant until he gained relevance, forgot the collective struggle and suddenly went quiet. The FG tries its best to compensate these people by giving funds to their representatives, but do they deliver/feed the people back? No!

Fyi, the oil even though oozes at our backyard, does not belong to us alone. Northerners built our refineries alongside some Yoruba folks. "Our own" who ruled for 6 straight years was not able to build just one refinery and he alongside his croonies spent more monies maintaining old, tired refineries.

We're responsible for whatever happens to us, not the Government. Tribalism is and will never be my thing. But if you think the Igbos under their new name would manage the oil better, then you're wrong.

Last I checked I didn't quote and thank God you claimed your Biafra agitation is strictly for the Igbos only. I've known this right from day one and it would be better you don't include the SS in your quest. All the best though. Regardless, I believe your online rants are nothing but useless and pure cowardice. You people should push for this in real life and not hide under Nairaland to make demands. Catalan should be your role model. Please ensure you read up on themsmiley

you don't speak for the SS and Niger delta.
I'm a Deltan, I endorse the Lower Niger.
By Delta, I'm sure you mean Delta-Igbo? Take it or leave it, Delta-Igbos have two choices and they're more flexible in switching sides compared to an Urhobo like myself. I still see no reason why the SE should invite the SS into their trouble.

[s][/s]You are a bast.ard.I am a Niger Deltan,and i endorse Lower Niger 100%.
Igbos are not attaching anything.they have oil in 3 out of their 5 states.they are business minded and not parasite like your people.they are christains and we are christains.the last election shows we are in same page with them.so Go and Di.e.
That you, a loner, aligns with the SE for their struggle does not mean the SS would align with them. I'm a Niger Deltan and I DO NOT endorse one Lower Niger. The last elections showed you were on the same page by rigging in Rivers, Imo and Edo.

This is not by religion. The struggle is personal. Let the SE remain and keep their dream alive but know the Niger Delta and the entirety of the SS is NOT a part of their struggle.

I'm not perfect but it all bothers down to morality. I wouldn't want to pretend but it would be sickening to indirectly endorse/support masturbation. This explains why people who get involved in it seek help at some point.

To consider this from a religious view point, one must be willing to provoke some degree of sexual thoughts to accomplish his/ her mission. And of course, we all know the thoughts of a man is capable of defining a man.

I don't even understand why they call it self service. We are all adults or most of us are. It's called MASTURBATION.

That being said, masturbation might be wrong religiously speaking but outside of religion, it's okay.
I beg to disagree with your assertion. I don't agree with the fact that masturbation is "okay". By "okay", are you referring to the moral aspect from a personal point of view or from the societal aspect?
