That is the Ikoyi Link Bridge and not the one at Lekki. |
dapzyadix:Lol. Thank you, bro ![]() |
Transaction was smooth and devoid of stress. Thanks, Wese90. |
razzby:I wasn't online. Refund received. Cc Dominique. An aside: Thank you Wese90 for facilitating the deal with Dapzyadix. |
ModestGal:Just so you know, not a word from him today. This is the same you vouch for? |
$16 Webmoney from balance available. Used it for purchase and that's all that is left. |
iamyemiakins:Its sponsors are part of the government and since the South, primarily, is raging, they must suspend Boko Haram activities and send all soldiers now to 'super glue' the South back by silencing it. |
AJSfan:They already made the mistake. Announcing the military exercise at a time like is no doubt because of protesters. International communities are watching and Nigeria sits on the UN council. In the event that the exercise is suspended or called off, protesters will say the military stood down because they saw the awesome power of the people. Either way, it is bad for the government. |
starbuck:Truth is, the strength of our security is stretched thin, no thanks to insurgence and bandity in the North. The military is only trying to intimidate at this point because there is no way they will be able to match protesters across the country. Lagos alone has over 5 protest points while most states have two. They will be stretched so bad that the youths will see the lapses among them. You cannot silence a generation that has suddenly found its voice. It will be hard to do so, if not impossible. |
Buratai's lustful loyalty to Buhari will see the youths win this game of chess. The country isn't working and protesters have so far shown that so little can be used in running Nigeria effectively. These guys have provided for themselves a standby team of health practitioners, lawyers, organised their own feeding far better than the government's palliative during COVID-19 proper and have even set up security for themselves. You cannot silent an echo. The protests have been peaceful with no form of looting or violence in sight. I get it, Buhari has probably been advised not to fall and do the bidding of the youths, lest he comes off as weak which might open the eyes of people on the type of power they have collectively. The intervention of the military will change the narrative of the protest and even Nigeria. International communities are watching and this fight isn't just about a president and his people but a non-challant president and a stubborn generation with technology as their advantage. The use of brute force will only win more people to the side of the youths. |

Avoid this generation if you are a politician. These guys have woken up and their awakening is RUDE! ![]() Government have no power in our extant laws to ban protest. So Government must realise that the people have woken up from their slumber. Work with the people or welcome a REVOLUTION. SDMhttps://twitter.com/dino_melaye/status/1317064221700591617

ModestGal:I think I am infuriated right now with the emboldened. I wouldn't want to conclude just yet but if that is his practice, then it means he has been sharing sensitive details with others to help him out whereas I thought he was the one doing them. I recalled he 'Lol' when I mentioned the EFCC thing to him. I will give him till the agreed day and then make my move. Next week will make it two weeks. |
kayjay69:Spot on. However, I would like to chip in something. If you have been abreast with social media lately, you must have seen how politicians who are trying to associate themselves with the struggle are being shoved aside. The rallying chant is the #EndSARS slogan but there are greater underlying messages, more like subliminal behind it and the government understands. The hashtag is currently being used with #EndBadGovernance, #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria etc, while there are silent calls for the resignation of the president. Abuja youths some few days ago laid a siege at the Ministry of Justice building branding it 'Ministry of Injustice' with a trending hashtag to go with. The country right now isn't working and we can't pretend that it is. The awakening has brought in a whole new level of political consciousness such that people are now seeing things they embraced prior now as absurd. Dino Melaye got dragged last night when he joined voices with the youths to change the status quo. I strongly believe the #EndSARS protest is just a wake up call to the systemic anomalies plaguing the nation. It will surprise many to see that the call to reform the police will spiral very soon even after the government prosecutes policemen found guilty. 2023 has suddenly become so bleak for the likes of Atiku and Tinubu because almost every Southern youth have come to the realization that they have tolerated enough. Finally, most protesting Nigerians understand the police is not the enemy. I have seen videos of them feeding officers, cheering them and jubilating with the good ones. There was a call within a closed group recently to fix a police barrack and we had some persons say it is a distraction, which was agreed upon. A policeman even opened up that he allowed his family join the protest because the truth about the system is not how many think or believe it is on the outside. We will get there with time, particularly now that the youths know how to go about what they want. There is a massive reserve of cash that keeps growing on a daily basis; all donations to support the struggle. I don't even see the protest ending anytime soon. |
Zetty177x:It says they have been dismissed. Title was changed by a moderator. |
ModestGal:Not collecting 20k first. I like things done once and that's it. If he wants to scam me, let him do it fully and not pay a part then disappear. That way, I will build my case firmly and tackle him head on. I didn't escalate this whole thing until a week passed. At some point, he messaged after days of being incognito to tell me that he has been busy and doesn't like distractions! As earlier mentioned, my mind isn't on the money again because I am anticipating another story the next time he shows up on WhatsApp. |
ModestGal:The worst part is that the purpose for the transaction in the first place has not been sorted up to this very moment. You should see my posts here almost everytime trying to see if I can get $160. I sincerely don't want to collect and part refund and I have my reasons. Razzby full well know I am not angry with him and he can confirm this. I have had several transactions with him in the past without issues and he has been assisting with my PayPal withdrawals for a while now. His rates do not necessarily sit right well with me but I overlooked it because I felt peace of mind above anything else is all that matters. He comes around with so many different stories, so disjointed that I wonder what he expects me to do with some of the information he shares. I have already pushed his case to the EFCC through someone close and she advised that I wait to when razzby promised to refund. If anything, the stress and lies for me is what I won't stomach. |
dominique:I am sure he has seen it. I sent him the link and he probably viewed with another handle or as a guest. After the whole deal went sideways, he claimed he would refund only form him to tell me two days after that he would send me N20,000 first and that he would balance up later. I refused because he obviously keeps piling lies on lies which I find to be disgusting. Worse off is his attitude. Not sure I am bothered anymore whether he refunds or not but the amount of stress razzby has put me through is crazy. Like really crazy. |
Kamdil:Yes, it is! |
There is no denying that heads will roll in an attempt to please the people. As it stands, the systemic corruption in the police force is crazy deep, so much that politicians and some elites who have unjustly used the police to victimised the common people will be caught up in the cross fire. Knowing this, EndSARS is just the wake up call because the police and those in government might be thinking protests will cease after the announcement but the people will want more. Already, there are calls for the resignation of the IGP and the president. Demands for simple basic things we need for everyday survival will be pushed and the government will have no choice but to heed. The police force should ensure that officers that have been noted for dismissal should not return as armed robbers. Offa robbery and similar others across the country are case studies. The rude awakening is needed. Change is the new normal. |

Yomi Shogunle (former head of the Police Complaint Unit) and Dolapo Badmus (former Lagos PPRO) were punished and demoted according to Ayoo Akanji. The duo are part of the 37 members of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the NPF dismissed from service. Modified 37 former members of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad have been pencilled down for dismissal from service. The Police Service Commission is also expected to order the prosecution of 24 other ex-SARS operatives for various acts of misconduct.https://twitter.com/AyooAkanji/status/1317389351278546945 Not to be misunderstood, my thread on police administrative action includes dismissed, reprimanded & demoted officers. Abayomi Shogunle & Dolapo Badmus are amongst reprimanded and demoted officers.https://twitter.com/AyooAkanji/status/1317427970106138630?s=19

Jombojombo:Do not push this narrative. Oba Akiolu's tongue was loose and the utterance was wreckless but Sandra acted unprofessionally. Broadcasters and journalists take far worse shvt and the option is always very much the same in the end; swallow everything and pretend you are unaware of what is going on while you are dying inside or take the high route and walk away. Any media house will fire her for what she did. You can't walk out on a live show just like that and expect the management to overlook it. The topic is super sensitive and any right thinking person would have asked the producer to sit them out while any of the other ladies take charge. What matters the most is knowing yourself, acknowledging your weaknesses and and not overestimating your strengths. She went on to anchor the show thinking she could handle it but made a mess of it. Every media house in Nigeria currently is biased. I recall doing some excellent feature stories back then and it didn't make the publications because the editor thought publishing them would cost lots of people their jobs. The paper and press house is owned by the same 'Bourdillion man' and the then editor is now a commissioner in Sanwoolu's government. Was her sack right? Yes, it was. However, this does not imply that Oba Akiolu is sensible. No job is easy. |
Eriokanmi:I wasn't referring to this particular one. Let's just look on. |
TecM0:The police didn't choose to, believe. I believe they have learnt that every show of force meted on protesters end up drumming more support from international communities towards protesters. At this rate, they have lost the struggle and can only pretend. Some of them have come to realize that the protest will benefit them in the end. |
In moments like these, there will always be those who will beg to be unfortunate by trying to make a fortune out of people's misfortune. I was at the Lekki toll gate during the week and I can tell that it is all jamboree, fiesta, insha allah and vibes there, according to Tweeps. As far as I am concerned, Lekki has lost focus already. Alausa and some other parts of Lagos are the only sane places right now where pure agitations are ongoing. |
