Uprightness100: Even the devil, the Father of All liars will be confused and amazed at the lies that have come from this lekki gate saga.. The Nigerian government through its Lai coach (pun intended) will eventually sit the devil down in hell, get him a digital audiovisual board, hand a 50-year course outline on how to lie and mesmerize even God himself and not just people. |

1. The Nigeria Army was never at Lekki toll gate that night - Army Spokesperson. 2. Powers from above are aware of how the army got to Lekki toll gate that night - Sanwo Olu 3. Hoodlums must have impersonated the NA to shoot at protesters - Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice of Nigeria 4. We were at the Lekki toll gate on Sanwo Olu's request to intervene - Nigeria Army 5. The Nigeria Army is loyal to the president - Buratai Tukur, Chief of army staff 6. We only fired rubber bullets - Nigeria Army 7. We were there but fired blanks - Nigeria Army 8. We shot because protesters attacked us first - Nigeria Army 9. We took like ammunitions with us but were meant for back up measures - Nigeria Army
The difference between the Buhari-led government, championed by Liar Mohammed (at this time), the Nigeria Army and the Nigeria Police Force is in the way they are kitted/dressed. They tell lies without thinking of building on the previous lies they told. We do not have leaders in Nigeria. The country is on auto-pilot because these bunch of animals do not only have respect for human lives but will go to any length to cover their many atrocities, even when it means they have to look foolish while at it. |
Politics › Endsars: Soldiers Went To Lekki Toll Gate With Live Bullets – General Taiwo by Sanchez01(op): 7:50pm On Nov 21, 2020 |
Commander of 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Victoria Island, Lagos, Brigadier General Ahmed Taiwo, has confirmed that soldiers stormed the Lekki Toll Gate protest scene with live bullets.
Taiwo said soldiers left Bonny Camp military base to End SARS protest scene having live ammunition.
The General said this while being cross-examined on Saturday on his earlier testimony.
He, however, said the live ammunitions were for backup and were not used by the soldier.
Olamide Fusika, lawyer to the End SARS protesters asked the army general what the soldiers left Bonny Camp with, General Taiwo, said ‘Vehicles and riffles.”
Probed further on whether the soldiers’ rifles had only rubber bullets as he had earlier testified, General Taiwo said they had live bullets, but swiftly added that the live ammunition were meant for back up measures. https://dailypost.ng/2020/11/21/end-sars-soldiers-went-to-lekki-toll-gate-with-live-bullets-general-taiwo-opens-up/

It is true that what was bought two years ago won't be the valued at the same amount today. Recall someone tried selling a shelf and AC for months until he got frustrated and claimed his wife asked him not to sell any longer. These things no dey hard. A month of harsh realities and you'll see him slash the price. |
Romance › Re: My Relationship Is Being Affected Because Of My Low Income. by Sanchez01(m): 8:26pm On Nov 20, 2020 |
Afikoo: Good morning Nairalanders. I sure know you all fine.
I am writing this with heavy heart. I know we have super rich people here who rose from poverty to riches.
This life isn't balance. Done with school. Been working as security administrator in my church and I earn 80k. I have been planning on getting married. Have met my fiance Parents, they were happy. I have engaged her she is happy. All of a sudden the elder brother who isn't around is angry that I haven't spoken to him about my intention. I have earlier tried his line severallly and it isn't going through. Had to chat him and he told me I am not serious that I should grow up. A bullet in my heart.
Her mum has suddenly changed and is accusing me for not calling her always. This whole drama has gotten into my babe now she is talking about us suspending our marriage plan and try improving our income. (She is learning a skill)
I am fed up. Have suspended everything now. I have tried everything since I left school last year to improve my income. Apply for jobs here and there. Is just not cutting in.
Please, share your experience on how you were able to get out of this average life as a Nigerian.
Advise me and others still struggling to rise up. You can recommend jobs for me. I studied history and Diplomatic Studies. Have some certification in Leadership and human resource. Trust me, I can deliver on anything legal. I have the capacity, but haven't gotten the opportunity.
Patiently reading. Sorry I had to quote you but you should be grateful God used her and her family to open you eyes. In this present situation, no man should get involved with a lady who isn't working/earning. You were almost doomed to living the subpar life. I sincerely wouldn't say 80k is enough to conveniently run a home but it might be different if she is working or earning as well, at least that way, you both could join resources. I'd say you cleanly dodged a bullet here. Don't condemn yourself to the struggling life. It isn't worth it. If she isn't earning or working, then she isn't suitable for you in this present situation the country is in. Be grateful you dodged this bullet. Don't just allow yourself get bullied. |

Police dey Bleep up big time but there are better ways to handle this than fostering hate between the law enforcement and the citizens. With over 4 police stations razed and 2 prisons opened, sorry Benin city is not going to get better anytime soon. For those that have fallen, there will be reprisals upon reprisals plus other crime. jackslow: putting on a replica watch is just like trying to show the world you're there when you're not, don't put on anything fake or replica that we call it,I think is better to wear a genuine Invicta, swatch, Timex, Rotary, Casio or any midrange brand than wearing fake watch.
When ever I see those good-looking faking watches,I always ask 'can't the makers of those watches create their brands that will later become a global success' because those makers are good The emboldened is not necessarily true save you are a celebrity, as was Wizkid's case over a year ago when he wore a fake Richard Mille timepiece. Replicas, in today's world, are a big deal and the primary reason they are made, other than to drive revenues, is to make people have a feel of the original and not necessarily to belong as postulated. At the earliest times, before I became a full Invicta junkie, I bought an 'Invecta' for N42,000 without knowing it. And it wasn't until much later that I discovered that it was a replica. My findings didn't make it stop working and it didn't reduce its value. Most of the world's biggest brands, Hublot included, are behind their own replicas. It is what makes most replicas legal because the brand name was approved for use and the idea is to mop up lovers of the brand who do not have the money to purchase the real deal. Invicta's replica is sold under the name 'Invecta', while Richard Mille, Hublot and some others use the original brand name. Where the difference lies is in the way the logo is engraved on the timepieces. However, replicas or not, they do not tell the behave differently, and that includes their chronographs. If I could advise anyone to get a replica, I'd say they should get one that shares the exact name with the original. The 'replica sin' for me is wearing Invecta, Nile, Fiba, Fuba, Tommy Hilfinger, Jimmy Choose, etc. Tecno started making phones by creating Nokia replicas because they had a deal with the latter. They, however, got comfortable and thought to build their own brand. The same never really happens in the timepiece world because the true company churn out the replicas and deliberately leave loopholes in them to tell them apart from the originals. If one can afford a replica, let them go ahead and rock it conveniently with their full chest. After all, they are engraved, quite detailed and quite durable. The pressure of breaking the bank because of the lust to wear an original should not be an option. |
Technology Market › Re: House Clearance Sales.. Come In Here!!!! by Sanchez01(m): 7:19am On Nov 15, 2020 |
Gong007: Impressive details. Thank you man. It's an imitation no doubt. Does it worth buying? To be honest, the replicas are worth it. They are actually very cheap, mostly around N5,000 to N15,000 and can't be spotted as fake because the brand name, Hublot is well spelt as against the Fiba and Fuba (Fubu) or Nile (Nike) of this world. Since almost every Hublot watches look sophisticated in make up, the replicas are no different as they are made to look like the originals. The replicas are better than the originals of some wrist watches and it will take a lot of convincing to tell someone you bought it for a very cheap amount. So yes, the replicas are worth it in every way. |
Technology Market › Re: House Clearance Sales.. Come In Here!!!! by Sanchez01(m): 10:59am On Nov 14, 2020 |
Gong007: Yo peeps! Does anyone know the worth of this watch and how do I identify if it's genuine. My Google search hasn't yielded anything meaningful.
Please help The worth, I do not know but the watch market is currently flooded with replicas or clones that are perfectly crafted to tell the fakes from the true ones. I wear invicta primarily but detecting fakes for all applies using a simple strategy. For Hublot: 1. The edge of the minutes and hour hands are mostly in 3D while the clones have thinner, ordinary edges. 2. Screws on the fakes are mostly blueish. The originals' are plain. 3. Watch out for misalignments or misspellings. The watch is 'Hublot' then around it, you should see 'Geneve'. The fakes have come to have the same but some have 'Geneva'. 4. You will ALWAYS see 'Swiss Made' around its dial. 5. The Hublot logo on the original is engraved. Unfortunately, the fakes are better engraved these days. 6. All Hublot's watches have the signature 'H' screws. 7. The clasp of genuine Hublot watches have the logo engraved, not stamped. 8. For the fakes, you cannot miss the unnecessary spacing in letters. If you spot it, then it is a fake. 9. Weight... The original is always heavier and has a smooth feel when you hold it. 10. Finally, the seller. |

creolehunt: About 2 years ago, my brother started working for this company as an intern. The agreement with his manager was that he will be confirmed within 6 months. After about 18months without confirmation, he resigned from the job but still kept contact with people from his former job.
Fast forward to some weeks ago, he heard that his former company needed personnel at a new branch in a new state and it's strictly an internal recruitment. So he met his former manager and expressed interest, the manager pushed his name (eligibility is dependent solely on recommendation by your branch manager) and he alongside others went through series of interviews at the end of which he was employed. Suffice to say that the HR manager was part of these interviews.
He was sent an offer letter plus other documents and he resumed last week monday. Last week Tuesday, he was called by the HRM who asked him series of questions after which the HRM said he didn't know all this while that my brother isn't an active staff and that he (the HRM) was hoodwinked by the branch manager. His argument was tgat there were other eligible candidates who could have been recommended, but the manager brought someone from outside.
Now, the offer letter to my brother has been withdrawn. Same guy that resigned his job the moment he received this offer, he has even told everyone that mattered tgat he was relocating. Please is there anything we can do to salvage this, it's so heartbreaking. I don't know where they expect him to start from when he gets home. This is painful but the outcome was inevitable. He resigned and moved on a long time ago. As much as he thought he was still a part of them because he kept in touch, IT WAS AN INTERNAL RECRUITMENT; STRICTLY FOR THOSE WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION. He wasn't. Almost experienced the same nearly a year after resigning, just because the regional head was a big brother. I would have taken it and ended up getting in trouble but my heart was no longer there. He shouldn't have shown interest in an internal recruitment when he wasn't there anymore. You can't eat your cake and have it. Ask him to reach out to his previous employer. If they had a sent forth organized for him, he should forget going back. If not, he should eat the humble pie and make a move to go back there. |

You call a truce and claim all the cries of the protest have been heard, that you will get to work on the demands of the youths... First, you revive the social media bill move then move on to illegally prevent youths from travelling via air by seizing their passports. And as if that isn't enough, the CBN moved to block accounts of influencers for no just cause. All of these while you called a truce and asked them to rest from protesting.
This government has no iota of self-respect and the youths they are dealing with will gladly throw respect out the window. This is a whole different generation; one that has found a voice and has fallen in love with the voice they found. It won't be business as usual.

The topic is sensational and what he said is correct even though expression is a problem for him. A policeman is only allowed to use his firearm only when his life is in danger, meaning it should be a LAST RESORT and not just because you have an altercation with someone who refused to give you N50.
He failed to mention that it should be their last resort, which is the one powerful thing to note. There is no denying that policemen across Nigeria are scared and demoralised seeing how angry and destructive some sets of people have been with them in the past three weeks.
The self defence act is important and even worse in the United States. Policemen are humans but always fail to remember this when dealing with unarmed folks. |
