jaxxy:I quite agree with you. She failed to hire a lawyer and didn't understand the contract she signed. |
skyhighweb:The contract didn't state that SHE CAN'T but that THEY CAN USE HER IMAGES AND NAME, ON HER APPROVAL, FOR THE PROMOTION OF HER MATERIALS. |
Ishilove:Lol! Not sure he does. He is a villain in this story, particularly after Peter and May D's exposés. I equally doubt he'll do a thing. |
Ishilove:Suing her now would be a waste of time. If I was Jude, I'd wait for her to blow again, and when I know, feel or suspect she has made some money, I'll then sue her into misery and penury. I like her as a musician but the recent stunt is way too suspicious. |
She lived recklessly, became arrogant and rude to fellow musicians and when the windows of fame closed in on her, she appealed to the emotions of her fans and Nigerians, lied against her own label and seized advantage of the pity party to have a Gofundme raised on her behalf to have her career restarted. Na mumu go die put. Gofundme link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/bringbackcynthiamorgan

Cynthia Morgan may not have been truthful when she said she can no longer use the name 'Cynthia Morgan' because it was contained in her record label that the label owns the name and that she is prohibited from using it. The only time it is mentionedt that her name and images would be used is when the label wants to promote her materials, such as her singles, albums, EPs, and possibly videos. She had the exclusive rights to use her name all along, contrary to what she said in the Instagram Interview she had with Sandra.

BOFREJO:You're welcome! Yup! That's it. ![]() Next, you'll need to submit your sitemap to the Search Console. |
GramaCorrector:On certain levels and vice versa. If you have a global traffic, with most of your visitors from tier 2 or 3 countries, AdSense is no doubt the best. But if you have visitors from tier 1 countries, you're better off using media.net. I tried media.net on one of my new sites. In the end, I made only $4 from 485,199 impressions with $0.01 as my RPM! If my visitors were from tier 1 countries, it would have been a different ball game. Consider the below: Media.net RPM (Tier 1) - $5 1,000 impressions - $5 20,000 impressions - $100 I would have made over $2,400 from 485,199 impressions but I made only $4, with $0.01 as the RPM! The reason? Traffic tier, of course. For mixed traffic or those with lower-tier visitors, AdSense is preferred.

Veiniously:1. Get a good logo. 2. Properly optimize and create good menus. 3. Your pages should be in your footer section and not at the menu. Pages being 'contact', 'advertise', etc. 4. Work on your 'About' page. 5. Segment contents on your home page according to categories OR have an indicator on each of your posts to tell their categories. 6. Your site's username is 'admin'. Cloak it in the 'Users' section at your backend by adding a first and last name. I could hack into your site just by knowing your login username. |
BOFREJO:1. Sign in to Google Search Console (https://search.google.com/search-console) with the same Google account email you use to sign in to Blogger. 2. At top left click the current Search Property. If your Blogger blog is already verified and on the list, just click the blog name to see the data. You shouldn't need to do anything else. If your blog is not listed there, go on to step 3. 3. Click + Add Property 4. Select URL Prefix, enter your blog URL, and click Continue 5. Verification should be immediate, and you should see an Auto Verification confirmation OR Use the HTML tag method by uploading the HTML tag in within the head tag of your site. That is, between the <head> and </head> of your site. You should see something like the below... <html> <head> <title>Your Page Title</title> <meta name="google-site-verification" content="your verification string"> </head> <body> The emboldened will be your HTML tag. And if you are wondering how to get there, then: 1. Sign in to your Blogger dashboard at blogger.com 2. Go to “Theme” > “Edit HTML“ 3. Click inside the HTML and use CTRL F to find </head> 4. Paste the header code above the </head> 5. Save your template. That's it. |
Caramelskin:This depends on so many factors such as: 1. Tier of traffic 2. Niche & keywords 3. Advertisers bid, etc. I'd say between $0.40-$0.80 for tier 3 traffic, $0.60-$2 for tier 2 and $3/4-$5 or more for tier 1 traffic. |
Veiniously:I have a media.net account and can tell you it isn't beneficial to non-tier 3 traffic. You might want to work on your design. I find the present disturbing and if I was a visitor, I doubt I'd want to return to your site. |
BOFREJO:1. Be sure to do a simple SEO optimization on your Blogger site settings. 2. Use the Google Search Console (GSC) to properly have your links indexed and monitor your search metrics. https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome |
questechie:'Broken' is a big word. Its recent algo was tweaked to do what it does now, which makes it different. Of course, the everyday update release is disturbing but necessary. The Bing you referenced is not even half as smart and updated as Google. My website is well optimized with industry-standard SEO rules and methods but only a tiny fraction of my traffic are from Bing and other search engines. I frequent WebMasterWorld and can tell you it is a webmaster forum and not an SEO expert haven but I'm sure you already know this. You aren't using searchnengineland, semrush, searchenginejournal, searchmetrics, or seoroundtable and you're mentioning 'SEO experts', citing Reddit and WMW. Hilarious. 'Broken' is a huge word and Google isn't. |
questechie:No, it's not. The pandemic forced the update and the main idea behind it was to prevent advertisers from taking advantage of this period. Sadly, there were keyword mishaps and top social media sites alongside Amazon are the top winners of the May core update. The strangest aspect of the update is that social media sites are ranking for important user queries, which should be. The flaw is too glaring and a subtle update might be made very soon. |
Classworked:I understand you but it is absurd for an individual to actually talk about something a component of an armed forces is grounded in. We all denigrate the NA a whole lot but it is hilarious for anyone to actually talk about sniper gun handling when soldiers are bearing them. It is gun handling and I'm sure we have Weapons Master, Armourers or Weapons Specialists who train our soldiers on how to use these guns. His comment is similar to an Eyimba player talking about Kano Pillars football team and commenting on whether or not Kano Pillars team only wear their uniforms and gears forgetting that Kano Pillars is a football team, just as he is a member of a FT. |
Classworked:The point is not whether or not he is a naval infantry in the US but whether or not our soldiers are trained 'mathematically' to handle a sniper gun without running the handler through the crucial aspects of it. Sniper guns are not regular guns and I'm sure most people know this. His post is irrelevant if you ask me. |
J111333:And it was revealed to you that they are not trained to know what a non-soldier like you knows? |
Enavie:No, sorry. |
Babygal2020:First off, forget the certification for a minute because whoever is hiring would be more interested in seeing you do the practical stuff. That said, might have to sacrifice a bit to learn. By sacrifice, I mean use your own money to run ads on Facebook, possibly on Adword as well and learn the basics. If you don't have any brand or product to advertise, use that of anyone closest to you to do so. Before you do, you might need videos to do so. So just go on YouTube to search for videos, download them, and use them as you try to practicalize what you've known overtime. |
Activist001:I got hit in a huge way. A site of over 40,000 daily visitors got slashed by half since last week. |
Omihanifa:LMAO ![]() |
Omihanifa:I think you're lumping Nollywood with the Nigerian Music Industry. While suffering and smiling applies to both, I quite get it when upcoming acts slave to get something for themselves. The grey area is in the contract signing which seems to done out of ignorance EVERY TIME. This was the case of Kiss Daniel who was alleged to be earning a paltry N30k from his label while they, according to the contract he signed, recouped all the money spent on cars, a luxurious apartment and even clothing just to make him look good. |
Davash222:You want to say rubbish now, shey? ![]() |
There seems to be a recurring pattern of exploitation with record labels in Nigeria, which is why you see some drag court issues for years with an aggrieved artist who has chosen to leave after slaving his youth away. I don't know who needs to see this; DO NOT SIGN A RECORDING CONTRACT in a haste. It is always easier when promises of a glorious future are made and presented but the after effect can be very costly. Artists like Wizkid and Kizz Daniel are just some of the very few who took their former labels head on and succeeded. That doesn't mean it will be the same for others. As an upcoming act, hire a lawyer to represent you when putting pen to paper and, as much as possible, negotiate your terms before you end up as a potential Gofundme recipient. Picture of May D below...

May D seems to be the newest celebrity to reach out Cynthia Morgan after Peter Okoye. The former Square Records signing was forced to open a can on worms on the things he endured while with the now defunct Psquare after a Tweep alleged he left the label over greed. According to May D, Peter and Paul, and possibly Jude Okoye made him live with them but in the BQ of their Square Villa, alongside their cook and driver while a part of the mansion was vacant and unused. In a bid to claim greed wasn't the reason for his fallout with the group, he also claimed he never billed them despite being a heavy influence on the album, 'Invasion', the fourth album of the now parted twin musicians group. https://twitter.com/MisterMayD/status/1264492630320259072?s=19

Genes1s:I doubt that is possible. Note that you're building or setting up an eCommerce website where your books will be listed. Another solution here would using SmartLink Dynamic URLS plugin. At best, you can only generate 5 URLs each and use them for geotargeting. If the geotargeting feature is turned off, the links will load randomly. You MIGHT get better features with a PREMIUM plugin but you will need to put your SEO into serious consideration. NB: IF YOU ARE BUYING A PLUGIN OR IF SOMEONE CLAIMS THEY SELL A PLUGIN WITH THE FEATURES OF YOUR SPEC, ASK THEM FOR PROOF OF PURCHASE before buying. There are rotten, hungry folks hoping to prey on people here. |
I'm leaving this country next year. This year is gone as it is... I can't continue reading these kind of stuff and thinking it is normal. |
We seriously need to be grateful Burna Boy never got to edge Angelique Kidjo at the Grammy. Else, 2Baba would have been a foot mat already. |
