Buhari, long before he was elected president, stubbornly insisted that Abacha “never stole”, and that he was not corrupt. “Illegally taken from Nigeria” is a ploy to sidestep the word: “stolen”. “Under Abacha” portrays it as if other people, not Abacha himself, committed the “illegality” without Abacha’s knowledge.
Sinzu the clown. He defended Abacha so hard that an entire nation is still getting credit alerts and constantly seeing money fossils courtesy of the dead Klepto. The same man that sleep, drink and eat integrity like some special delicacy.
The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has said close to $1bn was “stolen under a previous, undemocratic junta in the 1990s.”
Buhari, in an article published in Newsweek, a United States-based magazine, expressed appreciation to the “friendly nations” that returned the stolen funds.
Though the President did not mention Abacha by name, it was apparent he was referring to the deceased dictator.
Saturday PUNCH reports that, three weeks ago, Nigeria received $311m in repatriated Abacha loot from the United States and the Bailiwick of Jersey.
After Nigeria recovered the loot from US and Jersey, the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, said the money would be used in expediting the construction of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Abuja-Kano road, and the Second Niger Bridge.
Previous recoveries had also been made from UK and Switzerland.
Buhari, in his article, stated that the country could move forward with road, rail and power station construction, “partly under own resources, thanks to close to $1bn of funds stolen from the people of Nigeria under a previous, undemocratic junta in the 1990s that have now been returned to our country from the US, UK and Switzerland.”
The President added, “That the friendly nations agreed to return the funds after so long is a testament to the fact that, with our governance reforms, Nigeria is rightly seen as an increasingly stable and beneficial place to transact and invest.”

Some of these Northern elites deliberately stoked and sponsored terrorism in their region, not just for security votes but also on religious and highly political grounds.
Mohammed Yusuf, the founder of Boko Haram, was sponsored and backed by some Northern elites to destabilize a non-Northerner's administration and to resist Western education, just so Shari'ah can gain recognition. Buhari was one of the most vocal clowns who supported the propagation of Islam and Sharia'ah through the Boko Haram sect.
First, it was the killing of Southern Kaduna folks just because they chose a different faith and perhaps resisted El rufai during the guber. Then seeing that Boko Haram had kept our military boxed, they found a need to invent a mobile militia that would move around the country and wreck havoc for expansion sake.
The irony of it all is that Buhari was voted by some based on his antecedent with the Maitatsine uprising. Today, not only has he failed but has also turned the once-powerful Nigeria Army that was the cynosure of West Africa; the same that wrestled South Africa from bondage into a boy scout group. Our soldiers are not only poorly treated but under-equipped to tackle the insurgent head-on.
Chadian soldiers now command more respect than the Nigeria Army while crime has become hydr-headed more than ever. We judged wrong. Sinzu money is not interested in the welfare of Nigerians other than borrowing money from the IMF and World Bank or take to begging on Twitter.
Some key Northern players are greatly profiting from the chaos in the North and the only way to curb it in the South is to put up regional security outfits to defend themselves because Buhari's scorecard has shown that he is a failure, most importantly on security.
Nigeria’s Northern Governors Have Turned Killings, Banditry Into Business –President, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, Shettima
Shettima, who spoke with SaharaReporters, also blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for not taking definitive steps to end banditry and insurgency in the region.
President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, Yerima Shettima, has accused Northern governors of turning banditry and killings in the region into business by not doing what is necessary.
Shettima, who spoke with SaharaReporters, also blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for not taking definitive steps to end banditry and insurgency in the region.
He attributed the incessant killings to poor leadership in the region.
He said, “The renewed attack emanated from lack of leadership, those who are saddled with responsibilities are not serious.
“What does it take our security forces if not that everything has been politicized and some of them take it as a business that they make so much money out of it. What does it take to wipe off this banditry?
“It is because there is no political will. It has become a business where they receive money in the name of security vote; unaccounted for, non-remittable, so they just continue doing it as a business. The day they wake up and there is no banditry, automatically, no more business.”
Shettima compared the bandit attacks to Boko Haram, saying Northern governors lacked the political will to put an end to the unnecessary killings.
He said, “When there is no clear direction or policy by government to tackle the issue and with lack of political will to address issues, things will continue to metamorphose to something else.
“When the leaders lack the political will to address these issues, it becomes the order of the day and this is exactly what we are facing in the northern part of the country.
“Banditry issue is high, Nigerians are tired of hearing we will let us see it. Do it and don’t tell us, just do it because things are getting out of hand.”
Shettima said the President must immediately swing into action to end the killing in his state, noting that it the issue was not addressed, it could spread to other parts of the country.
He added, “It will be impossible until we have a government at the central willing and determined to address this issue once and for all.
“They need a political will to address this issue, otherwise, what is affecting us today will turn out to be a serious problem in other parts of the country. We must see it as our collective responsibility to fight it out, all hands must be on deck.”
The migration is not recent. It has been on for over a year now. For those in Lagos who are sensitive to their immediate environment, they'll realize that Hausa/Northern Okada riders have increased drastically with the past one year. If there is to be a coordinated attack, these guys will comfortably man streets or avenues and lay a siege without hassle.
The presence of COVID-19 only made people attentive to the strategic movements of these folks. Before now, no one cared. One wonders how these guys get so large within a short period of time that they seize forests, and farms that are not in their territories and use them as hideouts while the NPF and the Nigerian Army look on despite unprovoked attacks.
And the worst part; Fulani herdsmen maiming, killing and raping all have a name now - herders-farmers' clash. With the senseless bloodsheds, these guys still get to walk away and strategize bigger attacks on any community that dare to report them. And then there is the large cache of arms that are supplied via helicopters as reported by various people in different states.
Despite all of these happenings, we have a president that is unbothered and doesn't seem to care about the plight of unfortunate farmers who not only lose millions of Naira for having their farms vandalized but getting killed for voicing out against trespassing.
His handlers plagiarized Obama's speech and made him (Buhari) read it during his swearing-in 2015 ("I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody". The best he would have done is pretend to live by what he read but no. What we have is an ailing, chauvinistic individual with no clue of governance. Nonsense.
ON May 29, that is tomorrow, President Muhammadu Buhari will mark his fifth anniversary in office. Questions will concentrate the minds of many. What does the North want out of Nigeria? Is there an exclusive Northern agenda? If there is, to what extent does that agenda promote national unity?
These questions could be stretched further. Does President Buhari subscribe to the idea of a Nigeria that works for all? Is he an inherently good but misunderstood man? Does he mean well for Nigeria and Nigerians? Has he done well for the country?
These posers have become more germane in the face of ongoing smuggling, enmasse, of able-bodied young men from the North to the South in the midst of a nationwide restriction on interstate travels. The mode of transportation amplifies the desperation. The complicity of security operatives who have the presidential mandate to enforce the lockdown orders betrays the motive. The deafening silence of the Presidency, despite public outcry, makes the matter more ominous.
This week, Imo State recorded 20 new COVID-19 cases, all of them Northerners who were intercepted as they were being smuggled into the state. Because they were not quarantined after their samples were taken, nobody knows where they are right now. So, Imo is in crisis. There are new 20 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state, yet no one has an idea where the people, who are neither indigenes nor residents, are. These émigrés are taking advantage of the coronavirus-induced restrictions for their furtive voyage aided by Nigerian security outfits dominated by Northerners. And these are not economic migrants.
Let me digress with an anecdote. Nigerians can never forget Mrs. Patience Jonathan, the irrepressible former First Lady, in a hurry. She breathed life into the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, asphyxiating political campaigns after the 2015 presidential election was postponed from February 14 to March 28 by dramatically taking over the floundering re-election campaigns of her husband, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, through a parallel campaign organisation – Women for Change and Development Initiative.
In her outings leading the PDP women presidential rally, she paid no heed to political correctness. She was raw and wild and effective. During a rally in Calabar, Cross River State in early March 2015, she unsettled many, when, speaking in Pidgin English, she touched on what had become the shame of the North.
“Our people no dey born children wey dem no dey fit count. Our men no dey born children throway for street. We no dey like the people for that side.” Only a Patience Jonathan could muster the political will to say that. It was tantamount to committing political hara-kiri and she was never forgiven by those who saw in her comments an attack on their “way of life”.
Mrs. Jonathan was talking about the almajiri phenomenon: A system of Islamic education practiced in Northern Nigeria which encourages parents to leave parental responsibilities to an attached Islamic school. Sent away to distant places by their parents in the name of religion, all alone with no guardians, some at the tender age of four, the almajirai are handed plastic plates for begging to fend for themselves. That is archetypal child abuse, which promotes youth poverty and delinquency and destitution. Besides, most are radicalised in the process and become ready recruits for criminal gangs and terrorist groups.
A 2014 UNICEF estimates had a figure of 9.5 million almajirai in the North, quite a sizeable number more than the population of some countries. That is a very lethal army of children without compunction. Something is definitely wrong with a system that encourages “mass production” of children with no parental responsibility. The Northern elite who claim it is their way of life know that, which explains why it is meant only for the hoi polloi.
Now, back to Buhari. Many Nigerians wonder what legacies he will be leaving behind after his tour of duty as president. With three years still remaining of his second term, many strongly aver that he has been very unfair to the country that has given him so much. Insecurity is at its worst, level of mistrust unprecedented. Our national fault lines have never been more magnified. Most Nigerians outside the Hausa-Fulani ethnic nationalities believe the worst of their president, who has done practically nothing in the last five years to promote national unity.
Can a president plot evil against his own people? While Buhari’s apologists say it is absurd to contemplate such, history is replete with precedents. But whether he is guilty as charged or innocent, if I were him, I will be worried. It should bother him that half of the country view him with so much suspicion. They don’t trust him and think the worst of his government.
The feeling is pervasive. And this time, it is not only the Igbo, already labelled naysayers, that are mourning. The Yoruba are shouting. The Ijaw are screaming and the Middle Belters are crying blue murder. So, there must be something fundamentally wrong with the way Buhari carries on that engenders strong suspicion and resentment.
The last five years for most Nigerians have been years of strife, tension, blood, sorrow and tears. It is time President Buhari had a rethink, changed strategy. Today, most Nigerians from the South are more afraid of the spectacle of human cargoes stowed away in every movable object from the North to the South at a time when interstate movement is prohibited by both state and federal governments than they are of coronavirus.
Bizarre occurrences
Recently, the Niger Delta Forum, a pressure group, demanded through its national chairman, Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga (retd.), an explanation from the president. The Forum is flabbergasted that the almajirai, with all the subsisting lockdown rules, are “still transiting across the country in long vehicles, without being detected and stopped by security agents.”
Similarly, on May 19, the Association of Southeast Town Unions, ASETU, weighed into the befuddling phenomenon. “We have the strange arrival of able bodied young men in such a coordinated fashion. These bizarre occurrences can only make sense if there is an equally bizarre plan afoot,” ASETU lamented in a petition addressed to the UN alleging ethnic cleansing.
Another group, Igbo Board of Deputies, made similar allegation in an open letter to the international community where they alleged impending genocide in Nigeria. “Under the cover of the COVID-19 lockdown, thousands of armed men between the ages of 18 and 35 years were being systematically transported across the length of Nigeria, over 1,000 kilometers from Northern Nigeria to occupy Southeast, including other Southern parts of Nigeria,” they alleged.
It may well be that these groups are crying wolf where there is none, but these movements are real. On April 21, the Northern Governors Forum resolved never to “allow the (almajiri) system persist any longer because of the social challenges associated with it, including the perpetuation of poverty, illiteracy, insecurity and social disorder.” The 19 governors also agreed to totally ban the system in the North because of the “risk that almajiri children are exposed to because of the coronavirus disease” and unanimously resolved to “evacuate the children to their parents or states of origin”.
But why bring them to the South, which is neither their states of origin nor abodes of their parents? It is typical for government to play deaf and dumb at a time like this. But a president with eyes on the verdict of history and a government conscious of constitutional obligations to the citizenry should be worried. At a time like this, silence is not golden. If government is not behind these dangerous movements overtly or covertly, then an investigation is in order.
This present government will go down as the most insensitive government in the history of Nigeria. No one knows the whereabouts of Abacha's loots, COVID-19 'billion' donations have disappeared without a trace, VAT increase and the clueless government has resolved to further dwindle the country's resources by funding oil exploration in the North, all for what?
We are either humiliating ourselves by begging or by borrowing.
The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has written to the House of Representatives to request for the approval of fresh external borrowings totalling $5.513bn.
Buhari, in the letter read by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, at the plenary on Thursday, said the funds were for 2020 budget deficit, financing of critical projects, and some states of the federation.
The President also presented a revised 2020 Appropriation Bill and 2020-2022 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper.
The National Assembly had recently approved a loan of N850bn for the Federal Government, while another of $22.79bn, which the Senate has already approved, is pending before the House.
Engineer1985: Hi everyone! I want to bring to your notice here an ads network I have used and it has proven to better than Google adsense. It’s Ezoic! Yes, Ezoic is a Technology platform for websites that improves website ad earnings, site speed, & UX using artificial intelligence to streamline the management of ads, content etc.
Ezoic is NOT an ad network but a Google Certified Publishing Partner. They also are in partnership with other ad networks. It is not in any way better than Google AdSense. As a matter of fact, you won't be accepted if you are not in good standing with AdSense.
Ezoic was established in 2010 and now has over 10,000 publishers using the network. Why is ezoic better than Google adsense? Ezoic is better because they don’t disable accounts or place ads limit on your account. You will agree with me that it can be so annoying waking up one day to see a message from google that your account has been disabled. Many of us here experienced this many times, but it’s not the end of the world as there are other better ads network like Ezoic.
Again, Ezoic is no ad network. Plus, you could get kicked the moment AdSense finds a violation on your site. Why you feel your AdSense is untouched is because they mostly ask users to allow them put them own premium AdSense account on your site while you earn with it. The downside is that the reporting is not indepth and not good enough.
Another way Ezoic is better than adsense is the fact that they use AI ad tester on your site to know ads that performs well for your visitors, in other words, the AI figures out the best kinds of ads, placements for any type of visitor that comes to your site. Apart from this, Ezoic accepts all kinds of traffic including social media.
If it violates AdSense TOS, Ezoic will have issues with your site.
Ezoic has $20 as minimum payout and you can cashout through Paypal, Payoneer and Wire transfer(only for US residents) .
The best part of Ezoic.
If I want to list all the benefits of using ezoic, I might use a whole day so let me stop here. I know at this point you will be wondering if I have made any money from a network I’m promoting like this. The answer is yes, I have and I have attached screenshots of my earnings to this article. If you want to earn with me and other 10,000+ publishers worldwide using Ezoic, kindly
I wouldn't recommend Ezoic for many reasons. It slows down websitess despite the Cloudflare tool in its dashboard.
Ezoic is good if you do not understand ad placements. But if you do, then there is no need to use Ezoic. Mediavine or Monetizemore are GCPP jst like Ezoic but better.
The girl is hypocrite... stylishly avoiding to answer the questions
She didn't answer the questions. Seeing this 19 minutes long video and the number of f-bombs she threw makes me wonder why someone will be broke and have the type of attitude she has.
She confirmed it was a partnership but then Jude seized her Vevo account. This was before she said she didn't owe him. If she isn't owing, how come your Vevo account is seized by a supposed partner is she did nothing?
Blakjewelry: At this rate pressure is mounting, even the government will have to succumb
I strongly doubt. If Obasa, a speaker fronting for Tinubu in the LAHA can be as crazy as this in pilfering, then wait until you hear what 'the government' is stealing or sitting on as personal resources.
Blakjewelry: I bet you this guy is going down soon
Obasa is going nowhere. The EFCC eagle is blind because Obasa is one of Tinubu's pawns and he is representing well. The only way he falls is the day he squares off with his boss. Interestingly, Tinubu is bigger than the EFCC and those loyal to him are, by extension, under the shadow of his almighty.
I'm actually wondering how a personal spiritual exercise of elected officials suddenly becomes the affair of as state! Are they fasting for the betterment of the state or is there something these guys are not telling anyone?
'Feeding throughout the fasting period - N28 million' 'Assorted fruits - N4.5 million' Water and Drinks - N8 million'
Obasa should have just told us he is a camel. N8 million for water and drinks for 30 days for less than 40 people? The ironic thing is that the month was supposed to be a 'holy month' but this MVP did his magic before the fast.
And the painful part of this is that the shameless Speaker conveniently bragged, saying 'ninalowo' while one of Tinubu's stooge, Dele Momodu interviewed him recently.
Assorted fruits, plus water and drinks - N12.5 million. LMAO!
And the clown shared N100 Agege bread for an entire household as palliative. Choi!
EXPOSED: How Lagos Assembly Speaker, Obasa, Approved N40.5m For Feeding Of Less Than 40 Muslim Lawmakers For 2018 Ramadan Fast
In this latest expose, Obasa and his protocol officer, a lady alleged to be his mistress, took over the responsibility of the House Committee on Services charged with welfare of members of the Assembly by approving N40,500,000 for feeding of less than 40 Muslim lawmakers in the Lagos legislature for the 2018 Ramadan fast.
Another corrupt activity involving Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has been exposed.
In a document seen by SaharaReporters, Obasa approved N28,000,000 for foods, N4,500,000 for assorted fruits and N8,000,000 for drinks for ‘500 guests’ during that year’s Ramadan fast.
“To this end as customary in the House, may I call your attention to the need to make preparations for the provision of foods, fruits and drinks throughout the fast period for honourable members, LAHA Muslim community, friends, the needy and well-wishers estimated to be 500 persons.
“Feeding throughout the fast period i.e (30 days) assorted food N28,000,000.00, assorted fruits (30 days) N4,500,000.00, water and drinks N8,000,000.00, total N40,500,000.00.
“In view of the above, you may wish to consider the rising cost of the food items that has escalated within the last few month, seek and obtain the approval of the Rt. Honourable Speaker, the release of the sum of N40,500,000 (Forty million five hundred thousand naira only) being the amount to be expended on foods, fruits and drinks throughout the fasting period of 30 days,” the document signed by Adenike Ajibosin, Foreign Relations and Protocol Officer to the Speaker, read.
Findings by SaharaReporters showed that less than 25 out of the 40 lawmakers in the Lagos Assembly are Muslim and the House only sits four times in a week excluding weekends.
By this calculation therefore, it means that members of the House sit between 16 to 18 days in a month and not the 30 days budgeted for in the document seen by SaharaReporters.
But despite this glaring fact, the N40.5m budget was expressly approved by Obasa without any form of scrutiny.
“There are 40 members in the Assembly with 40 per cent Christian membership and Obasa budgeted to feed 500 persons.
“Even Muslim members do not stay in the Assembly till the time for breaking of fast in the evening. Sitting of Assembly ends by 4pm in order to allow lawmakers return to their houses to break the fast with their family members.
“The House sits only four days in a week, making 16 to 18 days in a month and the Speaker and his mistress made a huge budget for 30 days, including 12 days of weekend,” a worker at the Assembly told SaharaReporters.
Recall that in a series of reports in recent days, SaharaReporters had exposed how Obasa awarded contracts to himself using different companies owned by him and how he got the Assembly to approve N258m for printing of invitation cards for the inauguration of lawmakers two months after the event held.
While Obasa orchestrated the disbursement of N10m monthly allocation to his wife under the guise of gender inclusiveness programme for women, he also received N17m monthly to maintain his personal residence and guest house.
It the latest of the series, 64 bank accounts were discovered to be linked to the Bank Verification Number of the Lagos Assembly Speaker.
The BVN: 2296663231, reveals that Obasa operates accounts with multiple names in Polaris Bank, Zenith Bank, Access Bank, Ecobank Nigeria, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, United Bank for Africa, First City Monument Bank and Wema Bank.
Following these revelations, several groups across Nigeria have petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to investigate Obasa and prosecute him for gross financial misappropriation.
In a recent Instagram Live interview staged to launder his plundering image, Obasa said that “money was meant to be spent” is response to the allegations of grand corruption against him.
The state Council ordered the hit on Prodest Hostel and also decided it best to have the manager of the hotel in detention under the guise of testing positive for Coronavirus. Politicians tell lies like their lives depend on it, no doubt.
The governor made the comments on Tuesday after coming under intense public fire for several days with many individuals and groups calling for his ‘head’.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has denied solely taking the decision to demolish two hotels in the state for violation of Coronavirus lockdown order.
The governor made the comments on Tuesday after coming under intense public fire for several days with many individuals and groups calling for his ‘head’.
He said, "I don't take decisions alone in the fight against COVID-19. All decisions are taken by the State Security Council and they are for the overall interest of Rivers people.
"You know people applaud government decisions when it suits them but when it does not favour them they say it is politically motivated.
"Rivers State Government does not have anything against hoteliers in the state, but decided to shut down their activities because some cases of COVID-19 were recorded in hotels."
Governor Wike also blamed the hoteliers for failing to assist government in providing relevant information regarding those that test positive for Coronavirus in their facilities.
According to him, adequate information would have helped the state’s Ministry of Health and other relevant agencies to carry out proper contact tracing.
Naija4love: did jude paid you for this trash you put in nairaland and did you think everyone in nairaland stupid an don't know what contract agreement is, did you see the copyright agreement or you just do as they told you.tell me How Cynthia Morgan is going to use that name when all the copyright of the song belong to the company and did you know what they call 360? Everything she makes will be shared
Apparently, one of the many Ishi mentioned has surfaced.
EVERY MUSIC LABEL OWNS ANY SONG AN ARTIST PRODUCES WHILE A CONTRACT BINDS THEM. It is always stated in the contracts and this is why musicians can't just sing any of their own songs even when they have issues with their labels. You might want to take crash course and learn from Kenny's Music of way back.
Also, it turns out you don't know what a 360 deal is in music. Not to worry, today is your lucky day.
In the music industry, a 360 deal (from 360° deal) is a business relationship between an artist and a music industry company. The company agrees to provide financial and other support for the artist, including direct advances as well as support in marketing, promotion, touring and other areas. In turn, the artist agrees to give the company a percentage of an increased number of their revenue streams, often including sales of recorded music, live performances, publishing and more.
This business arrangement is an alternative to the traditional recording contract. In a 360 deal, a company typically provides support to an artist in more areas than covered by a traditional recording contract on the condition of receiving a percentage of revenue from these additional areas. During the first decade of the 21st century, revenues from recorded music fell dramatically and the profit margins traditionally associated with the record industry disappeared. The 360 deal reflects the fact that much of a musician's income now comes from sources other than recorded music, such as live performance and merchandise.
Shaprara: I don't interpret her statement to be a lie, I'm not a lawyer but what I interpret the statement to be particularly the use of name and image clause in Number 10 of the contract is that, her name, and every material that has her name on it during the duration of the contract belongs to the company and the company can use the name and her image in accordance with the contract. Meaning she herself can't perform a song she recorded under the company, or use the image she had under the company or use any material she had with the company under her name.
The emboldened is the industry standard. Kiss Daniel had to change to Kizz because his was worse. His record label laid a claim to the name and they won in court. Northside's was the duration of her contract.
With the way it works in Nigeria, can you 100% agree that if cythia Morgan had released a track, featured another artiste or any material under the name Cynthia morgan, the company won't lay claim to it ?
The company will ONLY IF she still has a running contract with the label. Think about this, Reekado Banks and Tiwa Savage parted with Mavin and Don Jazzy gladly announced them on social media, wishing them the best. If Cynthia had requested to part with agreeable terms, what would have held Northside from allowing her leave when their partnership is 50-50?
I use kiss Daniel for example, his former label owned the rights to all of his music and all material under the name kiss Daniel that he had with the company, when he left he released some tracks and the former label said the name belonged to the label and all proceeds belonged to the label as far as he uses that name, then he was forced to change the name and till date he doesn't perform any songs he had with the former label. I believe Mr Jude will do the same cos that's like the general things amongst some music executives.
I already used this above as well and explained the difference in both cases. Kiss Daniel's former label milked him even though they got him his apartment and car. The sharing formula was so bad that it went round that he was paid N30,000 monthly. Yes, 30k, because the label paid for everything, including his tours.
Mr Jude never said Cynthia didn't fulfill her ownside of the agreement, how come she owes him $40m abi na Naira ?
Jude wasn't even the one who said Cynthia Morgan owed him N40m. It was her own manager who signed her and then handed her over to a batter label, in this case, Northside. She also said CM owe her as well.
All Jude has done so far is dispel CM's claim and then release the contract for the world to see.
jaxxy: Not bills Bt debts. It’s abit different. Manger claims she owes her $30,000. I don’t know how this can be true.
It is possible she owed that amount. All she needs is a record label. Word on the street say she was a junkie, which was the main reason she disappeared from the music scene in the first place.
Northside isn't even dragging a thing with her and I believe that is good for her.
jrusky: Going through this contract I noticed something is not right, I noticed *greed contract clause* or I called *career slavery contract* by seen sharing profit 50/50 for upcoming artist that clause is a complete dream killing contract clause.
I don't know Cynthia infact I'm hearing of her for the first time 2 days ago and Jude himself I only know he existed when Paul and Peter career began and lately about the marital fracas between his 2 siblings that was all.
Whatever happened let both put all behind and move on. MayD also dropped his unhapoiness with same Jude so let us not be too emotion as per things if few people speak ill of someone pls check that person life well possibly something not right somewhere.
50-50 is a partnership already. The ideal sharing formula with most record labels is 70-30 (for 'B' rated), and 60-40 (for A list artists). Kizz Daniel wouldn't have left G-Worldwide if he was earning 70-30.
Northside's with Cynthia Morgan is generosity personified.
jaxxy: She has debts to pay. Let her raise as much as she can. There no doubt shes talents bt dad attitude got the best of her just like burna boy once upon a time faded into oblivion cos of attitude. Hopefully her great talent brings her back like odogwu. Lol
The dollar currently trades at N461 at the black market.
461x150000 will give us N69,150,000 (N69 million)
We all have bills to pay and I'm sure upcoming acts don't need as much as N70m to get recognition in the music industry.
skyhighweb: bros the contract no even make sense its like saying u can eat that meat but dont swallow
It makes sense, bros. I find musical contracts fascinating and even had to compare this with Kizz Daniel's. The difference is not only clear but huge. What Northside had with Cynthia Morgan was more like a partnership; a 50-50 venture which is crazy good.
All she needed was her own part of the money when campaigns, and productions came calling. That of Kizz Daniel saw the label pay him N30,000 (thirty thousand Naira ONLY) monthly while they 'recoup' what they spent on his head.
Northside stated that the only time it reserved the right to use Cynthia Morgan's name is when they want to promote her materials and that she must approve. That isn't stripping her of the name.
I wouldn't say so. Peter's issue with him, May D's recent outburst and Cynthia Morgan's won't put him in good light no matter how much we see it. However, that of CM seems to be a lie as revealed by the contract.
