Car TalkRe: Please Can A Kia Picanto Transit Between Lagos And Port Harcourt by sandee575(f): 1:58pm On Sep 24, 2009
Seriously Picanto or any of those bloody aluminium on tyres called Kia's are not capable. . . .
No disrespect though!

Haba, threre's been a lot of improvement on Korean automobile technology and its closing
on to the Japanese position. Kia and Hyundai are dishing out good and affordable cars recently.
Its that slogan that pisses me "KIA, the car that cares".   STUPID.
Car TalkRe: Please Can A Kia Picanto Transit Between Lagos And Port Harcourt by sandee575(f): 1:21pm On Sep 24, 2009
Dont ever try it!!!! Picanto is a light utility car and not strong enough for such an adventure
as yours. Take to previous advice on a good Tokunbo, for example the Toyota Camry 1998.
Picanto is meant for teenage female students on a private university campus.

@german007 That point does not hold water. Nobody is denying his right to existence but when you strive for a political position which could ultimately affect me, my guy i want to know your history, your associates and your family history. Look at what happened recently. The ambassador appointed by Nigeria to the US was rejected by America because the man's son has a criminal record. The ambassador never committed a crime but he was held accountable for the actions of his son. The world is moving on, we better upgrade our social and moral syllabus.

Public office aspirants are subject to background scrutiny. He couldnt have a worse family-tie background.

But one can imagine that the people of Kano state, Abacha's state, still see father and son as their own and who
have done no wrong before their eyes. A good number of them are prodding Mohammed to contest for governorship
not because of his leadership qualities but in anticipation of the opportunity that will afford them to share out of the LOOT.

INEC has lawyers that can convince the courts to rule that he cant contest,
given the story so far.

INEC has enough legal backing to disqualify him but are they patriotic enough

PoliticsRe: Is Power Supply Improving In Your Neighbourhood? by sandee575(f): 1:10pm On Sep 09, 2009
Lagos seems to be doing better in the last
three weeks. But as always, increase in power supply
gets too much for the tranformers to handle so they start
blowing up taking us back to darkness.

I had that problem and it generated to occasional bleeding even

mouthwash was excessive and that i had not been to the dentist for
the six monthly recommended dentist cleaning. I stopped using Listerine
temporarily and visited the dentist. It could cost you some money but its money
well spent. SEE A GOOD DENTIST

TravelRe: Bellview: The Worst Airline In Nigeria. Don't Try It! by sandee575(f): 11:07am On Aug 28, 2009
Thanks sandee575, I think you are right.
But is this the normal practice in airports all around the world? Or it is a Nigerian thing?
Should passengers not be informed of this?

It is a normal practice in airports around the world particularly when the airport authorities anticipate
that for some reason(s) the pilot will experiece difficulty in finding his way to his allocated parking bay. But
in most cases the pilot should be able to taxi there unassisted by reference to the airports published taxi
procedures chart, a copy which is expected to be available on board the aeroplane. Information to passengers
concerning this is considered as unnecessary.
TravelRe: Bellview: The Worst Airline In Nigeria. Don't Try It! by sandee575(f): 10:20am On Aug 28, 2009
Jokes apart, I arrived Abuja on a KLM flight on August 10, this year and you could not believe what I saw. The runway had no lights and our plane was actually led to the arrival terminal by a pick-up van. So anytime you are going to land in a Nigeria Airport, please pray fervently.

The pick-up van is known as the "Follow-Me" vehicle, an assistance to the pilot to taxi easily to the parking bay especially at night when he had less cues to guide him. Your plane wouldnt be able to land without runway lights, maybe some taxiway lights were not functioning.
FashionWhy Are The Traditional Hairdo's Been Discarded For Artificial Hair? by sandee575(op): 10:44am On Aug 27, 2009
Its no news that almost all African women have to resort to "doing" their
hair with artificial means since their natural hair has difficulty with growth.
The old traditional hairdos have been discarded for fake appearances and
my God, some can be so repulsive.

Obviously, its got to be the risks involved and like someone said, we would have

PoliticsMilitants Blow Utorogu Gas Plant, Power Drops By 1,000 Mw by sandee575(op): 12:03pm On Aug 14, 2009
Fellow countrymen, its with utmost sadness that we have to be informed yet again of the crippling consequencies of militancy on our power generation. Just yesterday the Utorogu Gas Plant was bombed and whatever improvement was witnessed in power supply over the past few days is now lost as a result. Question: Why havent the armed forces been made to guard these facilities since the commencement of these incessant attacks on our gas and power plants?

first son proceed on pilot training.

I think you want to marry someone you wish to
live the rest of your life with and not vetting an
applicant's credentials for a position in the ministry.
Bedwise, that wife will only be as satisfying to you
in proportion to her happiness with you.

“I make bold to declare to you that I am with you soul, spirit and body. And mark my words, whatever happens to you today happens to me. I am your true friend like the dove to the pigeon, and by the grace of God, so will I humbly, yet proudly, remain till the very end,” to which Ironsi replied.

Yes, Francis, I retain my absolute confidence in you. I have never doubted your integrity

Sounds like these propagandists have been reading too much William Shakespeare. Or when did
Nigerian soldiers start speaking that manner of English? After pepersoup in the Officers mess?

Lastpage,
I would rather learn to drive before owning a car. So would i want to fill the potholes on my roads before embarking
on constructing water fountains at my roundabouts and junctions, i would build estates for the people to live in to bring
rent rates down before having visions of banning advance rents, i would emulate the Ghanaian government's success at
providing electricity for their people even as their President has no jet of his to fly in (we have a fleet), etc

SEVN, that guy only wanted advice on which of the two offers would be more fulfilling
to him at this time and not "pay" as per salary. Bad-bele clouded your reasoning power
such that unlike previous post replies that had congratulated, advised and even prayed for him,
yours came on wearing mu-mu garb.

Nigerians are a rare breed of people. We have absolutely no love for ourselves. Ultimately we now find ourselves relating like wild animals
in a jungle. From bad people evolve bad leaders. When a Gov. Fashola emerges miraculously with good plans for his people, the same people
set out to frustrate these plans. No advance payment sounds humane enough but with the "kings of the jungle" on the prowl, im sorry, its just not
feasible. Sick society.

Christianity EtcRe: Religion Is Phony by sandee575(f): 12:09pm On Jul 13, 2009
Religion isnt science. It isnt about academics. It is a way of life. Believers receive guidance. They have something
to lean on in the world of mystery. If you can cope without religion, fair enough. Not many are as daring. So dont
go on seeking loopholes in the system. Its ever so futile. Just be a GOOD boy. OK.
