SportsRe: Should The U-17 Boys Replace The Super Eagles? by sandee575(f): 1:52pm On Nov 13, 2009
@poster,
I had the same thoughts last night as i watched these boys perform.
They exhibited such determination that winners are supposed to have
unlike our Super Eagles. However, by the time in future when they start
making huge money in foreign clubsides i think they will think less of national
appearances. For now, they seek that recognition and must play their hearts out.
RomanceRe: Why Should A Man Not Hit A Woman? by sandee575(f): 2:23pm On Nov 12, 2009
It smacks of barbarism for a man to elect to beat a woman for any reason. I witnessed a scene on a Lagos
road following a car accident between a man and a lady. The lady aggressively slapped the man in the heat
of the argument that ensued. Those who expected the man to retaliate alike were disappointed when the man reached into his car
boot, produced a wheel spanner and knocked out the woman's car headlights. She stood there crying while the onlookers cheered the man.

TravelRe: Plane Touches Down At Akwa Ibom For 1st Time! (video) by sandee575(f): 11:47am On Oct 30, 2009
Akwa Ibom airport is a welcome development bearing in mind that the Calabar airport
can only accomodate Class C aircraft, such that the likes of wide bodies cannot land there
due short runway length. It is also planned to serve as an aircraft maintenance base with huge hangars
and handle cargo aircrat. Lofty ideas. But the fear is, just like virtually everything Nigerian, once the fanfare is over
and all the contract kickbacks have been obtained, its byebye to the whole concept of the airport. Maintenance of infrastructure
goes haywire, equipment suffer deterioration, the grass overgrows, water ceases to flow , ,  ,  ,

PoliticsRe: Bode George Is Sentenced To 2 Years! Not Enough! by sandee575(f): 12:33pm On Oct 28, 2009
@mccloud224,

im happy we share the same opinion here. Only that i disagree with your
assessment that jail is worth going if it is justified by the loot at stake and
the disproportionate little sentence. Prison is dehumanising. The loss of freedom,
the subjection to strange routines, the mix-up with criminals, the exposure to danger
from disease and inmates. No amount of money should be worth your freedom and dignity.

PoliticsRe: Bode George Is Sentenced To 2 Years! Not Enough! by sandee575(f): 11:44am On Oct 28, 2009
Its rare to secure a conviction on such a personality in Nigeria so i join others
in giving kudos to the judge and others that had assisted in bringing "Boy George"
to book. While agreeing that two years is too too small a sentence, lets take consolation
in the fact that the convict in him will stigmatize him forever and keep his mouth shut for a long time.

BusinessRe: Lagos To Introduce Electric Vehicles In 2010[in A Blackout Nation] by sandee575(f): 1:30pm On Oct 23, 2009
Lagos is working but not sufficiently there yet to (even) list global warming among its challenges. Air pollution sounds more tenable.
Electric mass transit system would also have been laudable if the means were there to actualise it.

You guys offering this guy six cylinder cars, a/c, power this and that, i wonder
how he will cope with subsequent maintenance after offering you the 200k
life savings. He does not qualify to own a car yet. No offence meant though.

The most senseless contribution to the stereotyping world is the opinion that faithfulness has
to do with the colour of your skin.
