At least, Two people have "specifically said" THIS INCIDENT IS NOT TRUE!

Sadly, Ryan Air CONFIRMED that it is TRUE, on their website!

Question is: WHY WOULD MY NAIJA PEEPS MAKE-UP EXCUZES FOR OYINBO PEOPLE?

BUT will NEVER CUT SLACK FOR A FELLOW BLACK BROOD?

Granted, they are technologically more advance than us, in a broad sense but does that make them infallible, super-human or immune to mistakes or foolish behavior?

Imagine:
1.)They just fixed a window => The seal needs time to dry-up and be firm enough to withstand pressure.
Any reasonable airline that cherishes human life over profit will ground that plane for a day or at least some hours. RYAN AIR PUT IT IN THE AIR!

2.) They used Tape to secure it (as an extra precaution)  => By doing this, it shows they already knew or had the premonition that the seal has not harden enough to withstand the pressure. But they careless about human lives but would rather gamble with passenger lives!

3.)That the Tape started coming-off, 20mnutes into the flight => our fears in (1) and (2) above are justified!
Like a former Pilot on-board that flight said: The Pilot could have been sucked-out of the plane in mid-air (That was a former Pilot talking, not me and you that have never flown a plane so, dont start to prove or act smarter!)

4.) Being a "budget airline" is NOT AN EXCUSE to put people's life at risk, in such a manner!
Something "a few hours wait" could have resolved (and to think that the Pilot still went-on to abort the flight and they lost the same time (or even more hours) that they were trying to save!
Reducing "cost of ticket" is an economic decision to attract more passengers so you can "make-up" the perceived loss in income, from "Volume Trading"! Its not by force and it not a license for attempted murder!

In all these, all we could hear our "black brothers" say is "as long as it is Onyebeeke people doing the stupewdity, nothing spoil!
You see? You see what "INFERIORITY COMPLEX" does to human mind?

Like some have said, if it was Chachnagi or Bellview Airlines, my people will be howling all over the place like foxes and hyenas, hyperventilating about how savage and crude Nigerians are!

Leave them now.They dont even know jack about aircrafts to judge wether what was done was right or wrong.Let them not start lookin for how to make our country better.I dont know exactly wether it was right or wrong for them to have done that but I still maintain that the white people have gone pass using cellotape to patch planes.If something went wrong and u look deeply into the matter,a black man's hand must be involved.

First of all, Ryanair is not British but Irish.
  What the repair technicians did was not as silly as the news made it seem, those who know about aircraft know fully well that the air inside aeroplanes is pressurised just like vehicle tyres, and therefore, those technician know better than to expect an ordinary piece of tape to secure a wind-shield window strong enough to hold extreme presure compressed air from gushing out of the plane.
  And having giving my perspective, i do agree with this explanation: "The Irish Aviation Authority said the tape was being used as an extra precaution to secure a new window seal".

I am currently studying Info Security which is related to forensics here in the UK, the police here in the UK use a software called ENCASE. i Didnt hear of it in Nigeria till i got here.I Dont think tht course is relevant in Nigeria

But I do not know anybody who has gone to Australia from Nigeria (The Embassy in Abuja does not even issue visas. You need to send applications to South Africa which can take between 8 months and 1 year and Canadian embassy in Nigeria always refer people to the Ghana Office for student and permanent residency visas)

Australia is the ONLY country in the world I know where the overwhelming Nigerian population are well-off and not into illegalities or hustling menial jobs unlike the UK, Ireland or the US.

Reason is simple:

They are all students and experts (doctors, professors, etc)

It's the easiest way to get in and it's darn life-changing! Plus, getting a permanent residence in Australia (and Canada too) is easy after 3 years.

Boko Haram to FG "Total Shari'a in Nigeria or no Peace"

The militant Islamic group, Boko Haram, which has been responsible for much of the insecurity in Nigeria due to it's spate of bombings and attacks on security forces has sent an email to major news outlets signed by it's spokesman, Abu Qaqa, to say that there will be no peace in Nigeria until there is a total implementation of Shari'a law in Nigeria.

Their email which was written in Hausa language had the following message to Nigerians and the authorities "the country would not have peace until there is 100 per cent implementation of Sharia law in the country as enshrined in the holy Quran as well as immediate release of all our members who were detained and in the custody of security agencies for no just cause”.

The group which has been celebrating the fact that the FG held a low level Independence Day celebration apparently because of them also declared that they had no iota of respect for the Sultan of Sokoto and other traditional rulers from the North.In his email, Qaqa disqualified the Sultan thus "our position is that the Sultan is just a traditional ruler who revolted against the teachings of his ancestors and put the Nigerian Constitution ahead of the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the traditions of the Prophet.”

This is not surprising especially as NaijaPundit had earlier published a leaked wikileaks cable in which the Buhari team had told American Embassy officials that they had no confidence in the Northern Traditional rulers in general while naming the Sultan of Sokoto and the emir of Kano specifically as people who had tried to corrupt the judiciary.



This agenda of Islamising Nigeria while alarming to some is nothing new to students of history who would recall that this has always been the agenda of the Northern establishment right from pre colonial times.

For instance the First Premier of the North, the revered Sir Ahmadu Bello did say only eleven days after Nigeria's independence that "The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather Othman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the north as willing tools and the south as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us and never allow them to have control over their future." – Parrot Newspaper October 12, 1960.

Nigerians may also recall that the late Sheik Abubakar Gumi had advocated that Nigeria should be ruled exclusively by Muslims.



Nigerians may also recall the statement credited to former Military Head of State Buhari to the effect that Muslims should only vote for a Muslim candidate. Of course Buhari later clarified his statement that what he meant was that Muslims should only vote for those who will promote their religion. How that differs from his original statement is still a mystery. But of course Nigerians do remember that religion was used by Buhari's party, the CPC to campaign and mobilize during the last elections.



How the FG hopes to contain Boko Haram remains to be seen especially going by their latest email but most Nigerians are scratching their heads and asking themselves whether there is any correlation between the comments made by a prominent member of the Northern establishment, Lawal Kaita, to the effect that "we (who are this "we?) will make Nigeria ungovernable for Jonathan" if he wins.

Now that Jonathan has won and attempts are being made to make Nigeria ungovernable, many Nigerians are telling Jonathan that yes he may not need to be a "lion" but Nigeria needs a leader that is also not a sheep!
