peeps4u:Honestly, I believe legend knows he's trying to rub it in. He's been lashed out by many but despite that he's successful. I'm not speaking for myself but simply pleading he forgives his haters for now. They need his support now. The country is on lockdown. Many of these guys insulting him are without handwork, unemployed and even those with these things still suffer. He should have mercy. |
iLegendd:I think you get my point. The majority of persons here know you are not broke. There are many ways to get at the haters and still sell your books for now. Many people online need both mental and financial support this period, let's start with mental. We can forgive even our enemies and pause trolling them now. Just like pocohontas (with many haters) did with her enemies, now is time for support. |
But ilegend, don't you think this post is making mockery of those who cannot afford to eat? This is a hard period and there are many hungry here who are broken by this perpetual mockery? You don't think so? |
iLegendd:Okay. Thank you. |
But ilegend, how do you create a Payoneer account without a National I.D card? |
Sanchez01:Nigerians are not helping themselves either. We are too stubborn and poverty has made us deaf. People have refused to wear masks and/or gloves and even the officers enforcing the lockdown are without any protection. The officers could be carriers by now. I pity the masses. Just like the video of the man whose infected daughter was left to die, the poor cannot even get tested and when they are lucky to have a test, treatment is based on class. Despite these, we are not helping ourselves. From handshakes to gathering of more than 20 we've broken it all. Our leaders also help us to break it further, maybe out of guilt for their incompetence. You are against a gathering of 50 but you will gather hundreds for bread. Smh. We are in trouble. |
ORIENTATION101:How are his points too watery? Are you sure you read them at all? Let's start from the first one. If we had shut the borders earlier and restricted foreign flights or even quarantined people (not the self-quarantine nonsense) what is the likelihood we'd be here? A president addressed us after 25 days in a 25 seconds video and he spoke of a certain Covik 1-9 and that was well handled? Knowing Nigerians, was it wise to ask anyone to self quarantine? Where is the sense in that? You don't see how an address calms anything? Why do you think the fake news are spreading? Why do people even share these fake news? You see, humans are built to look for comfort, more like homeostasis in times of distress, and for a reasonable Government, the importance of hijacking the narrative and establishing that comfort is paramount. |
Now I see why the WHO warned the African case could be worse. Just factor in the constants. We are not a very rich people and isolation will only allow hunger to kill us. But when the human is pushed to extremes, he acts and that will imply the disobedience of the lockdown and more infections. Then the test kits. If we can acquire the new five minutes test kits then we have a chance. This 100 tests per day is far behind. The infection is on a geometric progressiion and tests are in arithmetic numbers. We can't catch up and knowing our leaders for what they are, we are doomed. The best way of fighting a thing when you lack capacity is by making sure you never fight it. Closing the borders earlier and stopping all international flights would have been the key but now we've lost that window. This could be the last stroke on the camel's back though but even if we survive, I doubt we'd learn from it. Then there is the stubbornness of the masses. There is no strict adherence to the wearing of facemasks and hand gloves. These soldiers blocking our streets should also look into that and not just their usual barbaric bullying of the masses. Unfortunately, even the officers enforcing the lockdown wear no facemasks. Smh. This could be the end. |
helinues:How exactly is this gibberish? Didn't we have a headstart like he wrote? If we had closed all borders and shut all international flights, will this mess exist? We may not survive the consequences of that irresponsible act. How long will poor Nigerians stay indoors? Like the head of the NCDC said, for now 100 tests is done in the day and they are looking to raise the number to 500 by next week, do the consequences of that action still elude you? |
javijabor:Lol. If you understand how Civil Service works, you will pity for many people. The only time you have to save is when you are single. Even then, it is still not easy. The salary is not enough. |
ImadeUReadThis:How did you know this? |
Hello Mr Seun, have you paid to censor the use of chloroquine? Did the Government or somebody pay you to keep certain news out of site? Clarify. |
Sokosuji:You can speak for yourself, if you are actually from imo or Orlu in the first place. What's the man's legacy in Orlu? But it is not even about his bad qualities but the fact that majority of imoliites never voted him. His sole campaign was just to attack Uche Nwosu and Rochas. Why will the SC choose leaders for us in a democracy? |
NaijaRoyalty:This is the line I don't support. Leave APC out of it. This is about human beings. Rochas was a piece of shit and those of us from Orlu Zone, where Hope represented, know so well that you will find better qualities in a vormit than in the man. Hope was never an option. If not for Rochas, many of us would have bought into Uche Nwosu's ticket. But hope is not an option. I hope he disappoints us by performing so well but sincerely speaking, I don't see it. And the point is not really that Hope is messed up but the fact that our votes were treated as trash. People vote assholes. We have voted assholes in the past. We have so many assholes in our state House of representatives but the point is, when the people decide to vote (even assholes like they did with Buhari in 2015) it shouldn't be twisted by wig wearing infallibles. |
seunmsg:That's nonsense. Allow people who want to protest injustice to do so. This mentality is fuc'ked up. Because they have refused to speak up or because you are not listening enough, the people who choose to do so need to shut up? If you want to go to bed and make love with injustice you can do so but please allow people who still have their humanity intact to complain. It is hard to swallow what happened in Imo if you are an Imolite in Imo. It's hard. The mind of the average Nigerian has been tampered and corrupted by bad governance and injustice and even when you try to fight against these vices, these deformed minds gang up and play the role of the house Nigger. You wrote like a house nigger. |
Good one but not enough. Government is the people's and not the other way round. What's the point of going to the polls and some wig wearing dictators keep choosing leaders for us? The same nonsense was done in Bayelsa. It is high time we understood what Government really means. Your worker can't be more powerful than you are. But this is not enough. A gang of thieves who call themselves politicians can't use another gang of thieves called judges to truncate the mandate of the people. This is not enough. |
What position? Lecturer I or II, Senior Lecturer or Assistant Lecturer? The salary is too poor though. |
Jack500:More prospects like what exactly? |
TechCapon:I think you are the stupid one. Contractors were already on site. Portable water was already settled three months ago in some areas (and not in most areas as the media and their dumb victims believe) before his deal at the Supreme court. Only those in Imo know that Hope is yet to do anything. The dumb ones outside Imo can continue to yap about illusions. I'm hoping for the best but on a honest note, I don't think he planned or prepared for victory and governance. Only those outside Imo see the vendetta you are talking about. If you were smart you'd know that protesting (against the absurd) can never be wrong. In all my chats with Imolites in Imo I'm yet to meet anyone who campaigned or voted for him. You expect people to be quiet about that? |
God is great? Smh. Women did a good job but we should praise God instead. Crazy world! I do well and God is great but when I do bad, I'm an ass. Smh. |
For real? And I have been saving one beneficiary for months without success. Other apps must be terrible then. |
khiaa:I don't have energy for this. |
timota:Smh. I'd like to hear their reason then. |
But how exactly is that possible? What is the basis for the judgement. Uche Nwosu came second and hope a distant third, how then was the victory calculated? |
chigoizie7:For whom? For a Christian? It is not like he said it is but the nature of the giving is his problem. If we really want to give why to celebrate a life lived for the poor why give to the rich who probably also cooked their own meals? Many people do not know what they are doing. They are Christians but giving is not compulsory. They celebrate Christmas but the poor shouldn't expect gifts. |
Diegobonito:Bullshit. Any human being with a healthy sense of what is right and wrong detests trump. Trump is more like the filth behind the filth. But he is useful. |
chigoizie7:I don't think it is a sense of entitlement. It behoves on the adherents of the Christian faith to share. It is not a choice but compulsory. And if you read the article well the dude is not really angry at their lack of giving but their choice of giving. Basically, his point is, why feed the well fed when the hungry are still around you? Can such jaundiced giving be from a contrite heart? Is such Christian? Finally, do they really know what they are doing? I don't think many people do. |
khiaa:Everything has pagan origin. The Scandinavian Gods are fully entrenched in our daily life. From Moon Day to Sun Day and Janus there impact is everywhere but what is it that makes something wrong? If today is the day is the day demons celebrate their feast and I also choose today as the day of celebration of my feast, how exactly am I celebrating demons? What is it that makes a thing wrong? Isn't it the essence? Is anything wrong because of the origin or because of the essence? What exactly do Christians do on Christmas and how does that thing justify your argument? Dates are pagan, the months are pagan and so are the years and the astronomy of the Eras. So, to our main problem, how exactly will sharing with the poor, irrespective of the festival, be wrong if the goal is to help? |
khiaa:But as Christians celebrating Christmas and New Year, does this still hold? |
