someone earning 30k will pay tax of roughly 3k/annum ..... (s)he has abt 25k left. Financial intelligence &discipline are quite important .

2,000 cad per month can still allow for savings for someone smart.

Housing + other home utilities ----1050cad
transportation------ transit (100cad) if transit , it could be about 50 cad with a subsidy based on income
feeding----- 200cad
Phone bills ---- 50 cad
other expenses ------ 100 cad.(toiletries, occassional clothes and shoes e.t.c)

Total is $1500 (1050 +100+200+50+100)
$2000-$1500 -= $500 possibly for savings

But an idiot earning that low will possibly spend foolishly and may acquire the latest BenZ wink grin and paying installmentally.
Exactly!

There’s no way you’ll save $1000 if you make $2500 monthly; unless you still live with your parents and they’re helping out with few things . That’s the honest truth
There is. And no you don’t need to live with your parents. Where do you live?

It doesn't strike anyone as odd that he can raise 4M in Nigeria? Ask those in Canada, US, or UK if they've been able to save 4M - with no outstanding obligations like debt - in the time they've worked there.
How long did he save it? How long are you giving the people in Canada?

As a student I had saved 4million then.
And as a working class many people make this money easily in months..
The way you guys talk sef eh.. like you don’t pay house rents and bills too

I’m gonna be honest and say Canada is way better than Nigeria and no bills are not gonn’ kill you. Many people here pay it and still have mansions down there!

@ OP i would like to ask u some few questions. How old are you ? if you are above 40years i would advice you stay in Nigeria and make your money and enjoy ur self. people in abroad find it hard to gather that money, you have bills to pay, hydro, water, rent, INTERNET bills, car insurance my brother these are all the witches and wizard we have in the abroad. it is taxes taxes upon taxes. I just read some comments and laugh. even those who are successful are heavily taxed like fat cows. if you buy house for abroad if you wan sell after 25 years government of Canada or U.K or USA would collect 50% from the profit you make, i have been in Canada now for two years. my people oyinbo be like devil them collect N100 from you give u N10. my brother my advice if you can maintain and calm down u would be surprised God can give you insight. however if you are young and not married, say you are 30 years then you can consider traveling out. again this is my advice it should not form a generalized opinion. Again experience is a pleasant teacher. smiley
Then Go home. Stop lying crap! Don’t Nigerians have bills. Where are you in Canada sef!

He can migrate at any age for his safety and that of his kids.

From 2500?
Are you kidding me?!

Except you are someone who parties and buys drinks and live beyond your means. You should be able to save a thousand from that money monthly.
And also depending on the city you live in

I'm not doubting you but many who traveled later regretted saying if they had known what they'll encounter, they would have never gone in the first place.

Many doing menial jobs aren't happy but shame won't make them come home. The pay over there may seem high in Naira but won't get you far.
Well if you are a doctor in Nigeria it will take time to be accredited in Canada. Every course actually. There is no need to be ashamed. Menial jobs are for awhile

Like I always say, Nigeria is the most ignorant country on earth.

About 2 or 3 women have accused the same pastor of sexually assaulting them. Is he the only pastor in Nigeria?
Regardless of the truism or falseness of thee accusation, it’s not for us to defend the accused.

Rape is a very sensitive issue and victims are often traumatized for life. women that are brave enough to come out are shamed and their character attacked....

We need to stop this and be sympathetic to our women and children.

In as much as I am against the Rapist Pastor, it seems the only reason why Ayo Bankoke wants Segalink to sue the Pastor is for COZA to be closed down. Hmmm...this man is an enemy of Christ. Pastor Fatoyinbo should be charged and not for the church to be closed down.
Why is the church quiet. Everything should close. We have had enough!

Kindly point out to me where I started that I relocated the wrong way? My relocation was hazard free because of due diligence which I stated that I never had a bumpy ride and I also shared an experience of 3 different families I know of that had good paying jobs back in Nigeria then before relocating and they still haven't found their bearing till this moment.

People's experiences differ and there can never be a universal experience for everyone which is why we need to learn from other people's experiences so as to plan wisely and then make an informed decision.

Kindly read what I stated earlier again and make corrections on misrepresentations of what I stated.

The scenario you stated above has been happening for decades but sadly, not everyone secures a job from organizations that hires them and then go ahead to process a work permit which now enables them to have an SSN like in United States.

Do you have an idea of of hundred of thousands of professionals from all over the world trying to relocate through such a process? Many apply but few are lucky to get by and if it was as easy as you stated above because of one lucky family you know then Nigeria would have been empty by now because all professionals would have left a long time ago.

The scenario you mentioned above is one of the legitimate ways people do try to apply and see if they will be among the fortunate few they will get hired just like the same way millions of people play the then US Visa lottery which also is a legitimate means through which one can relocate but how many people out of the millions that applied are that lucky?

We ain't arguing about the legitimate means of relocating rather my advice is for the OP to apply due diligence and then make an a knowledge based decision.

Thanks.
He meant if you relocated the right way you’d have had the right to work or your friends, that is getting SSN. Not just as a visitor, visitors are not allowed to work But students are. Workers are too. If you are one of these, you will eventually find a job. But no you couldn’t work because you don’t have the right authorization is what he meant and rightly so. That’s illegitimate!

Now tell me, How did you relocate?
TravelRe: A Single Mum Wants To Relocate Abroad, Needs Ideas by Sarang(f): 2:35am On Jun 17, 2019

You relocated the wrong way

A family I know just relocated the right way. The lady applied for nursing job from Nigeria. She was employed after all the usual exchanges, etc. The company applied for work permit for the family.. wife husband and kids in Nigeria, and they were given.

Now tell me, will the family have any issues enjoying the relocation? Absolutely not!

So, OP, if you want to relocate, relocate the right way so that you can enjoy the fun of your relocation.

My take!
Correct!

In Canada, you need to be certified for all of these you listed above, i.e you need to go to school not long though. But yes, it is a good one
