Don't you think It's better I remain single all my life then live with someone who can't depend when people talk about me, that's evil.
I don't know the type of single hood you are talking about but I have a girlfriend whom we have been dating for sometime now, she has her own flaws but at least she has defended once and I know that.

Then I pity your girlfriend
Cause you have a girlfriend doesn’t make you a GOOD LOVER

Lol, best of luck. You'll soon find out that things are not always black and white....I hope it's not too late though.

@Op, please ignore advices like this, no matter how "independent" you think you are, divorce should only be a last resort.
I don't believe this single occurrence caused the current issue, it is an accumulated issue. look back and reflect

Op wait till he kills you.. then divorce him in death
Story for the universe!

There is a spiritual tone to what is happening to you...
the dark forces are after the stability of ur marriage and are working through ur husband native doctors...
it takes the deep to call the deep...
you need to turn everytin into the hand of God...
u cnt solve it with ur mortal power
then work on urself and try to be loving and patient...
everything will be okay at the end..
take heart....
i know it...

There is no spiritual whatever. Her husband is a typical egotistic, myopic, and self-serving Nigerian man who believes he is doing her a favor marrying her

This is a very honest and helpful submission. Feels like this almost perfectly described this Op's situation. A patriach steeped in traditions, while wife works and is also raising the child.

He needs a lot of relearning to do, and it'll be so damn hard. Divorce is the easy way out, that's if she can't cope with the unhappiness and "switch off" everything she's been going through.

Yours took ten years - things may be not be so irredeemable for the Op then.

Nope! She should start praying
I hope the native doctors don’t ask him to kill her

Get married first, put in 6 years and divorce at any slight misunderstandings, then come back to advice the OP.

I will get married with someone who can communicate their feelings. No I will not live in the same house with someone who deeply believes that I wish him ill.
Lastly I won’t marry a heartless person.
At least in the US, Nigerian men kill their wife like all the damn time.
If In 10 years after my marriage, my husband turn to any of these. I am done, yes! My life is more important than any godforsaken marriage!
I believe in DIVORCE and if many women do, they will still be ALIVE!

Man, there is nothing wrong with her. Nothing like talking too much.

She is a communicative person and likes to open up. Those are qualities of personality that does not hide something.. I know this cos I am same.

And she would be drained because her husband is the opposite. I wouldn't want to marry someone who does not understand basic communication requirements for sustaining a healthy relationship...

I detest too much rigidity.

For christ sake, she is a human with emotion. Why torment her like this?

God bless you.

It's sad that your husband isn't seeing all these, but I pray he does, so he could know he got married to a demon.
"You nor fit even use one sentence praise the man sef"
Your bad attitudes are top notch and too much for one man to handle, I seriously applaud your husband.
Only you dae nag, talk too much, claim financial independence and untop that you nor fit even defend am when some Nairaland witches dae insult am.
I personally won't want any mother to come spend time in my home, I abhor it, some of them are home destroyers.
Since you aren't the one to cover the financial costs of bringing your mother to your based country, you shouldn't have just concluded that "of course my mother".
For the part where you claimed after 17 years abroad he still believes in traditional dieties, can't you also see that after so much time abroad you still believe the wife's mother is always the one to come for 1st Omugo.
He really loves you, I swear you are lucky, if na me ehn...
Make I nor just talk.

With this mentality... if you really believe EVERYTHING you wrote up here, you might remain single ALL YOUR LIFE. I am telling you the truth!

You know where I stopped? I don’t believe in DIVORCE.
That too is an African mentality. Shade it.
Every one deserve to be in a happy environment with someone who loves and cares about them
How can your husband be HEARTLESS to you and you call it Marriage..?
Your argument with him has little or nothing to do with your quarrel with him..
His crazy mindset does.

I am sorry but unless your husband shades his crazy mentality, your marriage is GONE. And mind you, divorce is better than death. Cause at this rate he might kill you for causing him his supposed plight.

Btw if you like pray from now till eternity, a man who won’t change WON’T
Plus Nairaland is filled with Egotist men so don’t expect any better

Car Talk / Re: Woman Drives Her N34m Tesla Car, Says 'I'm Cruising In My Machine' by Sarang(f): 11:19am On Jan 16, 2021
Jakumo:
Don't forget, folks, that in the USA, only drug dealers pay cash for their cars. Virtually every other working person in America, buys their car by instalment, dutifully making monthly payments, called the "car note". It is just as likely that this fat slob is merely driving a rental car, while pretending to own it for the benefit of her villager followers online.

Even if the car is purchased by instalment, missing one month's car note, means that the Repo Man ( repossession agent ) will be sent by the bank to reclaim that car using a duplicate key code. Such repo jobs are often carried out under the cover of darkness, when the broke-asz, deadbeat car buyer might be fast asleep in their cheap rented apartment, dreaming of the next day's cruising adventures in their new set of wheels.

An illiterate janitor, or a minimum-wage fast-food employee, can qualify to "buy" a brand new Tesla, or S-Class Mercedes, in the USA, PROVIDED that the buyer is gainfully employed, and has a clean credit record showing no previous defaults on loans, or bounced checks written. So, this fat and ugly woman boasting about her "ownership" of a new Tesla, is at best merely acknowledging that she is in debt to the tune of $90K PLUS heavy interest, which will likely bump the final price paid to well above $100K, IF the car is not seized at some point by the bank, due to late payment of the car note.

The only thing I see here is JEALOUSY!

Not investing in Real Estates enough. This year, 2020, I invested just N1m in one real estate. And in 5 months, the property was worth N4m. I would have invested far more.
The investment is simple. We pull money together and buy swampy lands that is in the middle of developed areas.
Then sandfill it, develop and resell or rent out. REAL investment is what you can see and touch unlike all those unseen untouchable investments

*MODIFIED FOR THOSE ASKING ME TO EXPLAIN HOW WE DID IT.
We usually get atleast 10 persons. Then we all contribute a minimum of N1m. And we do the project. And the sharing is based on what each person contributed. It's simple as ABC. If everyone contributes 1m that means each person's share of the real estate is 10%. The last one we did most people brought more than 1m. Some especially the women brought 3m, 5m etc.. So we sold what we built in 5 months and the profits were high. Real estate far better than most investments. This year 2021 I must invest more.

Dm’d you

Without going into much stories. My sis in the UK bout last month or so once shared a link to me bout the Hospital she works in had Vancancies for some foreign qualified Doctors or Nurse either practicing or internship worker. I had these besties one happened to be my Ex but we still vibe real good whilst the other happened to be a good friend of mine at school.

To cut the story short, after reading of how 9ja girls are really not appreciative of favors and reading of stories of how guys go the long length to help either their GF n friends and they later get to change in a shocking manner and especially those guys that would be like after all I've done for her she did this bla bla. I later got to finalise these girls are all the same no matter how close you think you're to them or what doubt you have bout them. Another problem was I had no Nursing Male friends, I really wanted to share the link with a guy but I checked thr I had no Gee who did or studied Nursing, the other MBBs friends I have are still in school/ serving. Well that was how I let the link slide and my sister probably found other people to fill in IDK sha

But do y'all think I wasn't at all fair to both girls?? Insults of any kind are welcomed sha smiley

May I never have a friend like you.
Even an acquaintance!

He lives in Senegal currently. His acct balance shows that he has close to 10million but is refusing to pay my friend out of greediness I presume or con

What can be done?

My own setback is having a soft heart o...

Because if I have the mind that guys out here in the street have, I will not be broke and frustrated with my life right now.
Most of the guys I grew up with are into internet fraud(yahoo boys).
From what I see, they are happy. They can afford things they want.
They have been on my neck since April to come and join them in their hustle, as I am their Gee and they want me to have money(that's what they do say). They even offered to take care of my feeding, take care of me, that I should just go over and stay with them to learn their craft..... But meehhn, my mind no just carry the thing. I mean,,, I can't stand causing harm or sadness to another person because I want to make money. I don't know how they manage to do that but I wish I could too.
For this reason my guys are all unhappy with me, so I have been living in seclusion but anyway...

I just need to leave this environment fast. It's not an environment I can stay and be focused on my career. ASUU will soon call off strike though

Don’t be surprised when you do better than them later on
Is it not this life?! FOCUS brother. That’s all
