Romance / Re: Is There Really Any Point Or Gain In Being A Good Girl? by Sarita01(f): 5:46pm On Mar 18, 2022
Stargurl20:

I'm not oppressed by anyone. Even if there are in gold. I'm just wondering what being the good gurl has gotten me so far. Nothing. Whereas the so called wild gurls are doing perfectly. In fact, I've come to realize thatost guys just come to the public to rant they desire good gurls where as deep down it's the bad ones they want...
Being a good gurl in this Nigeria is of no single value

You're very correct,I've read some comment of some guys claiming good girls are for keeps, someone even said good girls tend not to end up in abusive relationships or whatnot, well that's a fallacy and not totally correct.you being good doenst automatically protects u from evil, the world doesn't work that way, neither does being bad make you prone to evil.i think good girls end up being hurt, disappointed, broken cos men take them for granted.in this generation of life on a fast lane geng, most men prefer the bad girls, the only ones remaining will claim they want a good girl with a touch of ashawo vibes which is totally laughable.

If you thinking being good will make u achieve good things, then dear you're living in a fairy tale.there's this quote I heard sometime which I think is kinda true,it says"it's a selfish world, only the selfish succeed".sometimes we need to cross those invisible red lines to succeed.my own 2 cents though.

I pity your wives sha

He did right by his wife,he stood up for his wife,he denounce the right to succession to the throne and wanted a peaceful life but what kind of a weakling ridicules his immediate family on national TV?or let's his wife bring down his family name and paint them black in national tv? that is my own question, maturity is needed in everything we do,he acted matured in the beginning but ended up being a big fool.

If polygamy is a sin the father of faith Abraham, and great men like David would nt av practiced it,by the way,if u want to really be like Jesus dont marry at all,bcs he didnt

True, and remember when Sarah urged Abraham to take on haggai as his concubine,God gave his consent before Abraham proceeded in sleeping with haggai.
if he frowns on polygamy, why didn't he deter Abraham from committing a sin,why encourage him?

Bro Reno, GOD is not an author of Confusion!the Scripture is clear on that

Male and Female!
Not Male and Females
Not Females and Male.

Cleave to his wife not to His wives!

Let's not Deceive ourselves! It is pure Adultery!
Leave Father Abramham!
Leave King David!
There are things GOD tolerated with them that HE will not Tolerate with us. We must be careful with what we say!

your argument doesn't hold water at all. mind you the Bible has been passed down for several generations and has been edited by man not God,God never wrote the bible,it was done by a mere mortal like you and I.

The original language the Bible was written in was never English,so how can you base your argument on singular and plural in the English language.

Different dispensation.

Divorce was 'allowed' in OT, just write a letter of divorce to your wife.

In NT, not allowed.

divorce is still allowed in the new testament on the basis of the woman's infidelity.

Another self hating black man. You will overcome your troubles one day. I pity the women around you.

look at you foaming at the mouth just at the mention of racism but I'm pretty sure you're amongst the tribalist in this forum and also maybe you're a colourist in real life too, looking down on your fellow country man cos of the colour of their skin, saying things like see how he/she is black or he/she is too light skinned,a black man always thinks tribalism and colourism is the lesser evil compared to racism and I'll tell you that is complete bullshit and total hypocrisy, and I'll also tell you right now that you're a bigger hypocrite.

The very moment a black man rises above his emotions and victim mentality, then half of his problems are solved. It is never a fair world,it is the survival of the fittest in our world, logical reasoning and actions determines if you come out victorious, you can call me a royal slave,if you want(cos i see that's your only response when someone tries to shift your emotional stance on this matter) but the black man can never amount to anything if he keeps blaming the society for his inadequacies. we are a strong and resilient race but at the mention of the colour of our skin we become cry babies which is quite unfortunate and pathetic.

The whites that Nigerians love to copy so much(if you watch their movies), they don't visit their partner's parents empty handed, sometime they go with a bottle of wine or go with other stuff, it's simple courtesy for Christ's sake, is it that Nigerians only copy the bad stuff and leave the good ones. ayam not understanding

Romance / Re: Is Polygamy Really Against Christain Laws? by Sarita01(f): 4:39pm On Dec 31, 2020
TheLionofLasigi:

The first 4 scriptures were talking about a man's responsibility to his wife, abstaining from premarital sex and addressing the issue of divorce, whether or not the words were singular or plural doesn't really hold a strong argument, most times God or Jesus used the word "man" for issues that applied to "men" and even women, so him using wife instead of wives doesn't exactly state it as being applicable for "wife" alone.

And Deuteronomy was God giving instructions to the levites and the king.
Am still waiting for a scripture were God said polygamy is a sin that will lead a man to hell.

there's no place in the Bible that says polygamy is a sin, using the singular "wife" or "woman" means absolutely nothing, the Bible doesn't straight out support polygamy neither does it straight out support monogamy.

marriage in the Bible is just a means of curbing fornication and also for procreation, and as far as I'm concerned the second reason, man was created is for procreation, it doesn't matter the number of women a man uses to achieve that aim, as long as he does it through the right means.

The old testament supported polygamy, jesus' ancestor david had many wives, Solomon had many wives, infact Jesus came from a long line of polygamists.

Those people saying that polygamy was only in the old testament, seems to forget that Jesus said he didn't come to abolish the law or the prophets but he came to fulfil them(Matt 5:17), just my own opinion tho.

My faith follows only one instructions and that is the bible. And one who speaks against the instructions therein speaks like a fool

your Bible also says in Matt 5:22, that anyone who calls his brother a fool is shall be in the danger of fiery hell.

one of the problems of Christian's is that we only obey the part of the Bible that fits our hypocritical lifestyle then damn the rest, it's quite a shame

but you'll expect me to pay some bills on you rights?
and you are expecting me to pay ur bride price when you've not been useful to me?
why do you think courting is necessary before getting married if not for us to study each other
If you cant do it while we are dating Definitely you won't find it easier to do wen we get married
So, you just want to come to my house spend my money, eat my food, have fun and that's all
NA ME BORN YOU?

Hahaha, what if I'm also a co-provider in the house, after busting my ass at work, you'll still expect me to come home, gather your clothes and wash them? You're funny, NA ME BE YOUR MAMA?

Relationship and marriage is team work between two individuals, everyone got their roles to play, nowadays the rules are changing, men no longer want to be the sole provider, but they want women to be the sole caregiver and house help, what kind of one sided rules are you guys playing at. Make up your mind baby and I would be all in, but if you want to eat your cake and still have it, then I got nothing else to say to you
