I hate MTN oh!!! Thank Goodness i'm not alone in this feeling. Imagine subscribing for their 10mb stuff only to find out i could only browse with my wap browser! And not browsers like operamini, bolt etc. Nonsense! ETI all d way abeg! |
Ever heard of the 80-20 rule? The 20 that your gf may be missing but seems to be so obvious in the new girl may be all that the she's got! Another thing is this, how do u know u really like this new girl even? You don't just meet someone and then 'like them' that much. Doest that mean u've been carrying on a close relationship with her behind your girl's back? |
Plutarch:thanx plutarch, for being truthful |
She's looks good. Someone said she's thin? Not at all in my eyes! Infact, it looks as if she gained a lil' weight. She was way skinnier than this at some point. Go Genny! |
Once again, you miss the point. I am not getting on your case because you are sleeping with your girlfriend before marriage. Quite frankly I don't care for all that religious crapola, i'm talking about your girlfriend remaining in the house after your mother arrived. Going without the sex for the couple of days your mom was visiting for isn't gonna kill her. It is about RESPECT and her totally disregard of it is what is called AGARASHA behavior. No matter how you slice and dice it. . .she is NOT your wife, She is just a girlfriend.
my thoughts exactly! What was she still doing in the house after your mum arrived?? And what did she expect? Warm hugs and hearty chit chats from mumsie? Either she's so young she's silly or she doesn't come from a proper home. U on the other hand should grow up and stop whinning about your mum cos she did the right thing. Bear in mind that the people that would be saying otherwise probably don't even live in Nigeria |
Are u kidding? Steph isn't a good actress. She should be doing stage drama not movies. And dat fake accent? Way too annoying! She speaks very good english, i'll give her that. But plz let her drop d accent! Genny on d other hand, may not be everybody's darling(myself included), but she is a darn good actress! |

Ezyra, she said there was a situation. Not that she expected him to take on her entire financial needs(i do not believe in that either!). |
. |
ezyra:like seriously? Dude? So if i have a bf who is maybe very wealthy and no financially stable family member i should die in silence rather than ask him for money? He has d right to refuse ofcourse, its his money. But, that means i cannot count on him to be there for me in my time of need |
Ladies, any tips on how best to wear the big and bold statement earrings with your jeans. And which ones go best. The drop down chandeliers, the hoops or the long ones? |
You know, I remember telling someone here in NY not too long ago that in western society, my body would be considered beautiful but in Nigeria that I'd be "ugly" [not exactly the word I was looking for but I think get what I'm trying to say]. Even my own family picks on me about my weight. Its not like its my fault. I can't gain weight to save my life . But I don't care. I think I look hot. I can fit into clothes and can wear just about anything. One thing that does bother me though is when I'm with my guy [he's not officially my boyfriend yet], he's Ghanaian and sometimes I get the feeling that he wants to be with a "thicker" girl. Anyway, I still love my skinny body no matter what. And you should feel comfortable about your body no matter what size it is. Oh and I noticed, what is considered skinny in Nigeria, isn't skinny in western society [just an observation]
oh, my boyfriend isn't bothered at all. He likes skinny. ![]() U are right with d observation. Cos i see some american movies where even slim girls(by nigerian standards, lol) think they are fat! |
sashaa have you tried gaining weight? i mean, put effort into it?
i have tried but thing is, it takes me weeks of eating plenty food and lots of rest to gain any kg at all. And then few days of stress, i just lose it all over again! Its frustrating! ![]() |
Why not? Those clothes were designed for girls like you. I'm tall and skinny and I LOVE it, people here in NY assume your some sort of model when they see a tall skinny girl . My sister goes to a fashion design school here in NY and all the black and hispanic girls are all going crazy trying trying to be skinny [just for the sake of fashion ].
yeah, u are ryt but things are different here in Nigeria. And where i stay(d eastern part) its even worse. U'v got 2 have some flesh before u can be seen as good looking. To folks here, skinny means hungry and unhealthy! I'm tall also at about 5ft 9". If i were in a city like urs, i'll prolly be very comfortable with my body :-( |
dominique:yeah, if i were up there, i'll prolly be doing d same. I'm in the east. |
I'm real skinny oh, and in naija smhow u just look odd. Can't even wear some type of clothes i luv like sleevless, tiny straps or tube! |
