IMO, Almunia was trying to close down a player that was clearly in an offside position, and unfortunately for him the ball was passed and an onside player received it. . . he was badly positioned and shoulda  parried it wide. I think he was too far from his line to try parry it over the bar. He is to blame IMO. Bad reading of the game and bad decision making at crunch time. This may have cost Arsenal a shot at the title after a good season. It's kinda annoying.
