TOPE2000!:Maybe. . . .maybe not!!! U babes should realise there's credit crunch in the air. Valentine should be about mutual understanding. When there's no cash. . . . .Babes should settle for less. What is wrong in us sharing a proper Boli n Epa? |
stillwater:Marry a virgin man? Is there such a thing? Virgin man? |
Ibime:Danny Fiszman said. . . . . “If Arsène said he needed £30 million for a striker, he would get it, no problem at all,” Fiszman said. “It is not our decision who he spends money on and nor will it ever be. We totally back Arsène, but there is a dual problem for him. If we were to buy the sort of big names that people talk about, we would be looking at relatively mature players who then need to be integrated into the way we play. “Secondly, it impacts on the youngsters, and in many cases Arsène thinks it is quicker for us to bring a player through our system. But that does not mean all we are interested in is the artistic achievement award. We are not settling for second-best. We want to win trophies and I think it is time we did, but Arsène also believes in creating teams with a certain style. “There were great hopes that we would buy heavily this summer. But I would refute that we have not bought well. Nasri has two goals in two games at the Emirates Stadium, and if Arsène could find the right player, he would buy again, but he hasn’t. “I hear all the time that we have no money, but I just wish someone would take the time to look at our accounts. This is a proper business which produces its own cash and lives or dies by its performances. Our net payments are £20 million and the revenue increase from the new stadium is close to £50 million. Explain to me how that stadium is a drain on the club, when it produces an extra £30 million a year. “This constant suggestion that the stadium is bleeding us dry is crap. The reality is our wage bill is very similar to Manchester United, substantially above Liverpool and substantially below Chelsea - but that is to be expected. We pay good salaries, but we pay them more evenly, so we do not have extremes of very high and very low wage-earners. There is an ethos of a team effort." |
TOPE2000!:Abeg, any gift is a gift. A dude once bought em 10p small cakes as a Val cake for his chic. Letz face it. . . .A cake is a cake. ![]() |
TOPE2000!:U sure you don't want the ones from GREGGS? £1.25? ![]() |
H2O2:True. . . . . .but Naija babes still expect you to fork out N1000 Meat-pies from Sweet Sensation on 14/02. ![]() |
debosky:At what point are we going to stop believing Wenger will change his policy? This man is stuck in his ways to groom his embryos into the next Ronaldo or the next Messi. The simple truth is. . . . . .These kids are not good enough. |
Officerricky:Rooney whups Drogba! |
Ibime:This is bollocks, abeg!!! Few managers have punched above their weights with mean budgets in this league. Wenger's economics is a tad over-rated. The question is not about £20 million net spend he makes but the type of nimble players he tends to buy. Denilson, Nasri, Walcott, Arshavin, Clichy, Ramsey, Eboue. . . . .All these lads are midgets compared to Mikel Obi or Didier Drogba. Walcott vs Ashley Cole? A classic mismatch. |
Ibime:That is what SELLING CLUBS do. Negative net spend means shyte if you don't WIN anything with it. Now, we all agree that he is stubborn and only 2 or 3 more players would turn Arsenal into contenders. Lets say those extra players would have cost £20m.It's either you don't pay attention to details or you have a bout of selective amnesia. Each and every time these players are ripe or close to full development, Wenger sells em off like broilers. A look at the employee turnover rate in the last 4 seasons @ Arsenal should tell you Wenger's objective is not winning titles. Infact Arsenal cannot afford to spend net £20m per season. They can perhaps do it as a one-off.Tottenham can afford it. Sunderland can afford it. Aston Villa can do it. Stoke City can do it. Arsene Wenger has no excuse. . . . . . Looking at the bigger picture, Arsenal have to persevere with Wenger unless you can name one manager that can keep Arsenal in contention even with an extra £20m to spend.Martin O'Neill will win titles with that Arsenal team with less than £10m to spend. There are decent strikers one could nail on loan in England without actually breaking the bank. United got Tevez for £10million in 2007. |
tkb417:Wenger is a dim-wit. He was dozing when Tottenham got Gudjohnsen 2 weeks ago. . . . Eidur woulda joined Arsenal had Wenger showed interest. so what the hell stops him from buying a decent striker when adebayor left? The poof has pulled the wool over the eyes of the GAYnners. Arsenal are not the first club to build a stadium. That excuse is getting old. They make money through the gates, the Emirates itself was built from bank loans so i see no reason why it should affect transfer fees. the man has got no reason not to buy. i dont buy the budget constraints story- its a yahoo yahoo storyUnited just copped awoof 6 points from the GAYnners. I wish we play them every weekend. |
~Borat~:Look at this dimwit. . . . . Arsenal outplayed your team of geriatrics and woulda copped a draw but for their appalling defending. They battered Chelsea and had Bendtner started. . . .who knows what woulda happened? Last week, Arsenal barely had a kick in the game. United outfoxed, outthunk and outperformed the GAYnners. Now go and bury your head in the sand. |
kay_pumpin:The French manager is an obnoxious vermin. He's too stubborn and i don't see Arsene Wenger winning the league title till he retires. Past success hinges solely on David Dein. I do not want to go into a long tirade but did anyone noticed the "instant" change the introduction of Bendtner brought to the game today? We all predicted a 4-2-3-1 formation last week with Arshavin, Cesc and Nasri supporting Bendtner upfront. Diaby and Song to provide cover for Arsenal's back four and they woulda stifled Chelsea a bit better. I dunno what happened to Wenger all of a sudden. His managerial nous in the last 18 months has been a disgrace. |
doyin13:Arsenal are rubbish. Only Cesc will walk into the United team, others are pathetic. This was a MUST WIN GAME for them and the way they defended was shocking. |
kay_pumpin:I dunno why many of y'all are surprised. It's the same news every season at this time of the year. https://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w170/Brad_Beckham/Arsenal-2.png |
debosky:With Nani and Rooney fit. . . . . .United will sodomise Chelsea at OT!!!! Just leave Johnny Evans with Drogba and Chelsea will be toothless. |
Sex & The City. ![]() |
Ted Bundy:Man Utd's number 2(Carlos Queiroz) made it to Real Madrid. La Liga is a lower league compared to the EPL. Only 2 teams are decent in La Liga(Real Madrid and Barcelona). Currently, 6 teams are decent in the EPL(The Top Four + Man City and Tottenham). |
debosky:Clichy has deteriorated. Vermaelen showed first class naivety tonight. He was solely responsible for the 2nd goal. Nasri, Walcott, Denilson, Rosicky, Sagna and Almunia are not worthy to wear the RED/WHITE shirt and lastly. . . . .Wenger should resign. |
nateevs:Rooney's mentality has changed!!! dayokanu:This is absolute tosh. EPL is the toughest league in the world. Lil wonder, super-class managers like Ramos and Benitez failed to win in the EPL despite spending tonnes of cash. How can anyone doubt the class of EPL? Real Madrid will not finish in the top 3 in the EPL. |
ritchboy:Tell me something. ARSENAL. . . . . .All pre-intimacy. . . .No Penetration. Na blue-balls go kill una. ![]() |
doyin13:Every time Wenger musters the effort to close the gap, Chelsea and Man Utd move up another 5 notches. It has taken Wenger the best part of 6 years to build this team and they appear poorer than they were even last season. How do you play Arshavin, Walcott and Nasri as a front three for a club as big as Arsenal? It's unexplainable. Aston Villa have a better attacking threat than Arsenal. Birmingham/Stoke/Tottenham have better defenders than Arsenal. The age excuse have been fully expended. . . . .There are no young players any more in Arsenal. Wenger should resign. He should raise his hands up and admit the project post-2004 has failed massively. In that period, Ferguson has won 3 EPL titles + 2 UCL finals. . . . . . @ Nateevs, It's time for Andy Gray to analyse. Letz see what he has to say. ![]() |
ochukoccna:Don't be surprised. Arsenal fans in Nigeria go for intensive fasting and praying for Arsenal to win their games. They are as deluded as epileptic Nazis. ![]() |
Eastbay:United have clicked into gear. All the big players are getting back and it can only get better with a blistering Rooney and a new-improved Nani. Chelsea are not going to drop many silly points. . . . .They are determined and they have a manager who has proven himself in Serie A. From now on. . . .It's a 2-horse race. Letz just hope Everton do us a favour this week. It's going to be an exciting title race from now till May(i hope Vida/Rio get back as soon as possible). nateevs:Arsenal are USELESS. There are no 2 ways about it. I don't see em winning nada this season. |
doyin13:Closet GAYnner. . . . . . By the end of February, Chelsea and Arsenal woulda put 10 points between themselves and Arsenal. |
eldee:Thou Shall Not Say The Lord's Name In Vain. God does not take such sins lightly. A fortnight ago. . . . .GAYnners were making mockery of God here and Prophets Sauron/Dayokanu warned em to watch out for God's wrath. ![]() Expect another gnashing of teeth against Liverpool in the midweek. |
HNIC:Beaten HOME/AWAY by two of your closest rivals. It's a disgrace!!!! Start preparing for the UCL. . . . . .Thatz the only hope for y'all this season. U can fluke your way to the FINAL again like 2006 if the BIG TEAMS go complacent. Eastbay:Sir Alex will be disappointed. TBH, Arsenal battered Chelsea but possession football is nothing without goals. |
That's a foul on Rosicky. Mike Dean is a twunt!!! HNIC:I can guarantee you he doesn't understand the dynamics of football. He is wondering why the players are not running with the ball in their hands like those wimp Americans do. |
dayokanu:Something Drogba doesn't get against an ordinary Johnny Evans. We all saw how Evans whupped Drogba's backside with a Bruce-Lee kick the other time. follypimpi:I pity Cesc Fabregas. . . . . . One of the best midfielders in this country playing for this shower of shyte team. He should leave Arsenal and seek greener pastures. . . . . .He won't realise his dreams at the Emirates. |
follypimpi:I think Arsenal fans should protest. . . . . Stage a peaceful demonstration and get the French paedo out of England. It's obvious he cannot improve Arsenal any further. |
chic2pimp:Don't be too sure. David Dein is a MONSTER in Soho. Almunia didn't move a muscle. Drogba shoulda had his hatrick there. |
jalether:Emmanuel Eboue has been excellent. I dunno why Wenger doesn't start him. Nasri is a retard. |
