Name one player who's got better tekkers than Berbatov in Europe?
Even the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, Drogba, Xavi and Iniesta all fumble to kill long balls with their first touch.
The only player slightly better than Berba in this department is ZIDANE himself and he's retired.

I'm not actually that suprised tbh.

I put 'that' cuz I thought with Barca playing the turnout would be pretty good but I guess I was wrong.
No Premier League, no football.
I wonder how many fans will be turning out for tonight's game.
Asian football fans would change their channels to watch Bruce Lee's 'GAME OF DEATH' than watching Ribery's shyteface. grin

Iordan letchkov scored at a world cup Quarter final match Aside the fact that Berbasuck has never played a World cup,
He doesnt even score in the vital stages of the CL which butresses the fact that he is dud.
You are a disgrace.
I'd score in a world cup if i had Letchkov's team-mates in ma team.

Have fun I am out to the bar to watch the battle of Bayern vs Lyon which would be more interesting than the one sided Bayern vs Manure
Bayern Vs Lyon?
2 Forgotten minnows playing in a B-rated league.
Have fun in the battle of LOSERS? Playing Semis in the CL must be a new experience.
Arsenal have achieved that TWICE in the last 4 years.

I like it when i silence you with facts.
The whole talks that Berba performed for SPURS more than he's doing at Man Utd is a myth.
This season, his productivity is far better than anything he's produced in England.

Also, the other nonsense about Berbatov scoring only when the opposition has surrendered is also a myth.
5 out of his 12 league goals were our first goals in the games they were scored in.

Imagine Berba was penalty kick taker this season. I am not sure, but I think Rooney has scored five penalties.
If you took these away from Rooney and added them to Berba's tally:

Rooney: 26-5 = 21 goals scored in 2576 Premier League minutes = 122.66 minutes per goal.
Berbatov: 12+5 = 17 goals scored in 1818 Premier League minutes = 106.94 minutes per goal.
I adore stats. . . and the FACTS say his productivity shytes on Rooney. grin

dayokanu:
Ribery did a panenka when Bayern was already 3-0 up. bayern still won the game 5-1
What Ribery did was what Berba attempted. The two of them were just unlucky.
Junior Baiano of Brazil tried it in Nigeria 99, scoring a pen with the ball travelling slower than a snail.
Keeper dived left, realised the ball was placed right and he still had time to dive to the right before the ball entered into the net.
The move was applauded.

Berbatwat was to take the opening penalty in a shootout and it took 5 minutes for the ball to reach the keeper. Man Utd were eliminated
Your memory is distorted.
Berbatov's miss did not eliminate Man Utd. Tim Cahill was the first penalty taker(he missed).
The advantage did not lie with Everton cos it was 0-0 all over again.
Rio's miss eliminated Man Utd - stop blaming Berbatov for your woes. grin grin At this rate, Berbatov caused the recession and the HIV epidemic.

Howard actually dived because he was embarassed someone would be that senseless to play a penalty like that.
Howard was beaten. . . . .He didn't know about the save.
His legs caught the ball. If the shot was a foot higher, we wouldn't be discussing this.

Na him countrymen talk am, No be me. If you get issues to iron out, see Letchkov for clarification
Letchkov is a fool. . . .How many goals did he score for his country? 5 goals in 45 apps is criticizing someone who's scored 48 goals in 76 apps?
You and Yordan Letchkov must have the same IQ(which is lower than a shoe-size). grin

Berbatov's technique shytes on every other player's in the league. . . That much i know!
Berba's technique shytes on any other player in Europe. . . . .

Looking at these figures, can you in all honesty claim that this man has not improved the clubhuh In the years before Arsene, we were at best a mid-table club without even Aston Villa and Norwich City's pedigree in Europe, Arsene has transformed us into a club that has never dropped out of the top 4 during his tenure. Despite the massive differential in spending by other members of that elite category.
The team Wenger won his first league title with IS not his team.
He inherited a good team so kindly strike out 97/98 from his list of little achievement.
To put in a clearer picture, Wenger inherited the defence of Keown, Dixon, Tony Adams, Steve Bould and Nigel Winterburn.
Besides that, there was a world class Dennis Bergkamp and Ian Wright in the attack.

Before you get back to your busy schedule of harassing teenage girls on the internet, find some time and read this piece from an intelligent blogger. .

Manchester United forked out £30m for Dimitar Berbatov after Daniel Levy stuck to the asking price we didn’t want to pay.
The downside for us was we had to pay over the odds for a player Sir Alex Ferguson really wanted, whilst Tottenham had a load of money in the bank but couldn’t do anything with it given the deal was concluded at midnight on the transfer deadline day.

The general feeling from our fans was happiness and excitement though. We had learnt that morning that City had got involved, had met the asking price we had yet to, and were offering the player far more in wages than we would be able to. For us to secure the deal made for what was probably the most exciting transfer deadline day ever for us.

However, with that £30m price tag came a huge amount of responsibility for the Bulgarian striker. Despite not even bothering to meet Mark Hughes, knowing that at the very least it would probably drive up the wages United were prepared to offer, United fans rightly had high expectations of the massively expensive player.

In his first season, he struggled to meet those expectations and struggled to win over the fans. His touch, link up play and vision were there for all to see, but for a £30m striker, you want goals, and the 9 he scored in the league were rightly not seen as a good enough return. However, for the Berbafans, it was hard to ignore that only one player in the Premiership assisted more goals than him, with creativity being a major selling point for the player.

This season, Berbatov has greatly improved on the goalscoring front and has crept in to the top ten scorers in the league. Considering his knee injury in the first half of the season and the manager’s decision to exclude him when playing 451 for certain games, this is an impressive feat.
But now that Berbatov is scoring more freely, our fans still have an axe to grind/bangwagon to jump on, and this reached its climax at Blackburn on Sunday.

So, have United got the player Sir Alex wanted? We knew we weren’t getting a Carlos Tevez type, who would chase down every loose ball, but is Berbatov what the manager wanted?
He knew £30m was too much, that’s why he refused the deal all summer, but in the end paid out the money.
But is he a shadow of the player he was at Spurs? Are the fans who cleverly dub him BERBAFLOP well within their rights?

We’re going to look at the goals and assists, like always, but there’s now the added element of what percentage of their teams’ goals the players were behind. To give you some comparison, last season Rooney scored 12, assisted 7, and that works out at 28% of Manchester United’s total goals scored. You would rightly expect Berbatov’s goal contribution at Spurs to be a lot higher than for Man Utd.

We’re also going to look at the stats of two former REDs who were the hard working types, who ran non-stop for 90 minutes, who were totally adored by our fans, to see where the priorities of our fans lie in qualities they look for in a striker.
How has Berbatov contributed in comparison to them and is goal contribution enough if you’re not going to run around trying to win every ball?

Goals and assists: 8
Goals scored/created: 1 per 232 minutes (3 hours 52 minutes)
Percentage of team’s goals scored/created: 12%

Conclusion:

The number of goals Berbatov has scored and created this season is of a higher rate than any of his four years in England, higher than both Carlos Tevez’s years at United as well as Alan Smith’s first year at United (and only year he played as an out and out striker).

Berbatov has scored/assisted almost a quarter of a goals this season, despite not playing anywhere near as much, and scored/assisted over a quarter of our goals last season when competing with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Tevez.

Looking at this season, Berbatov has scored or created a goal for United almost once a game, (1 per game + 13 minutes), but that doesn’t get any credit, whilst Tevez needed almost four hours to score or assist a goal last season, and Smithy needed three and a half hours.

Interesting then that Berbatov is considered a FLOP and is booed by some supporters, whilst Carlos Tevez and Alan Smith were adored.
What does that tell us about the standards of some United fans?
Running around and looking to be working hard is a more admirable quality in a striker than scoring and creating goals
. Great!!!

If Berbatov had cost us £15m I honestly don’t think there would be a problem but that price tag is the worst thing that could ever happen to him.
I have long been a defender of Berbatov but I am now beginning to side with those who think we should get rid.

He is never going to prosper in the increasingly hostile environment our fans are creating, so maybe it is time he got out and joined a club where he could be adored, the way we adored Tevez and Smith.

The manager hasn’t adapted our tactics to suit Berbatov, the way he has done for Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo and Rooney,so maybe that tells us all we need to know. The manager wanted him enough to eventually pay out £30m but not enough to take a risk in trying to find tactics which will compliment him, so there’s not a lot Berbatov can do about it.

Against top sides, the manager is worried we’ll be overrun in midfield, a possible indication of the lacking of world class quality in this position, and the Bulgarian pays the price. If we had a Roy Keane-Paul Scholes at their peak combination, would the manager feel the need to play five midfielders and just one striker?

Carrick is intelligent but he's off-form this season.
Others are not intelligent enough to play precision passes to Berba's feet. . . . .
All they do is hoof the ball in any direction and they expect Berbatov to chase like Rooney/Tevez/Drogba and all other rabid dogs in the PREM.
Not every player flourishes in that manner. . . . . .Berba delivers precision passes, is it too much to ask if the same gesture is returned to him?

Imagine in a world cup qualifier for Bulgarian Berbatwat crawled 2000m in 90 mins Including the distance he cover to and from dressing room, at the begining, half time and end of game.

Just google Bularian FA criticise Berbatov and see the story

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=581673&cc=5901
His 2000m in 90 mins in Internationals has gotten him 48 goals. Higher than Raul, Drogba, Etoo, Sheva, etc.
Klose -the 40 million KM player needed 15 more games to score 48 goals.
What does that say about Klose and all German twats? U don't need to run like a rabid cheetah to score goals!!!

dayokanu:
Havent we seen Berbasuck play the worst penalty in the history of association football?. From Berbatovs leg to the keeper the ball spent 5 minutes time enough for the keeper to complete 5 laps
Ribery's penalty was worse. . . . Lehmann didn't even move a step to catch what is even worse than a back-pass.
Howard still needed to dive to save Berba's penalty and Howard got lucky the ball hit his bony legs.
Berba's pen was still better than the useless pen Ribery took.

tkb417:
i dont even think u have a degree
U musta missed qualitative analysis in primary school.

1) we were made to believe all our midfielders are not intelligent
yes or no
They are not intelligent enough to PLAY TO BERBATOV's strength.
If it's police football of hoofing the ball 40 yards upfield and expecting Rooney and Ronaldo to chase like pit-bulls, yes they can do that.
But they are not intelligent enough to do intricate passing around the edge of the penalty like Barcelona and Arsenal can. .the strength of BERBA.
How this simple logic evades you must be the 8th wonder of the world. Your IQ added to that of Emperoh and Dayo is less than 30. grin

now from the post above, Carrick is intelligent but off-form
how does that correlate with "all our midfielders are not intelligent hence the reason Berba is shyte"?
Carrick is intelligent but off-form.
Basically, Carrick is our fittest passer of the ball. He's younger than Scholes/Giggs and it's natural for him to be involved in more games than the vets.
This season, Carrick has been off form. . . . Fletcher is a hatchet man. His main objective is to destroy. Creativity is a bonus.
Anderson is crocked so the job of creating rests massively on the shoulders of Carrick THIS SEASON and he hasn't been good enough.

are you naturally silly or what?
ive told you to stop rushing to the internet when you know you will come back to contradict urself
Stop these brain-farts of yours - You are not making sense at all.
Where's the contradiction? The only man intelligent enough to supply incisive passes has been off-form lately and thus, Berba has been denied the required service in the absence of Rooney.
If that simple logic still evades you, log out and point a loaded pistol to your humble self.

I don't think the above listed players are that bad.
Wondering why you omited Scholes from that list. . . grin
Scholesy's still capable of moments of brilliance.
Ryan Giggs is past it. He squandered 2 golden chances against Citeh.
The one-on-one against Shay Given where all he had to do was lob the ball over Shay will forever linger in ma memory.
Sell Giggs, buy Eduardo. grin  grin

I still think Carrick and O'Shea can contribute to the squad.
Cus some of the young blood you're advocating to fill their shoes aren't ready:Gibson,Welbeck,Macheda. . .I suggest they be sent out on loan, not to the championship, but to top divisions in Europe.
But i got to admit I agree with you on Hargreaves:he has to prove his fitness cus he's going to the 4th year of his contract and isn't growing any younger.
What does O'Shea contribute to the team?
Fabio, Rafael and Ritchie de Laet are all better than O'Shea. The guy should please leave.
We need to free up spaces for Tosic and co. They will only get better when they get enough match practises.

Carrick's confidence is gone. He has become slower and he gets caught in possession because he needs 5 mins to make a simple pass.
We need a midfielder that is capable of getting 20 goals/season like Cesc or Lampard. We have the weakest central midfielders in the league as far as creativity is concerned. Everton have a better midfield.

United beat Liverpool, the first time Berbatov wasn't used for a long period of the game. If Berbatov was the bomb Fergie should have used him instead of Roonie.
United beat Liverpool because we loaded the midfield and for the first time since Hargo's injury, we were not overrun in the midfield.
In the previous games, United played 4-4-2 against Liverpool(without Hargreaves). The 2-man midfield was overrun and we paid dearly for it.
When United were disgraced 1-4 at OT, Berbatov didn't even start and that team had Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez in it.

This season, Fergie realised his central midfield is shyte with 2 players, so he added one extra man to match Liverpool's 5-man midfield.
Of course, only one striker can play in a 4-5-1 formation, thus Berbatov has to start from the bench.
Until we get Hargreaves back and running, we will not BEAT any big team playing 4-4-2. It has nothing to do with Berbatov.
Rooney/Ronaldo/Tevez started in the 1-4 demolition. . . . . Berbatov was no part of it - stop LYING!!!!

The match against the Chavs what did he do in that match. How many times has berbaslow played against the Big 4. He only shows his skills against the dregs of the premiership. 4k berbatov and his admirers.
Sauron, stop defending a failed project. The day berbatov scores 20 goals for United in the EPL i will hang myself.
The match against the Chavs where Fergie played his geriatrics? Messi wouldn't have done anything in that game.
United were outplayed completely. Fergie left Giggs to outsmart Ferreira(that's one of the most disgraceful tactics i have ever seen on TV).
Even a gorilla knows Nani shoulda started. Look at what Gareth Bale(a less technical player) did to Ferreira on saturday. . . .

We lost against Chelsea because Fergie was temporarily senile. . . . .
Berbatov isn't a failed project. He plays where Fergie wants him to play.
I have never heard of Fergie saying in his post-match interviews that Berba didn't operate where he wanted him to be.
He has said that countless times about Rooney so Berbatov dropping deep to help keep possession is the game plan. . . .4-4-1-1 FORMATION.

If Berbatov had the benefit of taking those 6 penalties Rooney had taken this season, he would be closer to the 20 goal mark than you think.
U compare Berba to Tevez/Rooney/Bent. Players who call the shots in their respective teams.
Apart from the normal goals they are capable of providing, they get to take free shots from free-kicks/penalties and yet in a mystical way, Berba must match their tally. I have to believe Naija peops watch their footie upside down.

Creativity is mainly for Playmakers.berbatov would be sacked if goal scoring was a marketing job. He is the greatest flop of all times . he is simply berbaflop.
What is Dennis Bergkamp? How many goals did he score?
How did he become a LEGEND if his job was to score goals and he didn't?

Eastbay:
Don't wanna join this debate, cus I'm actually tired of it.
Let's focus on our three remaining games this season.
We don't need to drop any more points along the way if we want to retain, cus by the events of the weekend, the heat is back on them chavs.
I think the dodgy game might be at Sunderland.
We will beat Sunderland comfortably.
Fergie got us in this mess in the first place, his team selection against Chelsea was atrocious.
Had we beaten Chelsea, we woulda been in a better position as we speak. All the three games are winnable but what team would Fergie roll out?

Personally, i can't wait to see Neville, Giggs, O'Shea and Carrick given the boot this summer.
If Hargreaves won't stay fit, sell him back to Bayern.
We need to free up spaces for young talented players.

On to better things now, anyone who wants Arsene out can match to Emirates to eject him themselves (if the stewards don't eject them first).  grin grin grin

But pause awhile before yu undertake that action, lets examine what the effect of the new squad rules willl be on teams in the PL starting from next season, then maybe Arsene's foresight won't look so dumb.

If you aint aware, from next season, all PL teams will be required to name a 25 man (over 21 years old) PL squad with at least 8 Home grown players in it, the definition of HG is a player that has been trained in England/Wales for a period of 3 years between the age of 16 and 21 years. You are however allowed to have an unlimited number of players 21 years and under.

This table shows how the "historical" top 4 clubs meet the quota, it is interesting that apart from the 8 that qualify for Arsenal, 5 others outside the 8 still qualify as HG players, most of those who qualify for Manure and Chelsea are old and are not likely to be playing anywhere near their peak in a few years time. Liverpool is the worst placed and will either have to buy from other English clubs or make up the spaces with some Under 21 players (some other clubs should be happy that they might get some of that 60m Rafa wants).
This rule will also have an effect on the players transfer trend over the summer as its no use going to buy more foreign players if yu wld only fall foul of the new rules, infact I'm guessing it had something to do with Fergie's hot pursuit of Smalling over the summer on hearing news that Arsene was interested in signing the player, I can't however relate it to the purchase of Diouf and Obertan or the new mexican guy as they all wouldnt qualify, maybe Sauron can enlighten us?

@Debo
This is also one of the reasons why it might not be a good idea to sell Vela as he qualifies as Home grown whereas Eduardo does not. Some rumors are also coming up that we might not lose Merida as initially thought as he would not be an home grown player if he goes back to spain thereby giving him more incentive to try to make a career with us.

He was under 21 in January 2010 so we are the strongest in the league if it comes to the 25-man-squad-cap.
Other exempted players also include. . . .Macheda, Welbeck, Fabio, Rafael, Cleverly, Smalling and Joshua King.
Five of those have already copped Champions League debut so we are very FINE.

Sauron

is Carrick an intelligent player?
Yes or NO?

cos for him to be better than Gerrard when on form means hes intelligent. abi?

or intelligence comes with form? i tot its innate?
This is why i fight you everyday, ure losing your mind

ure a fcking disgrace like berbatov
Common sense evades you. . . . . . .
Form and intelligence are mutually exclusive. Any player can go off-form like what Rooney is currently having.
Carrick is an intelligent player but he's been shyte this season. . . . .In the previous seasons, his form has been top draw and his intelligence helped us win titles.
Jesus Christ, how did many of you bag your B.Sc degrees?

Emperoh:
TKB

leave matter for Mathias. . . . . suddenly from being better than him, he changed to 'having a better for then'!
Tomorrow, from what i have seen from this dude, Berbatov will be a flop so as to make sense in his argument!!
His rigmarole and self contradiction is second to none. . . . . . i wonder how the same tongue produces such amount of contradiction
Jesus Christ, Emperoh is suffering from speech impediment.
What's the meaning of the crap you are spewing?

Emperoh:

Tafa Balogun is a very upright person when compared to contradictions from Sauron!!
I have no need to say anything more. . . . Rooney before having the team built around him has always notched up 20 goals every season!!
That alone is enough encouragement for a coach to build a team around him. . . . .add his passion to the game, courage and determination and u have all u need. . . . I have asked what Berba achieved or how many goal he scored when everyone 'played to his strength' at Spurs, yet more applesauce from you.
Rooney always did what? 20 goals every season?
2004/5(17 goals)
2005/6(19 goals)
2006/7(23 goals)
2007/8(18 goals)
2008/9(20 goals)

Before this season, Rooney has only scored 20+ goals TWICE in his entire career and Emperoh says he's always done so.
Keep shooting yourself in the foot. . . .Even the 20+ goals Rooney scored previously was because he notched 50+ appearances.
Rooney's contribution has been average at best for Man Utd until this season when he became the arrow-head.

Emperoh:

Berba is just a skillful player and that's just about it!!!
I don't need me a skillful player with no end product. . . . .let him go to Arsenal, he has Nasri and co like u stated.
No wonder the same intelligent players Berba need have been barren with title for almost 5 yrs!!!

Intelligent passes indeed!!!!
Arsenal have been barren for other reasons. . . . .Shyte defence, shyte goalkeeper, injury-ravaged team.
Man Utd is a different ball game, we need skillful midfielders who can pass the ball and provide a good service for our strikers.
Berbatov and Rooney are different kind of strikers. Rooney is an all-rounder, Berbatov is a deep-lying forward.
Only fools would expect him to be busting his guts to get on the end of crosses and misguided long-balls. . . .That is not his style.

Think Berbatov, think Sheringham, Cantona, Zola, Kanu, Dennis Bergkamp.
It's up to his team-mates to play to his strrength. Zola had Hasselbaink to do the hustling, Bergkamp had Ian Wright/Thierry Henry to do the running. Sheringham also had Yorke/Cole to do the harrying. I have never heard of pundits saying Sheringham or Zola was lazy.
Football is not calculus. . . . .Na common sense!

I hope for an upset every night, but realistically, I am relying on Utd, Villa and others to do so and not Portsmouth.

Don't be silly - Portsmouth will be relegated willy nilly there's nothing to fight for.

That's the situation NOW, but things can always change. . . .I still remember watching Premier League Preview on Friday night, they were saying the same about Chelski. . .all it takes is one freak game and things change again.

I ain't backing off - I still firmly believe the Premiership will end up in the Emiraati this season.

BUT, if that doesn't happen, I am still glad we've kept in the race longer than at any point since 2004.
Debosky, at what point did you lose your FAITH?  grin grin grin grin grin

duduspace:
Sauron also cannot convince anyone that even though all of the Glazer debt isnt due to player purchases, the 130m net spend on players has no part at all to play in that debt profile as well as their high wages.
You still don't understand this debt issue. . . .

The Glazers secured loans with heavy interest repayments to buy the club and then used the club(they were yet to buy) as collateral.
They have not spent a dime on Man Utd since 2005. They took loans from the banks to buy the shares of the other directors to push for a takeover.
That was how the debt became HUGE. Up until 2005, United owed no one and they generated their own income organically.

You guys are overreacting. . . . .Any team can go to Ewood Park and draw.
Chelsea were a bit unfortunate yesterday. Ivanovic's injury tipped the balance and he woulda done better than Ferreira when Diouf scored.
I wouldn't be disappointed if United cop a draw @ Ewood Park. They are a very difficult side to beat at home.

La Liga only have 2 decent teams.
Barcelona and Real Madrid. The others are gash.

That success didn't come overnight.
It was borne out of hard-work, managerial stability, long term planning and years of laying down a solid foundation.
U cannot be changing managers every summer and expect consistent results.

Chelsea will beat Villa blue-black @ Wembley.

Dudu - was United not WINNING before Glazer's debt??

If anything, Glazer's debt has HELD BACK United and not helped them ONE BIT!!

The club was SELF SUFFICIENT, not OWING ANYONE and RAKING IN money, hence Arsenal wanting to copy them.

Exclude Glazers' debt from any analysis - Utd was highly competitive before they even dreamed of buying the club.
I don't even see how Glazer's debt should be included in this debate.
The money the Glazers owe was not used to buy any player. The money owed was used to BUY the club(not players).
Malcolm Glazer has not spent 1p on United since the take-over. . . . . .What has our debt gotta do with the trophies/players we have acquired?

How young I ask
Sol Campbell is how old? Silvestre is how old?

Rafael(19), Rooney(24), Nani(23), Valencia(24), Evans(22) are all starters for Man Utd and they are under 25.
Whatz your point?

Nowtin i no go read from sauron, So 11 players will change their style of play to suit Berbatwat?
I think he should start from Accademy then so that they will blood together.
Then why did we buy him in the first place if his team-mates cannot play to his strength?
Citeh are playing to Tevez's strength. . . . .same as Sunderland for Bent.
Why can't United's midfield do the same this season?

Even Berbayaradua know he is not doing well how somebody like sauron will spend a 12hrs in a day defending him beats my imagination.
As a lone striker yet you see him strolling in the midfield as if they use 18yard box swear for him. Even when the ball is in 18 yard box Berbatov will still be in the MF playing his lone striker role. I think he should be played as a "lone midfielder" for the remaing matches. Thank God Rooney is getting better otherwise you will see SAF attacking the ball against Spurs.
Watch the Blackburn game again(this time with your eyes open) and just see how many times he played a disguised pass and lost his marker looking for a 1-2, clear on goal, only to watch Nani, Valencia, Giggs, Gibson, Park or Scholes misunderstand and get caught on the ball.
That was the reason he was frustrated and complaining about their lack of football sense.

Rooney prospers in that 4-5-1/4-3-3 because they play on the break with crosses into the box, with Rooney in the six yard box fighting off defenders. That is not Berbatovs game, but that seems to be United's gameplan even without Rooney because the other 10 players are still yet to know Berbatov's strengths on the field.

At Ewood Park he was basically responsible for both creating the service and finishing it.
When he waits in the box for a pass or a cross he's accused of being lethargic, when he drops back to help keep possession in the final third and bring others into the game like he did for Valencia, he's accused of disappearing.
Berbatov create good chances and yet he gets blamed when his team-mates don't finish it off.

I would like to see him next season with a replenished midfield, playing a 4-4-1-1 with Rooney up front, a typical Makelele style enforcer(Hargreaves or Anderson) and a midfield playmaker in the style of Xavi/Sneijder.
You would see a lot more Berbatov and a much improved United in that manner. . . . .Scholes/Giggs/Carrick should make way for better players.

Emperoh:

At 12 goals a season?? I wonder a coach with his onions who would build his team around aa striker with such a paltry return.
Maybe Arsene Wenger as he has done with RVP. . . . .needless to ask anyone to see where they are now!
Fergie ain't like that. . . . . . . he has lost confidence is Dimitar Berbatov only Sauron still sees Berba as a world class 30 goal a season striker!!
Yet more brain farts.
Anelka won the golden boot for Chelsea last season when the team was built around him.
With the roles reversed now, how many has he scored?

With Rooney being the man the team has been built around, how many has he scored this season?
How many did he score in the previous seasons when he was doing the dirty work for Ronaldo chasing Aly Cissokho down the flanks?
Football is not advanced calculus but yet majority of y'all can't decipher simple logic.

To score plenty goals, the team must be built to service your strength. . . . .Ronaldo cannot track back, Rooney was used on the wings to cover up for Cristiano's weakness and with Rooney's intelligence and selfless nature, Ronaldo got the right delivery and he scored 42 a season.
We would never have known Rooney could score 34 playing as a lone striker if we go by his previous stats.

Emperoh:

Oga stop merry go round, U made the first goof by comparing two totally different midfielders.

If Martin Jol bult his team around Berba what was his return?
WHere is Jol today and what did they achieve?
U have no case. . . . . .My bible is more rewarding dude so i will hug it tightly!!
What has Jol's return gotta do with Berbatov being an intelligent striker?
Which 2 different midfielders did i compare? Carrick creates, Gerrard creates.
Carrick is the only denominator in the United midfield for the past 4 seasons.
His midfield has not failed yet to win the league title whilst Gerrard's midfield is on a hot chase to catch Wenger's TROPHYLESS run.

I can hire a translator for you to break this down in Mbaise Language in case you don't understand. grin
