midascnn: Former Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha was seen casting his vote during the PDP State Congress in Owerri, recently.
Governor Ihedioha was seen shaking hands and in warm embrace with friends and colleagues.
He had a warm handshake with Imo PDP Chairman, Charles Ugwu, shortly after his inauguration at the party's secretariat in Owerri on Monday.
He was also seen with former Deputy Governor, Ebere Udeagu during the PDP State Congress in Owerri.
He was seen assisting PDP BOT member, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, during the PDP State Congress How does shaking hands and greeting others at his party Congress translate to humility? |

Helenbrownfav: Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the fourth player to score in the semi-final and final of same FA Cup campaign for the club, after Alan Sunderland, Frank Stapleton (both 1979) and Alexis Sanchez (2015 and 2017).
Arsenal have won the FA Cup for a record-broadening fourteenth time with a 2-1 win more than 10-man Chelsea! Aubameyang was the saint for Arteta's men, scoring from the punishment spot to offset Pulisic's initial opener for Chelsea, before winning it with a fabulous independent objective in the subsequent half. The Blues lost three players to injury and had Kovacic disputably sent off a little ways from time. So na to dey win FA Cup every three-four years sure pass for Arsenal. Issorite!!! |

Nksleek: Abandoned NDDC Projects Of A Lawmaker Mentioned By Akpabio As Beneficiary Surfaces Online
Niger Delta Development Commission’s awarded contracts for two cottage hospitals, two road projects in Patani LGA of Delta State were abandoned by cronies of Hon Nicholas Mutu from between 2012 and 2014.
Photos of the abandoned projects were sourced for by well meaning Niger Deltans after Godswill Akpabio mentioned Mutu as one of the Lawmakers that are beneficiaries of NDDC contracts.
Well, JesuTeke Prosper took to social media to showcase many of the abandoned projects in his vicinity thus;
https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3444461048919693&id=100000674955042 This is terrible. About the same time they were pocketing this monies, Patani Local Government had only one hospital, General Hospital, Patani, with one Medical Officer, one Dr. Ahorituwere, and corper doctor per time, with nurses and other staff. Dedicated staff in just one hospital serving an entire local government area. Mutu and co, e no go better for you and your generation. They had the opportunity to improve the healthcare of that region, but they did absolutely nothing. I'm shocked to hear contracts for two cottage hospitals were awarded during that period |
Investment › Re: Safe Betting: How I Lost N880,000 In 8 Minutes by SavageMaster: 5:56pm On Jul 30, 2020 |
abujarealtor: Good day, everyone.
Yesterday was one of the most confusing days for me. For a moment, I almost ran mad.
Two weeks ago, I didn't even know what betting was like. Never done it, never experienced it. I hardly knew what the numbers meant.
Fast forward to yesterday, Tuesday, 28 July, I was risking a client's money on a game I thought was 'a sure bet.'
It was an eSports game I've been following for a while. I knew the players involved were very skilled and could score for fun. They did so in over 10 successive matches last night. So I thought it was worthwhile betting they'd score at least 2 goals.
I tried to do so in three attempts, but didn't have the mind to follow through, only for the matches to end up with at least 3 goals or more.
Informed by this, I thought it was safe to go on ahead and play this one time. I did. Unfortunately, both matches didn't end like I had predicted.
Over 800k was gone in a flash. I couldn't believe it. Seeing the signs, I attempted a cash out while the match was still live but couldn't, as the option wasn't available.
You may wonder why I had to risk such a huge sum.
It's simple; think I got greedy.
However, my excuse was that I needed money to offset some bills. Faced with so much responsibilities, I thought winning over a million naira would go a long way in helping me take care of stuff since business hasn't been coming in so much. The tile money I used was my first business since March, before the lockdown.
But, of course, my greed overshadowed any excuse I could offer.
To all the young men out there, please, regardless of how sure you are, do not stake more money than you're willing to lose. I've been there. The allure of making it big sooner can be overwhelming, but don't risk it.
If you must, stake little sums and make future bets from your winnings.

@I'm not sure whether this is the right place for this, but pls help push it to the front page so people can learn from my experience. Op has been introduced into gambling addiction. No matter the advice given here, he will still go back there over and over and over again. |

Romance › Re: Resurfaced: I Don't Love Him But This Is Happening, Advice Needed. by SavageMaster: 5:24am On Jul 29, 2020 |
Chinkos99: Our company recently employed this guy, we worked in the same company before, then he was a manager and i was a junior staff.
I left the company years ago and joined another, so few months ago he got employed in my new office as a Director.
When he resumed, being that i knew him before, i started playing around with him, like when he was introduced to us, i was like oo, common, i hug him tightly and people were surprise at our closeness before i informed them that we have worked together before.
I am a jovial person, so each time i go around his office, i will call him boyfriend, my love, hope no girl is trespassing cos i will fight o and his subordinates will laugh and say you are not serious.
On the job, we get to work together at times cos i am a Manager now, we go for meetings etc, then some of his job includes doing some short production, even though i am not employed as a video producer, i told him i can do those for him personally, cos i recently learn those, he was surprise before but he decided to give me a try, i did it for him and he liked it, he became close and said i was helping him solve alot of problems.
Recently when he comes to my office, he will ask my PA where is my woman and that one will laugh knowing i started it but i just thought that was it though.
So last month when we went to the Palms Mall, to seek for permission to film their facilities in the short production work we had, we were together then he decided to do some shopping, i helped him carry the things he bought and just had fun, he took me to shoprite and ask me to shop, i just pick two things, drink and rice and he said is that all i said yes, he started showing me things, take this, take that i said i was okay, that it wasnt appropriate to come here and start shopping like its month end. So we left, in the car he said, you do have some very good attribute girl, i said like what, he said never mind and we drove off.
After that he started asking if we can have lunch but most time our lunch time dont sync, so i told him not to worry, then he asked for a dinner, i close late, im a workaholic, so most times i will agree but i will work till 9pm and he would have waited and get tired and left.
Finally i get to have a dinner date with him and he ask if we could do this more often, i said why not boyfriend jokingly, the next time we were having dinner, I said boyfriend let me greet that guy there, i really needed to meet him, he has a contact i need for work, he held me and said you call me boyfriend jokingly, i want you to mean it lol.
After i met with the guy, he started telling me how he loved me and how he will really love us to be in a relationship, he doesnt expect a yes and he knows its so wrong on all level because we work in the same place, but i can think about it and give him a response later that he will respect any decision i make.
I said thank you o, but since then, dude is so soft and nervous when he sees me, i can see the butterflies even when we are in a client meeting.
Even though he tries not to make it obvious at work, after work he is all over me
Last night we were together, i told him i am scared as he is almost 40 and not married, that i believe any guy who gets to that age, with enough money but has not married is a play boy lol. He couldn't say a word for like some minutes then he said, yes i am old enough to have been married and i had relationships, beautiful relationships with wonderful women, some didn't work because of my mistakes and because of things i neglected and some didn't work because it was not meant to work, but above all have learnt alot to be at least a better man and i am ready to make it work this time i promise, i have no doubt if you are the right girl because have known you for long and have never had a second thought about my woman, so forgive me for not making it work all these while, i want to make it right this time - MEHN THOSE WORDS RINGS IN MY HEAD LIKE KILODE, i loved the fact that he didnt put the blame on the ladies he's dated.
Now on my own side, I do not feel anything for him but i like him alot, i like that we should be hanging out, go out, do dinner and talk from morning tonight but i do not feel anything aside that. What do you guys advise. How can you be playing with the emotions of an almost 40 year old, never married, well-to-do gentleman? You just want him to be your bestie and you hanging around him. SMH. Aunty, he wants MARRIAGE. He will not settle for anything less. If you don't want, cut off from him COMPLETELY. Desist from hanging around him and playing with his emotions again. I don't know where you people learn all these from |

He is also not sure how his cousin will react if the Op tells him. I think the best is to eat outside, come home and say you'll eat quite little because you have "loss of appetite". Business › Re: After NYSC What With #500,000 In My Account? by SavageMaster: 3:30pm On Jul 26, 2020 |
Cof1ex: Am really going to be straight here. I was able to save #200,000 through a side hustle (riding okada) early last year (jan-may) while awaiting service and up to another 100k i used for service.
I abandoned the money in a fixed deposit account and moved on for nysc... During my nysc, i found my way to the secretariat which gave me chance to do small hustle. I got a factory work which was paying me 25-35k (with loads of stress and i was settling them at the secretariate with 7k). With that, i was able to save all my allowee(#310,250) except the first that was paid in camp cash.
I traveled home during the early corona virus lock down as corpers were advised to go home or any safe place and my factory work was back sliding as materials were costly in the market. >>>
Currently am done with nysc and left my work before the lock down, critically thinking of what next to do with my life. Contemplating on staying back at ogun (sango otta) where i served or going back to abia (my state) and start up fishery or piggery, or poultry, or computer center, or dry cleaning. Just lost in thought. I know how hard i worked to gather this money, i starved myself and deprived myself enjoyment, and the shame of a graduate riding okada (as my dad was financially ok before he died 2k17). I just don't want to carry two legs put for river talk say na testing..
Please help!!!! Lala abeg push to fp Buy watches cheap from Idumota or from China; rent a shop, and start selling. You don't even need up to half of the money you saved to start. As for the guy saying you should sink ₦400k plus in Chymall, don't listen to him; he's only looking for his commission. Even if you must, don't put all your money into it or into one single venture. You've done well enough to save up this amount. Don't be quick to let go of it. Do your research well before you start. All the best |

Education › Re: Professor Is Not Higher Than A Phd. by SavageMaster: 7:58am On Jul 26, 2020 |
Kwamecron: *PROFESSOR IS NOT HIGHER THAN A Phd.*
Professor is not higher than a PhD. Get this Education once and for all, especially our micro and macro economics and bottom up approach brothers and sisters.
There is no qualification higher than a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). PhD is a terminal degree whereas Prof. is a rank related to university teaching. Do not confuse Prof to be a terminal degree.
In Ghana, University Academic Staff Ranks are Lecturer , Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor. Recently, Assistant Lecturer has been introduced for those with Masters. Elsewhere, like in US, Canada and UK , Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor are the various rank. It appears UK for instance uses the two approaches.
Previously, in universities in Ghana, you didn’t need a PhD to be promoted to the rank of Professor. There are many Professors without PhD.
Prof Frimpong of KNUST was Promoted to Associate Professor in 2010 and obtained his PhD in 2013. . Mr Gariba of KNUST is now Prof without a PhD. Nana Afia Opoku- Asare a member of NaCCA Board is a Prof without a PhD. Yiadom Marfo of UCC is a Prof without a PhD. However, in recent times, it appears your rank may end at Senior Lecturer in Ghanaian Universities if you don’t have a PhD.
Do not also confuse Professor as a professional title with Professor as a promotional rank. It appears in the US anyone teaching in the University is called a Professor whereas in Ghana and UK they are called Lecturers.
It is actually ignorance that makes people compare Prof to PhD as if both are academic qualifications. It even more pathetic to suggest that, a person who has worked throughout his or her life in the academia and has promoted to the rank of Prof is more qualified than someone who has worked in the industry. Both have different promotional titles.
While Field Marshal is the highest rank in the British Army, Prof is the highest rank for university Academic Staff. And so is like suggesting that a Prof is more qualified than a Field Marshal.
And again, stop equating Honorary Doctorate to PhD. The ignorance and the misinformation are becoming too much on this street. Get this one too, Doctor of Letters is not equivalent to PhD. It is way of university saying “Thank you” to someone for the person’s contribution to a certain field. In fact some even give it to people that have made huge donations to the university. UDS said thank you to Rawlings.
So for instance, if someone has three Honorary Doctorates it doesn’t mean the person has three PhDs. Thanks for this. Quite informative |
