Emexicoman:
Human resources management is a big issue in any organization no matter how small. This is the same issue I'm having ust that I've tried to manage to my utmost ability.
I run a car wash, laundry, restaurant and a bar at same place, so I decided to bring my wife's younger one to come make a life for himself. Free food, free accommodation and no pressure, just do your work collect money. I was at home towards the end of the lock down when my customers started informing me that he was coercing them to employ him for home service. I nearly cried.
Dude went round teeing people I was owing him for months. Same money my and my wife was keeping for him to help him save cos he's a spen thrift. It hurt me badly
How can you be helping a full grown man keep his money?

Pay him and let him lavish it if he wants just make sure you don't pay him by cash but by bank transfer with proper description in the narration of the transfer so you can have evidence that you actually paid him!

So dude you are saying people don't make millions of Naira from upwork?
A whole almighty upwork hmm nawaoo
People make money from it but most of them exaggerate the amount they actually earn.

For instance check out the guy whose comment is 2 steps above yours, he claims he makes so much but he's here scouting for 15 people to pay him 30K each for training grin

Business › Re: Why CBN Is Not Giving PTA/BTA To West African Travellers by SavageResponse(m): 7:40am On Aug 26, 2021
Atikulated:
I'm curious to know the reason behind the denial of personal travel allowance and business travel allowance to international travelers within the west African region.

The Nigerian Naira is not accepted in any country in region and there is also no regional currency in circulation. How would travelers be able to source for FX legitimately for their expenses?

At the beginning, the CBN said all international travels lasting longer than 5 years were qualified for FX. However, banks are sending out messages this week notifying customers of the changes which says no West African nation and the Cameron is eligible for PTA/BTA

Someone should help me out in peace!
They probably stopped giving to travellers to West African countries because they found out that some people have started buying tickets o West African just so they could get forex allocation then resell it in the black market

BabaIbo:
Few years ago, during my NYSC days, I was involved in a business with a foreign clients(one of the UK Pharmaceutical industries) with a Nigerian man acting as middleman.
The amount involved was large and the quantity needed was over 30 tonnes.

After spending my money running around to get info on where and how to source the needed materials and logistics(find out how to move it to Lagos), the Nigerian guy played oversmart(greed) by cutting/shutting me off and getting the material himself i.e he wants to act as middle man and the supplier(me) at the same time, just to have the profit(over 5m naira) to himself.

Sensing that something fishy has happened, I kukuma spoiled everything by alerting the white men on his actions and giving them vital details on the sourcing.

Although he was sacked and the white men sourced the material themselves, but the pain that we could have shared the money if actually that is what he wants made me feel hurt.
Greed and dishonesty is in the DNA of most Nigerians. It's good to know you dealt with the guy!

This is the most ludicrous story i have read in recent times and if not insanity, why would anyone export a car from Nigeria to the US ?

You gifted a car to someone in the US and shipped it all the way when Jaguar is manufactured in the UK ?

Madness !
It is not impossible.

I know someone who shipped an Aston Martin Lagonda from Nigeria to the US several years ago!
Business › Re: I Have A Question Relating To Startup by SavageResponse(m): 9:58am On Aug 22, 2021
kiako:
If a startup evaluates at say, 1Million, and shareholders buys 10% of it being #100K, and that 100K is enough to begin operation.

At what revenue would it be said that it has been profitable before shareholders can now start seeing their gain ?

Would profit be calculated only when the revenue superceeds the 1M or 100K ?
The profit is the excess or revenue over costs and expenses.

Let's say for instance you start business operations with 100K but you actually purchased goods worth 40K and incurred expenses of 8K in order to sell those goods then eventually sold them for 60K.

Your profit in this case would be:

Revenue 60,000
Less cost of goods sold (40,000)
------------
Gross profit 20,000

Expenses (8,000)
-----------
Net profit 12,000
======

It is the net profit of 12K that the partners can share if they want to share profits after every transaction.

Note that my illustration is a very simplified one but it captures the general idea. Your capital is 100K but in a month your turnover could be 300K or even more it all depends on how many cycles of purchases and sales you're able to achieve within that period

Hi everyone.
I’m currently looking for a business idea that requires a startup capital of less than 10m.
I currently live in Germany but shuttle frequently between Germany and Abuja and looking to start up something. I thought a lot about what I could start up but I cant get any concrete idea so I'm hoping I'll get better ideas from people on here.

Thank you..

P.S
For personal reasons,I am not interested in real estate, cryptocurrency or agriculture.
Make sure you restrict all your business discussions to Nairaland.

Any business idea that cannot be described here should not interest you cos there are a lot of scammers prowling this forum and if you're not careful they will lure you into a scam trap!

You're strictly here to seek business ideas so stick to that plan and avoid sending money to anyone to run a business for you

That is what you should have said that 20k is too costly for you instead of saying it as if it is a crime to charge money for knowledge. I also bought the strategy for much bigger amount. You can whatsapp me if you want to do it now i will give you little consideration and you pay the remaining little balance later as you are making money.
According to your initial post you said it's free so why are you now asking them to pay you money for it?

Besides if you're truly making money from it you should have recovered your investment by now and therefore would not be bothered about coming here to open a thread to squeeze 20K out of hapless people angry

Since last year I was introduced to crypto staking , I became lazy and yet I know am not rich like that but I can afford almost basic thing I need at least

It all started when I acquired bnb at price of 15usd or below I bought it like 100bnb back then e no reach 600k, dollar rate was low

Later in 2020 I started hearing about staking I initially staked 50bnb in case I will still have enough left but the result was very interesting I started cashing out 50k it is small but my 100bnb is working for me

Most people think I am into fraud but I don't go in much details telling people how I made my money later in the year when kava coin fall below 2.2usd I invested 3m into the coin

I have bnb and kava staked every month am sure of at least 120k without doing any work just sleep , play video games , write computer codes , go out and drink and listen when everybody will be saying am doing yahoo

Doesn't mean that most people don't know about staking or that most youth just want to buy flashy cars and waste money on girls and in clubs

Coz money used to buy lexus es350 can give u a comfortable profit for a year and still have ur money back if u are lucky pump can give u the money times 3 back
You should also disclose the disadvantages/risks, or are you going to say there are no risks involved?
