As you can see there is ALWAYS more igbos "trolling" for tribal arguments. on ALL nigerian websites. if you see a tribalistic comment on any website about yoruba fulani hausa 7/10 times its an igbo. |
No, Why would yorubas hate igbo? 4 wut? Yorubas dont hate anyone actually. To your Average yorubaman- Igbo, efik,Ijaw, etc (ALL non yorubas and non yoruba related ethnic groups) are basically the same, which is why we don't really differentiate. Cause we dont care Has nothing to do with Civil war or anything- Majority of yorubas under the age of 50 dont even acknowledge there was a war unless they are interested in History- I KNOW in my family no one even thinks about Civil war- I didnt even know sht about what biafra was until this ibo girl was ranting their normal "Yoruba this n that". So that being said to me igbo are funny people always talking about "Yoruba Fulani or hausa this n that", "Civil war this n that" "Biafra this n that" - LOL funny people sef |
chidexy: Seun:There is Heavy crude in Ondo Ogun Edo and Lagos states over 30 billion barrels- Canada uses around 47% of its Heavy crude/Bitumen to make its petroleum products Why cant naija? Canada has I think the second largest oil reserves in the world but Half if not Majority comes from Heavy crude found in SW Nigeria. About 31 billion barrels of heavy crude oil is held in bituminous sand deposits in south-western Nigeria. The bituminous sand deposits occur in 12km - wide belt that extends from ljebu-Ode in Ogun State, through Ondo State, to Edo State. It lies in the Upper Cretaceous sequence of the Abeokuta Formation in the eastern Dahomey Basin. Nigeria imports an average of 50,000 barrels of heavy crude oil a day from Venezuela for producing "base oil" which is used to blend with lubricants and greases in Kaduna Refinery. There is, therefore, a need to extract heavy oil from the Ondo deposit for the refinery and for bitumen.Naija - dont worry |
HELL no |
Nchara:so why complain? they are used to it right? you make no sense |
Asari want to protest for SNC, which GEJ govt refused to have before Igbos want to protest the killings of igbos in the north- which his government is suppose to protect.- some call it "Igbo Genocide in Nigeria." Northerners want security against bokoharam- which his govt cannot give. - either way everyone is protesting for their own individual reason, which protest of any kind will make him seem incompetent. |

Dealers sell fuel for N170 per litre in Enugu on JANUARY 18, 2012 · in NEWS BY TONY EDIKE ENUGU—FUEL dealers in Enugu have turned down the directive by President Goodluck Jonathan to reduce pump price of petrol to N97 per litre. Apart from the NNPC mega station that complied with the new price regime, major and independent marketers in the state declined as they continued to sell fuel between N165 and N170 per litre. Most stations owned by major marketers remained shut throughout yesterday even as their dispensing pumps still read N141.50. Only stations operated by the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, had fuel which they have consistently sold at cut-throat prices. Some operators interviewed claimed that the products they had were procured after the removal of subsidy and as such could not sell at the new pump price. Some residents interviewed grumbled over the exploitative tendencies of Enugu fuel marketers who have the culture of disobeying government’s directive on pricing of petroleum products. They said that unless the marketers were forced to comply, they would continue to sell above the approved pump price under the flimsy excuse that new product procured at the new rate was yet to arrive the state. They however asked officials of Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR in the state to enforce the directive of the President without delay in order to reduce the hardship which the masses had experienced on account of the fuel subsidy crisis. It would be recalled that the operators adjusted their pump prices upward few minutes after the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, announced withdrawal of subsidy on January 1 ….It’s N160 per litre in Anambra BY VINCENT UJUMADU AWKA—MOST filling stations in Anambra State were still selling petrol at N160 per litre yesterday, with the NNPC mega stations which sold at N97 witnessing long queues. Some of the station attendants said they were directed to sell at the old price as what they had in stock was old stock. Though the queues at the mega stations were unusually long, motorists waited patiently for their turns. Many workers also reported for duty yesterday and spent the greater part of the day cleaning their offices, just as the banks recorded large number of customers. Motor parks in the state were jam-packed as many people who returned home for Christmas and New Year celebrations and were trapped in the wake of the fuel subsidy strike had started returning to their stations. Transport fares were still high as the commuters coughed out N7,000 for a journey to Lagos and Abuja by bus. ….Black market thrives at N200 per litre in Abia BY ANAYO OKOLI UMUAHIA— FOLLOWING the announcement of N97 as new pump price of petrol by President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday, most petrol stations in Umuahia and Aba, Abia State, are yet to readjust their pump. Rather, they have decided not to sell petrol which they all sold when the subsidy was completely removed last week. Only NNPC filling stations and few major marketers were selling petrol at the N97 per litre, while other stations refused to sell. Because of the long queues in the stations, motorists who could not exercise patience patronized black market sellers who sold to them as much as N180 and N200 per litre. One on the attendants at Mission Hill filling stattion said they had fuel but wanted “to watch and see what the President’s directive will look like.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/01/dealers-sell-fuel-for-n170-per-litre-in-enugu/ |
Removal of Fuel Subsidy - Protesters Ground Benin City Simon Ebegbulem 5 January 2012 Email|Print|Comment Share: Benin City — ECONOMIC activities were grounded in Benin City, Edo State capital Thursday, when market women, youths, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), Civil society organizations under the umbrella of the Coalition to Save Nigeria, in their thousands, stormed the streets of the ancient city, protesting the Federal Government's removal of fuel subsidy. The peaceful protest which started at about 6:30am, commenced at Ring Road, the heart of the city, forcing banks and other business organizations to be under lock and key till 12pm. The protesters called for the immediate resignation of the Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, accusing her of coming to implement the agenda of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. The protest was led by the Chairman of the State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Dr Philip Ugbodaga, President of the Environmental Rights Action (ERA), Nimo Bassey, President of the Conference of NGOs in the state, Comrade Austin Osakwe, Executive Director of the African Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ), Rev. David Ugolor, Sabina Osehobo, Igbotako Nowinta and Dr (Mrs) Victoria Amun. A combined unit of mobile policemen and soldiers were following the protesters to ensure that the peaceful protest was not hijacked by hoodlums. Dr Ugbodaga who addressed the crowd, lamented that Nigerians have suffered for too long and argued that rather than removing subsidy, the Federal Government should cut the cost of governance and fix the economy for the better. In a letter addressed to President Goodluck Jonathan, which the Coalition handed over to Governor Adams Oshiomhole at Government House yesterday, it stated that "in the interest of peace, unity and progress in Nigeria, we recommend the immediate reverse of the price of fuel to N65.00k in the first instance and thereafter to N39.50k, which is the ideal price of a liter of petrol. |

The protest commenced in Warri some few minutes to 9.00 am at the old Warri Port gate withprayers and advice from the organizers to the protesters to be orderly. The previous night, there was an unconfirmed report that Boko Haram suicide bombers andmembers with guns and machete had infiltrated the subsidy protests in Lagos,Abuja, Edo, Delta, Kaduna, Kwara and Rivers states to cause mayhem. He said the will of peoplewould certainly triumph over the dictates of the powerful few in Aso Villa. He said the motion passed, Sunday, by the House ofRepresentatives calling on the Federal Government to suspend the about 120 percent increase in the price of fuel was an indication that even those ingovernment know that the decision was ill advised, adding that except the priceof petrol was reverted to the old price of N65, the protests would continue.
