seunmsg:You don't know what you are talking about. No Yoruba can win outside youruba land convincingly. |
AbijaJ:You may have a point. Let's put it this way, after losing, he and his supporters should back Goodluck Jonathan while we in the SE/SS back him too. That's the only chance the South has for now. |
Esama:And you see yourself as spokesman for the South abi? |
Tinubu should know that he doesn't even stand a chance at clinching APC ticket. With Atiku's victory, his chances have fallen from 35% to 5%. No one will consider him as a consensus president. No Southerners will vote him even if he emerges and APC knows that and only Afonja votes cannot take him anywhere. The North voting him is out of the equation. So the slim chance the south has is that Tinubu steps down for Goodluck Jonathan. At least, he has support of the South and the North. That way, power can come to the South. Tinubu should never forget. SE/SS presidency or power remains in the North. |
After 24 Years of Service and loyalty, PDP has abandoned Ndigbo again!, But ....I CAN bet it, they will start begging for VP slot, vote for Atiku and PDP come 2023
Anything but an Afonja presidency is okay for Ndigbo. If Tinubu knows what's right for him, he better step down for Jonathan Goodluck. That's the only hope the south has for the next 4 years. SE/SS or the North continue. |
OP, my advice for you is that Tinubu should step down for Jonathan. He is the only hope the south has now. |
DeLaRue:You made a lot of valid points but where you're wrong is in faulting a section that prefers power remains in the North if other Southerners deem power should be deprived a section of the south. If a section has not ruled in the North-South arrangement and another section is fixated on scheming them out, what do you expect? The main dangers facing southern tribes is far from just economic and political marginalization, there is existential threat of ethnic cleansing, which is enough reason why no sensible southern tribe should align with Fulani to grab power, but we saw that happen in 2015. Instead of the same tribe being apologetic for that error, they're rather cheeky, hoping to scheme others in the same south out? I realized that Nigerian tribes lack wisdom when in 2019, two fulanis contested in the major parties in a country of 200 tribes. And most didn't see anything wrong with a tribe bent on conquest and ethnic cleaning handed power perpetually? We just have to face the fact that at the end of the day, it'll either be conflict or total domination of the South. Every single tribe in the south must have sense or fight a war for survival for not having it. |
Foolishbuhari:My point is that they're still like Nigerians since they're Nigerians. If they can be swayed by money, tribe, religion and other factors, so can the voters. Why do you think there are underaged voting in the North? Why do you think that their imams decide for them who to vote in the North? Are you not aware that there is voters buying in the south? Don't you know that there are many Nigerians who hold voters cards because they're expecting to make money from it? The fact that most of you idealists overlook is that citizens are mostly impoverished by the political class, so inducement is a norm among voters just as theft is a norm among the political class. Nigeria is simply irredeemable unless something drastic happen. And it's getting late. |
SE/SS or power remains in the North. Have you finished insulting Igbo? Now you've become the chairman and chief executive, unity beggar, southern department. My friend, carry seat. We'll discuss after Tinubu has been disgraced on June 7. |
Felimax:Tinubu is already a goner. APC will never allow him near there because if the odds against him before PDP primary was 65%, the odds after Atiku emerged is now 95%. In fact, the only Southerner that the cabal can risk is Goodluck Jonathan. Even with Jonathan, it's still would be a rough ride since all those northerners would still back Atiku from behind. |
Foolishbuhari:But they represent the rest. |
Not surprised. Nothing works in the country. Not even podiums that my ancestors built before the white man came and confused Africans |
It's good to dream. Dream well. |
Foolishbuhari:Are those delegates collecting money not Nigerians? Are they different from the people on the street? |
It's becoming clearer that the permutations favour the North. At the moment, all eyes are on APC since they wouldn't want to waste the opportunity of consolidating on their northern interest at the expense of a largely divided south. We all saw the greed of a tribe tear down any similitude of cohesion in the south and the consequence? Not bad. Since our projections has always been SE/SS or power remains in the North. APC is for Jonathan. The North is one. SE/SS or power remains in the North. |
We all know that power is going to the north since APCs hide and seek game is to know whether PDP goes South or North. But assuming you're asked the question: Between Tinubu and Atiku, who will loot more? Kindly answer with reason backing your position. |
Just ask who will loot more |
Nonsense...is Atiku not a fellow northerner? Praise people who can do what you Southerners cannot. Who betrayed Jonathan? Was it not Southerners like Amaechi, Tinubu, Rochas and others before giving the northerners the leeway? Was it not Southern foolish professors that led the blackmail? Even a socalled Nobel Laurette? |
Because of the greed of one southern tribe. |
tuborme:Now this is remarkable. Exactly the sort of testimony I want to hear and not theories. This evinces that the man actually has something to offer, especially if he was paying workers and encourages small enterprises to thrive. Thanks for this. At least, it is now clear that he built human capacity in the state with its attendant effect. |
Perfectbeing:So what do you think the problem is? Why is it that the last time this country saw real progress was during the first republic? Don't you think that the progress is linked to the whiteman's influence, since those nationalists, Awolowo, Zik, Okpara, Ibiam and co actually learnt how to make things work from the colonialists? Is there not something wrong with the negro? |
Vulturereloaded:You're not making sense. There are countries that do not have all those this you mentioned, but still developing, developed or even prosperous. Some do not even have natural resourced like Africa but they're working. That Nigeria isn't working is simply the quality of people in it. That's why some of you are already waiting for 10k, 5k or even 2k to sell your votes. |
Thanksful:I do not agree with you that Nigeria is poor. The poverty in the country is that of the mind and ideas. It is a country that has been governed by men that are largely without vision. In fact, there is no Nigerian president that is fit to be the CEO of a company, except Peter Obi to some extent. That is why we need to be sure that he is not a flash in the pan. No country can cancel Nigeria's debt. Do you know why? There's wealth, massive wealth but mostly stolen by a thieving political class. Do you know what that means? You mostly have thieves occupy political offices in Nigeria. |
otipoju:In agree with you to some extent that he needed to exit PDP, but the fact still remains that he has been in the party for years and knows how corrupt Nigerian politicians are. Couldn't he have preempted this situation earlier and built a party or a coalition of formidable parties? Granted, he has a great name and reputation, but how will that translate to victory in a crooked system with the likes of Tinubu and Atiku ready to buy and sell people's consciences? |
In Imo state, the people look back and say that their first governor was outstanding. Sam Mbakwe embarked on massive industrialization of the state, opened up rural areas by building roads and connecting them to the national grid. He borrowed massively but people saw the outcome as airport, roads, industries and pipe borne water to their homes. If the military didn't stop his roadmap, I'm sure that in Imo, people would have had gas piped to their homes like in Europe and US. So the question is, I want evidence to show that Peter Obi is not just one-eyed man in the land of the blind (Nigerian crooked politicians who have nothing upstairs and so nothing to deliver downstairs). |
27Pushing30:I agree that he is modest, honest and all. What I am asking is, with what I heard and still hear about him, I'll want to see things on ground, whether human capital or otherwise that shows that the revolution has started in Anambra. Are their politicians NOW different from the Nigerian crooks all over the place parading as leaders? How has the state become exemplary and a model after Obi? We are used to all these window pictures. Don't get me wrong, I believe that Obi is the best but who are we comparing him with. What we have had in Nigeria are mediocre leaders. From Obasanjo to YarAdua to Jonathan to Buhari, there has never been an outstanding leader. Now we have Peter Obi, who sounds very intelligent and with a road-map. How has that translated in real-time for Anambra that he led? For me, Anambra should be competing with Singapore or Europe for me to believe that there is a black man with the capacity to do something remarkable. |
How much will the winner steal to recoup and make gain. Business is booming... |
One banker told me that with the sort of money in this country, if politicians were working with just 10%, that this country would be competing with Europe. With the hype around Peter Obi, there has been two questions in my mind. If he is as good as people say, why isn't Anambra close to becoming like Europe? Granted, a few times I have passed through the state, it does seem to have the best road network when compared to any other state I've been to. But in terms of massive development, I haven't noted that it is fantastically different from any other Nigerian state. Furthermore, Peter Obi doesn't seem to have the will to fight. How can he stop the vultures bleeding the country dry if he couldn't even fight the PDP crooked politicians to a standstill? Unless there's something I'm missing, the odds against Peter in his quest to make Nigeria a working country is too high. It may just be just it - hype, since the negro race has not been known to know how to get things done. Peter may just be any other Nigerian politician, after all, Buhari was once a messiah you all were waiting for. |
Probably a fake pastor like many others |
Frigga13:The latest is that INEC deadline has been made to make it impossible for the druggie to have room to maneuver. They'll all go home and nurse their wounds. The humiliation will be complete since they were made to believe it's their party too. Imagine Yariiba fooled to believe they've been rolling with the big boys just because Osinbajo was made in charge of distribution of 5k tradermoni |
NeckingNgulping:I can bet your trust is in Buhari |
