The two reasonable people that at least, meant well for the country are gone. Without Goodluck Jonathan and Peter Obi, PDP is dead. What's left of the party is not too different from the demonic APC, which Nigerians should urgently pray should die and be buries as well. They kill, loot and loot and are never satisfied. |
Funny he could not defend Jonathan when he was hired to do so. Now he runs mouth like a rabid dog to cause trouble among tribes. I wonder why people even listen to him |
989900:Those are the real enemies and betrayers of the south, not the north. |
You don't understand Nigerians. Peter Obi is bad news to most of them because they're basically crooked. Why do you think he pulled out of PDP? They're all selling their future for their Belle. |
ajani2311:You need to become a zombie first. |
OP, the same zombies attacking you are the ones behind the usernames. In fact, they have a WhatsApp group where they discuss strategies and minimum number of alternate accounts to boost engagement for the thief. They used the strategy In 2015 for Buhari. Unfortunately for them, Buharis failure has made Nigerians wiser of their Wiles. |
LikeAking:You're actually sounding foolishh |
Wow...this is interesting. So those that oppose Obi's presidency have nothing on him, so they're now grabbing at straw? Obi is remarkable, unlike the run-of-the-mill Nigerian politician you can readily find dirt to demarket. |
The zombies above me is the same person. All his accounts were registered in 2 days. At the end of the day, a Tinubu post gets lots of comments made by a handful of zombiess. 6 proTinubu comments by one urchin. One Tinubu supporter has about 30 accounts to like, post and switch to another account so that Tinubu will appear popular to the uninitiated. This shows that everything about Tinubu is deceitful. That's how they decieved Nigerians in 2015. Unfortunately, for them, Fulani have a game show for us in 2022. |
Funny. Topic. ...no reasonable person wants Obi for anything less than president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. |
mrvitalis:The good news is that after Opobo-Ijaw has taken Ijaw slot for 8 years, it goes back to the hinterland for another Igboid group like Egbema to take their turn. Ijaw should not make pim because na Dem talk am say Opobo be Ijaw. Abi Jaja was no longer Ijawnized? |
I thought they claimed Opobo are Ijaw? You see how wicked these people are? So it's time for reward, Opobo are now Igbo. When it's time to steal their oil, they become Ijaw. Nigeria is a very evil country. Just the way they claim there are no Igbo in South South when they want to steal Igbo oil, but when they want to brew their Igbo hate across board, Delta State becomes Igbo because of Nzeogwu coup of '66. |
It is happening. I have a feeling that the predicted tsunami will start from NNPP. Many smaller parties will soon join the movement. But we must warn NNPP. These bad eggs of APC and PDP must not carry their business as usual into the party, or any other party Obi decides to port with. Obi is a movement. I love the way it has dawn on him that he can't be planning a revolution while letting in damned Mexicans and dogs. Obi stood no chance in dirty PDP and APC money politics, so he moved. I love this movement. Earlier, I said that Obi will be the game changer just the way Aminu Kano was in the first republic. Title credit: ©Madapcmod |
PermSec01:just keep watching. At least he has made his calculations. Let's see where Tinubu will end. |
What he quit is PDP. I doubt he has withdrawn completely. The letter says the withdrawal is from the primaries. Obi knows that neither PDP nor APC is interested in the welfare of the country. I think he'll join another party. The tsunami will continue from there. Massive mergers will happen because of Obi. Those two parties are going nowhere in 2023. I perceive Obi as the game changer like Aminu Kano was during the first republic. |
You cannot say from mere observation, unless you see the balance of the books. What is Ebonyi debt profile during Umahi's tenure? How productive are the two states in comparison to each other? How many people were financially and economically empowered in each state? We're workers paid promptly or is any of the governor's owing debts and salaries? Those are the metrics and not mere buildings. It must be people and infrastructure. |
Penguin2:Paid. The same people behind the killings are the ones paying Nairaland zombies. It's easy to link the conspiracy. |
Reality3080:Thought I was discussing with someone sensible. Just cross-checked you're another Nairaland Zombee |
Reality3080:Did you believe that a black man could become the president of America 25 years ago? Revolutions, mass movements and their likes are unstoppable. Peter Obi is the first politician with genuine widespread appeal whose acceptance isn't based on ethnic sentiment, but competence. If he fails to clinch the presidency, we should resign to the reality that Nigeria is destined for perpetual failure. |
Reality3080:Don't you think that he's the right man for the job if the politicians don't want him? Isn't it a known fact that the reason the country moves in circles is that the wrong people have cornered political power while the right ones are indifferent to the rot? Obi is a movement of the masses, just like EndSARS, he either wins and the country makes headway or he doesn't and the country keeps moving down. If an outsider like him could become a governor, I think he can also become a president. After all it takes one man to break a cycle like Obama did for the US. |
gidgiddy:This is actually another important viewpoint. Igbo are held at a higher standard than other tribes in Nigeria. We can remember what they did to Jonathan, who isn't even Igbo becaue he surrounded himself with Igbos. We can now compare to how the same people are tolerating worse performance from Buhari and even cheering him on. This is one of the reasons why I do not think Obi stands much of a chance at success too. Shouldn't the routine politicians continue until the country is down and people come to their senses? |
[quote author=Faber post=113115215] ![]() Am sorry you will not get anything meaningful from majority of comments here.I agree with you. I just wanted to try knowing that I've seen intelligent comments sprinkled here and there as exemplified by yours. Someone already told me how I was ignorant before Peter Obi, not knowing that I can barely recall listening to the man even once. What little I know about him are what I read here. As you're aware, Nairaland is dumping ground without sensible moderators, unlike Quora, where you go to if you're searching for people who are using their senses. I think the Nigerian system of incompetence is reflected here. Britain wanted Nigeria to be the most powerful and influential nation in the entire Africa, but those they handed power over chose illiteracy over education, nepotism over equity, terrorism over humanity. Nigeria they so much loved have become a failed state. And will slipping into the hands of China as the government keep taking loans from China. China will continue to lend Nigeria money till they begin to seize the key assets of the country as Nigeria will one day default on these Chinese loans. When this happens, Britain will loose Nigeria to China forever.I doubt Nigeria is independent. I also doubt that Britain wanted Nigeria to be great. If they did, the colonial government wouldn't have amalgamated the two protectorates. Even if they did, prior to independence, they would have done exactly what they did for the Indian sub continent, knowing that oil and what cannot mix. You know that despite being separated by the British, India and Pakistan still fought wars after independence. Imagine how it would have been if they were a country. Britain doesn't care about black nations. I assure you that. Did they not invite Buhari prior 2015 election? I'm sure they're aware that he'll be a dismal failure. Were they not the ones that rigged the census in favour of the north? And rigged out Awolowo, who was the most competent premier for the post of prime minister? What of Aminu Kano, who was loved by the Talakawas? Why did he lose the election to a less popular Tafawa Balewa? Britain instigated the failure of the first revolution by tagging it Igbo coup because they never wanted power in the hands of people who won't dance to their tunes. Since then, they've been stealing the country dry because, to them, this country is just a ware house. It's all about the resources in it and less about the people. Britain fought Biafra because they didn't want Russia to become the dominant power in West Africa and be the ones stealing the oil. To fulfil the traditional whiteman's greed, anyone ruling in Nigeria must be foolish enough to dance to the whiteman's whims. If Britain truly calls the shots in Nigeria, which I think is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf. Then they are about to make a change of government to save Nigeria their creation.I agree. Especially if they are afraid of losing the country to China. The question is: will Obi play ball and stand against the China he wants to emulate while continuing as British puppet? In terms of will power. My brother, Peter Obi is a gentle man to the core. But he is a no nonsense man with power. He killed lots of Biafran agitators and dumped their corpses in a river during his time as Anambra governor, what he will do to terrorists will shock many.Is there evidence that he did this? |
Penguin2:Funny... You Nigerians actually view the world through your substandard education. What made you think Peter Obi opened my eyes the way he opened yours? Anyway, I'll let this slide. |
I feel like seeking the opinion of enlightened people on what I perceive about the candidate, Peter Obi. My main reason for opening this thread is to understand a few things. One is, is Peter Obi actually capable? The question sounds simple but here's what I mean: China lifted millions of its working class out of poverty without following "due process" if you know what I mean. The same has happened among the Asian Tigers. Do you think any black country has what it takes to accomplish that through a man with the vision? If Peter Obi has the vision, does he have the will? I'm marginally rendering a comment I made in another post: The question I want to ask is, has any African country gotten it right in the real sense of the word. What makes you dream that Nigeria is capable of getting it right? Don't you think that there are powers that make it impossible for the blacks to do the right thing? You can't help thinking something is wrong with most black people. |
ttobizz:The question I want to ask is, has any African country gotten it right in the real sense of the word. What makes you dream that Nigeria is capable of getting it right? Don't you think that there are powers that make it impossible for the blacks to do the right thing? Think of 2015 and how people actually Believed that Buhari could deliver. Think of 2022 when people are still campaigning for Tinubu, Saraki, Rochas or Orji Kalu. You can't help thinking something is wrong with most black people. For instance, the first African leader I've studied that had what it takes to make his country truly great and independent like China was Thomas Sankara. Patrice Lumumba too was close but not like Sankara. Now I'm seeing Obi (a low-budget Sankara) since I'm yet to be convinced that he has the Sankara will to stand up to the West like China and Singapore did. So what makes you think Obi isn't all talk? |
I feel emotional seeing the passion that young people have for a Peter Obi presidency. What is closest to it is EndSARS. Why do I feel that the political class do not want him? Why do I feel that Obi is the Tsunami that'll either sweep many societal ills away from Nigeria or is quenched like EndSARS? |
Osnami:Chibuike Amaechi APC Peter Obi PDP |
It's not as if they're not the highest beneficiary of the Nigerian thieving political class. Perhaps, they want to sound the man's opinion to be sure he's amenable to manipulation like all the other Nigerian leaders. In any case, Obi is good news to the masses and bad to the looters. |
Realist12:Hehehe |
Realist12:Hehehe |
Bihari doesn't like him. He knows even prior 2015 but was blinded by greed. |
