Very sad. Truth is she followed the "attack first" protocol, got the attention she needed & had the taxify guy removed from the platform.

But if you examine her account, it's riddled with lies.

1. Her account only completes the story of the taxify driver. She only testified to parts that suited her but the taxify driver's story filled in the missing links very easily.

2. When giving a testimony/confession/witness story, there are certain cues that investigators use to know if the story is being made up or if the actual events are being remembered. For someone who has worked as a private detective, there are cues liars give when telling their own part of the story & if you're able to identify these cues, you'd know an original story from a fake one.

First, she was pretty composed when telling the story; no emotions, no change in voice tonations as certain climax points in the story were told by her.

Second, and most important, she kept on looking to her right, just up of the screen (for a right handed person). This is a classic case of a habitual liar as she is not trying to remember the story but is actively fabricating one.

Third, she said something about grabbing the keys. Why reach for the keys when you can get down & run in the other direction, preferably the direction of the other taxify she had called. A rape survivor never survives a rape attempt by staying put, even with pepper spray. A rape survivor survives a rape attempt by running away, even with pepper spray having done its job.

Four. When the guy grabbed/dragged her out of his vehicle, there is no way she would have been able to have sprayed him if he choked her the way she claimed he choked her. It's not possible. For one, she's already restrained at the head, and you can do little to move with your left hand if restrained at the head like that. Doubt me? Get someone to restrain you like that while dragging you across a distance, you'll see that you're incapacitated quickly & your left hand won't move agilely as you think it should.

Five. Pepper spray is an aerosol. I saw some liquid flow from the window down into the car. Apparently she sprayed it while the driver was outside. This was shortly before h move over & dragged her out of his car. Now I want you all to follow this: since a spray is an aerosol & colloidal in nature, it stands to reason that if sprayed in a near closed environment as you guys saw that she was in, she would actually suffer from the effects too. Conclusion, she couldn't have used it on him effectively to have gotten the result she claimed.

Now I'm not in support of violence but sometimes it is necessary to use it to some degree as both driver & rider used violent means to achieve some form of victory. And I praise the taxify driver for being matured enough not to have done the primal thing in beating her up. As for the lady, if she had obeyed a simple instruction & alighted, none of this story that touch would have happened.

3. Why give a witness account/testimony/confession in your own home or a safe location & you're semi nude? To elicit what response actually? That the taxify driver is still trying to rape you from your mobile phone? P.itiful!




A taxify driver I entered reported a lady recently. She did the exact same thing Ms. Fapson did. Even told him to "fire", that is, to run very fast as she had an appointment to meet at past midnight. The guy parked & told her to alight. He had to verbally shout at her to get her to leave his vehicle. And yet, another did the exact same thing Ms. Fapson did, didn't display her destination from the pick up point at Lekki but the driver was kind enough to take her to her destination. On getting there seh confessed she didn't have any money & when the driver locked her in, reached for her phone & seized it, she offered him sex. As the car got hot, she Bagan screaming inside. Passers by got wind of what was happening & when the both of them were told to narrate their stories, the rider said he wanted to rape her because she didn't have any money & they had already agreed the would carry her for free. At this point, the taxify driver narrated his ordeal, showing everyone that she didn't set a destination & played a voice recording of the conversation he recorded as she got into the vehicle. He had to beg so that they did not beat he up. This happened somewhere in Egbeda area. I mean, why do naija girls think they can ride roughshod over men who are working very hard to get a living just because they're going for an happy hour somewhere? It's quite pitiful that this is becoming a trend & when the ladies get overthrown, they run to social media & scream rape rape rape rape rape. Meanwhile, no where in the video did she scream rape o!

Thank you very much for this post of yours. If only readers can read what this drivers go through in most riders hands both male and female they will understand. The drivers also have their fault as well, but the word rape and kidnap are strong words one shouldn't use. If she had talked about assault it would be a different not those two strong words.

According to her he drove her to an area she wasn't familiar with after locking the door, given the circumstances I can see why anyone would think it was a kidnap. She said she took out his keys to prevent him from driving anywhere, she was probably videoing for evidence or to protect herself from what she thought was an attack. I'm not calling him a rapist by the way but I'm not saying she's lying either, going by the story I can see why she may have thought it though. Have you read his own side of the story and her own side of the story and look for loop in either of the two?

Have you watched the videos she released to see if what she said or what he said which is true?

Have you check the meaning of rape and kidnap to show if at all THE GUY DISPLAYED ANY OF SUCH, or if they were just lies to play the victim card?

Was she calm during the whole process and if yes or no is that how a victim or someone who is about to be rape or kidnap should act?

Finally my dear Solomon had a very tight situation when he was to decide who is the true mother of the child and he left sentiments aside and pass a fair judgement. First, She couldn't possibly do that in an area she didn't know at almost 1.am, a place that could be kidnappers/ritualist den. 2. The driver probably used central lock and she couldn't get out even if she wanted to. 3. It could be that she saw opportunity to honk or drive the car to safety since the man got out, reason she launched towards the dashboard, before he started dragging her. Coupled with the terror that was going through her mind at that moment.

As for kidnap, apparently he wouldn't let her out of the car at some point to get another taxify or something, drove off somewhere with her inside the car and dragged her out by her waist when she tried to remove the car keys, allegedly anyway.

There is also childlock such that when you haves kids at the back seats, you can always prevent them from opening the door and concentrate on your driving. It right by the door lock when you open the door. Whether it's was on intentionally or not, only God knows.

Again, I blame the driver for wanting to proceed with the action when she already told you someone else is coming to pick up. You accept she is bad market, let her go and move on, not allow things to degenerate to the level you tagged a rapist. There's no doubt that this lady was saved by divine's help, she would have been killed and gone missing from her people. Serious investigation should be done by Taxify and the girl's family about the location she was taken to, going offline at some point, the video and if at anytime during the ordeal the driver contacted his dispatch to lodge complaint. I'm sure there are still Nigerians who are not afraid of "our son train" and will put this together for women safety. For all we know the place he took the girl could have been a crime spot or kidnappers den, probably not his first time, we all sha know how these people roll. When a thief is caught, he first talks about his innocence. Who is a better friend to ritualists than midnight taxi drivers. Women's right now or remain silent forever.

As a taxify driver, you know your client can request to go anywhere within the city, otherwise don't log on and pick up calls for that day. Some drivers work mainly/only at night. There are police stations in every area in lagos, and they're often central.
Its very easy to confirm the distance of his house and hers anyway, and see if its truly same estate. There's still no justification taking her to his house. Better a police station, than your house especially since you say she was making calls that scared you.
Its just a shady behaviour to drive a stranger (who's your client) against her wishes to your house no matter how much you try to sugar coat it. She may have been a rude,unruly person but that's still no excuse. I'm removing all sentiments from this (I've never heard of the case till just now, i dont even know the girl in question or the driver).
