Good day, please after submitting for IW for I and my dependents, I received approval for my dependents the next day but I have not received mine. Please has anyone had such experience? What can I do? Will the customer care be able to help?

Hi, I believe you dissociated your dependents from your profile. You need to follow the steps below:
1. When you login into your account, confirm that the family details tile shows “0”. If yes, then you will get a date shortly. If not, go to step 2 below.
2. Call or have a live chat with CGI, let them know about dissociation of dependents from your account and how they have gotten an IW date but you have not. They will ask for some details (passport and email) and they will review your account. Once they notice the family details tile is showing a number other than zero, they will ask if every dependent had been totally removed. If you confirm that, they will escalate your case to the embassy to clear the number. You will get a new case opened and it should be resolved in a week. Finally, you will go through the process of getting a IW date and in 24hrs you should receive the email to select a date.

This was was my experience and I noticed send several notes through the feedback option was a longer process.

Hi, I was in the same situation. You will need to create individual profiles for each of your kids. There are two options to do this:
1. Doing it yourself: create an account for the kids, when you get to the profile page, after filling out the passport details and application id, you will get a prompt once you click on the submit button informing you that an account with similar details exist. You will be prompted to have the information moved over, if you agree, you will need to upload the kid’s passport datapage and submit. You will get an email within 24-48hrs with a new default password to access the account.

2. Option 2 - Have a live chat with the CGI agent. This can be a bit time consuming.

Finally, you will need all individuals on your primary account removed before you can get a IW date approval. This was my situation.

Coming to give feedback: After dissociating the other accounts from the primary account, the homepage was showing 3 family members instead of zero. So I used the chat option to contact cgi and they mentioned that is the reason a date is not being approved. They escalated the issue and it was resolved in about 3days. I got a date yesterday and will be submitting next week. So far the other applications have been approved. For some reason, an official at DHL abuja mentioned you need to make an appointment to pick your passport, that it is a new directive as at today. I have not seen any notification on the website and the collection email doesn’t mention such. I plan to be there later in the week.

I qualify for the IW and I've cancelled my previous Interview appointment in order to be able to book the IW.

I also disassociated my dependant from my profile and I've been able to book an appointment (IW) for them.

But mine hasn't been approved since Nov 30th. I've sent series of mail to them thru the feedback option and I keep getting same response that once it's approved I'll get a mail.

And getting across to them thru phone call isn't going at all. I'm lost and cofused.

I'd appreciate any advice on what to do please .

Hello, I qualify for this, but during the booking process on the website, it is asking for expiration within the past 24 months. Why hasn’t that been updated?

Hello everyone,

My family qualifies for the interview waiver and I answered all the screening questions during the process of booking an appointment and it sstated we qualified for IW and gave the Dropbox location. When I get to the date section, the webpage shows select a date for your interview. I want to ask if that is the same page for IW applicants as well. Thanks for all responses.

Just thinking! It is over a year that the MMIA new terminal has been completed and for reasons known to the government, operations have not resumed there. Hopefully when they decide to start, we will not hear that the probably obsolete machines are broken and will require billions to fix (borrowing activated).

Hello, I submitted a dropbox renewal and I got the 221g yellow paper requesting I setup an appointment with a officer. At the additional information they wrote fingerprints requested. The email also stated schedule appointment for fingerprints capture. My question is will there be an interview or just fingerprints taken when I go there? Thank you.

I requested for my wife’s and kids ds-160 confirmation to be updated. I have sent all the information requested to the traveldocs website and i called cgi too. My appointment is tomorrow in Abuja and the information has not changed yet. Even though they mentioned it is fixed.
My own ds-160 confirmation is fine, except my family members. Should we still attend the interview tomorrow and explain to them

Hello, my sister applied for uk visa (family visit) she is a student, well just finished,hasn't graduated yet. She was refused based on the fact
1. She didn't submit school fees receipt, registration, but she submitted her school I'd.
2. Her name and that of her uncle who invited her are diffrent (uncle from mother side)
3. She didn't submit payslips,or statements of account of the uncle inviting her.( The uncle isn't the sponsor, her dad's brother is the sponsor and she submitted his account statements)
She was given the right to appeal. Please what do you suggest. Should she appeal or wait to apply when she will be able be her own sponsor, because she just got a well paid job, and she should be able to be sponsor herself on the trip by mid 2011.
