Who are you guys rooting for tonight?.

R.madrid(spain) vs Man city.

As for me and my household its city for us. Even if madrid are spanish the hatred is too deep.
Pellegrini deserves a UCL final for his good works over the years.

Well said. Nothing you have said is untrue. But the problem there is this; like I said in my earlier post, this is being blown outta proportion.

Like the skipping of training thingy, I have never read anywhere that he skipped training. This is the reason i said when people wanna criticise, most times many do so with a view to pouring out their anger or hatred they have for a particular player.

Talk about those who have paid much for coming to training late, Neymar was the second on the list with Piqué the first. And as you and I were greatly aware of, it was made known. Have you read anywhere where they made mention of the fact that he skipped training? I have never read anywhere and I doubt if you have too. But why the excessive exaggeration by some to slay him at this juncture?

Moreso, from what i have known about Neymar, this has been his way most of the times, even when he was supposedly doing great. How come it's this time everything is surfacing? Probably because he is going through a bad patch. Ronaldo has been going to Morocco all these while, but during his somewhat bad spell, complaints started coming out especially from Perez and an embargo was even placed (so I read) for him to stop making those trips, yet he didn't adhere. But today no one is talking about it anymore. Why? Because he is having a great time on the pitch. The moment he starts struggling again, it will resurface. This is the reason why people should pipe it down with the criticism. He could be having this bad patch due to mental, psychological or physical fatigues. Did you read the 4 possible reasons Neymar could be having this rough patch on Sports? Try to peruse through it and see that there could be other things. Not saying it couldn't be the things you or others have been talking about, but it could just be because of other things or even a combo of different things. And for the records, among the 4 reasons listed, the recent complaint was one of them, so don't think I am trying to shy away from it.

Now, am not saying the criticism shouldn't be administered, but all i am saying is that people should take it easy with how they do it because they end up blowing this way outta proportion.

I am as concerned as every Culé out there, but is it fair that some have already started saying he should be sold? I mean...
You don't expect people like my oga Coded01 to defend or take things likely with Neymar when things are not going well with him cheesy knowing fully well he never liked him.,do you?

And who has said anything prior? I have not seen the last 2 games except watching highlights. Although my younger bro told me Neymar didn't do well, especially with the somewhat unnecessary dribbles even when the team is seeking a goal. But sometimes we fail to take cognizance of his other impacts. He won us 2 PKs in our last match. Is that not part of the impact a player brings?

I am not justifying his recent form. By his standard, he has not been particularly great this year. But admittedly too, things have been blown outta proportion. As much as it's ok to criticise when its due, it should be done with care. Even Messi has suffered from this too and frankly its sometimes not fair.

It's not a mistake that Neymar is the most provoking player in La Liga. Not just for the amount of foul he draws, but because of the number of PKs he has won for the team. He now has the record for the highest number of PKs won by a player in La Liga in a single season. That too is something, but when people start criticising, they make it seem like you are already dead.

Remember, I ain't saying he shouldn't be criticised. He should because he has not been himself in 2016. But then, people should take a chill pill. I'm as worried as some others. The people who never liked him are using this as an opportunity and as a means to pour out every ill-thing they have against him.
I am not someone that criticises players anyhow. Neymar has been performing below acceptable minimum standard lately. In the last match, he won 2 penalties no doubt, but the two pks can never erase the poor performance he had in the match. He latched on many beautiful passes from Messi only to squander them unnecessarily. The only time Suarez got same pass in the area, it was a bang! He barely made any meaningful pass and was guilty of excessive dribbling here and there.
As you have rightly said, every player faces this kind of issues at one point or the other as even god Messi too is not exempted. That's why I am not really bothered about Neymar's display lately. I deeply rooted for that 3rd pk to be given to him just for his confidence to be boosted and I was glad he was able to score it.
Where my issue now lies is this: if all the rumours about partying around and skipping trainings are true, then there's really so much to worry about. You would agree with me that flouting club's rules and skipping trainings are some of the least expected things from a player who is not really living up to expectation in a great club as ours.
He should be the 1st person to get to training ground and the last person to leave.
My support and love for Neymar is well documented even on this thread, but I will not spare him if truly he has started towing the lane of Ronaldinho. We all know what the end result will be.

Winger Cristian Tello (24), on loan at Fiorentina now, is expected to continue on loan at the Italian club next season.

We even hardly remember we still have some players on loan these days.

Tello is still on loan at 24, I think the club should just sell him so that he won't spend all his active years on loan.
I don't know why our young forwards have not really lived up to expectation. Only Halilovic and Suarez are doing well presently.

No it wasn't,Remember Suarez's handball against Ghana when he hit the ball knowingly to not allow it into the post?

Now compare that situation with Pique's..There was no intent..he didn't even raise his hand to push the ball away, rather he moved his hand away from it.

Probably why the ref didn't give it.
Yea, I saw it too. But, you don't expect our friends to see it that way. They don't wanna know if there was intention or not.

I didn't see the game but from the highlights I must admit that wasn't penalty. I might be wrong but this is what i think.
1. The ball touched Piqué's hand on the goal line in the 1st half and should have been a pk. But, I am not sure the ref saw it. It was a clear handball.

2. Gijon player also touched the ball in their box in the 2nd half and should have been a pk, but, it was also overlooked.

3. There was another clear handball in Gijon's box and was rightly called.

4. Neymar was clearly fouled in the box, the ref saw it and rightly called for pk.

5. Neymar appeared to have been fouled while trying to go for a heading, and the ref called for PK and gave the player red card for a second bookable offence.
Methinks the foul on Ney was soft and should have been overlooked especially having awarded two legit pks.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 9:56pm On Apr 23, 2016
What a match!
The 1st half was poor, Gijon gave good account of themselves with our boy Halilovic running the show.
Pique was lucky to have gone unpunished with his touchline handball which was later cancelled out by the obvious handball by a Gijon player in the second half.
The introduction of Alves in the second half brought life and Messi got his mojo back.
Neymar was really not himself as his passes were not well timed. He was lucky to have won and scored a penalty to boost his confidence.
Suarez with another 4 goals is now well positioned to win the Pichichi.
Three penalties awarded and Messi did not play any, that's #class.

My point remains that if he meant Barca players, he should state it explicitly.
And you don't have to be a great player to get the opposition's applause; you may just have performed so well in on that day
I'm sure if Mikel was substituted in the match against Palace this season, he would have been applauded.
Now, would that make Mikel a great playerhuh
Hell NO
I am sure you wouldn't want people to read this. Would you?
If Mikel was substituted, are you saying Palace fans would have applauded him? Maybe you meant Chelsea fans. And if yes, are you comparing Madrid-Barca to Chelsea-Palace in terms of rivalry? You obviously don't get the gist and I would advice you don't just delve into matters especially when you don't have an iota of idea of what the matter is all about.

I am not obsessed with that ''na my daddy do am'' player, if busquets thrills you with his annoying play then you have n't seen great defensive midfielders in action before.

Adey tellz you.

There is a reason I always avoid engaging many peeps on here. Not because they are more intelligent or wiser or even knowledgeable as the case may be, but rather a case of nit wanting to waste time convincing some folks who have already made up their minds about certain subjects.

I have come to realise that for some, it's either what they have in their head or nothing. It's either you agree to their school of thought or you guys engage in an endless battle, one that will never come to an end despite making the other see obvious reasons as to why their arguments are non-existent. These guys never get tired of doing the merry-go-rounds with their somtimes ridiculous and inconsequential arguments.

Well, me na to dey read and observe those wey dey make sense and those wey dey fóól themselves. I take what I have to from the sensible ones, and leave the insensible ones to their school of thoughts.
You have said it all bro!
When someone tries to give his varied opinion, they quickly resort to insults and name calling. Some even cry 'f**k of my mention' forgetting that you lose your privacy once you log on to social media. They avoid obvious questions and would say just anything to paint their points no matter how irrelevant it is. Na to just dey observe jere.
