Mcleo007:Well said bro. In addition, the clasico was always a match to look forward to until Mourinho came and took it to another level of hatred. The only way he could win Barca then was to play dirty and eventually blame the loss on red card. Anceloti brought sanity and clasico was again nice to watch. He won the clasico without playing dirty and getting his players sent off. The same way Simeone has instructed his players to play dirty against Barca. The league match was a clear indication that they were ready to kill just to win. Many teams have won us without resorting to brutal tackles, I wonder why they couldn't tow same lane only for some dudes to cry foul when players are sent off for a deserved offence. |
BarcaBlood:I don't agree sir. There are so many like him who have been wounded over time by Barca who are still calling a spade a spade and not just a mere working tool. Even cable, our staunch enemy would never do that. |
ollah1:When we lost to Madrid, so many epl fans rushed here to troll. Yes, it was accepted by me because they have been praying for such an opportunity for long. No one saw it coming, we were all carried away by the beautiful results the team has been getting. But, the loss brought us all back to reality and the trolls reminded us that nothing is won until all is won. Many of them didn't come here to shout ojoro, because there's still some that would never allow sentiments to be cloud their sense of judgement. One of them is the poster I quoted. You can always hate, but, when you allow hatred to dictate to you, to the point of claiming Ramos and Tores should have stayed on the pitch for 90 mins, then its something else. |
When Chelsea lost to Barca in a match where a Chelsea player was sent off for a foul on Messi, Mourinho lamented that Barca could never defeat any complete Epl team in a bid to get sympathisers to himself. I can't count how many times Epl teams have been raped even with complete squad. He went to Italy and won the UCL albeit defeating Chelsea in a controversial way, all his epl supporters kept mute and instead praised his heroics. He was then hired by Madrid to continue his good work, after being totally destroyed in the league with his squad intact in numbers, he quickly deployed the dirtiest way of playing Barca. He invented 'operation break their legs'. His player was sent off and his team lost in the UCL game, he was quick to tag the loss on Uefa, Unicef, Fifa conspiracy and immediately won the sympathy of his Epl followers. Hence, 'Uefalona' Barca have won several games in the UCL against a team that play football. There has been calm everywhere since Barca have not been playing against a Mourinho team. Arsenal, City, Man U, PSG, Juve, Madrid and co have all suffered in the hands of Barca even with their complete squads severally. Diego Simeone has now decided to deploy Mou's approach by instructing his team to play dirty as that's the only way he thinks they could stop Barca. The players are sent off due to wreck less tackles and suddenly the name uefalona has resurfaced. We didn't play such teams in the UCL last season, and we won the UCL without any shout of ojoro. The question now is: should the refs drop their cards when coming to officiate a Barca match? Should they always pardon all offences against Barca players no matter how brutal they are? Two Athletico players got red card in the last league match when Barca were winning, haters never questioned their reckless play but were swift to ask why Barca couldn't score more than two goals against a 9 man team, all because they always expect us to win big. They lost a man in the UCL when leading, and it's Barca that's doing ojoro because refs should always overlook any brutal foul against Barca because the players are super human and are immune to injury. Some cules here were quick to point out the ref error that favoured Barca in a game against Villareal, some even asked questions why Bale's goal was disallowed in the clasico, that's objectivity. But, when you are quick to label Barca uefalona because of an offence so glaring from Ramos and Tores(an offence they claimed responsibility for), you should not be angry when you are called whatever names, just because that's the highest degree of hypocrisy. |
Nihilist:I have tried to remain silent and just be reading some ridiculous comments here on how Barça are always helped by refs when they do their job of giving out cards to deserved offenders, but, this your post wouldn't just allow me. I must confess you are a real football fan who sees games and analyse without sentiments. To those boiling and raking on what's not, are we saying refs should not come to the field with cards in a game involving Barca? Are we saying any offender should be parted at the back because he's playing against Barca? Are we sayind Ramos, Tores should have been pardoned for obvious offence all because it was a game against Barca? Why would someone not be termed as 'hating' when he still opens his mouth to call Barca names for Tores getting a red card for an offence he himself has apologised for? SMH for some people really! |
Luis Enrique 7-0 Simeone: FCB 3-1 ATM FCB 1-0 ATM ATM 2-3 FCB ATM 0-1 FCB ATM 1-2 FCB FCB 2-1 ATM FCB 2-1 ATM Suarez has now scored 45 goals in 45 matches. What a nice stat even though he could have score over 60. Well done to the boys for a job well done. |
chic2pimp:And we will gladly collect it. After all, that's what we have been working hard for. |
coded01:You must have not seen this sebod:Rakitic ensured both Modric and CR7 had a quiet game while he was on the pitch. Arda should have come in for Iniesta while Messi should have engaged Marcelo from the flank. E don happen sha, after all, they are human as you have rightly said. Athletico will pay dearly for the loss. |
Ikennablue:Athletico would approach the match hoping to get something positive to take back home. But, I am sure our team is already recharged enough to do the damage. We are likely gonna kill the game in the 1st leg. |
Mcleo007:Messi playing through the middle also did not help matters. I thought Marcelo would have his hands full combating Messi, but he was free to do his things while Messi was facing serious tackles from Casemiro, Ramos and Pepe. Arda could not offer anything close to what Rakitic did which left the defence badly exposed. |
Ikennablue:The foul on Messi was not a penalty as it happened very close to the edge. I don't think our defenders relaxed in the last 20 mins too. The removal of Rakitic piled more pressure on them. Rakitic was responsible for shutting down Modric in the middle. He never allowed his fellow countryman have any impact on the game while still supporting Alves on the flank to silent CR7. That allowed Busi to do his work well and gave balance to the midfield. He was already on a yellow card and the coach removed him for Arda. Arda was probably carried away by the awe of playing his 1st clasico as he was no where to be found. That gave room for Modric to stamp his authority and took control of the midfield. Iniesta too was already worn out which left Busi to be exposed against Madrid mid fielders which in return increased the pressure on our defence. Marcelo and CR7 were let lose on the flank while Modric and Kroos had their time through the middle. Zidane introduced a sharp Jesse and our defence couldn't handle the pressure. Hence, the collapse. |
usbcable:Forget that one jere. Na them go bear the brunt of our loss to you guys. |
gustav25:Threatening Arsenal fans is not fare bro, they are already used to going trophy-less. |
bykebyke:Thank God say your guy Mathieu no play, na the guy for bear all the blames from you. ![]() |
nonsoroyalty:The emboldened is my utmost concern! |
bykebyke:Na same with me oooo. I come dey wonder if losing has been taken out of Barca dictionary ehn ![]() |
SIRcumalot:Barca's case is always different sir. I have some friends on my contacts, they will only say hi when Barca lose a match. The last time I heard from them was the day we lost to Sevilla and guess what? Most of them are Arsenal fans ![]() |
Success, they say always attracts many friends, but reverse is the case for Barcelona. Our successes over the years have earned us many enemies and haters all over. Where I saw the match, the whole place scattered immediately madrid equalised. I quickly made a mental note of the centre and discovered that all the guys hailing and Madrid were: 30% Chelsea fans, 47% Man U fans, 20% Arsenal fans, 1% Madrid fans and 2% follow follow. Funny enough, it's almost same on Nairaland. And I concluded by imagining the havoc Barca have wrecked on these fans and their respective clubs over the years. It's not easy being the best club in the world with the best set of players they can always dream of. We lost to Madrid and the rest of the world would pay dearly for it, because we are starting another unbeaten run that would run till next season. We are coming back stronger and better, we are Barca! |
bykebyke:Sorry bro, we lost. It's even good we lost, that means we are starting another unbeaten run that will span till next season. And you know what that means? |
stuff46:Which Masch are you referring to here? Abi u don forget hin jersey number ni? |
Johnpaul88:I have already blamed the lacklustre performance on fatigue bro. And, as a matter of fact, Suarez should improve on his goal scoring ability. It's increasingly disturbing how he misses the simplest of chances only to score a cracker to appease us. He messed up for missing a clear seater honestly. |
SIRcumalot:Marcelo and Casemiero were the main deal. Pepe too was solid with all his antics. |
usbcable:MSN don't fail twice bro! I am sorry, you would be disappointed this time ![]() |
Awesome01:Treble still on course, yes. But, we have to be careful. It's obvious fatigue is setting in and how we manage and respond to it really matters. Our boys seem to loose focus in the second half these days and it must be addressed. A shabby performance like this could be costly in the UCL where little details really matter. The boys must come back stronger to keep the dream alive. |
nonsoroyalty:We were disappointed by the trusted MSN for probably the 1st time. They really failed to deliver. Let's just hope they show up against Athletico on Tuesday. |
sinizia:No site would rate Messi over CR7 in that match. I wouldn't even do either. Ronaldo grasped the headline for that beautiful goal. MSN flopped big time. |
Kudos to Madrid for a well deserved win. Zidane and his boys approached the match with more determination, passion and idea than our team. BBC won them the game while our MSN failed to impress. Suarez never did anything right all night save the sending off of Ramos, Neymar had a game to forget and Messi was silenced by the combined efforts of Madrid midfield and defence. - Messi was denied a clear foul at the edge of the box. - Ramos should have been sent off even before he was finally shown red. - I still don't understand why Bale's goal was disallowed. All in all, the loss should serve as a wake up call to the team, nothing is won yet and care must be taken to avoid any upset. Busquest was my best player till Rakitic was removed. Alba, Masch and Pique also had a decent game Zidane got his tactics right and must be praised for a job well done. |
It's nice seeing Rafinha back on the bench. Let's go guys! |
homesteady:If na play, make una stop am oooo. The last time I checked, the don was hale and hearty. |
homesteady:You wan April-fool us abi? That one no go work oooooo. Iniesta is finalising with the MSN how to finally lay Madrid to rest come tomorrow. ![]() |
Happy new month to all Barca fans here. May the month of April bring good tidings to us all and our good club. May we start the month joyfully by annihilation Madrid tomorrow and kill off their neighbour come next week on our way to winning another treble. |
Debroslink:We are talking of speed off ball. Neymar na person? E get any player Ney no fit run pass with the ball? |
