I don't think Real Madrid can beat them..the highest they can get from that match is a draw.
Hopefully!

Of course both are Madrid but anyone who has been following football knows Real Madrid is regarded as Madrid for short, while Atletico Madrid are regarded as Atletico for short. Its as simple as that.

As mush as I'd wanted Athletico Madrid to win Real Madrid in order to maintain their second spot, I doubt if it can really happen. Athletico have not been doing fine recently with their poor form in front of goal. The only good thing about them now is their solid defence which I think could be penetrated with constant pressure. It would be nice if they can play draw, but I think Real stand a better chance of winning. What ya think cules?

Can't stop watching yesterday's first goal..1 second Suarez is passing the ball to Neymar, the next second Messi is placing the ball inside the net,so swift.

Funny part was seeing Bellerin trying to catch up with Neymar. grin

Ozil is better than Iniesta, Alexis than Neymar, Bellerin than Alves, Monreal than Alba, and even Coquelin than Busquets?
One even go carry stats come to buttress the claim. Na wetin we never read for this thread? And when 90% of Arsenal players are better than Barca players, that means Arsenal is far better than Barca.

Bro, you have said it all! I've never fancied all these constant arguments about whether our players are average or not and I barely ever engage in them.

We have the best team in the world and I'm always saying it that we should all savour this moment. Imagine being treated to a sweet brand of football every 3 days, it's not easy man!

And talking about Messi's 1st goal, I just can't have enough of it. He practically rendered Cech helpless before scoring gringrin

As for EPL, they're going to be on a long thing for a really long time. Sheybi they think football is all about brawn, power? They are still learning gringringrin

Football has evolved and as far as I'm concerned, they don't play football in EPL, it's more like rugby. And that's why they'll continue to be exposed in the UCL.
Thumbs up bro!
As regards Messi's goal, a certain Giroud would have hurriedly kicked the ball which would either hit the on-rushing cech on his hands, legs or chest. Baba na baba any time any day.

The EPL is still the best league in the world!

Two traditional giants Liverpool and Man united are passing through tough times times, and that is the only reason England is poorly represented in Europe.

And are we going to pretend that La liga has any other really truly outstanding UCL team asides Barca?

2005-2015
3 different EPL teams has won.
Only 2 La liga teams has won.

EPL teams has made the finals 8 times combined.
La liga has made the finals 6 times combined.
But Only Barcelona has made it four of these times!

English teams was dominant in European competitions in the 70's -80's, but Serie A and La liga still had more glamour/appeal and still attracted the biggest stars in the world.

English teams have better mid table teams at the moment and is more entertaining.
Nobody enjoys a league where the decisive games are the Classicos, or where loosing or even drawing with any team asides Barca/madrid is termed a disaster.

I watch Barca/madrid games sometimes and shake my head.
Teams can't just finish chances and score, then they end up getting trounced because they have clueless teams who would foolishly go out to attack gung-ho against a Real/Barca.

EPL is most attractive league, because there aren't poor teams.
Unlike La liga where two three teams eat the lion's share of the TV money.

The result is a Leicester team that has spent it's money well and is top of the league right now. cheesy

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 11:20am On Feb 24, 2016
1. Barcelona have won 4 UCL in the last 10 years while Arsenal only got to the final once in their lifetime
2. Barcelona won their second treble in style, something Arsenal can only win in their dreams.
3. Barcelona are the best team in the league being the defending champion and also occupying the top spot on the log presently with 8 points clear, while Arsenal are not even one of the two best clubs in England.
4. Barcelona can boast of the world best players in their team which has the arguably greatest player of all time, the most prolific striker presently, a talented Brazilian super star, a world cup legend in Iniesta and the host of other great players, while Arsenal can only marvel in the mediocrity of Giroud, the strength of Alexis and the eyes of Ozil.
How Arsenal fans could now conclude their players are better than Barca players still beats my imagination. Coquelin can only play as a back up defender in Barca team, Bellerin is a Barca product that's just growing, Alexis was surplus to requirement in Barca, Giroud is not better than Bojan.
If our Samper gets to play for Arsenal today, he would be immediately termed the best DM in the world. Halilovic would be a god in Arsenal, Denis Suarez would be rated over Iniesta.
I can conveniently conclude that we have enough good players in our B team that would be termed as gods in Arsenal. They just enjoy the hype of the league and there's nothing special about them!

You sure say the guy na Arsenal fan? The way he boasts about uncertainties really makes one wonder if he's been around enough to know Arsenal of all the club's in the world are just a polished Barca B team.
Man U can boast of defeating us in the semis to lift the trophy, Chelsea can also bask in the euphoria of their victory over us to lifting the coveted trophy, But Arsenal?? Seriously Arsenal? Why would someone just wake up and be claiming what is not? I can bet that our B team would slug it out with this Arsenal team led by a mediocre Giroud.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by sebod(m): 11:45pm On Feb 23, 2016
So Arsenal could actually park the bus? You have claimed to have better players in all positions than Barca, how come those better players couldn't show the world why they are better? Did Ozil not play? Was Coquelin banned? What happened to Bellerin the best RB? Was Cech not at the post? And all you could do was to park the bus, Shame!!!
For your info, total annihilation awaits your team at the Camp as they cannot afford to park even okada.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 11:14pm On Feb 23, 2016
Arsenal just got themselves into trouble. They sat back, packed the bus and we're expecting to score on the brake.
Now that they have conceded 2 good goals, they are coming to the Camp knowing fully they must attack to score. The Camp would be too hot for them as Messi doesn't show any iota of mercy on that turf.
Total annihilation awaits them next month.

I hope Suarez is now eligible to play for his country sha.

MSN's plot to send out CR7 out of the next ballon d'or revealed!
You wanna know how?

Luis Suarez's omission from the fifa player of the year finalists still remains one of the hugely debated topic. Suarez played a huge role in a team that won 5 out of the possible 6 trophies. He scored many important goals and had great match winning assists. But, he was less fancied to Ronaldo who could only boast of pichichi and European golden boot as his achievement.
Barcelona are on course for another great season as they are leading the second team on the log by 8 points, already have a date with Sevilla in the copa del rey final and are well placed to retain the UCL barring no upset.
Should Ronaldo go on to win his usual trophies albeit Madrid not winning anything as usual, many of his fans would still fight for his inclusion on the best players list come next january.
In order to avoid that, Messi, the best player on the planet is doing everything possible to help Suarez win the golden boot so that he could have a strong case against CR7. This is evident in his recent penalty assist and his inter play with the Barça no 9. Should the trio continue in this good form and relationship, the MSN are destined to be on the podium as the best players in the world come january 2017.
