Debroslink: Terry is a great overall. Far greater than Boateng. However, Terry's performances against Barca is less than convincing. About 70% of our goals conceded by Chelsea have been Terry's fault. Don't use the performance of a player against Barca to measure his ability bro. Casillas never had a great outing against Barca with Messi on the pitch..... you know the rest... |

sinizia: I know the guys that will argue it - Barca guys. Lailai, they both played for Barca mind you, Barca guys would never argue that even though he later played for our eternal enemy. But, don't forget that Eto played for Chelsea and there are some Chelsea fans that will argue anything that relates to Chelsea not minding how stupid the comparison may be. That's when someone will say De Lima wouldn't have made it in Epl |

dmcdad: Honestly. I wanted to react to the post by erusen but decided to let it fly.
The argument is not my business but come on, Messi would do that to anyone. And for sinizia who said Terry shut Messi all the time they played against eachother, you should know the entire team shut Messi and not Terry.
Tell me who will go round a spiolt train (10 men in 2 lines) without being tripped by someone or without someone dispossessing you?
This is not to discredit Terry as he was great IMO but using such as a yardstick isn't fair. Messi na bad guy. Na Ramos and co fit explain better. |

sinizia: The first time I encountered this dumb Boateng-over-Terry comparison, I never used Messi-Boateng dribble to base my judgment. I can't coz I can't even count the number of defenders Messi has disgraced. I also didn't bring it up yesterday, I only concurred. My issue is not that Boateng is wack. I know when to drop rivalry and acknowledge a good player. Boateng is definitely among the top CBs presently. If Man Utd would get him without paying over the tops, I'll be happy. Smalling needs a good partnership like him. My angst is insulting Terry and our collective intelligence by rating Boateng over Terry. He didn't even use defenders like Ramos, Nesta, Cannavaro, etc., it's Boateng. WTF is Boateng to be better than Terry coz he won the WC/beasted a WC final? You know a reason is beyond myopic when "beasting" a WC final is the ONLY criteria to rate a player over the other.
Boateng beasted and won a WC final, but who in his senses will rate him above Maldini that won and beasted none?
Rivaldo beasted and won a WC final. Even Rivaldo will slap anyone that rates him over Ferenc Puskas. It's a taboo to try such in football.
Goetze is the man of the match in a WC final, Villa was among the backbone of Spain's WC victory, can any sane human rate them above the LEGENDARY EUSEBIO? They are not even in his level!! Fúck the WC!!
Just to win an argument, someone's line of reasoning is making Boateng better than Maldini. If this kind of madness is allowed to fester on this section, one day someone will rate Eto'o over Ronaldo of Brazil. You have said it all and I must give it to you. As per the emboldened, guys dey wey go argue am sir |

I will personally pick Terry over Boateng any time any day. But, I think it's unfair using Boateng's fall against Messi to ridicule him. Afterall, Messi can rubbish any player at any moment. If in doubt, ask Madrid defenders |

AdeLaNa1: He might not ve a world cup medal, still Terry was a great defender at his prime. FIFA and UEFA kindly acknowledge that fact.
Comparing Boateng to Terry is like comparing a Babcock student(Boateng) who had a first class to an OAU/UI student(Terry) who had a 2-1 in the same course. We all know if both went for an interview, the OAU student will get picked first before the Babcock student.
That's how useless Boateng is in anything related to Terry!! I hope the emboldened does not take into consideration the Nigeria of today sha? |

calculator123: .hope this doesn't cost us in champs league. We can only give them our support and hope they are able to carry on. It's obvious they are all fatigued. As regards Busi holding on to ball for long, that one aspect of his game nobody is happy with and it's also been part of him. It's now more glaring due to the drop in his level of play. |

calculator123: he needs to up his game o,else bench thingz. Who wan bench am? Our midfield is worse off without him. He might not be doing really fine now, and who exactly is doing excellently well in the team presently? Alba? Suarez? Ney? It's obvious playing every three days is taking its toll on the guys. Busi is one of the players without a potential back up in the team which should be a major concern to us. We must give it to them for always grinding out result no matter how poor the play may be. If we have not called for suarez' replacement for misfiring, neymar's poor run of form at a point, Alba's present poor performance, I think it's harsh calling for Busi's replacement for not doing fine ATM. |

In all fairness, Villareal got a well deserved point. Pique should have seen red in the 1st half, we were 2 goals up in the 1st half albeit fortuitous 2nd goal. Alves and Mathieu were then sent in to help crown Villareal's effort with success. I admire their fighting spirit. |

They might perform better in any other team but definitely not in this Barca setup would they perform better than Busi. I don't care whether cules say he's been pivotal in our recent success, I'm not just seeing his impact as a holding midfielder, neither am I comfortable with the way he holds on to the ball recklessly in our own half...he's too lethargic; has not been able to read the game as perfectly as he use to, and plays too casual especially in front of our 18 yard box....
I just wish Luis Enrique would talk some sense into him....try these kind of shenanigans against a team like Bayern in UCL & we'd be made to endure unforgettable throes... Can you please suggest a better replacement? |

Nice game and kudos to the boys for a job well done. Arsenal tried all they could, defended and attacked massively but failed to make their efforts count. Our boys took it easy with them and were able to absorb their pressure. TerStegen did a great job and showed us he could be the best keeper in the world with time. Suarez produced a moment of magic by scoring a breathtaking goal as MSN did what they do best to finish off the job. Kudos to the coach and the players. |

Hello friends; the moment we have all be waiting for is upon us. Can Arsenal pull one of the greatest comebacks in football history? Or are we gonna witness another massacre? We will find out in the next 5hours.
My expected line up is this: ......... TerStegen...... Alves....Masch.....Mathieu.......Alba ................Busi
....Rakitic...............Iniesta .............MSN
1. TerStegen, a very good, talented and brilliant shot stopper with good reflexes and apt ball distribution would have his hands full in the early exchanges as Arsenal would try to score an early goal to boost their faint hope of scaling through. His composure, brilliance and readiness would be put to test. 2. Mascherano is expected to lead the defence line in the absence of Pique. He will definitely miss his partner in crime for his aerial ability, exquisite control and excellent ball distribution from the defence. Mascherano must be ready to absorb all the pressure thrown at him by Arsenal forwards who would be desperately bombarding the defence with the aim of getting something positive. 3. Sergio Busquets is the anchor of the Barca midfield. An unsung hero who has always been underrated in the Barca setup. He's not known for his physical presence, but his tactical awareness and positioning details stand him out as the best among his equals. For the team to assert its authority as usual, Busi has to bring his A game. He must be ready to nullify whatever Arsenal have to offer in the middle of the park. 4. Messi. Messi is Messi. Arsenal can only pray he has a bad day. And if he does, his partner in crime will take care of proceedings.
Arsenal are hoping to upturn a 2 goal deficit, and as such would rather opt to attack than sitting back. It's gonna be an entertaining 90mins as we watch the best team in the world take on their inferior version(polished Barca B). |

None. Nothing has been won yet! 2. Sevilla. They started the season poorly due to new players trying to settle and find their rhythm. They could have been above Madrid by now. 3. Real Madrid. They are nothing but complete disaster. 4. Celta Vigo. They are unlucky to have lost their best player to injury when he was needed most. |

I can only pitty Arsenal now, it's been been easy for them lately. Their total downfall started the day their fans started claiming almost all their players were better than Barca player. One aboki even claimed Suarez was slightly better than Giroud while Alexis(that left Barca for Neymar) was better than Neymar. One can only feel sorry for them now for what awaits them at the Camp of no messi. I can only say it's gonna be #totalannihilation |
