Okeytus:So online response on time is now something to celebrate. Your power has been fluctuating, damaging many households electrical appliances, you didn't call them out and demand damages(even if we know that won't happen)but you are here celebrating them responding to you online, without even having come physically to rectify the problem! I am speechless!! |
Where did u buy your own fuel 1k? Mega stations selling at less than 600 with queue, others above 650-700 without queue |
symbianDON:You also noticed. This same story line was used to promote true caller on different threads. Does true caller pay agents for promoting their application because I don't understand all these childish marketing |
LegendHero:Let's pretend we are having an intellectual discussion and not the usual sentimental, beer parlour discussions common on nairaland of recent;how does Nigerians getting dollars to fund their credit account of benefit to the Nigerian economy? If you are still sourcing for dollars to fund frivolous spending, how does that help the present dire foreign currency situation we find ourselves in? |
Lizzysamuel:What is even the win here? Is the card not going to be funded in dollars? |
scammer you mean |
DaddyCoool:You don't even understand the point the Op is making, which is: because of the exorbitant price of fuel, even so called bigmen are ready to spend hours at fuel stations that are selling at affordable price of 650+ rather than enter without hassle and buy at those selling at 800-1k |
kingar:Some people would not understand. It's only when you are into private business or enterprise that you would understand Nigeria is in a monumental crisis and an inflexion point in our history. It's only civil servants, particularly the federal civil servants that will weather the storm once the new minimum wage is approved;every other sector, employment or business is in severe distress(those still existing at all)! |
He should just shut up,accusing everyone but himself of culpability in his son's death. You took your son to a church then invited a doctor as a "bigman" to come treat him while all the while the boy was deteriorating in health. I know how some of these so called bigmen and well to do,but poorly enlightened people behave;they invite a nurse or doctor at home, for what they perceive are simple ailments, tell him or her to treat for, most commonly "malaria and typhoid". Doctor let's "use drip"it's been long he treated for malaria or "maybe the last malaria drug he used was even fake","he just came back from school with all those kinds of foods they give them there, doctor flush his system with drip and give him strong antibiotics". You would be surprised at what some of these people do,but when things go south, they turn around to accuse others of culpability, even including the doctor they were suggesting diagnosis and treatment plans for. |
SERAP is a medium for cornering foreign aid money. Let anyone show me one court case SERAP has won or has made any goverment or institution it filed a case against to make a policy reversal since 1999 or so. If you check the board or executives of SERAP they will be living large in Lekki or Banana Island while scamming foreign donors that it's been advancing policy redirection and rethink in Nigeria. |
Curious345:Do they know anything than to lie. How is it even possible for people there to even be paying rent, talkless of 250k.These are people that more or less are homeless because they can't afford to pay rent, now one imp is lying to us they were paying 250k! The annoying thing about some of these stories dished out care freely is that you see and read people that believe it.Even journalists that are supposedly trained to ask questions and query information given to them will carry such stories hook, line and sinker |
SINisSIN:Why do I find this idea innovative and may even be silently effective. |
vozkined:Only imbeciles believed the 250k lies. Even if it was criminals that do robberies under the bridge that lived there, how many successful raids can they carry out in a year to get rent of 250k,feed,go out,buy water and then "flenjure" on top. At most these people were paying 25k a year which is more likely to even be monthly 2k or 3k because they can't afford to raise and save money for yearly payment. |
lordm:Na so we see am everyday, one crap after another. Tomorrow one mumu woman go dey say why her own male admirer dey only give her 2k,5k and sometimes not even Chichi, while one lady that husband has "4 shops" but cannot feed,is being given 200k,500k,maybe even ₦1m by a fellow male admirer. |
So why doesn't the US where houses are annually flooded due to torrential rains and severe weather events with some houses even carried away, resort to demolition of the flooded houses as the only solution? Houses flooded, solution is demolition of such houses;thunder strikes or rains, not even heavy rains falls, solution is to immediately cut off power supply in Nigeria! |
jmoore:If the part about free prepaid metres is true, that is commendable. Paying for prepaid metres when you already paid for electricity connection to your house or facility is a fraud many people are still not complaining about. You pay ₦85k to have prepaid metres when you would eventually be paying monthly tariff. Though 8 heard that in the North p It's like the GSM companies asking one to pay for a separate application for billing you when you use their network, after buying their sim card and buying a phone. |
Meanwhile Babablu is somewhere chilling |
achorladey:The brain challenged one that said "subsidy is gone",one year on,show what that policy has benefitted the country. With removal of subsidy at least there should have been massive investment in the sector and fuel queues would have been a distant memory. But here we are. It's not by shouting and taking populist decisions that makes you a leader,is looking at all the factors involved and knowing the best way forward. Nigeria will NEVER recover from that ill fated, psychotic policy done at same time naira was floated. There is no other way than for government to do what it's about to do,stupidly increase salaries of public civil servants and hope the private sector, now in intensive care, can magically follow to some degree. But how can the business man or woman in that sector increase wages when their cost of production has shot up through the roof? |
GloriousGbola:See this ill and poorly informed:YarAdua started electoral reforms that culminated in the little improvement GEJ further consolidated,YarAdua stopped the Virgin deal because it wasn't beneficial to Nigeria. He reversed the sale of the refineries because he clearly saw they were to cronies that would have crippled the sector or sold to third parties that could do the job, while they reaped massive profits just by selling. It's the same issue happening with the power sector now,the Gencos and Dencos sold to political associates have neither added nor improved electricity distribution by a single kWh,they all saw it as a place where they could reap massive profits without being ready or having the funds to invest. As a Northerner he nonetheless conceived the amnesty program,he reversed the kerosene subsidy removal because he knew the deleterious effect. YarAdua wasn't a "socialist" as someone claimed,he was rather a pragmatist or social capitalist, the kind of economic model practiced by European and other developed Nations. It's only the US that practices a pure capitalist economy, every other developed world practices some form of social capitalism. He replaced Ribadu not for any other reason but the feeling that someone else could do better. If he had lived and seen that Waziri wasn't doing well he would have removed her. This is the only president that lived up to the billing of being non corrupt in act and deed, declared his assets and those of his family,Openly and was ready to act on any corrupt case,no matter the person involved. Remember during his time SM wasn't in vogue,so if he had come in this era when SM was is a large part of the world,I bet he would have acted on many of the ills being pointed out in officials and appointees of his. The drawback YarAdua had was that his health was failing him,so he couldn't scrutinize what his family members and close associates were doing that was tarnishing everything he stood for. For donkey years Buhari had been shouting on how corruption was our Achilles heel and how he was going to confront it,heads on. When he gained power and was supposed to lay the simplest and basic of all foundations, declaring his asset publicly,he shirked from it. Nobody was interested in the asset of YarAdua during his time, but without prompting he declared the entire family assets and forced GEJ to do same. Forget,YarAdua 8 years would have transformed nigeria |
If you don't know the game by now,you should return your school certificate:soon they would go to markets or areas populated by a certain tribe, mop some of them up,dump them by the niger bridge and claim they are jobless, homeless people that pleaded to be relocated to their home states and cite this initial deportation as evidence that it's not ethnic linked. |

beejaay:Go and sleep because you clearly have no clue about what you wrote |
When the original thread about this issue was opened, see the reply someone gave↓ Assumed people that went to secondary school support and believe what the man did and claims to have made. You are in the public service and yet buying investment properties with funds you claim are from investors and within 6 years 56m is now worth ₦20b all solely through the investments you made. The man is simply operating a Ponzi/money laundering/illegal/criminal enterprise and any person with an education that doesn't see it that way and was waiting or believe this present clarification,is just wasted on education or is a supporter of such criminality

Then be ready to buy a bag of rice for 500k,cement 50k,fuel 5k/litre and the shortest transport from CMS to Ajah 5k. 2BR in Ajah 5m and in Lekki 8-10m/annum. 1room self con in Banana Island 5m. Ikorodu 2-3m for 3BR 3 Families of 4 each would be sharing 3 BR flat or 2BR flat. The people that will suffer and have increased suicidal rates are those in the private sector, big, but particularly medium and small sized companies or 1 man businesses and their workers. Many 1 man businesses will just go extinct |
evictor305:Anyone spreading that kidnap rubbish should be arrested pronto! There seems to be an orchestrated move on the SM to push the kidnap narrative, probably by the culprits. Someone was kidnapped but still has clean clothes and still looking fresh.Even the emotional stress of being in a kidnapper's den will drain you physically, talkless of the deprivations. Kidnap kor, adultnap ni! |
CrossRhodes:Not necessarily runs per se,though that's a high probability Could have been to a friend's house to stay, something went wrong, may even be that she had an ailment and died coincidentally from it,then out of panic, they or someone did this. Why I don't buy the one chance theory is that if it had been one chance robbery that she died from,it could only have been from a object being used, she struggled with her assailants while assaulting her or she was thrown out of the vehicle;any of the aforementioned would have seen her with torn, rumpled clothes and at least bruises on different parts of her body. None of this is showing from this picture |
Wao. Such a beautiful person gone like that! Looking at her you would think she is just lying there after at worse getting high overnite, but to imagine she is dead is hard to take. Whoever did this to this person should be caught. All those saying it's one chance should also contemplate 1 other possibility I think the police should look into:she may have accidentally died in someone's home or a hotel she went to lodge in with someone, then out of panic the guy with other friends drove out to this spot and dumped her;or of it's a hotel connived with the hotel management to dump her,to avoid incriminating them, like happened to that postgraduate student that died in that hotel in Osun State or so. This case with proper investigation should be sweet to solve:once she is identified, police should track her phone or plead for any of her female friends that last spoke with her to come forward without fear of arrest(females confide in their friends their "runs" or destination),from there they can easily track her movement or the place she last visited and I trust the Nigerian police for that, once her last physical location is known, they would get the truth from that person or people she stayed with. |
Nland gone to the dogs! For a moderator,an assumed educated person, even if it's primary school education not to know that this is a lie or a poorly scripted skit, just tells you all you need to know about how this great forum has sunk!! Educated people once used to flock here and some still do,but when you see posts like this on FP knowing you reading a post is being moderated by a poorly educated person,it makes you sad. |
Okponu. Some also bought when ₦ was 1700 and even 1900 believing it would get to at least 2k within a month and more with more patience. Those people were also waiting to reap at least ₦100m profit, but they are gnashing their teeth now, only to income massive losses when the ₦ appreciated. Any sensible person will know currency trading is a 50-50 and there is a line that should be drawn,i.e,even if one hates and detests Tinubu and even if he is the devil himself, anything he does to boost the ₦ will be welcome and those jubilating that the ₦ is depreciating are nothing but scumbergs. You can oppose him for every other thing but being happy about the ₦ woes so you can profit from it does not differentiate you from the man you accuse of all things evil and corrupt because you too are! |
200 grown up men living with another grown up,doing what? To this guy,it's now an achievement and shows the benevolence of Davido or what? |
Kills her child. Using son does not convey the essence of the story.Makes it sound like it's am adult that was rejected |
Hungrychicken:Pharmacist or chemist has scanned you with staph aureus. Bet you after the drugs it may still not resolve because the bumps and itching there maybe a viral kind of infection,Herpes or even simply from a skin infection caused by using your boxers or underwears for long or under a moist environment(in this case it may accidentally resolve from the concoction of medications you got,not that the so called pharmacist was correct about you having staph). Ask yourself this:if staph showed from the urine test, which indicates it must have passed through your blood and kidney then shows in the urine, why is it only your joystick that is affected and not your entire skin or other manifestations in your body? Staph kor, coccus nil! |
